Cuttino Mobley, G, New York KnicksFriday 3/21, 11:34 PM CT
Cuttino Mobley came off the bench to score a game-high 24 points on Friday as he made 8 of 17 shots on the night and 6 of 6 from the line. Mobley can score, there is no doubt about that, but tonight he also added seven boards, double the 3.4 average that he entered the game with.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F, Portland TrailblazersFriday 3/21, 11:32 PM CT
LaMarcus Aldridge had a huge effort on Friday night as he scored 22 points, pulled 11 boards and dished out seven assists against the Clippers. Aldridge now has scored at least 20 points in eight straight games as he works on doubling his scoring average of his rookie season (9.0 points last year, 18.0 this year).
Steve Blake, G, Portland TrailblazersFriday 3/21, 11:30 PM CT
Steve Blake had a great night on Friday as he scored 15 points and dished off 11 assists in Portland's victory over the Clippers. Blake made three 3-pointer's on the night and only turned the ball over one time in 35 minutes of action. March has been Blake's best month as he entered the night averaging 10.7 points and 6.2 assists per game.
Kevin Martin, G, Sacramento KingsFriday 3/21, 10:15 PM CT
Kevin Martin scored 20 points on Friday night, but in very unorthodox fashion as he was just 2-for-12 from the field but 15-for-17 from the free throw line. Martin continues to find ways to score no matter what the situation, but on this night he had only two rebounds and just one assist while having three of his shots blocked.
Manu Ginobili, G, San Antonio SpursFriday 3/21, 10:13 PM CT
Manu Ginobili, continuing to come off the bench as the sixth man, scored only nine points while taking just five shots on Friday night. Manu also tossed in five assists on the night, but for a guy who is averaging 20 points a game, how is it that he was held to just five shots on Friday and only 13 the past two games?
Ron Artest, F, Houston RocketsFriday 3/21, 10:10 PM CT
Ron Artest played through knee and elbow injuries on Friday night to score 23 points, grab seven boards and dish out two assists for the Kings. Artest has now tallied at least 20 points in four of his last five games, the other game he netted 19, as he continues to suck it up and perform no matter what his physical limitations.
Brad Miller, C, Sacramento KingsFriday 3/21, 10:08 PM CT
Brad Miller played on Friday night despite a sore elbow, and judging from his line he might have been better off sitting this one out as he was just 1-for-8 from the field on his way to two points and six boards. Kudos to Miller for sucking it up and playing, but this certainly wasn't the type of night anyone was hoping for. Keep an eye on the medical reports to see if the team is going to shut him down for while or not.
Linas Kleiza, G, Denver NuggetsFriday 3/21, 10:05 PM CT
Backup Linas Kleiza scored 23 points as he made 9 of 11 shots and 5 of 7 from three-point land on Friday night. Kleiza has seen his scoring average drop to 8.2 and his shooting percentage fall to 43.9% over his last 15 games, so it was nice to see this big night in support of the big boys.
Allen Iverson, G, Detroit PistonsFriday 3/21, 10:02 PM CT
Allen Iverson led the Nuggets with 26 points and nine assists on Friday night in their 125-114 victory over the Nets. So much for the injured finger keeping Iverson from scoring as he has gone for at least 20 points in each of the past five games. Iverson will be heavily involved the rest of the way as the Nuggets scratch and claw their way toward the 8th spot in the West.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas, C, Cleveland CavaliersFriday 3/21, 9:58 PM CT
Zydrunas Ilgauskas continued his run of solid play of late with 16 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots on Friday night. Everyone knows the Cavs are all about LeBron, but it's important that they have an inside presence if they plan on doing any long-term damage. Illgauskas has now scored 16 or more in three of the past four games for the Cavs.
Chris Bosh, F, Toronto RaptorsFriday 3/21, 9:54 PM CT
Chris Bosh, in his second game back after missing 10 with a knee injury, scored 24 points and pulled down six boards in 37 minutes of action. Bosh is just about the only night-to-night performer that can be counted on with the Raptors as he is working on his third straight season of 22 or more points and fourth straight of at least 8.9 rebounds.
LeBron James, F, Cleveland CavaliersFriday 3/21, 9:52 PM CT
LeBron James scored 29 points, 23 in the first half, as he became the leading scorer in Cavs history in just his 5th season. James also pulled 12 rebounds and dished out five assists as he continues to methodically destroy all opponents in his way.
