Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersMonday 10/5, 1:38 PM CT
Manny Parra is set to have an "arthroscopic clean-up procedure on the AC joint in his pitching shoulder," according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Our View: Something had to be wrong with Parra in '09. He got routinely shelled en route to an ugly 11-11 record and 6.36 ERA in 27 starts. Hopefully this procedure will set him on the right track for 2010.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 10/1, 5:18 PM CT
Fittingly, Manny Parra got shelled in his final start of the season on Thursday. The erratic lefty walked five batters in just 2.2 innings, allowing five runs in the process, as Milwaukee got blown out 9-2 in Colorado.

Our View: The once promising future Parra had in store is now quite murky. Though still just 26 years old, it's hard to ignore an 11-11 record and 6.36 ERA. He will have a very short leash in the Brewers rotation in 2010.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 9/25, 11:23 PM CT
Manny Parra only allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits over seven innings in Friday's 8-4 win over the Phillies at Miller Park. He had one walk and fired eight strikeouts.

Our View: Parra pitched very well tonight, and now has a winning record at 11-10. He is in the zone right now, as he allowed two or less earned runs in each of his last three starts.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 9/22, 4:13 PM CT
According to Tom Haudricourt on Twitter, Manny Parra will start on Friday against the Phillies.

Our View: Parra missed two starts with neck spasms and it was thought that he wouldn't be able to make another one this season. There was no structural damage though and he will be good to go by Friday. He replaces Yovani Gallardo, who has been shut down for the rest of the season.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 9/16, 6:14 PM CT
An MRI on Manny Parra's achy neck revealed no structural damage on Wednesday, according to MLB.com.

Our View: The injury is believed to be muscular. Whether or not Parra and his 6.42 ERA are going to make another start this season is unknown at the moment.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 9/15, 6:23 PM CT
According to MLBlogs.com, Brewers starter Manny Parra will undergo an MRI on Wednesday to find out what is wrong with his chronically stiff neck.

Our View: If the MRI reveals anything about Parra's neck that seems troublesome or debilitating, he will likely be shut down for the season. The neck has been bothering him for some time, but what the problem actually is has been a mystery. His next start (Friday) is in serious jeopardy, and should he not make it Chris Narveson would likley get the call.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersMonday 9/14, 8:18 PM CT
Skipper Ken Macha stated that Manny Parra is "iffy" to make Friday's scheduled start against Arizona, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Our View: Parra was able to throw a pen session today, but did not report any progress in his recovery from a stiff neck. Chris Narveson would start in Parra's place if unable to go Friday.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersSaturday 9/12, 5:28 PM CT
Manny Parra has been scratched from his scheduled Sunday start with neck stiffness, according to Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Our View: Not a huge surprise, since Parra was forced to leave his start last week with neck spasms. Chris Narveson will take his place.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 9/8, 7:56 PM CT
Manny Parra was forced to leave the team's game against the Cardinals on Tuesday after just one inning with neck spasms, according to Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Our View: Too bad for the Brewers, as Parra, who has a 6.42 ERA this season, was 2-1 with a 2.42 in four starts against the Cardinals in 2009.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 9/3, 4:27 PM CT
Manny Parra evened his record at 10-10 on Thursday afternoon as the Brewers avoided a series sweep against the Cardinals by a score of 4-3. Parra went 6.1 innings and allowed two runs on five hits while walking three and striking out five.

Our View: Parra actually lowered his ERA fom 6.66 to 6.47 with today's outing, so those numbers probably speak for themsleves. Today's start was the exception rather than the rule, so don't even consider him as someone to take a gamble on down the stretch.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 8/28, 10:17 PM CT
Manny Parra was his usual ineffective self on Friday night, allowing six Pirate runs in six innings, but received eight runs of early support to "earn" his ninth win.

Our View: Parra's ERA now stands at a fittingly menacing 6.66. If that somehow doesn't dissuade you from "taking a flier" on him, perhaps his 1.87 WHIP will.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersSunday 8/23, 4:11 PM CT
Manny Parra was roughed up for eight runs (five earned) on eight hits over a mere 3.1 innings in Sunday's 8-3 loss at Washington. He had no walks and no strikeouts, and was tagged for three homers.

