Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesWednesday 10/28, 3:27 PM CT
Ben Francisco will make the start in left field for the Phillies in Game 1 of the World Series. Francisco will hit seventh in the order while Raul Ibanez serves as the DH.

Our View: Francisco figures to see a few starts while the games are in New York, as the team would rather have his glove in the outfield instead of Ibanez. He will be hitting against former teammate Cliff Lee tonight, so he shouldn't be surprised by anything Lee has to offer.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesTuesday 8/11, 10:45 PM CT
Ben Francisco went just 1-for-5 on Tuesday, but made his one hit count, hitting the game winning homer in the 12th innings, as the Phillies won 4-3 at Wrigley Field.

Our View: It was his second home run as a member of the Phillies. Francisco, however, will continue to get very limited playing time in Philadelphia's star-studded outfield.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesFriday 8/7, 9:46 PM CT
Newest Phillie Ben Francisco went 1-for-4 with two RBI on Friday night, but those would be the only runs the Phils would get off Ricky Nolasco and the Marlins, as they lost 3-2 at home.

Our View: Francisco has played very sparingly for the Phillies so far, and figures to mostly pinch-hit.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesWednesday 7/29, 1:11 PM CT
According to FOXSports.com, Ben Francisco and Cliff Lee have been sent to the Phillies in exchange for pitchers Jason Knapp, Carlos Carrasco and prospects.

Our View: The Phillies needed another right-handed hitting outfielder, so it was nice that the Indians threw Francisco into the mix, but Cliff Lee is what they were truly after. With Philadelphia's three starting outfielders all making the All Star team this season, Francisco won't see much playing time.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesSunday 7/19, 3:44 PM CT
Ben Francisco hit his seventh home run of the season on Sunday, but Cleveland still lost 5-3 to the Mariners at home.

Our View: Francisco is a fringe option at best in AL-only formats, and not an option in any mixed formats.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesSaturday 7/4, 9:18 PM CT
Ben Francisco went 3-for-3 with a home run and 2 RBIs as the Indians beat Oakland 5-2 on the Fourth of July.

Our View: Francisco does not play enough, or produce enough when he does, to warrant serious fantasy consideration in any format.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesWednesday 5/27, 11:41 PM CT
Ben Francisco had a huge night for the Indians on Wednesday in their 12-7 win over the Rays. Francisco went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, two runs scored, and four RBI.

Our View: Francisco would be an excellent fantasy player if he could face Andy Sonnanstine every night, as he has absolutely torched the Rays pitcher over his career. Francisco is an astounding 8-for-9 with a double, five home runs, and 12 RBI in his career against the Rays starter. Since he doesn't face Sonnanstine every time out, his fantasy value is fairly nonexistent as he is not an everyday player.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesSunday 5/17, 5:26 PM CT
Ben Francisco went 2-for-3 with two home runs, four RBI, two runs scored, and a walk as the Indians fell to the Rays 7-5 on Sunday.

Our View: Francisco still finds himself hitting ninth, and he had not gone deep since April 28. He has started just two of the last five games, and may continue to lose more time to David Dellucci and Matt LaPorta.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesTuesday 5/5, 3:16 PM CT
Ben Francisco went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a steal in the loss to the Blue Jays Tuesday.

Our View: Francisco has been picking it up lately, hitting .333 with three steals over his last six games. With Matt LaPorta now around, he'll have to keep it up.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesSunday 4/12, 11:17 AM CT
Ben Francisco is not in the Indians' lineup for today's home game against Toronto, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View: Trevor Clowe will start in left field in his place. Francisco is 3-for-18 so far this season, with five strikeouts.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesWednesday 4/1, 7:19 PM CT
Ben Francisco was brilliant at the plate on Wednesday going 5-for-6 with a home run, four RBI and four runs scored. He's now hitting .364 this spring.

Our View: The Indians starting left fielder has shown some pop (15 homers and 32 doubles last season), and could be poised for a big year. If he gets a full season of at-bats in him he's a 20+ home run candidate.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesTuesday 8/26, 9:36 PM CT
The Indians put the 10-4 win on the field against the Tigers this evening, thanks in large part to outfielder Ben Francisco. Francisco went 3-for-5 with two homers on the night, totaling four RBIs and two runs scored.

