David West, F, New Orleans HornetsSaturday 4/12, 11:43 PM CT
David West scored 30 points on 13-for-27 shooting and added 15 rebounds in a 94-91 loss to the Kings.

Our View: West will finish the year with the first 20 point-per-game scoring mark of his career and he will also finish with a career-high in the rebound category as his average boards per game has increased in each of his five NBA seasons.
Francisco Garcia, G, Sacramento KingsSaturday 4/12, 11:40 PM CT
Francisco Garcia had a big overall effort for the Kings on Saturday night off the bench as he scored 16 points, had five rebounds, three steals and three blocked shots.

Jarrett Jack, G, Indiana PacersSaturday 4/12, 11:37 PM CT
Jarrett Jack led the Blazers with 10 assists on Saturday as he also scored 19 points including one 3-pointer in their loss to the Mavericks.

Our View: Jack continues his strong play down the stretch and this was his first 10 assists game since way back on February 29th.
Dirk Nowitzki, F, Dallas MavericksSaturday 4/12, 11:34 PM CT
Dirk Nowitzki scored 28 points with four rebounds and four assists as the Mavericks barely defeated the Trailblazers 108-105. No other Mavs player had more than 16 points on the night.

Our View: Nowitzki got his wish and picked up a ton of court-time to stay fresh as the team marches toward the playoffs (he was in the game for over 40 minutes).
Allen Iverson, G, Detroit PistonsSaturday 4/12, 10:47 PM CT
Allen Iverson scored 28 points on 9-for-16 shooting, but he had only two rebounds, two assists and five turnovers as the Nuggets were killed by the Jazz 124-97.

Our View: Iverson continues to do his thing which consists of a lot of scoring with solid production in most categories, and though he turned the ball over too often tonight, he is averaging 3.0 turnovers per game this season which would be a career low total.
Mehmet Okur, F, Utah JazzSaturday 4/12, 10:43 PM CT
Mehmet Okur, Ronnie Brewer and Carlos Boozer each scored 20 points as the Jazz destroyed the Nuggets 124-97.

Devin Harris, G, New Jersey NetsSaturday 4/12, 10:38 PM CT
Devin Harris scored 13 points, had nine assists, four rebounds and six steals for the Nets.

Our View: Sure he turned the ball over five times, but that's OK given how involved he was all over the court on the night.
Vince Carter, G, New Jersey NetsSaturday 4/12, 10:36 PM CT
Vince Carter had 21 points and 10 assists on Saturday night for the Nets. Vinsanity also had four steals on the night.

Our View: Carter's 10 assists tonight will go a long way to allowing him to average five assists per game for the first time in his career (he entered the game with an average of 5.0 per game). He isn't as explosive as he once was, but that doesn't mean he still isn't a top flight producer.
Kirk Snyder, G, Minnesota TimberwolvesSaturday 4/12, 10:29 PM CT
Kirk Snyder scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Timberwolves on Saturday night. Also contributing was Al Jefferson who had 21 points and 10 boards in the victory over Memphis.

Gilbert Arenas, G, Washington WizardsSaturday 4/12, 8:26 PM CT
Gilbert Arenas scored 20 points in 25 minutes off the bench on Saturday night for the Wizards. He also had seven rebounds, five assists and two steals on the night.

Our View: This was just his 13th game this season, and he still lacks that elite quickness that sets him apart from others due to his knee injury.
Andre Iguodala, G, Philadelphia 76ersSaturday 4/12, 8:23 PM CT
Andre Iguodala scored a team-high 22 points in the Sixers 109-93 victory over the Wizards on Saturday. He also added six rebounds and seven assists while he hit four 3-pointers.

Andre Miller had another big game on Saturday night as he scored 16 points with five rebounds and 10 assists in the Sixers victory.

Caron Butler, F, Washington WizardsSaturday 4/12, 6:02 PM CT
Caron Butler will be on the sidelines on Saturday night because of an injured right knee, this according to the AP.

Our View: Butler has been in and out of the lineup in the second half of the year, and given that he was able to score only six points in his last game, it was obvious that he needed to shut her down for a while.
Josh Howard, G, Dallas MavericksSaturday 4/12, 5:00 PM CT
Josh Howard is dealing with a bruised knee and as a result he may not be able to suit up to play on Saturday, this according to the Star Telegram. Jerry Stackhouse will certainly miss the game as well.

Our View: Howard skipped practice on Friday to give him time to rest, and with little on the line until the playoffs, the smart money is on Howard sitting out tonight.

Ron Artest, F, Houston RocketsSaturday 4/12, 12:45 PM CT
Ron Artest is doubtful to play tonight, according to the Sacramento Bee. He continues to be slowed by his sprained left thumb.

Our View: John Salmons would be set to start at small forward if Artest ultimately cannot go.
Quinton Ross, F, Memphis GrizzliesSaturday 4/12, 10:01 AM CT
Quinton Ross is doubtful to play on Saturday due to the leg injury that he sustained during battle with the Lakers on Thursday, this according to the Contra Costa Times.

Kobe Bryant, G, Los Angeles LakersSaturday 4/12, 12:22 AM CT
In the Lakers' 104-107 win over the New Orleans Hornets, the West is one game closer to deciding their top seed and Kobe Bryant is one step closer to securing the league's MVP award. Kobe went 9-of-17 from the floor, 3-of-7 from three-point range, and 8-of-10 from the charity stripe to finish with a team-high 29 points, adding 10 rebounds for the double-double and eight assists to come up two shy of the triple-double. That's just the best in the game doing what he does.
Chris Paul, G, New Orleans HornetsSaturday 4/12, 12:21 AM CT
In a battle to help determine the top seed in the West as well as your NBA MVP for the season, the Hornets fell short of the Lakers and suffered the loss, 104-107, and Chris Paul managed to damage his standing in the race for personal glory. Paul shot just 4-of-13 from the field, 0-1 from three-point range, and 7-of-8 from the charity stripe to post 15 points, 17 assists, six rebounds, and four steals. It was a strong effort, but in a three-point loss, poor shooting might have cost the Hornets the game.
Pau Gasol, F, Los Angeles LakersSaturday 4/12, 12:20 AM CT
In a game that could mean the difference in playoff opponent and seeding, the Lakers must be happy to pick up the home win over the New Orleans Hornets, 104-107, and Pau Gasol did his part in getting the W on the books. Gasol shot 9-of-12 from the field and a perfect 7-of-7 from the free-throw line to close with 25 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots on the evening. Having Gasol back healthy means the world to this Laker team and makes them a prohibitive favorite to battle for the West and NBA Titles.
Peja Stojakovic, G, New Orleans HornetsSaturday 4/12, 12:18 AM CT

However, it was Odom's 16 total rebounds that got his team on track and moving in the hard-fought battle for the seed in the West.
