Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSunday 3/14, 6:33 PM CT
Matt Kemp went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer off Pedro Strop in today's 6-4 win over Texas in the Cactus League.

Our View: Kemp now has two homers and five RBI so far in spring training. Kemp collected 26 homers and 101 RBI in 2009, and the young outfielder is still improving. He should be a hot fantasy pick at the position for 2010.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSunday 2/7, 12:27 PM CT
The Dodgers' projected 2010 payroll, estimated to be somewhere in the low-$90 million range, will be lower than the Minnesota Twins', according to the Boston Globe.

Our View: Amazing. The Twins are projected to spend $96 million in 2010 after spending just $65 million in 2009. It's clear that the Frank McCourt divorce saga is crippling the Dodgers' ability to operate, and if you are a fan, you have to be hoping a resolution, like McCourt putting the team up for sale, is reached soon.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersFriday 1/15, 1:44 PM CT
Updating an earlier item, Matt Kemp's new two-year deal with the Dodgers is worth $10.95 million, according to Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times. He will be paid $4 million in 2010.

Our View: As long as Kemp continues to play well, this deal puts him in position to cash in huge during his final season of arbitration eligibility in 2012. Following the 2012 season, he has the potential to hit the open market for the first time at the age of 28.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersFriday 1/15, 11:21 AM CT
The Dodgers and outfielder Matt Kemp have agreed to a two-year contract, according to MLBlogs.com. The deal will cover two of his three arbitration eligible seasons. Financial terms have not yet been made available.

Our View: Kemp is coming off of a monster season that saw him hit .297 with 26 homers, 101 RBI and 34 stolen bases. He is a top-five fantasy outfielder.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersWednesday 1/13, 4:34 PM CT
The Dodgers and outfielder Matt Kemp are reportedly nearing an agreement to buy out the first two seasons of his arbitration eligibility, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Our View: The deal would make him eligible for arbitration just once, in 2012. He stood to make about $4 million in 2010 had the two sides gone to arbitration this winter. The 25-year-old is coming off of a huge 2009 season that saw him bat .297 with 26 home runs, 101 RBI and 34 stolen bases.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersThursday 12/31, 6:15 PM CT
The Dodgers are reportedly discussing a new long-term deal with Matt Kemp, according to the Hot Stove Blog on MLB.com.

Our View: Kemp's agent noted that the outfielder may only want a one-year deal though. Kemp is one of the top young stars in the bigs, and the Dodgers would be wise to lock him up with a multi-year deal if they can.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersMonday 10/19, 11:21 PM CT
Matt Kemp launched a deep home run to center field in the fifth inning on Monday, but the Dodgers still managed to lose in the ninth to the Phillies. Kemp was 1-for-4 in the game with two runs scored and an RBI.

Our View: Kemp's homer was a bomb, but the Dodgers still fell to the Phillies on a Jimmy Rollins walk-off double. If LA is going to mount a comeback in this NLCS, Kemp is just one of the players that will need to hit the ball.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersThursday 10/1, 12:11 AM CT
Matt Kemp's first inning single would be the only hit the Dodgers would get on Wednesday night, as the Padres dominated L.A. for a 4-0 win at home.

Our View: It figures that Kemp would be the Dodger to record the team's lone hit. The 25-year-old outfielder has done it all this season, batting .301 with 26 home runs, 100 RBI and 34 stolen bases.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersThursday 9/24, 10:11 PM CT
Matt Kemp finished a double short of the cycle on Thursday as the Dodgers beat the Nationals 7-6. Kemp went 3-for-5 with a homer, a triple, two runs scored, and three RBI.

Our View: Kemo continues his strong 2009 campaign, and he has established himself as one of the better fantasy outfielders in the game. He can do it all, and he now has 100 RBI on the season.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersWednesday 9/16, 5:14 PM CT
Matt Kemp hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the sixth inning on Wednesday, as the Dodgers beat the Pirates 3-1 at home.

