While the Denver Post suggests that the Broncos front office will talk with free agent kickers Olindo Mare and John Carney, the team will give the first crack at replacing Jason Elam to Matt Prater, who was undrafted out of Central Florida in 2006. "Those are huge shoes to fill. I'll try not to compare myself to him," Prater said. "I'll have to keep that out of my mind. I don't think anybody can fill his shoes. But I'll be me and do the best I can." Prater wound up in the Miami Dolphins' training camp in 2007, before opening last season with the Falcons.
