In Saturday night's Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway, Ryan Newman scored a solid 10th-place finish. It was his eighth top-10 of the season and his sixth top-10 at Daytona in 24 starts. In the final two-lap sprint to the finish, he picked up nine spots to record the top-10 despite being caught up in the final-lap wreck that caused extensive damage to the Outback Steakhouse Chevrolet. Kurt Busch's sixth-place result in Saturday night's Sprint Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway lifted the Furniture Row Racing driver into the top-10 in the point standings. His ninth-place standing is the highest of the season for Busch, who moved into the Chase picture with eight races remaining before NASCAR's 10-race playoff format begins. The top-10 drivers in points qualify for the Chase along with two wildcards. Busch's Daytona finish was his third straight top-10 and eighth top-10 of the season. Andrew Ranger became a repeat winner at Circuit ICAR with a victory on Sunday in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 Jiffy Lube 100. The two-time series champion from Roxton Pond, Quebec went wire-to-wire for the win - his 17th career series victory and 14th on a road course. Ranger had set a track record on the 2.113-mile airport road course a day earlier in winning the pole. Johnson's team wins Daytona race awards 07-07-2013

Besides winning the race, Jimmie Johnson's team wins two race awards in the Sprint Cup Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway. Johnson earned the 3M Lap Leader award (94 of 161 laps). He started the No. 48 Chevrolet SS eighth in the lineup and won the race. Hendrick Engines won the Mahle Clevite Engine Builder of the Race award. Johnson is currently the leader in the 2013 Sprint Cup point standings.

The award is given to the eligible driver that records the fastest average speed on restarts and finishes the race on the lead lap. He earned the award for his 18th place finish in the Sprint Cup Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway. The driver of the No. 93 Toyota Camry is currently 35th in the 2013 Sprint Cup point standings.

The award is given to the highest eligible driver in the running order at the time of the first caution of each race. The driver of the No. 5 Chevrolet SS earned the award in the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway. Kahne, while running in the top five, wrecked on the last lap and was credited with a 32nd place finish. He is currently 12th in the 2013 point standings.

The award goes to the crew chief that improves the most from first half of the race to the second half utilizing the 40 best lap times (improved 0.219 seconds). Harvick started the race in 26th place and finished in third. He is currently fourth in the 2013 Sprint Cup point standings.

The award is given to the eligible driver (contingent on decal display) who clocks the fastest lap of the race. The No. 16 Ford driver had a 17th place finish in the Sprint Cup Coke Zero 400. He is currently eighth in the 2013 Sprint Cup point standings.
