Deuce McAllister, RB, New Orleans SaintsMonday 4/14, 7:31 PM CT
Deuce McAllister and the Saints agreed to terms on a restructured contract on Monday, NFL.com reports. The new contract will become official on Tuesday, when the running back was due a $1 million roster bonus.

Our View: McAllister is coming off a torn ACL in his right knee and could be questionable heading into training camp. The Saints missed his powerful style last year, though, and we imagine the club is hoping he can get up to speed by Week 1. His fantasy value will remain low until we see that he's healthy.
Bryan Robinson, DE, Arizona CardinalsMonday 4/14, 7:27 PM CT
Bryan Robinson signed his two-year deal with the Cardinals on Monday, the AP confirms.

Our View: Robinson is a backup defensive end, and he'll help the Cards address depth issues. Bertrand Berry and Chike Okeafor are both coming off serious arm injuries.
Michael Turner, RB, Atlanta FalconsMonday 4/14, 7:14 PM CT
Michael Turner was withheld from drills on Monday as he recovers from offseason shoulder surgery, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Our View: We're pretty sure the Falcons wouldn't have handed Turner $15 million guaranteed if his shoulder was a big concern. Thus, we're not worried.
Deuce McAllister, RB, New Orleans SaintsMonday 4/14, 7:09 PM CT
Deuce McAllister's status with the Saints is safe, at least for a few more months. A spokesman for the running back told the New Orleans Times-Picayune that McAllister will be with the club through at least training camp. McAllister is coming off a torn ACL in his right knee and is due a $1 million roster bonus on April 15.

Our View: We're pretty sure that bonus means McAllister won't be eligible for the government's economic stimulus payment. Joking aside, Deuce has come back from serious knee injuries before, and we've learned not to underestimate him. The Saints missed his between-the-tackles presence in 2007.
Cato June, LB, Tampa Bay BuccaneersMonday 4/14, 7:02 PM CT
The Circuit Court in Tampa has dismissed linebacker Cato June's DUI case, the Tampa Tribune reports. June was arrested in the early morning on November 19.

Our View: Hopefully June will hire a chauffeur when he celebrates on Monday night.
Pacman Jones, CB, Dallas CowboysMonday 4/14, 6:18 PM CT
According to Rototimes.com sources, the trade of Pacman Jones to the Cowboys is close to being completed, with the hold up being how the team will settle the grievance with Pacman over financial matters. Apparently, the team’s have agreed on a 3rd round pick being sent to Tennessee along with a conditional pick, believed to be a 5th rounder, if the Cowboys were to make it to the Superbowl. It also appears that Roger Goodell has given his blessing to the deal and has stated that he would re-instate Pacman as soon as Pacman and the team work out the issues over his grievance.

Our View: Pacman will apparently get his wish and be able to suit up for the Cowboys this season, though this will only happen once he and the Titans finally settle how to best pay money that he feels is owed to him. His talent is unquestioned on the field, but he certainly brings with him a massive amount of baggage.
Von Hutchins, CB, Atlanta FalconsMonday 4/14, 1:58 PM CT
Von Hutchins opened mini-camp as the starting left cornerback, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. He is filling the role vacated by DeAngelo Hall, who landed in Oakland.

Our View: Hutchins made 93 tackles and one interception with the Texans in 2007, and is worth tracking if he ultimately holds on to the starting role now and through training camp.
C.J. Brewer, WR, San Francisco 49ersMonday 4/14, 1:52 PM CT
C.J. Brewer has been waived by the 49ers, according to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat. He missed the 2007 season due to a torn ACL that he suffered in training camp.

Our View: He held no fantasy value prior to his release.
Lawrence Timmons, LB, Pittsburgh SteelersMonday 4/14, 11:53 AM CT
Lawrence Timmons is not expected to start for the Steelers this season, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Timmons is not expected to start this season, but will get plenty of playing time on the inside and outside at linebacker. LaMarr Woodley is believed to have the inside track on a starting spot on the outside, but all can change during training camp. Timmons didn't make much of an impact as a first round draft pick in 2007, but he will be given a fair chance to compete for a starting gig.