Our View: He hit the homer batting cleanup, just the 17th time he had done so all season. With Kemp now sporting 94 RBI on the season, expect to see him batting there a lot more in 2010.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersWednesday 9/2, 7:11 PM CT
MLBlogs.com reports that Matt Kemp is hitting cleanup in Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Our View: Kemp has hit all over the Dodgers lineup this season (including eighth), but finds himself in the power spot on Wednesday. It likely has to do with the fact that Kemp has homered in four straight games and is tearing the cover off the ball right now.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersWednesday 9/2, 12:32 AM CT
Matt Kemp went 2-for-3 with a solo homer, stolen base and pair of runs scored in Tuesday's 4-3 win over Arizona.

Our View: Matt Kemp kept his hot hitting alive with Tuesday's game. He's now homered in four straight games and has driven in seven over that span. He's also hit over .300 in all but one month this season (May).
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSunday 8/30, 4:23 PM CT
Matt Kemp went 1-for-4 with a homer and two RBI in the Dodgers 3-2, 12-inning win over the Reds.

Our View: Kemp now has eight homers and 26 RBI in August and is making a case for player of the month. He's scored 21 runs, stolen six bases and racked up 67 total bases to go with an average above .300.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSaturday 8/29, 6:43 PM CT
Matt Kemp went 2-for-5 with a three-run bomb on Saturday, helping the Dodgers paste the Reds 11-4 in Cincinnati.

Our View: Kemp now has 83 RBI on the season, and is rolling toward his first 100 RBI campaign.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersThursday 8/27, 5:44 PM CT
Hitting out of the two hole on Thursday, Matt Kemp went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI, helping the Dodgers beat the Rockies 3-2, and regain a four-game lead in the NL West.

Our View: Kemp has driven in 80 runs this year batting primarily at the bottom of the Dodgers lineup. With 28 games remaining, he is a decent bet to post his first 100-RBI campaign this season.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSaturday 8/22, 6:31 PM CT
Matt Kemp led the way for the Dodgers on Saturday as LA blanked the Cubs by a score of 2-0. Kemp went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in the game.

Our View: Kemp gave the Dodgers all the offense they would need with his second inning home run, and he remains an excellent fantasy play. He can hit for average and power, he drives in runs, and he steals bases. Kemp is one of the most well-rounded fantasy players in the league at this point.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSaturday 8/22, 12:53 AM CT
Matt Kemp was the only player for either team to register a multi-hit game on Friday. He went 2-for-4 in the 2-1 win over the Cubs.

Our View: Kemp is now hitting .312 on the season and has already registered four homers, three steals and 17 RBI this month. He's a nice fantasy balance of average, power and speed.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersTuesday 8/18, 8:42 PM CT
MLB.com reports that Matt Kemp is not in the starting lineup for the Dodgers on Tuesday night due to a mild case of the flu.

Our View: Juan Pierre replaces Kemp in the lineup and will hit second. Kemp has a light fever and it is unknown when he will be up to snuff. Consider him day-to-day for now and adjust your lineups accordingly.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersFriday 8/14, 11:46 PM CT
Matt Kemp drove in the Dodgers' only lone run on Friday, as Los Angeles got shutdown by Dan Haren and the Diamondbacks 4-1 in Arizona.

Our View: Kemp has 17 RBI this month, and has been L.A.'s most consistent run-producer. Expect him to keep it up.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSunday 8/2, 11:24 PM CT
Matt Kemp exploded for a 3-for-5, five RBI night on Sunday in the Dodgers' 9-1 win over the Braves. He also ripped his 14th homer of the season.

Our View: Kemp spent some time hitting eighth in the lineup, but hit in the fifth spot on Sunday and responded brilliantly. The five RBI tied a season-high total, which he has matched three times. He now has nine ribbies in his last five games.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersThursday 7/30, 10:58 PM CT
Matt Kemp led the Dodgers in tonight's 5-3 win at St. Louis, as he went 3-for-5 with three RBI. All three of his knocks were singles, and he also swiped a base.

Our View: Kemp is riding a five-game hitting streak, and raised his team-leading batting average to .316. The rising star continues to perform well for fantasy owners.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSunday 7/19, 7:44 PM CT
Matt Kemp continued his hot start to the second half on Sunday in the Dodgers' 4-3 win over the Astros. Kemp went 3-for-3 with a home run, four runs scored, and an RBI in the win.

