Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsTuesday 1/19, 7:26 PM CT
According to the Orange County Register, the Angels and Reggie Willits have avoided arbitration by agreeing on a one-year contract.

Our View: Willits hit just .213 with six RBI and five steals in 80 at-bats last season, so don't expect much in 2010. He'll likely be used as a pinch runner or defensive replacement in late-inning situations.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsTuesday 9/29, 1:17 PM CT
Reggie Willits is a strong candidate for the Angels' postseason roster, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Our View: Willits is batting just .217 in 43 games this season, but is considered a clutch player by the organization. Sometimes, perception is better than reality.

Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsSunday 8/16, 11:37 AM CT
Reggie Willits has been optioned by the Angels, according to The Sports Network. The newly activated Torii Hunter will take Willits' spot on the roster.

Our View: Willits struggled with the Angels in his time up, as he hit only .206 in 34 games with the team. He can't utilize his speed if he doesn't get on base, so his fantasy value will be low unless be proves he can produce at the dish.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsSunday 7/5, 4:24 PM CT
Reggie Willits has been recalled by the Angels from Triple-A Salt Lake, according to TSN. Pitcher Sean O'Sullivan was sent down as the adjoining move.

Our View: Willits has some speed but no power, and is only worth a look for deeper AL-only leagues as a reserve outfielder with the Angels.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsMonday 5/25, 8:21 PM CT
Reggie Willits was optioned to Triple-A on Monday to make room on the roster for Vladimir Guerrero, according to the AP.

Our View: Willits was merely a pinch-hitter for the Angels over the past three weeks. He went 2-for-9 in his brief stint with the big league club.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsWednesday 5/6, 10:57 AM CT
Reggie Willits has been recalled by the Angels from Triple-A Salt Lake, according to the Orange County Register. Brandon Wood was optioned to Salt Lake as the adjoining move.

Our View: The Angels could use depth in their banged-up outfield, but Willits still is not expected to see enough at-bats to be fantasy-worthy.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsWednesday 4/15, 11:02 AM CT
According to USA Today, the Angels have optioned Reggie Willits to Triple-A Salt Lake. He will be replaced by RHP Rafael Rodriguez, who was called up.

Our View: Willits was only up for a few days, so he had little or no fantasy impact in that time. If he comes back up he could still steal some bases when he gets on the field.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsSaturday 4/11, 9:18 AM CT
The Angels recalled Reggie Willits from Triple-A Salt Lake Saturday, according to the LA Times. Willits has the unfortunate task of replacing the deceased Nick Adenhart on the roster.

Our View: Willits doesn't figure to get much playing time, but he could help out a bit in deep AL-only leagues with some steals.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsThursday 3/12, 2:25 PM CT
Reggie Willits has been scratched from today's lineup against the Rockies due to a sinus infection, according to the Orange County Register.

Our View: Terry Evans replaced him as the starting right fielder. Willits has some speed but no power, and his fantasy value looks to be limited as a reserve outfielder.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsSaturday 2/28, 7:51 PM CT
Reggie Willits went 0-for-2 with a walk on Saturday in a 5-3 loss to the Brewers.

Our View: Willits has potential due to his speed, but needs to hit better to stay in the lineup. He stole 27 bases in 2007 but just two in 2008.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsThursday 2/26, 6:11 PM CT
Reggie Willits went 1-for-3 Thursday as the Angels scored two runs in the fourth and one more in the seventh to beat the A's 3-1.

Our View: Willits needs a solid spring to set the tone for a season during which he will look to redeem himself for a lackluster 2008 season.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsThursday 2/5, 2:21 PM CT
Reggie Willits is set to rebound after hitting .194 over 108 at-bats last season, according to MLB.com. He said, "Last season was frustrating, very frustrating. It was not easy to go through a year like this."

Our View: Willits intends to re-establish himself as a valuable asset for the Angels again as he hit .293 in 2007 with a .391 OBP over 430 at-bats, but his fantasy value will remain limited as a reserve outfielder. He has no power as well, and is still yet to register his first homer in the majors.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsTuesday 8/26, 8:48 AM CT
Reggie Willits is set to be activated from the DL for tonight's game against Oakland, according to the LA Times. He has been recovering from a mild concussion.

Our View: Willits should continue to be ignored as a fantasy outfielder upon his return. He holds a disappointing .185 average over 65 at-bats, with no homers.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsSunday 8/24, 8:47 PM CT
Reggie Willits was eligible to be activated from the disabled list on Sunday, but the Angels chose not to, instead calling up a pitcher from Triple-A as their bullpen has become overworked, according to the Orange County Register.

Our View: Willits will be back by no later than Wednesday in all likelihood. He has been a disappointment this season after providing fantasy owners a spark in 2007.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsFriday 8/22, 8:48 AM CT
Reggie Willits, who is on the DL while recovering from a mild concussion, could rejoin the Angels Sunday when he is first eligible, according to the LA Times. He went 1-for-3 Wednesday in the first game of a rehab assignment with Class-A Rancho Cucamonga

Our View: He previously wasn't expected back until September. He should remain ignored as a fantasy outfielder, however. He holds a .185 average over 65 at-bats.

Reggie Willits could start a rehab assignment Wednesday or Thursday at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, according to the AP. Willits is working his way back from a concussion.

Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsSunday 8/17, 9:09 AM CT
Reggie Willits, who is recovering from a mild concussion, will begin taking batting practice Sunday, according to the LA Times.

Our View: He has responded well to workouts, and should be ready to play by the end of next week. Fantasy owners should not be waiting for him however, as he is only hitting .185 over 65 at-bats.

Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsWednesday 6/18, 8:01 PM CT
Reggie Willits is hitting second and starting in left field for regular Garrett Anderson.