Our View: This will be an interesting position battle to follow through training camp in Pittsburgh.
Jake Long, OT, Miami DolphinsMonday 4/14, 11:45 AM CT
Jake Long reportedly has a deadline to sign a deal from the Dolphins, which would make him the first pick of the draft, according to SI.com.

Our View: Long would be a great pick at number one for Miami, as he would help strengthen a weak offensive line.
Pacman Jones, CB, Dallas CowboysMonday 4/14, 11:18 AM CT
One of Pacman Jones' agents believes that if he is going to be traded to Dallas, it would happen this week, according to the Tennessean. Agent Worrick Robinson stated, "I think for both teams, it is important. It will give them a chance to set their draft boards and make adjustments. But both sides are savvy business people and they both have experience in these matters, and they are moving at their own pace. They are not going to let the pace of this be dictated by anyone else. But the draft is going to influence everything." The two sides continue to talk about draft pick compensation for Jones, while also attempting to work through compromises related to signing bonus money already paid to Jones.

Our View: Jones would help solidify Dallas' secondary, as well as spark their return game.
Mike Vanderjagt, K, Monday 4/14, 11:09 AM CT
Free agent Mike Vanderjagt is reportedly on the Broncos' radar, according to the Denver Post. The team will bring him in for a workout, and he would compete with Matt Prater for the starting kicking job (if signed), left open by the departure of Jason Elam to Atlanta.

Our View: Vanderjagt would benefit from a fresh start in Denver, if signed, and he remains the most accurate field goal kicker in the history of the NFL as he made 86.5% of his attempts (230-of-266).
Antonio Gates, TE, San Diego ChargersMonday 4/14, 8:27 AM CT
Antonio Gates, who underwent foot surgery on his big toe, is expected to be ready to participate in training camp, according to the SD Union-Tribune. General Manager A.J. Smith said. "He is supposed to be ready (for camp). There is no question he is going to be fine. It's the timetable." Coach Turner also expects him to be ready.

Our View: He should remain the top fantasy stud at the position heading into the 2008 season, assuming all goes well in camp for him.
Darrell Jackson, WR, Denver BroncosMonday 4/14, 8:20 AM CT
Recently released receiver Darrell Jackson is reportedly on the Broncos' radar, according to the Denver Post. The team is in deep discussions with Jackson, who was released by San Francisco mainly to avoid paying $4 million in salary and bonus.

Our View: He failed to make an impact with the 49ers, but is a former number one receiver with a strong resume, and could benefit from a chance of scenery to Denver.
Samie Parker, WR, Carolina PanthersMonday 4/14, 8:16 AM CT
Free agent Samie Parker is reportedly close to inking a deal with the Broncos, according to the Denver Post. He and the team could finalize an agreement as early as today. Darrell Jackson is also on their radar.

Our View: Parker never panned out for the Chiefs, and a move to Denver won't likely raise his fantasy stock that much.
Laurent Robinson, WR, Atlanta FalconsMonday 4/14, 7:51 AM CT
Laurent Robinson is expected to push Joe Horn and Michael Jenkins for the starting role opposite Roddy White this season, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Our View: Robinson looked good at times in 2007, and ended the season with 37 grabs for 437 yards and one score. He has made a blip on the fantasy radar with this news.
Keith Brooking, LB, Atlanta FalconsMonday 4/14, 7:47 AM CT
Keith Brooking is yet to be cleared for mini-camp, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. He is still recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery, which he underwent in January.

Our View: Brooking is expected to man the middle linebacker position in Atlanta in 2008.
Brian Finneran, WR, Atlanta FalconsMonday 4/14, 7:43 AM CT
Brian Finneran has not been cleared to participate in mini-camp, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. He is still recovering from reconstructive surgery on his left knee.

Our View: The Falcons have an exciting young group of receivers led by Roddy White, and Finneran won't make much of an impact when he ultimately returns.
