Matt Carter joins new JGL Racing team Gregg Mixon has reunited with his former NASCAR Nationwide business partner James Whitner of Bakersfield, CA. to form a new NASCAR Nationwide Series team; JGL Racing. It will run two cars full time in the 2014 season. JGL has purchased Penske cars and will be utilizing the Penske Engine Lease program. The team is proud to announce It's driver line up for the Drive4COPD 300 at Daytona. Former Daytona winner Mike Wallace will be behind the wheel of the No. 28 . He will be bringing years of successful speedway experience to the table. Mike's teammate will be Travis Carter's son Matt Carter driving the No. 93. Tom Hessert one of four testing at Talladega 01-27-2014
Three ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards teams are testing today at Talladega Superspeedway in preparation for the season opening Lucas Oil 200 presented by MAVTV American Real at Daytona Int'l Speedway.

Ken Schrader Racing (driver Clay Campbell), Mason Mitchell Motorsports (driver Mason Mitchell) and Cunningham Motorsports with drivers Tyler Reddick and Tom Hessert are making laps today at Talladega. "We've had a really good test today," said Hessert, driver of the No. 77 Cunningham Motorsports Barbera's Autoland Dodge. "It really started at the Daytona test so today's test is really all about fine-tuning a couple things."
Townley going full ARCA season with Venturini 01-27-2014

Venturini Motorsports (VMS) and Zaxby's agreed on a full season sponsorship deal featuring John Wes Townley. He will pilot VMS's No.15 Zaxby's Toyota Camry during the upcoming 20-event ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards schedule. He has raced part-time for VMS since 2010 competing in both ARCA and NASCAR Nationwide events. In 2013, he made headlines by winning the ARCA season opener at Daytona and finished 11th overall in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) driver standings competing with Red Horse Racing. This is Townley's second major offseason announcement to be released in recent weeks. In December, Townley publicized his move from Red Horse Racing to join Wauters Motorsports and the No.5 Zaxby's Toyota Tundra team for a full season campaign in the NCWTS series.-Venturini Motorsports