Our View: Parra was dealt his 10th loss of the season, and has allowed four or more earned runs in five of his last seven starts. He remains a disappointment among fantasy hurlers.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 8/18, 9:20 PM CT
Manny Parra fell to 8-9 after allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits and three walks over six innings in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Brewers.

Our View: Parra's ERA is near 6.00 for the month of August and the shaky left-hander just can't seem to put it together this season. He has registered consecutive quality starts only twice this season.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 8/13, 4:46 PM CT
Manny Parra picked up his eighth win on Thursday despite allowing 15 baserunners and six runs in just 5.2 innings of the Brewers 12-9 win over the Padres.

Our View: Maybe the worst performance from a winning pitcher all season. His ERA now rests at a dreadful 6.44 while his WHIP is an unsightly 1.84.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 8/4, 12:13 AM CT
Manny Parra gave up four earned runs on eight hits over eight innings in Monday's 6-5 win at Los Angeles. He had one walk and four strikeouts.

Our View: It was not a strong outing for Parra, but the Brewers scored enough runs for him to improve his record to 6-8. He has allowed four or more earned runs in each of his last three starts, and is only an option for deeper fantasy leagues.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 7/29, 10:17 PM CT
Manny Parra had a poor start on Wednesday night, allowing five runs while walking five batters in six innings, but still managed to "earn" his fifth win of the season, as the Brewers beat the Nationals 7-5 at home.

Our View: A win's a win we suppose, but Parra certainly didn't pitch well enough to deserve one on Wednesday. Since dominating the Cardinals on July 9, he's allowed 10 runs in 17 innings. Unless he is facing a very underwhelming lineup in a pitcher friendly park, he's not worth spot-starting.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 7/24, 11:01 PM CT
Manny Parra gave up four earned runs on 10 hits over five innings in Friday's 9-4 loss to the Braves at Miller Park. He had three walks and three strikeouts.

Our View: Parra did not pitch well, and should be happy he took a no-decision rather than a loss. He allowed one or less earned runs in each of his previous two starts, and is worth consideration in NL-only leagues for his next trip to the hill.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersSaturday 7/18, 11:16 PM CT
Manny Parra only surrendered one earned run on five hits over six innings in Saturday's 5-1 win at Cincinnati. He issued three walks with six strikeouts.

Our View: Parra snapped a six-game skid without earning a win, and improves to 4-8 for the season. He allowed one or less earned runs in each of his last two starts, and is worth a look for fantasy lineups while pitching well.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 7/9, 4:15 PM CT
Manny Parra only surrendered three hits over seven scoreless innings in Thursday's 5-1 loss to the Cardinals at Miller Park. He had one walk and racked up seven strikeouts.

Our View: Parra pitched great today, but unfortunately takes a no-decision due to poor run support from his teammates. This was an encouraging outing for Parra, as he held a terrible 16.68 ERA over three starts in June.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 7/8, 8:10 PM CT
Manny Parra is being called back up to the Brewers, and will start against the Cardinals on Thursday, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Our View: Parra went 1-2 with a 2.92 ERA in four starts at Triple-A Nashville. He has been dreadful in the big leagues this year, posting an ERA near 8.00 and a WHIP near 2.00, and he should not be considered for a spot start or roster position.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 6/17, 7:20 PM CT
Manny Parra worked six quality innings in his first Triple-A start, according to MLB.com. He gave up one earned run, while giving up four hits and four walks. He also struck out four.

Our View: This wasn't exactly a dynamite performance, but given his recent struggles, it shows some progress. He could possibly rejoin the rotation next week, but it seems to be wiser to let him in the minors until he can start to dominate hitter. After all, his problem was confidence, not mechanics.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 6/17, 12:57 PM CT
Manny Parra is on schedule to rejoin the Brewers rotation on June 27, which would be the next time the team needs a fifth starter according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Our View: Parra has been a disaster in 2009, racking up eight losses while posting a 7.52 ERA. The paper said it is no guarantee that Parra will be called upon to make the start and that the team may go with reliever Seth McClung instead.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersSaturday 6/13, 7:38 PM CT
Manny Parra was demoted to Triple-A Nashville by the Brewers after getting roughed up in today's loss to the White Sox, according to the Sports Network. Pitcher Chris Narveson was recalled from Nashville as the adjoining move.

