Marvin Harrison, WR, Indianapolis ColtsSaturday 6/21, 6:04 PM CT
Marvin Harrison isn't expected to do much during training camp in an effort to rest his injured knees, according to ESPN.com. Harrison missed most of last season because of a bursa sac problem under the left kneecap, and he had surgery on the right knee over the offseason.

Our View: The Colts are hoping a limited training camp regimen will allow Marv to stay healthy this season. If the future Hall of Famer isn't able to stay on the field, Anthony Gonzalez will receive a huge boost in value.
Barry Sims, G, San Francisco 49ersSaturday 6/21, 12:03 PM CT
Barry Sims is believed to make a decision on Monday as whether to join the 49ers or the Rams, according to the Sacramento Bee.

Our View: He will go where he will have the best chance to play a solid role, and potentially start. He does not want to join the Patriots as they are well-stocked along the offensive line, and he isn't interested in Baltimore. St. Louis and San Francisco both lack depth, and both clubs reportedly made him a solid offer.
Chas Gessner, WR, Seattle SeahawksSaturday 6/21, 11:54 AM CT
Wide receiver Chas Gessner has been released by the Seahawks, according to the Seattle Times. The team recently signed him on May 14.

Our View: The team is looking for depth at the position, but Gessner failed to make an impression during practice.
Mike Anderson, RB, Saturday 6/21, 11:16 AM CT
Mike Anderson, who was released by the Ravens back in February, has been suspended for at least one year for violating the league drug policy, according to Fox Sports.

Our View: During the suspension, Anderson is permitted to sign with any club, but he is restricted from taking part in any team activities. He was suspended for four games back in 2003 while a member of the Broncos for violating the drug policy as well.
Shane Olivea, T, New York GiantsSaturday 6/21, 11:12 AM CT
Shane Olivea, who was released by the Chargers on February 28, has been suspended for the first four games of the 2008 season for violating the league drug policy, according to Fox Sports.

Our View: Olivea can sign with a team and then participate in training camp and play in preseason games.
Kevin Jones, RB, Chicago BearsSaturday 6/21, 9:42 AM CT
Kevin Jones is on the Titans' radar and the club will be in attendance for his June 28 workout, according to the Tennessean.

Our View: The Titans are believed to have no interest in Travis Henry or Cedric Benson. Jones is making a tremendous recovery from ACL surgery, and several teams are expected to attend his workout.
Geno Hayes, LB, Tampa Bay BuccaneersSaturday 6/21, 9:36 AM CT
The Buccaneers have signed sixth-round linebacker Geno Hayes (Florida State), according to the Tampa Tribune. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Our View: Hayes lacks ideal size at 6-2 225, but is seen as a good fit for the Buccaneers' defensive scheme, which relies on speed and quickness rather than strength and size. He is still a project as a sixth-rounder, but could make some noise in the future if he works hard. He has a great mentor to learn from in Derrick Brooks.
Chris Canty, DE, Dallas CowboysSaturday 6/21, 9:30 AM CT
Defensive end Chris Canty is looking for a long-term deal from the Cowboys, according to the Star-Telegram. Canty signed a one-year, $2.017 million restricted free-agent tender last week after showing up for four weeks of voluntary practices, but he hopes a long-term deal is on the horizon. Canty said, "Obviously, I would like that financial security as soon as possible. It doesn’t necessarily work out in the timing that you want all the time, but I’m confident that something will get done in the near future."

Our View: If he does not get a new deal, he will become an unrestricted free agent in March. He reached a career-best 3.5 sacks in 2007, and could surpass that mark in 2008 with the added motivation of playing for a new contract.
Deke Cooper, S, Saturday 6/21, 7:58 AM CT
The Falcons have signed former Panthers' safety Deke Cooper, according to the AP. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Our View: Cooper made 59 tackles (46 solo) and three interceptions with Carolina in 2007, but should be limited to a bench role at safety behind starters Lawyer Milloy and Erik Coleman, formerly of the Jets.
Harry Douglas, WR, Atlanta FalconsSaturday 6/21, 7:55 AM CT
The Falcons have inked third-round pick Harry Douglas (Louisville) to a four-year deal, according to the AP. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Our View: Douglas is only 5-11 170 pounds, but has great hands and athleticism, and could push Michael Jenkins for the slot role opposite starters Roddy White and Laurent Robinson as a rookie.
Craphonso Thorpe, WR, Saturday 6/21, 7:41 AM CT
The Giants have claimed wide receiver Craphonso Thorpe off waivers from the Jaguars, according to the AP.

Our View: Thorpe has little chance to make the Giants' final roster, in a crowded receiving corps that features Plaxico Burress, Amani Toomer, Steve Smith, Sinorice Moss, David Tyree, and rookie Mario Manningham.
Robert Henderson, DE, New York GiantsSaturday 6/21, 7:37 AM CT
The Giants have inked sixth-round defensive end Robert Henderson (Southern Miss), according to the AP. Terms of the deal were not dislosed.

Our View: Henderson has good size at 6-3 283 pounds, and possesses solid athleticism, but is a project and needs time to develop before he can contribute.
Devin Hester, WR, Chicago BearsSaturday 6/21, 7:31 AM CT
The team locked up defensive tackle Tommie Harris with a new deal, and now the Bears' top priority is to get an extension done for elite return man Devin Hester, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. GM Jerry Angelo said, "We certainly want to take care of Devin. He certainly deserves our attention. We've talked to his agent, and we'll just have to wait and see."

Our View: Hester is the most dangerous return man in the NFL and made the difference in countless close wins for the Bears. He is now going to be worked into the mix more as a receiver, and displayed promise in 2007 as he averaged 15.0 yards over 20 receptions, with two scores.
Eric Parker, WR, San Diego ChargersSaturday 6/21, 7:24 AM CT
Eric Parker is believed to be on the trading block, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. The Browns are said to be among the interested clubs, and the Chargers would like a draft pick in the final three rounds in exchange for Parker.

Our View: The team signed Mark Jones on Friday, who is a good punt and kick returner, hence making Parker expendable. Parker has no chance to push Chris Chambers or Vincent Jackson for a starting spot at receiver, and Buster Davis has a firm grasp on the slot role. The team also likes Legedu Naanee as their fourth option on the depth chart, meaning Parker would be best served to leave San Diego.
Ahmad Bradshaw, RB, New York GiantsSaturday 6/21, 7:17 AM CT
The NFL is investigating whether Ahmad Bradshaw violated the personal conduct policy, according to the NY Daily News. Bradshaw is in Virginia serving a 30-day jail sentence for violating terms of a probation stemming from an undisclosed juvenile offense, a violation that, several sources indicate, took place prior to his being drafted last year.

Our View: His family, friends, and lawyer, have said Bradshaw has not committed a new crime to violate the probation, but the NFL is keeping an eye on the situation.
Kenechi Udeze, DE, Minnesota VikingsSaturday 6/21, 7:10 AM CT
Kenechi Udeze will undergo a bone marrow transplant in early July, according to the Star Tribune. Udeze is battling an acute form of leukemia, and said, "Right now I'm doing pretty good. I'm actually getting tired of people asking me how I'm doing because I know I'm going to be all right, and I want everybody to start thinking the same way."

Our View: He will undergo the procedure with his older brother, Thomas Barnes, who is a 100 percent match. He will not play in 2008, but hopes to resume his career.