Jason Williams, G, Los Angeles ClippersFriday 3/21, 9:27 PM CT
Jason Williams played on Friday night despite a sore thumb and produced nine points and seven assists in just over 27 minutes worth of action. Since the All-Star game Williams has seen his numbers spike a bit to 10.7 points and 4.9 assists, but at this point of his career, and surrounded by a less than talented group of teammates, his upside is limited.
Antonio Daniels, G, Washington WizardsFriday 3/21, 9:24 PM CT
Antonio Daniels scored nine points, grabbed five boards and dished out seven assists on Friday night for the Wizards. Daniels, who is certainly not a top option at guard, continues to offer very consistent offensive production having averaged at least 8.9 points and 4.2 assists per game in each of the seasons past four months.
Caron Butler, F, Washington WizardsFriday 3/21, 9:22 PM CT
Caron Butler had his best game since returning to the lineup from an injured hip as he scored 25 points and handed out six assists for the Wizards. Butler was 9-for-12 from the field, including 3 of 6 on three's, as he managed to be mighty productive despite being selective with his shot. The Wizards will continue to lean on Butler, and as long as his body holds up he should be good for 20 points a night.
Wilson Chandler, G, New York KnicksFriday 3/21, 9:19 PM CT
Wilson Chandler started on Friday night and put up solid numbers scoring 17 points while grabbing seven rebounds in the Knicks loss to the Grizzlies. This was the second straight game that Chandler has gone for at least 15 points and seven boards as the 2007 first round draft picks is starting to assert himself on the offensive side of the ball.
Rudy Gay, G, Memphis GrizzliesFriday 3/21, 9:16 PM CT
Rudy Gay, who had failed to score in double-digits in two of the past four games, scored 24 points on Friday night for the Grizzlies. Unfortunately it was a pretty hollow outing in that he missed all four 3-pointers he took and he failed to dish out a single assist in over 34 minutes of action. Maybe you can take solace in the fact that he blocked two shots.
Mike Miller, G, Minnesota TimberwolvesFriday 3/21, 9:14 PM CT
Mike Miller scored 24 of his 34 points in the first half as the Grizzlies defeated the Knicks by 14 points on Friday night. Miller had an amazing night as he hit 12 of 16 shots from the field, including 7 of 11 from long range, while he tossed in seven boards and four assists for good measure.
Mike Dunleavy, G, Indiana PacersFriday 3/21, 8:55 PM CT
Mike Dunleavy scored 25 points, grabbed four boards, and dished out seven assists on Friday night for the Pacers. In 14 games since the all-star break, the perennial underachiever is averaging 22 points a game while shooting better than 47% from the field as it appears he has finally found his NBA "legs."
Troy Murphy, F, Indiana PacersFriday 3/21, 8:44 PM CT
Troy Murphy had one of his most productive outings of the year as he pulled down 15 boards while he scored 22 points for the Pacers on Friday. Murphy was only 6-for-16 from the field, so he wasn't very efficient, but this still marked his third consecutive double-double and 16th straight games of double digit points, not bad for a player who is averaging barely 12 points a game on the year.
Danny Granger, F, Indiana PacersFriday 3/21, 8:42 PM CT
Danny Granger, who missed the Pacers last game with an injured right wrist, returned to action on Friday night and led the Pacers to a 124-113 victory over the T'Wolves. Granger was all over the court scoring 32 points, including 6 of 8 from downtown, in a scintillating performance. Granger continues to be one of the most dynamic players who no one really expected anything from this year and he continues to put up numbers that rival much bigger names.
Hedo Turkoglu, G, Orlando MagicFriday 3/21, 8:38 PM CT
Hedo Turkoglu scored 16 points on Friday as he took only eight shots from the field in the Magic's victory. Though he played only 30 minutes on the night, Hedo still managed to dish out nine assists, and while he was on the court the Magic scored 35 more points than the Sixers.
Rashard Lewis, F, Orlando MagicFriday 3/21, 8:37 PM CT
Rashard Lewis scored 18 points to lead all five Magic starters who scored in double-digits in the club's 113-95 victory over the Sixers. As he does on most nights, Lewis just found his way into the openings and hit the shots that came to him, including two three pointers on this night.
Andre Miller, G, Philadelphia 76ersFriday 3/21, 8:35 PM CT
Andre Miller had his worst game since January 14th on Friday with nine points and five assists in the Sixers loss. Miller has been a great player this season averaging more than 17 points and almost seven assists a game, but this was not one of his finer moments as he failed to record double-digit points for only the second time in 30 games.
