Pascal Leclaire, G, Ottawa SenatorsSaturday 11/7, 9:35 PM CT
Pascal Leclaire fell to 5-4-1 on Saturday as the Senators dropped one to the Devils by a score of 3-2. Leclaire faced 25 shots and stopped 22.

Our View: Leclaire had the lead heading into the third tonight, but he allowed two third period goals to get the loss. His 2.66 GAA isn't bad, but fantasy owners would like to see a rise in his .898 save percentage.
Milan Michalek, LW, Ottawa SenatorsSaturday 11/7, 9:30 PM CT
Milan Michalek netted his seventh goal of the season on Saturday as the Senators fell to the Devils 3-2. Michalek took four shots and finished with a plus-1 rating in the game.

Our View: Michalek has adjusted well to life in Ottawa, and he now has seven goals and three assists in 14 games. He finished last season with 57 points for the Sharks, so he looks to be on pace for another nice season.
Martin Brodeur, G, New Jersey DevilsSaturday 11/7, 9:28 PM CT
Martin Brodeur stopped 19 of the 21 shots he faced on Saturday as the Devils beat the Senators 3-2. Brodeur is 9-4 on the season in his 13 starts.

Our View: Brodeur has been exactly as advertised again this season, and he has shown no signs of slowing down despite getting up there in age. As long as he is on the ice, the Devils and fantasy owners alike will have a chance to win.
Zach Parise, LW, New Jersey DevilsSaturday 11/7, 9:25 PM CT
Zach Parise had a power play goal and assisted on the game winner Saturday as the Devils came from behind to beat the Senators 3-2. Parise has 17 points in 15 games this season.

Our View: The Devils got two third period goals to pull this one out, and Parise was a major reason why. He is going to remain a solid fantasy player, but don't expect him to replicate his career year he had last season.
Scott Clemmensen, G, Florida PanthersSaturday 11/7, 9:10 PM CT
Scott Clemmensen was hit with his first loss of the season on Saturday as the Panthers fell to the Capitals 7-4. Clemmensen stopped only 25 of 32 shots faced in the game.

Our View: Clemmensen looked well on his way to his third win of the season heading into the third, but he allowed five third period goals to take the loss. His GAA and save percentage haven't been impressive despite his nice win total, and he doesn't look like a viable fantasy play as the backup to Thomas Vokoun.
Dmitry Kulikov, D, Florida PanthersSaturday 11/7, 9:05 PM CT
Dmitry Kulikov finished with two points and a plus-1 rating in Saturday's game, but the Panthers were outscored by the Capitals 7-4. Kulikov had a goal and an assist in the loss.

Our View: The rookie defenseman has impressed enough to stay on the NHL roster, and he got his first NHL goal in tonight's game. He has seven points so far this season, and it looks like he has a bright future in the league.
Jose Theodore, G, Washington CapitalsSaturday 11/7, 9:02 PM CT
Jose Theodore struggled a bit early on in Saturday's game, but he stiffened up in the third to help the Capitals to a 7-4 win over the Panthers. Theodore faced 28 shots and made 24 saves.

Our View: Not an outstanding performance for Theo tonight, but the Caps outscored the Panthers 5-1 in the third period to come away with the win. The team has gotten 14 points in Theodore's 11 starts this season, but he needs to be more consistent if this team is going to keep winning without Alex Ovechkin.
Mike Knuble, RW, Washington CapitalsSaturday 11/7, 9:00 PM CT
Mike Knuble exploded for four points on Saturday night as the Capitals beat the Panthers 7-4. Knuble finished the game with two goals and two assists.

Our View: Knuble had 10 points heading into tonight's game, and he now has 14 through 17 games. Considering he had only 20 points in 82 games last season with the Flyers, it looks like he is enjoying his new home in Washington. He might be worth a fantasy look now while he is hot, but don't be shocked if the offensive numbers start to drop.
Craig Anderson, G, Colorado AvalancheSaturday 11/7, 8:37 PM CT
Craig Anderson will man the net for the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday against the Oilers, according to beat writer Adrian Dater. Anderson is 11-3-2 on the season.

