John B. Holmes, Saturday 8/9, 8:31 PM CT
With golf ruined by the onset of rain during today's 3rd round of competition at the PGA Championship, we turn our eyes to tomorrow and believe a weather update is deserved. With John B. Holmes holding the lead at -1 for the tourney, failing to even get on the course today and facing 36 holes of golf tomorrow, the forecast calls for sun in the morning with possible showers and storms in the afternoon, according to Weather.com.

Our View: A projected high of just 74 degrees suggests rain is likely to be an issue once again, and with the bulk of the field facing a long day of golf, it seems all too likely that the tourney may push into Monday.
Henrik Stenson, Saturday 8/9, 8:26 PM CT
The day has officially ended at the PGA Championship with many golfers in the midst of rounds or failing to tee up a single ball on the day as rain forced an early closure to Oakland Hills, leaving many with two rounds to play on Sunday. The list of golfers without a single hole played on Saturday includes leader J.B. Holmes, Charlie Wi, Ben Curtis, Justin Rose, David Toms, Henrik Stenson , Angel Cabrera, and Brandt Snedeker.

Our View: All will be out at the crack of dawn tomorrow to get started, and we will see if these big hitters can make a run to join the fray. We suggest you watch Stenson, one of the most underrated international players in the game. He has been a force on nearly every track he's hit this year and we expect he will put his best foot forward over 36 holes of golf on Sunday.
Rocco Mediate, Saturday 8/9, 4:22 PM CT
Fan favorite Rocco Mediate has found another progressive effort at the links of Oakland Hills today, site of this year's PGA Championship. Opening with a troubling round of 73 (+3) on Thursday, Mediate sat as a player worthy of watching as scores went high. Since then, he held true with a round of 74 on Friday to qualify for weekend play, followed by today's round of 72 to bring the rising veteran to +9 for the tourney heading into Sunday.

Our View: While the overall score of +9 after three days earns Mediate a spot at T47 on the leaderboard heading into the fourth and final round, only one player currently sits below par for the three days. If Mediate plays well out Sunday, he could find a respectable finish at the last major of the season.
Robert Allenby, Saturday 8/9, 4:17 PM CT
After scoring a round of 72 on Friday to make the cut on the number and move into weekend play, Robert Allenby repeated the performance on Saturday, posting the same score (+2) to come to +10 overall, nearly a dozen full strokes back of the lead at this week's PGA Championship.

Our View: Allenby has been one of the hottest hands on the Tour over recent weeks and came into Oakland Hills with hopes of surging towards a victory. Instead, Allenby has found obstacles too tough to overcome and will need an absolute miracle to earn a finish that will please fantasy owners with his name on the roster for the week.
Geoff Ogilvy, Saturday 8/9, 4:13 PM CT
As one of the only golfers in the field to beat the rain and complete his third round before delays, Geoff Ogilvy found frustration was the theme of the day, posting his second consecutive round of 74 (+4) at the PGA Championship to fall to +11 for the tourney, well out of contention for a top leaderboard position.

Our View: Ogilvy has struggled much more often than not against top fields this season, and while the former major winner still earns respect as one of the top young international golfers in the sport, his value has taken a severe hit in terms of fantasy golf looking forward.
Vijay Singh, Saturday 8/9, 4:09 PM CT
Several of the world's top players suffered through troubles at this week's PGA Championship, resulting in missed cuts that have kepth some of the game's best out of weekend action. That list includes Adam Scott, Stewart Cink, Stephen Ames, Trevor Immelman, Lee Westwood, Ryuji Imada, and Vijay Singh.

Our View: Singh was the big winner the week before, taking the trophy at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational, but he found the ability to repeat such a strong performance over the course of consecutive tourneys was too tough to overcome. That leaves Singh, as well as many others, without a stroke of luck while Tiger Woods was out of action. The next time a major comes along, it seems likely Tiger will be in the field.
Andres Romero, Saturday 8/9, 4:02 PM CT
Rain has hampered progress of today's third round at Oakland Hills, site of this year's PGA Championship, but not before Andres Romero registered a 65, five full strokes under par, bringing him to +2 for the tourney.

Our View: Romero earned his first PGA victory earlier this season and has found a knack for making a charge at the major tourneys of recent seasons. Today he registered one of the top scores of the week thus far, putting him on the radar for a top leaderboard position at the tourney heads towards the final round on Sunday.