Our View: Parra gave up five or more earned runs in four of his last five starts, and his demotion is not a surprise. The Brewers are yet to decide who will replace Parra in the rotation while he is working in the minors.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersSaturday 6/13, 6:09 PM CT
Manny Parra was lit up for six earned runs on six hits over a mere 1.2 innings in work in Saturday's 7-1 loss to the White Sox at Miller Park. He had three walks with no strikeouts.

Our View: Parra falls to 3-8, and his ERA climbs to 7.52. He has allowed five or more earned runs in four of his last five starts, and is not fit for fantasy duty right now.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 6/12, 8:02 PM CT
GM Doug Melvin is denying the rumors circulating that the Brewers intend to trade for a top starting pitcher, according to MLBblogs.com.

Our View: Melvin said the rumors are absolutely false. Jake Peavy and Tom Glavine were among the hurlers mentioned in rumors.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 6/3, 5:35 PM CT
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that manager Doug Melvin said that Manny Parra will not be sent to the minors despite a 6.75 ERA through 11 starts. He does have a minor league option left.

Our View: Parra has a solid 3.65 ERA at home this season, but he carries a 9.09 ERA on the road. For now, it seems he should remain a solid option on his home field, but keep him benched on the road.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 6/2, 9:27 PM CT
Manny Parra was lit up for 10 earned runs on 11 hits over a mere four innings of work in Tuesday's 10-1 loss at Florida. He had two walks with five strikeouts.

Our View: Parra continues to struggle as he lost his third straight start, and allowed 21 earned runs over the span. He is worth holding out of fantasy lineups until he gets on track.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 5/27, 3:22 PM CT
Manny Parra allowed three earned runs on seven hits over 6.2 innings in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Cardinals at Miller Park. He had five walks and six strikeouts.

Our View: Parra displayed poor control today, evidenced by his five free passes. He managed to win three starts in May, but suffered his sixth loss of the season today.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 5/22, 11:52 PM CT
Manny Parra lasted just 3.1 innings and took his fifth loss of the season in Friday's 11-3 loss to the Twins. He allowed eight hits, three walks, and eight earned runs while striking out only one hitter.

Our View: Parra looked as if he was turning the corner over the past few weeks, but the train went off the rails tonight. He is still walking too many hitters and has not shown he can get out of jams on a consistent basis.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersSaturday 5/2, 1:00 AM CT
Manny Parra pitched very well on Friday but did not factor into the decision in the Brewers' loss against the Diamondbacks. He went six innings and allowed one run on three hits while walking four and striking out eight.

Our View: The four walks is a bit high, but the eight strikeouts are impressive. Parra still hasn't managed to notch a win this season, but if he keeps pitching like this it won't be long until he does.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersSunday 4/26, 5:12 PM CT
Manny Parra lost his fourth consecutive game on Sunday as the Brewers fell to the Astros 3-2. He was serviceable though, allowing just one earned run on five hits and three walks over five innings.

Our View: Parra has been bad this season, but was alright on Sunday. He allowed too many base runners (eight), but worked his way out of jams. He did need 97 pitches to get through five innings though.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 4/14, 11:05 PM CT
Manny Parra allowed three runs on three hits and four walks over six innings on Tuesday. He was tagged with the loss as the Brewers fell 6-1 to the Reds.

Our View: This was definitely an upgrade from Parra's season debut, but he still wasn't especially sharp. The four walks are concerning and his four Ks aren't enough to make any fantasy waves.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 4/9, 10:10 PM CT
Manny Parra spent his season debut getting slapped around by the Giants on Thursday evening. He surrendered five runs and six hits in four and one-third innings before getting the hook.

Our View: Parra will never be a front-end of the rotation type guy. He's not nearly consistent enough and throws too many pitches to go deep into a large number of games. For example, in Thursday's loss, he needed 85 pitches (50 strikes) to barely escape four innings.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 3/25, 6:57 PM CT
Manny Parra was lit up for five runs on seven hits in 3.2 innings on Wednesday against the Dodgers. If you are looking for a positive, he did record six strikeouts in his outing.