Our View: The Avs have shocked the league with their hot start, and Anderson is the main reason why they have been so good. He will be in net on most nights, so fantasy owners should keep him in while he is hot.
Ole-Kristian Tollefsen, D, Philadelphia FlyersSaturday 11/7, 8:19 PM CT
Flyers' defenseman Ole-Kristian Tollefsen left Saturday's game in the third period after going hard into the boards. His return to the game is questionable.

Our View: Tollefsen was down on the ice during a rush by the Blues, and he remained down while St. Louis scored the game-tying goal. There is some belief that he may have suffered a concussion, but we will update his status when the team makes a release.
Jason Williams, RW, Detroit Red WingsSaturday 11/7, 8:04 PM CT
Detroit Red Wings' forward Jason Williams left Saturday's game against the Maple Leafs with what appears to be a knee injury. Williams was helped off the ice in the second period and is not expected to return.

Our View: No word yet on the severity of the injury, but it looks like this could be serious. The Wings have already been devastated by injury this season, so this could further deplete the front line in Detroit.
Cam Ward, G, Carolina HurricanesSaturday 11/7, 6:36 PM CT
Hurricanes' goaltender Cam Ward left in the first period of Saturday night's game after being cut by the skate of Columbus forward Rick Nash. Ward was replaced in net by Michael Leighton.

Our View: Ward was bleeding pretty badly when he left the ice, and he looked to be in plenty of pain. We will keep you updated on his injury stats when news is released.
Anze Kopitar, C, Los Angeles KingsSaturday 11/7, 6:06 PM CT
Anze Kopitar posted another point on Saturday in the Kings' 3-1 loss to the Predators. Kopitar assisted on the team's lone goal, and he now has 25 points on the young season.

Our View: If the Kings get on the board, there is a good chance Kopitar was involved in some way. He makes it happen with his excellent goal scoring ability, but he can also contribute in the assist category because of his great skill level. He looks to be moving quickly into elite fantasy status.
Jonathan Quick, G, Los Angeles KingsSaturday 11/7, 6:01 PM CT
Jonathan Quick was hit with his fourth loss of the season on Saturday as the Kings fell to the Predators 3-1. Quick faced 25 shots and stopped 22 in the game.

Our View: Quick's record is very impressive this season at 10-4-2, but he has only stopped 56 of the 64 shots he has faced in his three November starts. He should be a fine fantasy goaltender going forward, but he needs to get out of this mini-slump over the next few games.
Martin Erat, RW, Nashville PredatorsSaturday 11/7, 5:55 PM CT
Martin Erat returned to the lineup with a bang on Saturday as his two assists led the Predators to a 3-1 win over the Kings. Erat had been out since October 28 with a lower-body injury.

Our View: Erat only had one point in his previous 11 games played this season, so this was a nice outburst in his return to the lineup. He started off slowly this season, but hopefully tonight's performance is a sign of good things to come.
Dan Ellis, G, Nashville PredatorsSaturday 11/7, 5:50 PM CT
Dan Ellis helped the Predators to a 3-1 win over the Kings on Saturday. Ellis stopped 27 of the 28 shots he faced in the win.

Our View: Ellis evened his record at 3-3-1 on the season with this win, and the Preds are still alternating two very good goalies. Ellis and Pekka Rinne have both been solid this season, and they will both see time going forward, which obviously hurts both players' fantasy value.
Evgeni Malkin, C, Pittsburgh PenguinsSaturday 11/7, 4:31 PM CT
According to the official Twitter page of the Pittsburgh Penguins, forward Evgeni Malkin skated with the team for the first time since his shoulder injury on Satuday. Malkin has been out since late October with the injury.

Our View: Malkin was scheduled to be out for two-to-three weeks when he went down, so it will probably be another week or so before he gets back to game action. Still, the fact that he skated today is a great sign for Penguin fans and fantasy owners alike.
Mike Green, D, Washington CapitalsSaturday 11/7, 4:25 PM CT
Washington Capitals' beat writer Tarik El-Bashir is reporting that defensemen Mike Green and Jeff Schultz are both out of Saturday's game against the Panthers. Both players left Friday's game due to injury.

Our View: Both players were game-time decisions for tonight's game, and both are being held out. With Alex Oveckin already on IR, the team can ill-afford to be without Green for any amount of time. We will montor the injuries of each player, so stay tuned.
Jose Theodore, G, Washington CapitalsSaturday 11/7, 4:16 PM CT
Jose Theodore will start in net for the Capitals on Saturday, according to the Twitter page of beat writer Tarik El-Bashir. Theodore is 4-2-4 on the season.