Brad Miller, C, Sacramento KingsFriday 3/21, 5:51 PM CT
Brad Miller will suit up on Friday despite a sore elbow and earlier reports that he would miss the game, this according to the Sacramento Bee. Ron Artest (knee/elbow) and Kenny Thomas (knee) should also be available to play versus the Spurs.
Beno Udrih, G, Sacramento KingsFriday 3/21, 5:48 PM CT
Beno Udrih will not suit up on Friday, this according to a report at the Sacramento Bee. Udrih will miss his second straight game with his lower back strain. Udrih had been hot of late averaging 17 points and six assists per game over the last eight, so this is a substantial loss for the Kings.
Gilbert Arenas, G, Washington WizardsFriday 3/21, 2:01 PM CT
Gilbert Arenas practiced Thursday, and although he won't play tonight, he could return to action next Tuesday, according to the Washington Post. He has been out since mid November while recovering from knee surgery. Arenas will likely be eased back into action, but he still needs to be started in fantasy leagues unless your roster is loaded.
Brad Miller, C, Sacramento KingsFriday 3/21, 1:55 PM CT
Brad Miller is questionable for tonight's game with inflammation in his elbow, according to the Sacramento Bee. He will wait until today's shootaround before determining if he can play.
Pau Gasol, F, Los Angeles LakersFriday 3/21, 1:53 PM CT
Coach Phil Jackson doesn't expect Pau Gasol to play for at least three more games, according to the LA Times. Gasol has missed the last three games with a sprained left ankle. "I'm not putting a timetable on this," Jackson said before Thursday's game. "I don't anticipate probably in these next four games that he will play, but if he does, so much the better." This means we shouldn't expect to see Gasol until at least next Wednesday. We'll update you on his progress.
Rajon Rondo, G, Boston CelticsFriday 3/21, 1:44 PM CT
Rajon Rondo was scoreless Thursday, but the important thing is that he was able to play 22 minutes despite a sore back. "It's just sore," he said in the Boston Herald. "I guess I just slept wrong last night. It's nothing major." Feel free to use Rondo if you normally would.
Daniel Gibson, G, Cleveland CavaliersFriday 3/21, 11:50 AM CT
Daniel Gibson continues to rehab his severely sprained left ankle and hopes to be back in the lineup next week, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. ''I'm shooting for next week with us just having one game that will be a great time for me to come back and then be able to rest as well,'' Gibson said. Gibson's minutes could be limited initially, but be ready to stick him back in your lineup once he's ready to go full-bore.
Ira Newble, F, Los Angeles LakersFriday 3/21, 11:47 AM CT
Ira Newble has signed on with the Lakers, choosing them over his former team, the Cavs, according to the Akron Beacon-Journal. Newble was traded to Seattle last month from Cleveland but was released shortly after. He won't have any fantasy value in La-La Land.
Carl Landry, F, Houston RocketsFriday 3/21, 11:44 AM CT
Carl Landry is expected to test his sore right knee at today's shoot-around and hopes to play tonight, according to the Houston Chronicle. "We'll go hard at shoot-around," Rockets athletic trainer Keith Jones said. "We'll see how he does. If he feels the way he does now, which is pretty good, we'll give it a go." Landry has missed the last seven games with the injury. Hopefully he'll be able to suit up tonight.
Chris Wilcox, F, Oklahoma City ThunderFriday 3/21, 11:13 AM CT
Chris Wilcox could sit out the rest of the season after re-injuring his right pinkie finger, according to the Seattle Times. "It's hard to stay away from the game you love," Wilcox said. "Our team is struggling right now. I'm a part of this. I want to help." The Sonics are obviously going nowhere, so it would make little sense to rush Wilcox back to the floor. We'll let you know what they decide.
Jason Williams, G, Los Angeles ClippersFriday 3/21, 11:10 AM CT
Jason Williams is questionable for tonight's game with a thumb injury, according to the Miami Herald. The point guard jammed the thumb on Tuesday and couldn't dribble Wednesday. Being able to dribble is pretty important, eh? Expect J-Will to sit out.
Shawn Marion, F, Miami HeatFriday 3/21, 11:08 AM CT
Shawn Marion is questionable for tonight's game because of a sore back, according to the Miami Herald. Marion returned to the lineup on Tuesday but apparently must have came back a little too soon.
Kirk Hinrich, G, Chicago BullsFriday 3/21, 11:05 AM CT
Kirk Hinrich sat out Thursday's game because of a sprained ankle, but he hopes to be back in the lineup on Saturday, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. ''I feel like I could go [now], but I just don't feel like I would be very effective,'' he said. It sounds like Hinrich will miss only one game. Have him ready to go tomorrow.