Our View: Parra is a strikeout pitcher and can give you value in that category but will hurt you with his high walk and hit totals he registers.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersSaturday 3/14, 8:08 PM CT
Manny Parra went four innings, but gave up seven hits, a walk, a home run, and three earned runs in the Brewers 7-3 loss to the Dodgers on Saturday.

Our View: Parra had gone six innings without giving up a run prior to today's outing. He has a track record of recording a good amount of strikeouts, but home runs and walks water down his value.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 3/10, 12:19 AM CT
Manny Parra pitched really well for the Brewers on Monday, allowing just one hit and one walk through four scoreless innings while fanning three batters.

Our View: The Brewers are really going to need Parra to step up with the losses of pitchers Ben Sheets and C.C. Sabathia from their starting rotation.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 9/16, 6:10 PM CT
The first move of new manager Dave Sveum has been to remove Manny Parra from the rotation according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Dave Bush will take the turn in the rotation on Thursday, and Seth McClung will return to the rotation on Friday.

Our View: Parra was rocked for five earned runs over a mere 1.1 innings of work in his last start, Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Phillies.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersSaturday 9/13, 6:43 PM CT
Manny Parra was rocked for five earned runs over a mere 1.1 innings of work in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Phillies, with three walks and three strikeouts.

Our View: Parra has lost two straight starts, and is 1-3 over his last seven outings. He should remain a liability to the contending Brewers, as well as fantasy owners, over the closing weeks of the season.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 9/4, 8:52 PM CT
Manny Parra has already thrown 153.2 innings this season, and though that is already more than the 133 he threw last year, the team currently has no plans to set an innings pitched limit for him, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Our View: The team likes to limit pitchers to a growth rate of about 25 innings per season, but given that they are in the playoff hunt and that he hasn't showed any type of obvious signals that he is wearing down, the team plans to continue to run Parra out there every five days.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 9/4, 9:21 AM CT
Manny Parra has thrown 153.2 innings this season, about 20.2 more than the 133 he threw last year, but Brewers manager Ned Yost does not believe it is a reason why he has struggled in recent outings, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Our View: Parra's ERA has been going up month by month, and his control is waning. Though he used to be someone fantasy owners could count on, he is walking far too many people, and has not been the same pitcher since early in the year.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 9/2, 10:54 PM CT
Manny Parra did not throw well, going five innings and allowing five runs in the Brewers 6-5 extra inning loss to New York.

Our View: Parra had been great his last two outings, but was really hurt by a three-run home run he allowed to Carlos Beltran.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 8/20, 4:05 PM CT
Manny Parra picked up his tenth victory of the season, going five innings and allowing two runs on six hits in the Brewers 5-2 win over Houston.

Our View: Parra also walked four and only struck out two, so it was not his greatest performance. His August ERA is 5.04, and he has just a 1-2 record in the month.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 8/15, 11:53 AM CT
Manny Parra has lost three straight games and has a 5.00 ERA on the road. His home and road splits are significant, especially in the long ball department.

Our View: The left-hander is 0-3 with a 5.55 ERA in his last four starts. The Dodgers have a .763 OPS against left-handers compared to their puny .699 against righties.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersSunday 8/10, 5:48 PM CT
One start after being shoved by Prince Fielder, Brewers hurler Manny Parra threw a great game, going seven innings, surrendering six hits and one earned run while striking out nine in Milwaukee's 5-4 win over the Nationals.

Our View: Parra did not figure in the win, but he was still outstanding. He had hit a rough spot, but maybe this will signal a turnaround. His WHIP is a little high, but he is still a quality hurler for a fantasy squad.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersMonday 8/4, 8:58 PM CT
Manny Parra threw six innings and gave up six earned runs on four hits and four walks in Milwaukee's 6-3 loss to the Reds.

Our View: Parra's ERA rose to 4.18, the first time it has been over 4.00 since late June. Parra has not been successful in either of his last two outings, giving up 11 earned runs in 11.1 innings pitched. Tonight was the fifth time in 22 starts he has given up at least five earned runs.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 7/30, 10:49 PM CT
Manny Parra wasn't at his best on Wednesday as he allowed eight hits, four walks and five runs in 5.1 innings in his fourth loss of the year.

