David Mayhew
David Mayhew (No. 17 MMI Racing Chevrolet) has six wins, nine poles, 39 top fives and 57 top 10s in 79 career K&N West starts. Ranks fourth in points. In four previous starts at Colorado National Speedway, has one top five and two top 10s. Did not participate in this event last year. Has also competed in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR Nationwide Series, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series.-KNPSW
D.J. Kennington Autodrome St-Eustache advance 07-22-2014
D.J. Kennington
D.J. Kennington (No. 17 Castrol Edge/Mahindra Tractors Dodge) maintains series record for career NASCAR Canadian Tire Series wins (tied-19), top fives (64) and top 10s (77), and is one of three drivers to start each of the 92 all-time events. Also ranks second in series history in laps led (2,754) and fifth in poles (10). Holds the NCATS record for most career oval victories with 16. Has won at eight different circle tracks, including Autodrome St-Eustache. All 10 of his career poles have been earned ovals. Has a streak of 55-consecutive races without at DNF. Last DNF came at Riverside International Speedway in 2007. Ranks fifth in points after five events. Has a win (2010), a pole (2009), three top fives and an average finish of seventh in the five previous Autodrome St-Eustache events.-NCATS
Jamie Dick sports new sponsor at Indianapolis 07-22-2014
When Jamie Dick and his Viva Auto Group Chevrolet hit the track in Indianapolis, they will be sporting a new look.

Viva Motorsports
The logo of Fronius USA will be featured on the lower quarter panels of the No. 55 Camaro. Viva Motorsports will be using the newly released Fronius AccuPocket welder for the 2014 season. The Viva Motorsports team will be rolling out car VM-010 for weekend's race. This car was last used at Michigan International Speedway. VM-005 will serve as backup.
Ryan Newman's flat track finesse 07-22-2014
Ryan Newman
Ryan Newman could be one of this week's best mid-cap picks. In five flat track races this year, he failed to crack the top 10 only one time at Martinsville in March. Newman's Pocono 400 effort netted a seventh-place finish and last week's effort at New Hampshire was a fifth following some late-race attrition. Fantasy owners should prepare for a finish in the sixth- to ninth-place range this week.
McDowell has back-to-back complete races 07-22-2014
Michael McDowell
Michael McDowell has been running on the lead lap in his last two races of 2014 and he hopes that trend continues in the Crown Royal 400. The team attempted to make the majority of the races at the beginning of the season and their results suffered. Since scaling back, they have been able to consolidate their resources and run much better. In a marquee race like the Crown Royal 400 each position is worth a considerably higher payday, which could mean the difference in making or missing some shows later in the season.
AJ Allmendinger is a good mid-range pick 07-22-2014
AJ Allmendinger
AJ Allmendinger has five previous starts at Indy with the majority of them ending in the 20s. That should make him a good mid-range pick this week with a potentially strong upside. He finished 10th on this track in 2008 for Red Bull Racing and was 16th in one of his attempts with Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM). His equipment at JTG-Daugherty Racing should be on par with what was available to RPM in 2010.
Denny Hamlin regains flat track magic 07-22-2014
Denny Hamlin
After struggling at the beginning of the season, Denny Hamlin is regaining his strength on flat tracks. He finished fourth at Pocono and was eighth last week in New Hampshire. Hamlin's eighth at New Hampshire was only part of the story. He spent more time among the top five than any driver except Brad Keselowski and Kyle Busch, which provided him with one of the most dominant performances on a flat track since his return from injury last year. Fantasy owners can once again have confidence in starting the No. 11 on this track type.
Jamie McMurray steps up in marquee events 07-22-2014
Jamie McMurray
Jamie McMurray has a reputation for performing exceptionally well in marquee races. His 2010 Brickyard 400 victory came in his first attempt after rejoining Chip Ganassi's organization. This week's prognosis is not as great, however. McMurray finished fourth at Indy the following year, but his last two attempts ended in results of 22nd in 2012 and 15th in 2013. In five races on flat tracks this year he topped out with 10th-place finishes at Phoenix and Pocono, which is the high water mark fantasy owners should expect on Sunday.
Fitzpatrick Autodrome St-Eustache advance 07-22-2014
John Fitzpatrick Jr
J.R. Fitzpatrick (No. 84 Equipment Express Chevrolet) has nine wins, shares the series record with 14 poles, has 39 top fives and 58 top 10s in 83 career NASCAR Canadian Tire Series starts. Won the 2014 opener at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park to extend his series record for wins at the road course to four. Held the points lead following the first four races of the season and now ranks second with top 10s in all five events. Has finishes of fifth (2008), eighth (2010) and third (2013) in three previous Autodrome St-Eustache starts.-NCATS
Indy double-duty for Trevor Bayne 07-22-2014
Trevor Bayne
Trevor Bayne makes his second NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon. Bayne started third and finished 16th in this event last season. In 10 career starts on 2.5-mile tracks in the NNS, Bayne has recorded one top-five and four top-10 finishes, with an average finish of 18th. Bayne will also be piloting the No. 21 Motorcraft / Quick Lane Ford Fusion for the Wood Brothers Sunday afternoon in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS). Bayne has made three previous starts at the 2.5-mile rectangular oval in the NSCS, earning a best finish of 17th in 2012.-Roush Fenway Racing
Brad Keselowski poised for best Indy finish 07-22-2014
Brad Keselowski
Brad Keselowski is still looking for his first Brickyard 400 top-five. His previous best was a pair of ninth-place finishes in 2011 and 2012. Coming off wins in the last two unrestricted oval races should give him the momentum necessary to accomplish the feat. He has also been incredibly strong on flat tracks with a second-place finish in Pocono, a third at Phoenix, and a fourth at Richmond. Keselowski should be a lock for a top-five finish and will be on a majority of rosters.
Kyle Busch one of Indy's favorites 07-22-2014
Kyle Busch
Kyle Busch looks to improve one position over his last two unrestricted speedway efforts. He finished second to Brad Keselowski at Kentucky and New Hampshire. This week, he hopes to shed his role as a bridesmaid and become the bride. There is a lot to be said for entering a race like the Brickyard 400 with momentum on one's side and Busch has been good there in the past. He enters the weekend with a four-race, top-10 streak but only one of those was a top-five. He finished second in the 2012 edition of this race and could be due a victory if the cards fall his way.
Landon Cassill hopes to improve at Indy 07-22-2014
Landon Cassill
Landon Cassill will make his fourth NASCAR Cup attempt at Indy this Sunday. His previous best finish was a 20th in 2011 driving for James Finch. Cassill is not expected to finish that well, but if he can regain some of his early-season mojo on flat tracks he could be a better-than-average value. He finished 25th and 26th at Martinsville and Richmond respectively, but fell into the mid-30s at Pocono and New Hampshire in his most recent attempts.
Jimmie Johnson batting 500 recently at Indy 07-22-2014
Jimmie Johnson
Jimmie Johnson's four Brickyard 400 victories have come in the past eight years, which means he is batting 0.500 in that regard. His most recent win came in 2012. Johnson also has a second-place finish last year, but he has not been immune to trouble. Accidents, blown engines, and missed setups in the closing laps have sent him home outside the top 15 in half of his starts and worse than 30th on three of 12 occasions.