Our View: Francisco has improved his average from .256 last month to .309 in August, but he has struggled to pick up the power hitting. Tonight's performance brings him to four homers on the month, matching his July total, doing the same in the RBI category with 11.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesMonday 8/11, 10:37 PM CT
Ben Francisco was the Indians best hitter on Monday night with two hits, three runs and three RBI. Other Indians with two RBI included Ryan Grako, Andy Gonzalez, Sal Fasano and Asdrubal Cabrera.

Our View: When a team scores 13 runs you expect some good numbers. Entering this night, Francisco had only three home runs and seven RBI in his last 21 games, so he could certainly use a big outing like this to boost his fantasy prospects.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesSunday 8/3, 9:30 PM CT
Ben Francisco had one hit, his 11th home run of the season for the Indians.

Our View: Francisco is on a pace that would net him roughly 20 home runs and 80 RBI over a full season, solid numbers but nothing special. The club should continue to give him at-bats however marking him as a useful play in AL-only scenarios.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesWednesday 7/30, 11:56 PM CT
Cleveland took it on the chin, suffering the heartbreaking 14-12 loss to the Detroit Tigers after 13 innings, though designated hitter Ben Francisco did what he could to reverse fortunes. Francisco went 4-for-7 at the dish, hitting two homers to total two RBIs and two runs scored.

Our View: Hitting just .227 for the month, Francisco matched his July homer total coming in with two swings of the bat. He now has 10 homers on the season.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesThursday 7/10, 9:09 PM CT
Ben Francisco had a career best four RBI on Thursday night as the Indians stopped a 10-game losing streak with a 13-2 victory over the Rays.

Our View: Francisco hit his eighth home run of the year on his way to three hits from the third hole in the order. Francisco has three home runs and seven RBI in his last nine games as he continues to do just enough to continue to pick up regular at-bats.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesSunday 6/15, 3:04 PM CT
Ben Francisco hit a three run home run off Greg Maddux in the third inning of Sunday's 7-3 win over the San Diego Padres.

Our View: The home run was Francisco's fourth in 150 at bats this season.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesThursday 6/12, 10:00 PM CT
Ben Francisco had a big day for the Indians hitting from the third slot in the order with four hits in five trips to the plate. He also knocked in three runs.

Our View: Francisco certainly isn't a number three hitter at this point of his career, but with injuries to Travis Hafner and Victor Martinez the team needs someone to step up in the heart of the order, and for a day at least, Francisco did just that.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesMonday 6/2, 11:05 PM CT
Ben Francisco went 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBI in Monday's win over the Rangers.

Our View: The rookie had cooled off a bit after tearing it up in mid-May. AL-only fantasy owners are already on board, and Francisco may deserve a look in larger mixed formats.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesSaturday 5/24, 8:57 PM CT
Ben Francisco continued his hot hitting Saturday, picking up a double and a three-run homer in the win over Texas.

Our View: Francisco is now hitting .365 with two homers and 11 RBI in just 19 games. Ride him now while he's hot, but expect him to come back to earth eventually.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesFriday 5/23, 11:37 PM CT
Ben Francisco received his 10th straight start and second straight start in the cleanup spot Friday and responded with two doubles, a single and two RBI. The outfielder's night could've been better, but umpire Damien Beal incorrectly ruled Francisco's drive in the sixth an RBI double instead of a three-run homer.

Our View: Francisco is now hitting .356 with a homer and eight RBI in 59 at-bats this year. He profiles as more of a fourth outfielder or platoon guy, so don't go overboard with your FAAB bid for him, but he could be a temporary fill-in.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesTuesday 5/20, 5:00 PM CT
Ben Francisco isn't receiving much face time in the major media outlets, but it appears he's taken over the starting outfield spot from Franklin Gutierrez. Granted, Francisco's small sample (41 at-bats) and major league peripherals have exceeded his minor league portfolio, but it's hard to ignore what he's done so far in Cleveland.

Our View: Francisco has six RBI, six runs scored, a stolen base, has struck out only seven times and is hitting .372 in his 41 at-bats.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesWednesday 5/7, 9:59 PM CT
Ben Francisco continued his solid start to the season with two more hits giving him a .357 average in 14 AB.