Our View: Parra has now lost two straight starts after winning his previous eight decisions. Parra continues to walk far too many batters with a 4.39 BB/9 mark, and until he reigns in that tendency, he will likely struggle from time to time.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 7/25, 10:42 PM CT
Manny Parra failed in his attempt to win his tenth game of the season, as he allowed three runs on eight hits in six innings against the Astros.

Our View: Parra did not pitch poorly, but his offense uncharacteristically failed to get him plentiful run support.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersSunday 7/20, 8:34 PM CT
Milwaukee LHP Manny Parra was on the mark today, helping his team to the 7-4 win over San Francisco. Parra pitched 7 2/3 innings, allowing just two runs (both earned) on seven hits with two walks and nine strikeout.

Our View: The win moves Parra to 9-2 on the season with an ERA of 3.68. After goingn 5-0 through five starts in June, Parra was without decision through three starts in July before this win, allowing just four combined earned runs over 13 total innings (one of those starts lasting just one inning).
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 7/3, 5:41 PM CT
Manny Parra was robbed of his ninth victory on Thursday afternoon. The rookie left-hander allowed three hits, walked three and struck out four in six scoreless innings. Unfortunately the Brewers bullpen turned a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the ninth into a 6-5 loss, and did it without recording an out.

Our View: Parra is now a fixture in mixed formats, and officially the Brewers No. 2 starter behind Ben Sheets. All of the pre-season hype on the Milwaukee southpaw has come to fruition.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersSaturday 6/28, 9:18 PM CT
Manny Parra allowed two hits in seven innings to win his sixth straight game. The left-hander walked four and struck out six helping the the Brewers beat Minnesota 5-1 on Saturday night.

Our View: Parra improved his 4.29 ERA to 3.95 in the winning effort.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersSaturday 6/28, 12:32 PM CT
The Brewers are set to match a strong arm with one of their own, sending RHP Manny Parra to the hill to do battle with the Twins, according to the Sports Network.

Our View: Parra is riding a five-game win streak and has his sights set on #6. However, Parra has not pitched well away from Miller Park, posting a mediocre 2-2 record in six starts with a worrisome 7.23 ERA.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersSunday 6/22, 6:45 PM CT
Manny Parra wasn't at his best on Sunday but it was good enough for him to pick up his fifth straight win for the Brewers. Parra allowed three runs and five hits, but it was the six walks that really jumped out in his pitching line.

Our View: Parra is having an amazing run of success given the fact that he has walked at least four batters in three of his five victories. With a 4.74 BB/9 mark on the year, Parra is certainly a boom or bust option from start to start despite the recent run of wins.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersSunday 6/22, 11:36 AM CT
The Brewers are hoping LHP Manny Parra can keep the good vibes going as he takes the mound against Baltimore in their interleague series finale today, according to the Sports Network.

Our View: Parra got off to a bit of a slow start, but he comes in riding a four-game win streak with an ERA of 2.49 over that span. Parra pitched seven shutout innings against the Blue Jays on Tuesday, striking out five and walking four in his first career interleague start. Today will be his first career start against the Orioles.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 6/17, 9:45 PM CT
Manny Parra recovered from a poor outing last week with a superb effort Tuesday, as the southpaw tossed seven shutout innings, allowing four hits and four walks while striking out five.

Our View: Parra can be inconsistent, but overall he's been terrific over the last month.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 6/11, 11:00 PM CT
Manny Parra was far from his best on Wednesday night as he allowed 10 hits and five runs in 5.1 innings, but he held on long enough to let his offense earn him his fifth win of the season.

Our View: Parra had allowed just two runs over his last two starts, to it was a bit disheartening to see him fall back so far tonight, though that's what happens when you allow three home runs.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 6/4, 4:30 PM CT
Manny Parra tied a career high with eight strikeouts in seven innings, retiring his final 14 batters and the Milwaukee Brewers routed the Arizona Diamondbacks 10-1 on Thursday.

Our View: Parra got hit hard in nearly every inning, but the line drives were all right at the Brewers well placed defense. A solid outing for Parra, his second straight, but his LD percentage in the contest was high.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 5/20, 9:46 PM CT
Milwaukee LHP Manny Parra took the Brewers to a 7-2 win versus Pittsburgh this evening, and though he failed to go deep in the outing, he was strong and led Milwaukee to the victory. Parra went 5 2/3 innings, failing to surrender a single run on four hits with just one walk and six strikeouts.