Our View: Anderson is getting the night off with left-handed Oliver Perez starting for the Mets. He should be available to pinch hit if needed.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsMonday 5/26, 9:37 AM CT
A decision is expected to be made either today or Tuesday as to whether outfielder Reggie Willits will be placed on the DL due to his finger ailment, according to the LA Times. Willits said, "I'm going to take a day off to see if I can get the swelling out of the joint. It's a little sore. My biggest concern is it's on one of my throwing fingers."

Our View: Willits provides the Angels with speed and versatility as a switch-hitter but he held little value to fantasy teams, as he is only hitting .269 with no homers or stolen bases over limited playing time (26 at-bats).
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsSunday 5/25, 8:29 AM CT
Reggie Willits needed to receive stitches on his right middle finger after he was spiked on Saturday while trying to break up a double play as a pinch-runner in the eighth inning against the White Sox in Chicago, according to MLB.com. Manager Mike Scioscia said X-rays would be taken and Willits would be evaluated on Sunday. Sciosca added, "There's a possibility he'll go on the DL. We'll know more when we see how it responds."

Our View: Willits provides the Angels with speed and versatility as a switch-hitter but he held little value to fantasy teams, as he is only hitting .269 with no homers or stolen bases over limited playing time (26 at-bats).
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsSaturday 5/3, 5:52 PM CT
Reggie Willits performed well while handling the DH role in Saturday's 3-1 win over Baltimore, as he went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Our View: The Angels just recalled Willits from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday. This was a strong outing for him, but his playing time should remain limited.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsFriday 5/2, 9:51 AM CT
The Angels recalled Reggie Willits from Triple-A Salt Lake Friday. Willits had a double in his lone at-bat this year with the Halos. He hit .378 in 37 at-bats with Salt Lake.

Our View: Willits received just one at-bat in five games with the Halos earlier this year and doesn't figure to see much playing time this time around, either.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsWednesday 4/16, 3:45 PM CT
As expected, Reggie Willits has been sent down to Triple-A Salt Lake, according to the AP. He was sent down to get more at-bats, as he only registered one plate appearance with the Angels this season.

Our View: He held no fantasy value in the early going while confined to the bench, and he will benefit from the playing time in Triple-A.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsWednesday 4/16, 8:52 AM CT
Reggie Willits could be headed to Triple-A, according to the LA Times. He is getting very little playing time with the Angels (only one plate appearance), and the team would send him down to get in some at-bats. The move would also allow them to call up an infielder for depth while Howie Kendrick is out.

Our View: He is useless as a fantasy prospect right now, and some at-bats in Triple-A would help him.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsFriday 4/11, 2:32 PM CT
Reggie Willits has some at-bats coming, according to MLB.com. Manager Sciosca stated, "I wanted to get our regular guys into the flow of the season, but Rivera and Willits are going to have to play shortly so they can stay fresh enough to contribute. We'll look closely at next week." Willits notably generated a two run double in his only at-bat of this season so far.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsThursday 2/14, 7:43 PM CT
Reggie Willits underwent January surgery for the removal of a gallbladder, reports the team's official website. "I feel 100 times better since I had my surgery," Willits said on Thursday. The speedy outfielder might feel better physically, but he can't feel good about the team's signing of Torii Hunter during the offseason. The team is loaded with talent in the outfield; along with Willits and Hunter the team also rosters Vlad Guerrero, Garret Anderson, Juan Rivera and Gary Matthews Jr. With this group of outfielders Willits will have a tough time buying at-bats.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsThursday 11/22, 1:43 PM CT
Reggie Willits could be out of a big-league job now with the signing of Torii Hunter, according to the Los Angeles Times. He hit .293 with 74 runs and 27 steals in 136 games with the Halos in 2007, but the team now has six legitimate outfielders, and someone will have to go.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsTuesday 9/11, 11:52 PM CT

Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsSunday 7/1, 7:17 AM CT
Reggie Willits was out of the mix for the second straight game Saturday. He suffered a bruised right knee and sore shoulder while trying to make a catch on Thursday, according to the LA Times. The joint was still sore and swollen Saturday, and the Angels are off Monday, so Willits probably will rest until Tuesday.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsThursday 6/28, 4:48 AM CT
Reggie Willits left Wednesday's game in the seventh inning after suffering a bruised right knee making a catch, the Los Angeles Times reports. We'll see what he's able to do after Thursday's off-day, though the Angels will likely recall a minor league outfielder for depth anyway.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsTuesday 6/12, 9:07 PM CT
Angels manager Mike Scioscia dropped Reggie Willits from the leadoff spot to eighth in the order on Tuesday, according to the AP. "Reggie's been pressing a little bit," Scioscia said. Willits, who batted leadoff in his last 21 games, was in an 0-for-7 slump.

Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsFriday 5/25, 9:23 AM CT
Reggie Willits did not play on Thursday due to tightness in his right hamstring and a sore right knee. "Hopefully it's not going to be something that will be chronic," manager Mike Scioscia told the LA Times. The Angels are hoping that Willits will be ready to return either tonight or tomorrow, although nothing is set in stone.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsFriday 5/18, 10:08 AM CT
Reggie Willits has been doing a great job filling in for the injured Garret Anderson in left field, and there are indications that Willits will remain in a starting role even after Anderson returns. "It's been one good at-bat after another for Reggie," manager Mike Scioscia told the LA Times. "He's doing a terrific job of making pitchers work, getting on base and scoring runs. He adds a nice situational look to our lineup. He's been right in the middle of everything." In 93 at-bats this year, Willits is hitting .366 with eight steals.
Reggie Willits, LF, Los Angeles AngelsMonday 8/14, 7:03 AM CT