Our View: Kemp's average is now up to .321 on the season, and he looks to be well on his way to surpass a 20 homer, 20 steal season. He has 12 long balls and 19 steals so far, and he is a stat sheet filler for all fantasy owners. Kemp is not disappointing on the immense promise he has shown thus far in his career.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSunday 7/19, 8:57 AM CT
Matt Kemp went 1-for-4 with two RBI on Saturday as Clayton Kershaw silenced the Astros 5-2 in L.A.

Our View: Kemp is now batting .315 on the season. He has performed well in the second halves of seasons so far in his young career, so you can expect more big things going forward.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersFriday 7/10, 10:55 PM CT
Matt Kemp carried the Dodgers offensively in tonight's 12-8 win at Milwaukee, as he went 3-for-5 with four RBI. He hit a single, double and a grand slam off Carlos Villanueva.

Our View: Kemp ended a nine-game skid without a homer, and has 11 for the season. He extended his hitting streak to seven games as well, with nine RBI over the span.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSunday 6/28, 8:01 PM CT
Matt Kemp launched his tenth home run of the season on Sunday, but it wasn't enough as the Dodgers fell to the Mariners by a score of 4-2. Kemp was 1-for-4 on the day with the solo shot.

Our View: Kemp may not be tearing the league up, but he is having more than just an average season. He is hitting a very solid .311, and he has 18 steals to go along with his ten homers. He is still a very strong play in all leagues, as he puts up numbers in all categories.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersThursday 6/25, 5:46 PM CT
Matt Kemp had perhaps the worst game of his season on Thursday in the Dodger's 6-5 extra inning loss to the White Sox. He was 0-for-6 with four strikeouts, stranding six runners.

Our View: Kemp is now one for his last 13 with eight strikeouts. He has had a few mini slumps this season, but has tended to snap out of them quickly. He is safe to keep starting and a top flight outfield option.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersWednesday 6/24, 10:57 PM CT
Matt Kemp was productive in tonight's 10-7 loss at the White Sox, as he went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer off reliever Jimmy Gobble.

Our View: Kemp is hitting .333 with three homers and 10 RBI so far this month, and he snapped a five-game skid without an RBI.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSaturday 6/13, 11:26 PM CT
Matt Kemp carried the Dodgers offensively in Saturday's 3-1 win at Texas, as he went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer. His other hit was a single.

Our View: Kemp hit his second homer over his last four games, and now has eight for the season. He raised his season average to .309 tonight as well.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersWednesday 6/10, 1:14 AM CT
Matt Kemp went 3-for-3 with two RBI in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Padres at Dodger Stadium. He hit a single and a solo homer.

Our View: Kemp raised his season average to .314, and has a hit in 12 of his last 13 games. He ended a seven-game slump without a homer as well.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSunday 5/31, 11:28 PM CT
Matt Kemp went 2-for-4 with a walk, his sixth home run and his 12th stolen base batting from the No. 6 spot in the Dodgers' lineup.

Our View: Kemp continues to be a fantasy stud despite being shuffled around Los Angeles' lineup, often between Nos. 6 and 8. It doesn't look like he'll meet the 40-40 prediction that he made for himself prior to the season, but fantasy owners will still be more than pleased if he can approach 20 home runs and 35 steals while batting around .300.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSaturday 5/30, 7:32 PM CT
Matt Kemp went 2-for-3 in Saturday's 7-0 loss at Chicago. Both of his knocks were singles.

Our View: The Dodgers only had five hits in the game. Kemp has a four-game hitting streak, but no homers and only one RBI over the span.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersMonday 5/25, 7:30 PM CT
Matt Kemp was 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs scored, and a walk as the Dodgers defeated the Rockies 16-6 on Monday.

Our View: Kemp had gone nine games without an RBI. He seems to have busted out of his mini-slump over the weekend. He is 8-for-18 in his last four games.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersWednesday 5/20, 7:32 PM CT
Matt Kemp is not in the Dodgers' lineup on Wednesday, according to MLBlogs.com. He will be replaced by Xavier Paul in center field in the game.