Our View: This is Parra's first win since April 5th, his first start of the season. It is also the first outing out of four pitched his month in which he failed to surrender a home run.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 5/14, 10:42 PM CT
It doesn't happen often, but tonight Milwaukee LHP Manny Parra was the force of reckoning both on the mound and at the plate this evening. Parra pitched 6 2/3 innings, giving up three runs (only one earned) on seven hits with two walks and four strikeouts, leaving with no decision.

Our View: Parra was also the top hitter on the evening, going 1-for-3 with two RBIs.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersSunday 4/27, 5:45 PM CT
Manny Parra worked 5.1 innings in Sunday's loss to the Fish, giving up two runs on six hits. He walked three and struck out three.

Our View: Parra was not the pitcher of record but his effort was an improvement on his 5.40 ERA and 1.80 WHIP coming into the game.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 4/17, 4:08 PM CT
Manny Parra had another uneven outing on Thursday as he allowed five hits and five walks in four innings on the hill. Parra wasn't involved in the decision and though he did manage to limit the damage to three runs in four innings.

Our View: Parra owns a 5.40 ERA through three starts, and he has now allowed 11 hits in his last eight innings over two starts.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 4/11, 9:44 PM CT
Manny Parra who dominated the Giants last time out picked up his first loss of the season on Friday as he allowed three runs in four innings for the Brewers. Parra struck out four Mets on the night, but he allowed six hits and a walk, far too many base runners for a four inning outing.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersSaturday 4/5, 7:18 PM CT
Manny Parra was brilliant for five innings on Saturday as he held the Giants without a hit before he eventually allowed three hits and two runs in 5.1 innings. In picking up his first major league victory, Parra stuck out seven batters, and even if the Giants batting order resembles a Triple-A lineup, you still have to be impressed by the way the youngster dominated on this day.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 3/26, 8:31 AM CT
Manny Parra has earned the fifth spot in the rotation to open the season. He could be booted back to the minors when Yovani Gallardo returns from knee surgery. "We have another tough decision to make in two weeks, once the season starts," manager Ned Yost tells the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "We're going to have to see who's pitching good during that period, then make another decision." Parra will start against the Giants on April 6.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersMonday 3/24, 8:36 PM CT
Manny Parra struggled mightily on Monday allowing five runs and five hits in three innings, this according to the AP. "Manny didn’t throw the ball good," Brewers manager Ned Yost said. "There’s not going to be a time, come a week from today, when there’s not going to be pressure. You’ve got to really evaluate the way he’s handling that." Parra has been the darling of the Brewers camp, but with two straight poor outings the team is going to consider all its options in the rotation though the injury to Chris Capuano might be just the opening Parra needs to make the team.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 3/5, 7:18 PM CT
Manny Parra earned the start for Milwaukee today and allowed just two singles with four strikeouts in three innings of scoreless work as the Brewers cruised to a 12-6 win over Texas in spring training today, according to the Associated Press. Parra is fighting for a spot in the stating rotation and today's performance shows he could be their man.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersSaturday 9/22, 12:37 AM CT
Manny Parra was activated from the 15-day DL on Friday. He had been sidelined with a left thumb injury. He'll likely be used in middle relief the rest of the way.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 8/31, 10:26 PM CT
Manny Parra was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Friday after sustaining a chip fracture in his left thumb Thursday night. Greg Aquino was recalled from Triple-A Nashville to take Parra's spot on the roster.

Our View: The injury will likely keep Parra out until at least mid-October, if not longer.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 8/31, 11:47 AM CT
Manager Ned Yost said before Thursday's game that he planned to keep Manny Parra in the rotation. However, his plans could change after Parra was forced to leave Thursday's outing after three innings with a bruised thumb that he suffered on a bunt attempt, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. We should know more about Parra's status after he's examined Friday.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 8/30, 9:52 PM CT
Manny Parra was knocked out of Thursday's game with a bruised thumb, according to the AP. We'll know more about the seriousness of the injury after he's examined further on Friday.
Manny Parra, P, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 8/29, 11:54 AM CT
