Marian Gaborik, RW, New York RangersTuesday 2/9, 1:47 PM CT
Marian Gaborik received stitches in his knee after getting cut there at practice on Tuesday, according to Newsday.

Our View: No word yet on Gaborik's availability going forward, though his status is at least somewhat iffy for Wednesday night. Check back in tomorrow for more.
Rob Davison, D, New Jersey DevilsTuesday 2/9, 1:45 PM CT
Rob Davison has been recalled from the AHL, according to the Newark Star-Ledger.

Our View: He'll fill in for Anssi Salmela, who's recovering from a concussion. There's no need for fantasy owners to bother with Davison.
Martin Biron, G, New York IslandersTuesday 2/9, 1:43 PM CT
Martin Biron will get the nod against the Predators tonight, according to Newsday.

Our View: The start will be Biron's first since Dec. 27 as he gives Rick DiPietro and Dwayne Roloson a rest. Don't expect many more starts coming Biron's way this season.
Benoit Pouliot, LW, Montreal CanadiensTuesday 2/9, 1:40 PM CT
Benoit Pouliot should be out the next month with an upper-body injury, according to the Montreal Gazette.

Our View: Luckily for Pouliot, the Olympic break is fast approaching, and he won't miss as many NHL games as a result. Keep him reserved for now.
Marc-Andre Bergeron, D, Montreal CanadiensTuesday 2/9, 1:38 PM CT
Marc-Andre Bergeron leg injury is expected to keep him out the next 6-to-8 weeks, according to the Montreal Gazette.

Our View: Bergeron was hit in the leg by a shot on Feb. 4, and it looks like the subsequent injury is worse than originally thought. With the lengthy timetable, it might make sense to cut him loose if there's someone else you've been eying in free agency.
Semyon Varlamov, G, Washington CapitalsTuesday 2/9, 12:24 PM CT
The Capitals have recalled Semyon Varlamov (knee) from his conditioning stint in the AHL, according to the Washington Post.

Our View: There's no word yet on whether Varlamov will get the call for tomorrow's game at Montreal, though it seems like a good bet that he'll get at least one start over Washington's three remaining games before the Olympic break. Varlamov, who's been out since Dec. 7, was a fantastic 12-1-2 prior to getting hurt while posting a 2.21 GAA and .924 save percentage and should regain his starting role over Jose Theodore and Michal Neuvirth before long.
Andre Deveaux, C, Toronto Maple LeafsTuesday 2/9, 11:15 AM CT
Andre Deveaux has been called up by Toronto, according to the Toronto Star.

Our View: Deveaux got a bit of ice time yesterday but is not expected to make too much of an impact. Look for him to be sent back down to the AHL before long.
Nazem Kadri , C, Toronto Maple LeafsTuesday 2/9, 11:13 AM CT
The Maple Leafs have called up Nazem Kadri, according to the Toronto Star.

Our View: A number of the Leafs are dealing with illnesses at the moment, and Kadri will provide depth while they recover. Kadri remains a fine prospect, though it's still unlikely he does much this year.
Ray Emery, G, Philadelphia FlyersTuesday 2/9, 11:09 AM CT
Ray Emery underwent an MRI yesterday and may have a torn labrum that could require surgery at some point down the road, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

Our View: It looks like Emery should be able to play through the hip ailment for the time being and very well may be between the piper for the Flyers on Wednesday when they face the Devils. Still, his fantasy owners should know that he may not be at full strength the rest of this season.
Tuomo Ruutu, LW, Carolina HurricanesTuesday 2/9, 9:46 AM CT
Tuomo Ruutu (upper body) will be back in action for the Hurricanes when they take on Panthers, according to the Raleigh News and Observer.

Our View: Ruutu has missed Carolina's past 15 games, ever since he got hurt fighting Colorado's Darcy Tucker on January 8. With 25 points and 38 PIMs in 39 games this season, it's probably worth getting him back into your lineup.
Ryan Miller, G, Buffalo SabresTuesday 2/9, 9:35 AM CT
Ryan Miller will get the nod to start between the pipes against Boston on Tuesday, according to the Buffalo News.

Our View: Miller has struggled in his three starts this month, all losses, leading to Patrick Lalime getting the nod in Buffalo's last game, though he didn't fare any better. Miller is still one of the best in the business, so be sure to get him right back into your lineup.
Pavol Demitra, LW, Vancouver CanucksTuesday 2/9, 9:30 AM CT
Pavol Demitra will not be available for Vancouver on Tuesday as he tends to a personal matter, according to the Vancouver Sun.

Our View: At this point, it's unknown whether he'll be back for any of the other three remaining games on the Canucks' schedule prior to the Olympic break. Look for Steve Bernier to fill his spot in the lineup.