Our View: Just a day off for Kemp, so nothing to worry about here. Paul hasn't played much since coming up, so the team wants to get him some at-bats. Kemp should be back in the lineup for the Dodgers' next game, but get him out tonight if you can.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersThursday 5/14, 4:16 PM CT
Matt Kemp was 3-for-5 with a double, a triple, an RBI, and a run scored on Thursday as the Dodgers downed the Phillies 5-3 in ten innings.

Our View: Kemp continues to produce for fantasy owners, and he is expected to continue to do so all season. He has four triples on the year to go along with eight stolen bases, and expect his home run numbers to continue to climb.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersFriday 5/8, 1:00 AM CT
Matt Kemp went 3-for-5 with a grand slam on Thursday in the Dodgers' 11-9 loss to the Nationals. Kemp had five RBI to go along with his three hits.

Our View: This was supposed to be a breakout year for Kemp, ad he hasn't disappointed so far. Although he only has 4 home runs, he has 22 RBI and seven stolen bases. Expect him to continue to drive in runs and steal some bases along the way, and with Manny gone for the next 50 games he should move up in the order.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSunday 4/19, 7:19 PM CT
Matt Kemp went 3-for-5 with two home runs, a double, five RBI, and three runs scored in Sunday's 14-2 win over the Rockies.

Our View: Kemp has 14 RBI through 13 games and it doesn't seem as if his low spot (7th) in the batting order has had any effect on his production. He is off to a red hot start, and there are few outfielders in the league producing at this level. He has the ability to be an all-star for several seasons if he can stay healthy.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersThursday 4/9, 7:15 PM CT
Matt Kemp was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI on Thursday as the Dodgers gave up three runs in the eighth in a 4-3 loss to San Diego.

Our View: Kemp has produced right off the bat while manning the seventh hole in the Dodgers' lineup. He has six hits in 15 at-bats this season and is hitting .400.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersMonday 4/6, 9:15 PM CT
Matt Kemp was 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk, and a strikeout while hitting seventh in Monday's 4-1 win over the Padres. He went deep off of Jake Peavy in the seventh inning.

Our View: Kemp has an intriguing combination of power in speed, but his production figures to be hindered somewhat by his low spot in the batting order. Regardless, he figures to be in line to be an excellent fantasy producer in 2009.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersMonday 3/23, 7:54 PM CT
Matt Kemp drove in a pair of runs Monday in a 10-4 loss to the Angels. He finished the game 1-for-4.

Our View: There are rumblings out there that the 24-year-old Kemp may be headed for a breakout season, but that depends on your definition of "breakout." Kemp's home run total jumped by eight last season, but that's primarily because he played in 57 more games in '08 than he did in '07. Regardless, even if his numbers hold steady in '09, the talented Kemp is a solid lock to produce in NL-only leagues and could mature into a difference-maker in mixed leagues.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSunday 3/22, 11:40 PM CT
Matt Kemp went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 11-4 win over Texas. He started in center field and hit sixth in the lineup.

Our View: There has been some speculation the Kemp will hit seventh in the Dodgers order once Manny returns to the lineup. Such a move would figure to hinder his fantasy value some. The 24-year-old has exceptional potential, but he needs to figure out righties and soon. He hit only .260/.309/.416 off of them a season ago.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSunday 3/1, 11:44 PM CT
Matt Kemp went 1-for-3 on Sunday with a run and a stolen base. It was already his second swiped bag of the spring.

Our View: Kemp's speed is a big part of his appeal. He stole 35 bases last year and could improve on that as he now has more major league experience.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSaturday 2/28, 9:47 PM CT
Matt Kemp had a decent game for the Dodgers on Saturday, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Our View: Kemp will see plenty of playing time in 2009, especially if the Dodgers somehow don't bring back Manny Ramirez. He can be counted for a decent average, around 20 home runs and possibly 100 RBI in 2009 if he continues to progress.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersMonday 10/13, 4:52 PM CT
Matt Kemp is out of the Dodgers lineup for Game 4 of the NLCS, according to the L.A. Daily News. Juan Pierre is in center field in his stead.

Our View: Kemp is 3-for-11 for the NLCS, and is just 2-for-8 against Phillies' starter Joe Blanton. Pierre has no career at-bats against him.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSunday 9/21, 7:51 AM CT
Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp hit a three-run home run on Saturday, which was his first since August 30, and second in more than a month, according to Dodgers.com.

