Maxime Talbot, C, Pittsburgh PenguinsSunday 5/4, 11:58 PM CT
Maxime Talbot remained out on Sunday due to a broken right foot, and the Penguins don't know if he'll be ready for the next round, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Our View: Talbot is only day-to-day, so we imagine he be able to play at some point in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Milan Michalek, W, San Jose SharksSunday 5/4, 11:14 PM CT
Milan Michalek was injured shortly before the end of regulation in Game 6 against the Stars on Sunday. The forward received a rough body check and remained on the ice, the Ticker reports. He was taken to the locker room.

Our View: We're sure more information will be available after the game, although NHL teams are notorious for covering up injuries.
Phil Kessel, C, Boston BruinsSunday 5/4, 10:30 PM CT
Phil Kessel had a hat trick in Team USA's 5-1 win over Slovenia on Sunday, the AP reports.

Our View: It's no secret that Kessel has a ton of potential. He is still only 20, and hopefully he can use a strong summer to vault himself up the fantasy rankings next season.
Dany Heatley, W, Ottawa SenatorsSunday 5/4, 8:38 PM CT
Dany Heatley notched a goal and three assists in Team Canada's 7-0 win over Latvia on Sunday, the AP reports.

Our View: Heatley had a slightly down year due to some missed games, but we have no doubt he'll be a high fantasy draft pick again in 2008-09.
Jaromir Jagr, W, New York RangersSunday 5/4, 7:59 PM CT
Jaromir Jagr isn't ready to hang up his skates, but he's not sure what uniform he'll don next year. The 36-year-old forward's contract will void after this postseason. "I know I’m going to play somewhere (next season)—I still feel I’ve got many years left if I decide to work at it," Jagr tells the AP.

Our View: Jagr's digits dipped this season, but he was great in the playoffs and we know he can still get it done. We have little doubt he'll be a fantasy asset in 2008-09, no matter where he lands.
Evgeni Malkin, W, Pittsburgh PenguinsSunday 5/4, 7:56 PM CT
Evgeni Malkin scored in Sunday's series-ending win over the Rangers. The 21-year-old center finished the series with four goals and three assists in five games.

Our View: Malkin should be a first-round pick in fantasy leagues next year, and his playoff numbers don't surprise anyone.
Nigel Dawes, W, New York RangersSunday 5/4, 7:54 PM CT
Nigel Dawes netted a goal in Sunday's loss to the Penguins. The 23-year-old forward finished the postseason with four points over 10 games.

Our View: Dawes put together an okay rookie season, and we expect better things come 2008-09.
Marian Hossa, W, Detroit Red WingsSunday 5/4, 7:51 PM CT
Marian Hossa buried the Rangers with a game-winning, series-ending, overtime goal on Sunday. It was his second goal of the game and fifth of the postseason.

Our View: Fantasy owners don't need to be told that Hossa is a solid player, and he is having a very good postseason.
Sean Avery, W, Dallas StarsSunday 5/4, 12:25 PM CT
Sean Avery has been released from the hospital on Sunday, five days after suffering a season-ending spleen injury in a playoff game against Pittsburgh, according to the AP.

Our View: The hospital reported that he is doing well and is recovering quickly.
Philippe Boucher, D, Dallas StarsSunday 5/4, 9:38 AM CT
Philippe Boucher is out for Sunday's Game 6 against San Jose, according to the Dallas Morning News. He is still nursing his hip strain.

Our View: Boucher hasn't played since April 15 due to the injury. The enforcer will continue to be missed on the ice for Dallas.
Kyle McLaren, D, San Jose SharksSunday 5/4, 9:35 AM CT
Kyle McLaren is questionable for Sunday's Game 6 against Dallas, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View: McLaren is yet to see time in the current series against Dallas, and didn't register any points in his five games played against Calgary.
Stu Barnes, C, Dallas StarsSunday 5/4, 9:32 AM CT
Stu Barnes will be a game-time decision for Sunday's Game 6 against San Jose, according to the Dallas Morning News. He is still recovering from concussion-like symptoms.

Our View: He is yet to score a point over three games played in the series against the Sharks, and he only contributed 12 goals over 79 games in the regular season. The team will be fine if he ultimately cannot go.
Maxime Talbot, C, Pittsburgh PenguinsSunday 5/4, 8:16 AM CT
Maxime Talbot remains uncertain to play in Sunday's Game 5 against the Rangers, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Talbot missed Game 4 Thursday because of what is believed to be a broken left foot he sustained in Game 3. He did not join the team for practice at Southpointe but skated earlier, and Coach Michel Therrien said, "He practiced on his own and he felt pretty good, so we'll see for today."

Our View: Gary Roberts would likely replace Talbot in the lineup again if he cannot make it onto the ice. The Penguins are up 3-1 in the series, and Talbot won't be rushed back into action.
Dennis Wideman, D, Boston BruinsSunday 5/4, 8:04 AM CT
Dennis Wideman will undergo hernia surgery sometime next week, according to the Boston Globe. Doctors expect it will be a routine procedure to repair an injury that Wideman sustained about a quarter of the way through the season. The Bruins' 25-year old enforcer becomes a restricted free agent on July 1, and is due for a considerable raise over his 2007-08 earnings of $600,000

Our View: Wideman had a solid season despite playing injured, as he scored 36 points over 81 games, with nine power-play goals and one game-winner. He should be ready to go for next season.
Alexei Kovalev, W, Montreal CanadiensSunday 5/4, 7:57 AM CT
Alexei Kovalev generated a goal and an assist in Saturday's Game 5 loss to the Flyers. Montreal lost the series 4-1, but Kovalev did his job as he scored five points over the five games.

Our View: Kovalev ended the playoffs with 11 points (five goals), but didn't receive enough support to get past Philadelphia.
Jeff Carter, C, Philadelphia FlyersSunday 5/4, 7:52 AM CT
Jeff Carter chipped in two assists in Saturday's 6-4 win over Montreal in Game 5. Carter has now recorded an assist in three straight games.

Our View: Carter has nine points over 12 playoff games this season. He scored 53 points (29 goals) over 82 games in the regular season, and has stepped up his game as he helped lead the Flyers into the next round of action.
Mike Knuble, W, Philadelphia FlyersSunday 5/4, 7:49 AM CT
Mike Knuble scored his third goal of the playoffs in Saturday's 6-4 win over Montreal in series-ending Game 5. He also has four assists.

Our View: Knuble racked up seven points over seven games played in the postseason, and should remain a solid source of production for the Flyers as they head on to the next round.
Mike Richards, C, Philadelphia FlyersSunday 5/4, 7:44 AM CT
Mike Richards recorded one goal and one assist in Saturday's 6-4 win over Montreal in Game 5. The Flyers won the series 4-1, and Richards racked up two goals and two assists over the five games.

Our View: Richards has four goals and seven assists through the playoffs overall.