Our View: Theodore looked like he was just keeping the job warm for Semyon Varlomov heading into the season, but he has shown that he still has something left. His .912 save percentage and 2.72 GAA are both very impressive, and his win totals should be high if he continues to start on a regular basis.
Bryan Bickell, LW, Chicago BlackhawksSaturday 11/7, 2:41 PM CT
Bryan Bickell has been sent back to the AHL.

Our View: He had one shot on goal in his most recent one game call-up.
Doug Weight, C, New York IslandersSaturday 11/7, 1:20 PM CT
Doug Weight will be out a week as he deals with an upper-body injury, according to Newsday.

Our View: Weight is having a solid season at the age of 38, tallying six points in 11 games. Problem is, he can't stay healthy, making him tough to own in fantasy leagues.
Radek Martinek, D, New York IslandersSaturday 11/7, 1:18 PM CT
Radek Martinek is done for the season after tearing his right ACL, according to Newsday.

Our View: He had just thee points and a negative-one rating in 16 games, so his absence won't be a fantasy factor.
Alexandre Picard, LW, Columbus Blue JacketsSaturday 11/7, 12:39 PM CT
Alexandre Picard has been sent back to the AHL.

Our View: He did not appear in a game during his call-up.
Jonas Gustavsson, G, Toronto Maple LeafsSaturday 11/7, 11:04 AM CT
Jonas Gustavsson is likely to be the Maple Leafs' starting goalie on Saturday, according to team beat reporter Jonas Siegel. This would mark the first time he has started on back-to-back days in his young NHL career.

Our View: The Monster saved 34-of-36 shots on Friday, but faces a very stiff test in the form of the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday. Tonight would be his third straight start over Vesa Toskala.
Daniel Briere, C, Philadelphia FlyersSaturday 11/7, 9:58 AM CT
Daniel Briere (groin) will sit out again on Saturday, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View: This will be the fourth straight game he misses with the lingering injury. He should still be considered day-to-day.
Victor Hedman, D, Tampa Bay LightningSaturday 11/7, 9:56 AM CT
Roookie defenseman Victor Hedman is dealing with a concussion, according to the Tampa Tribune.

Our View: It is considered mild. He has four assists in 14 games this season. He should be considered day-to-day.
Ben Eager, LW, Chicago BlackhawksSaturday 11/7, 8:27 AM CT
Ben Eager missed his 13th straight game on Friday night as he recovers from a concussion, according to the Arlington Daily Herald.

Our View: However, the team thinks he might finally be ready to return on Monday night. Before going down this season, Eager had zero points in two games. His value is primarily in penalty minutes.
Jonathan Toews, C, Chicago BlackhawksSaturday 11/7, 8:25 AM CT
Jonathan Toews (concussion) might finally return to the Blackhawks lineup on Monday night, according to the Arlington Daily Herald.

Our View: Chicago's captain has missed six games thus far. He's recently indicated that he's over the concussion aspect of his injury, and that now he just needs to get reconditioned into game shape. Monday seems very promising.
Mikko Lehtonen, D, Boston BruinsSaturday 11/7, 8:22 AM CT
Mikko Lehtonen has been sent back to the AHL.

Our View: He was with the team for only one game. He is not fantasy relevant.
Patrik Elias, LW, New Jersey DevilsSaturday 11/7, 8:21 AM CT
Patrik Elias (groin) will get the day off on Saturday after making his season debut on Friday, according to the Bergen Record.

Our View: Just as the Devils are phasing him into their lineup, you should do the same in yours. Don't expect him to be playing at 100 percent for around two weeks.
Byron Bitz, RW, Boston BruinsSaturday 11/7, 8:16 AM CT
Byron Bitz (groin) is questionable for Saturday, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View: He has been out the past three games. He has two points in 12 contests this season.
Michal Repik, RW, Florida PanthersSaturday 11/7, 8:13 AM CT
Michal Repik has been recalled from the AHL.

Our View: He played on Friday night, accruing two penalty minutes in five and a half minutes of play. He is not a fantasy option.