Our View: Kemp has been a very solid performer for fantasy owners despite his struggles in September. He has 17 homers, 73 RBI and 34 stolen bases on the season.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersTuesday 9/16, 5:45 PM CT
Juan Pierre will get the start again on Tuesday night but Joe Torre has said that Matt Kemp will be his regular in centerfield and will start the next two games according to the Daily News.

Our View: Kemp is just 9-for-43 in September and should benefit from these days off. Expect him to finish out September strong.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersThursday 8/14, 11:43 PM CT
Matt Kemp went 1-for-4 with a home run to help lead his Dodgers squad to a 3-1 win over the Philadelphia Phillies.

Our View: Kemp has turned it on lately, and in his last five games is 10-for-22, an average of .455. He is clearly a great fantasy asset.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersWednesday 7/30, 11:47 PM CT
Matt Kemp upped his hitting streak to 17 games on Wednesday night as he also stole two bases to give him 26 on the year.

Our View: Kemp has been a marvel this year because of the speed on the bases, though he was also thrown out by about 15 feet on a play at the plate as he continues to run without much concern for what's happening around him.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSunday 7/27, 8:59 PM CT
Matt Kemp had a pair of singles in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Nationals to extend his hitting streak to 14 games.

Our View: Kemp is hitting .293 with 22 steals, 57 RBI and 54 runs. He has just 12 home runs and 110 strikeouts to just 31 walks. If he could develop a better eye and add some power, he will live up to his high expectations. Until then, he is a slightly above average fantasy option in the outfield.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersWednesday 7/23, 5:44 PM CT
Matt Kemp extended his hitting streak to 13-games on Wednesday with two hits in four trips to the plate.

Our View: Kemp hit leadoff on Wednesday and is now batting .316 in 79 AB out of that spot filling in for the injured Rafael Furcal and Juan Pierre.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSunday 7/13, 6:47 PM CT
Matt Kemp went 3-for-4 with a walk in his return to the leadoff after hitting seventh in the lineup on Saturday.

Our View: Nomar Garciaparra hit at the top of the order on Saturday. Kemp has the speed and the OBP to leadoff, and his lack of power numbers this season (nine home runs coming into Sunday's game) has led the coaches to put him in the leadoff spot in place of the injured Juan Pierre.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersFriday 7/11, 1:13 AM CT
Matt Kemp, batting lead off and playing centerfield, knocked in his 48th run of the season in addition to stealing his 20th base on Thursday night.

Our View: Kemp's total of 20 steals is fantastic, but his .280 batting average and eight home runs are a bit below most people's expectations, though it would be completely unfair to label his season thus far as disappointing.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersWednesday 7/9, 11:28 PM CT
The Dodgers and Braves battled through a pitcher's duel this evening, but in the end it was the bat of Matt Kemp that pushed LA to the 2-1 win. Kemp went 2-for-4 with the game-tying, 2-out home run in the sixth.

Our View: Kemp has been a reasonable source of power, hitting four homers with 14 RBIs through June. This is his first dinger this month making his .235 batting average a little more concerning.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSaturday 7/5, 11:20 PM CT
Matt Kemp, hitting leadoff for the Dodgers, went 2-for-4 with a run scored for the Dodgers. He was also caught stealing for the fifth time this season.

Our View: Kemp has been doing a solid job this season at the plate while adding a ton of value with his legs (18 SB). With Juan Pierre out of action for a while, Kemp will run out there every day to continue his development. He could stand to work on cutting down the strikeouts since he has 91 in just 303 AB on the year.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSaturday 7/5, 9:29 AM CT
The Dodgers will be looking to acquire a shortstop before the July 31 trading deadline, and general manager Ned Colletti may be willing to discuss some of the team's formerly "untouchable" players. "We're more open-minded to what we may have to move than we have been in the past," Colletti informs the Los Angeles Daily News. That list could include outfielder Matt Kemp.

Our View: This report feels like a lot of speculation, but it's not a stretch to think the Dodgers would be willing to move a notable piece in order to shore up their holes. The NL West is wide open.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersThursday 6/19, 3:08 PM CT
Matt Kemp went 2-for-5 and led the Dodgers with three RBI in Thursday's 7-4 win over the Reds. He hit a double and a homer, his sixth of the season.

