Julius Jones, RB, Seattle SeahawksSunday 7/6, 9:40 PM CT
The USA Today reports that a Seahawks' starting tailback won't be named until late in camp. "We probably won't make that decision right until late. We'll go into training camp," Holmgren says. "You know Mo (Morris) and Julius are going to carry the ball a good portion of the time. Leonard's (Weaver) going to be our starting fullback. The one I have to figure out a little bit is how we are going to use Duckett."

Our View: We will follow the situation closely an update you as more becomes known.
Marques Colston, WR, New Orleans SaintsSunday 7/6, 11:08 AM CT
The Saints have had preliminary talks with Marques Colston's agent regarding an extension, but no new progress toward reaching a deal has been made, according to the New Orleans Times Picayune.

Our View: Colston is not expected to be a holdout when training camp begins, but he clearly deserves a lucrative new deal, as he racked up 98 receptions for 1,202 yards and 11 scores in 2007.
Brett Favre, QB, New York JetsSunday 7/6, 10:59 AM CT
There has been a rumor swirling that Brett Favre wants to play for the Panthers, but GM Marty Hurney said, "I don't know where these things come from," according to the Charlotte Observer.

Our View: Jake Delhomme is coming off elbow surgery, but has looked solid so far in the off-season, and the Panthers are content with Matt Moore as the top backup.
Jordy Nelson, WR, Green Bay PackersSunday 7/6, 8:29 AM CT
Rookie receiver Jordy Nelson has garnered praise from coach Mike McCarthy, according to the Kansas City Star. McCarthy said, "In our situation, you need big targets who can be physical under tough conditions. This is a young man who constantly produced, constantly got the job done somehow. He’s picked up our system very well. He’s a smart kid, a good kid. We think he’s going to fit in very well here."

Our View: Nelson is 6-3 218 pounds and is dangerous running after the catch. McCarthy noted that he is picking up their system very well, and he could potentially push James Jones for the number three role this season.