Our View: If Francisco keeps hitting like this he will certainly find himself in the lineup on a daily basis. His value would also receive a huge boost if he were to remain in the number two spot in the Indians order.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesTuesday 5/6, 11:44 AM CT
Ben Francisco has been called back up from Triple-A Buffalo, according to the AP. Jason Michaels was designated for assignment to open a roster spot for Francisco.

Our View: Francisco will share time with David Dellucci in left field. Francisco was 2-for-6 in his brief stint with Cleveland earlier in the season.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesMonday 5/5, 9:06 AM CT
Manager Eric Wedge said on Sunday that the team will do whatever it takes to get out of its offensive slump, and one move that is going to happen will take place tomorrow, when outfielder Ben Francisco gets called back up from Triple-A Buffalo, according to Indians Confidential. Francisco told a reporter that he is being recalled by the Indians for the second time this season. He was previously called up to fill a roster spot whem Jake Westbrook was placed on the DL.

Our View: Jason Michaels is the expected casualty to open a roster spot for Francisco. If recalled, he will share time with David Dellucci in left field. Francisco was 2-for-6 in his brief stint with Cleveland earlier in the season.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesSaturday 4/26, 11:31 AM CT
Ben Francisco has been sent down to Triple-A Buffalo, according to the AP. The team called up lefty Jeremy Sowers to make a start against the Yankees in place of the injured Jake Westbrook, and Francisco was seen as expendable to free up a roster spot.

Our View: He registered two hits over six brief at-bats with one RBI during his stint with Cleveland. He held no fantasy value.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesTuesday 4/22, 1:26 PM CT
Ben Francisco has been recalled from Triple-A Buffalo to take the roster spot of Jake Westbrook who was placed on the DL, according to MLB.com. He was batting 15-for-72 with seven runs scored, two doubles, one triple and three RBI in 18 games for the Bisons. Francisco appeared in 16 spring training games, and hit 17-for-47 with eight runs scored, three doubles, three homers and nine RBI.

Our View: The outfielder won't likely see much action while Westbrook is out, and holds little fantasy value, especially when you consider his unimpressive hitting totals.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesFriday 3/28, 9:04 AM CT
The Indians optioned Ben Francisco to Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Francisco had a great spring at the plate, hitting .362, but with a crowed outfield and limited room at the bottom of the 25-roster, he didn't have much hope of securing a spot with the Indians this spring.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesThursday 3/6, 9:33 AM CT
Ben Francisco is likely headed to Triple-A due to a stacked Cleveland outfield, according to the Beacon Journal. Ben had a solid 2007 campaign as he batted .274 with three home runs and 12 RBI over 62 at bats, but there frankly isn't a spot for him right now in a talented young outfield anchored by the elite Grady Sizemore.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesSunday 9/2, 8:15 AM CT
The Indians recalled Ben Francisco from Triple-A Buffalo before Saturday's game. He hit .273 with three homers in 44 at-bats earlier this season, but he hit .318 with 12 homers and 22 steals in 377 Triple-A at-bats.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesFriday 7/27, 4:05 PM CT
The Indians optioned Ben Francisco to Triple-A Buffalo Friday. The move was made to clear a roster spot for Kenny Lofton, who was acquired via trade from the Rangers. Francisco hit .273 with three homers and seven RBI in 44 at-bats with the Indians.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesTuesday 7/3, 8:57 AM CT
Ben Francisco got his third start in four games on Monday and came up big again. Three days after hitting a walk-off homer for his first major league hit, Francisco went 3-for-3 with a homer and three RBI during a win over the Devil Rays. "Once you contribute," Francisco told the team's official website, "you settle in and it starts to calm your nerves." Francisco was hitting .329 with six homers and 15 stolen bases at Triple-A before his call-up last week, and with David Dellucci out at least eight weeks he has a chance to earn regular playing time.
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesFriday 6/29, 10:21 PM CT
Ben Francisco had a memorable major league debut for the Indians on Friday. He recorded his first career hit in the fourth and then led off the ninth with a home run off Tampa Bay's Shawn Camp to give the Indians a 2-1 win. "It was an awesome day," Francisco told the AP. "I was just trying to get on base and I ended up doing something special."
Ben Francisco, LF, Philadelphia PhilliesThursday 6/21, 6:14 AM CT
Ben Francisco was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo Wednesday, taking David Dellucci's spot on the roster. Francisco, who was hitting .329 with six homers in the minors, is expected to be a reserve outfielder while he's with the big club.