Our View: Kemp now has 13 RBI so far in June, and raised his season average to .293.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSaturday 6/14, 9:33 AM CT
Matt Kemp will be back in the lineup on Saturday after wrapping up his two-game suspension on Friday, the Los Angeles Times notes.

Our View: Consider this your reminder. Kemp owners probably already knew this.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersThursday 6/12, 12:51 PM CT
Matt Kemp's suspension for his altercation with the Rockies has been reduced to two games, according to the LA Daily News.

Our View: It has been reduced from the original four games, and he will begin serving the suspension today.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersWednesday 6/11, 9:25 AM CT
The Dodgers have previously resisted trading young stud Matt Kemp, but FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the team may now be more willing to make the move. Rosenthal speculates that the Pirates' Jason Bay, the Tigers' Magglio Ordonez and the Rockies' Matt Holliday could possibly be targets for the Dodgers.

Our View: We're still skeptical that the Dodgers would deal Kemp, but that could certainly change if a guy like Holliday becomes available.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSaturday 6/7, 6:53 PM CT
Matt Kemp went deep for the fifth time this season on Friday on his way to three RBI for the Dodgers.

Our View: Kemp continues to impress with the Dodgers with his .307 average, but his BABIP is extremely high which could signal a bit of a down turn in the average when things normalize, so keep that in mind moving forward.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersThursday 6/5, 11:56 AM CT
Matt Kemp has been suspended for four games due to his involvement in Tuesday's scuffle with the Rockies, according to the AP. He has also been fined an undisclosed financial amount.

Our View: Unless appealed, Kemp’s suspension is scheduled to begin later Thursday when the Dodgers open a four-game series with the Cubs.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersMonday 6/2, 11:44 PM CT
Matt Kemp went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and three runs in Monday's win over the Rockies. It was his second straight three-hit game.

Our View: Kemp hadn't gone deep since May 5, and we hope he doesn't wait so long before bashing another one. That's the only negative in the outfielder's fantasy game right now.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSunday 6/1, 10:40 PM CT
Matt Kemp had three hits and drove in the only run for Los Angeles in Sunday's 6-1 loss to the Mets. All three hits were singles.

Our View: The Dodgers are 3-22 when scoring three runs or fewer, and have been held to one run or less in six of their past 10 games. Part of this is due to the team overall lack of power. Kemp, a highly touted preseason fantasy option is now the starting center fielder, but he hasn't shown the power stroke that most believed he would. After 186 at-bats, Kemp has only three home runs.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersMonday 5/26, 8:13 PM CT
Matt Kemp went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run scored in Monday's loss to the Cubs. Kemp, who has become the everyday right-fielder for the Dodgers, is on pace to record over 500 at-bats this year.

Our View: Kemp has 28 RBI, 23 runs scored with three home runs and 10 stolen bases while hitting .309.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersFriday 5/23, 8:33 AM CT
Matt Kemp continues to see time in center field and is improving. "Matty's getting his feel," manager Joe Torre explains to the Los Angeles Times. "He's got great instincts. With his quickness, he makes up for a first step that may be wrong. I think he'll only get better at it reading the ball off the bat." Kemp did play center when he first entered the majors.

Our View: Andruw Jones' knee injury has opened up some time for Kemp, and it's interesting that they chose the youngster to handle center over Juan Pierre. The spot could turn more permanent if Jones needs surgery.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersTuesday 5/20, 12:43 AM CT
Matt Kemp went 4-for-4 on Monday night against the Reds and is now hitting a cool .320 on the year.

Our View: Over 593 career AB, Kemp is batting .313-20-91-97-25 which would be one hell of an all-around season, one that would place him amongst the top-25 hitters in the fantasy game.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersSaturday 5/17, 2:49 PM CT
Matt Kemp will ride the pine when the Dodgers battle the Angels today, according to the LA Daily News. Juan Pierre bats leadoff and starts in left field, Andruw Jones roams center field, and Andre Ethier covers right field today.

Our View: Kemp is hitting .302 over 39 games, with three homers and 26 RBI. He also has nine stolen bases and 20 runs scored. He has provided solid value as an outfielder this season, namely in deeper leagues, and was due for a day off.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersWednesday 5/7, 5:37 PM CT
Matt Kemp went 1-for-4 with an RBI to extend his hitting streak to 12-games on Wednesday.

Our View: Kemp seems entrenched in the middle of the Dodgers lineup, a position he likely should have held from opening day forward. While the .330 likely isn't sustainable, Kemp figures to be a 5x5 force for the rest of the season.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersMonday 5/5, 7:35 PM CT
Matt Kemp appears to have finally earned everyday playing time for the Dodgers. The Dodgers outfielder has been in the starting lineup for every game the last two weeks (since April 20). He is 20-55 with eight extra base hits and six stolen bases in that span.

Our View: The talented right hander is still striking out too much (17 times in the last 14 games), but his .324 average disguises his inadequacies nicely.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersMonday 5/5, 2:43 PM CT
Matt Kemp has been named the NL Player of the Week, according to the AP. Kemp batted .407 (11-for-27) in six games this past week, while racking up league highs of 11 RBI and six stolen bases. He also had four doubles and scored seven runs.

Our View: Kemp is hitting .324 overall, with two homers, 22 RBI, seven stolen bases, and 18 runs scored over 29 games. This was Kemp's first weekly honor, and his fantasy stock remains on the rise.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersWednesday 4/30, 10:19 PM CT
Matt Kemp had a big night on Wednesday has he stole two bases, had two hits, scored three times and knocked in three runs against the Marlins.

Our View: Kemp is now batting .318 on the year which just so happens to be exactly double the batting average of center fielder Andruw Jones (.159). Is there really any question at the moment that the team's starting outfield should be Juan Pierre, Andre Ethier and Kemp?
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersMonday 4/14, 9:12 PM CT
Matt Kemp is back in the starting lineup on Monday night against the Pirates. He hadn't been penciled in since April 9, a span of three games.

Our View: The Dodgers logjam continues. Fantasy owners have to be patient with Kemp, who has the skills to produce excellent numbers if the Dodgers play him every day.
Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersFriday 4/11, 7:06 PM CT
Matt Kemp will not be in the staring lineup for the Dodgers on Friday night as the Dodgers will go with an outfield of Juan Pierre, Andruw Jones and Andre Ethier, this according to the Los Angeles Daily News. And so it continues. It really serves no purpose to have Kemp on the bench, but the Dodgers have painted themselves into this corner by signing Jones and holding on to Pierre. Of course, Kemp hasn't exactly played well this season with only one RBI and nine K in eight games.

Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersTuesday 4/8, 2:55 PM CT
Matt Kemp is expected to return to the starting lineup on Tuesday, according to MLB.com. Manager Torre said he didn't want to bring back the slumping Kemp against veteran right-hander Dan Haren on Monday, and added, "You try to pick your spots to get them going and Haren is tough on right-handers. It's tough enough for veteran to work out of slumps. Young guys, they have a problem being patient. In Matt's case, I don't know him as well as I'm going to, but he seems very anxious. I base the decision on what I know and what I think I know. He's overswinging, jumping at the ball instead of letting the ball come to you. I talked to him today and told him he'd play tomorrow. He's going to get plenty of playing time. I told him to be patient with me. I think he understands. I'm not saying he agrees. He says he feels pretty good at the plate and I don't see that." Kemp holds a dismal .176 average over 17 at-bats, and will be looking to bounce back against D-Backs' starting pitcher Doug Davis.

Matt Kemp, CF, Los Angeles DodgersThursday 2/28, 8:21 PM CT
Matt Kemp went 2-for-3 on Thursday as he continues to impress with the stick. Kemp figures to be in a battle for a full-time role in the Dodgers OF at the start of the season with Andre Ethier and Juan Pierre. The most likely scenario will see Pierre starting in LF Andruw Jones in CF and Kemp in RF, but the team will use spring training to help to figure it all out. For his part Kemp hit .342-10-42 in 292 AB last year and he was one of the best hitters in the NL late in the year as he hit .389 in September.

Kemp, who went 2-for-4 on Tuesday, is hitting .403 with three homers, 13 RBI and three steals in 72 at-bats this year.
