Luke Scott went 1-for-4 with a single and an RBI in tonight's 3-1 loss at Tampa Bay.

Our View: The Orioles had nine hits in the game, but Scott was their lone source of scoring. Scott has a hit in five straight games, and collected his 77th RBI of 2009.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSaturday 9/26, 10:30 PM CT
Luke Scott went 3-for-5 with a homer and three RBI in a 9-8 loss to the Indians on Saturday night.

Our View: Scott now has 25 jacks on the season and has popped five in the final month to go along with 15 RBI. However, his .259 average needs work.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSunday 9/20, 4:30 PM CT
Luke Scott went 1-for-3 with a home run, a run scored, and two RBI in the Orioles' 9-3 loss to the Red Sox. Scott has 24 home runs on the season.

Our View: Scott couldn't do it all by himself today, but he continued his surprising 2009 campaign with another home run. Scott has been a solid fantasy play all season, and he should continue to be so for the next few weeks.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesFriday 9/18, 9:11 PM CT
Luke Scott went 1-for-4 with a solo homer off Clay Buchholz in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Red Sox at Camden Yards.

Our View: The Orioles only had five hits in the game, and Scott was their lone source of scoring. He collected his 23rd homer, tying his season-high set in 2008.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesTuesday 9/15, 9:18 PM CT
Luke Scott went 2-for-4 with two RBI in tonight's 10-5 win over the Rays at Camden Yards. He hit a double and a solo homer off Brian Shouse.

Our View: Scott ended an eight-game drought without a homer, but still leads the Orioles with 22. He needs one more homer to tie his season-best mark of 23, set in 2008 in his first year in Baltimore.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesTuesday 9/1, 10:16 PM CT
Luke Scott was productive in tonight's 9-6 loss to the Yankees at Camden Yards, as he went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer off A.J. Burnett.

Our View: Scott ended a 15-game drought without a homer, and still leads the Orioles with 21. He needs two more homers to tie his season-high of 23, set in 2008.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesFriday 8/14, 5:12 PM CT
Luke Scott has been scratched from tonight's lineup against the Angels due to flu-like symptoms, according to MASN Sports.

Our View: He is taking antibiotics and should return to the diamond soon. Nolan Reimold will serve in the DH role, with Felix Pie roaming in left field.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesMonday 8/10, 10:13 PM CT
Luke Scott went 1-for-4 with a solo homer off Jeff Gray in tonight's 9-1 loss to the Athletics at Camden Yards.

Our View: Scott snapped an 18-game drought without a homer, and is tied with Adam Jones for the team lead with 19.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesMonday 8/3, 8:55 PM CT
Luke Scott was productive in tonight's 6-5 loss at Detroit, as he went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI.

Our View: Scott has a five-game hitting streak, and snapped a 10-game drought without any RBI tonight. He is hitting better after struggling through July with a dismal .213 batting average.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSaturday 7/11, 9:52 PM CT
Luke Scott went 1-for-5 with a solo homer off Ricky Romero in tonight's 4-3 win over the Jays at Camden Yards.

Our View: Scott hit his fourth homer of July, and leads the Orioles with 18. He extended his hitting streak to 11 games tonight as well.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesFriday 7/10, 9:10 PM CT
Luke Scott went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles in tonight's 2-0 loss to Toronto at Camden Yards.

Our View: The Orioles only generated five hits in the game, and stranded 12 men on base. The club struggled, but Scott managed to extend his hitting streak to 10 games.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesWednesday 7/8, 12:14 AM CT
Luke Scott had a huge night Tuesday, going 3-for-4 with seven RBIs as the Orioles pounded the Mariners 12-4 in Seattle.

Our View: Scott had been slumping of late, but is still a great option at second or third outfielder in most formats, and should be owned in every league.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesThursday 7/2, 11:33 PM CT
Luke Scott went 1-for-4 with a solo homer off John Lackey in tonight's 5-2 loss at the Angels.

Our View: Scott hit a home run in back-to-back games, and leads the Orioles with 16. He should remain a solid source for power in fantasy leagues.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesWednesday 7/1, 5:06 PM CT
Luke Scott homered for the first time since June 11 on Wednesday, but the Orioles fell 6-5 in 11 innings to the Red Sox.

Our View: Scott was gaining steam toward becoming a viable outfield fantasy option early last month, but has driven in just five runs in his last 15 games. He is at best a fringe option in deeper mixed and AL-only leagues.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesThursday 6/11, 10:28 PM CT
Luke Scott went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer off Garrett Olson in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Mariners at Camden Yards.

Our View: Scott ended a four-game skid without an RBI, and notched his team-leading 14th homer. Keep him active in fantasy leagues, namely as a source for power.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesFriday 6/5, 11:42 PM CT
Luke Scott was productive in Friday's 9-1 loss at Oakland, as he went 1-for-3 with a solo homer.

Our View: Scott has hit a homer in back-to-back games, and leads the Orioles with 13. He also collected an RBI in three straight games, and should remain active in fantasy lineups while he is hot.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesThursday 6/4, 12:01 AM CT
Luke Scott stayed hot on Wednesday even though the Orioles fell 3-2 to the Mariners. He finished 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, and both Oriole RBI.

Our View: Scott was recently named AL Player of the Week, as he hit six home runs and drove in 14 runs in a five game stretch. If he's available, he's probably worth the risk. He is hitting .323 with 12 home runs on the season.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesMonday 6/1, 3:50 PM CT
Luke Scott has been named the American League player of the week for the week ending May 31. In five games, Scott belted six home runs, drove in 14 and batted .444 with eight hits in 18 at-bats.

Our View: Scott probably won't have many more weeks in 2009 like he did last week, but he is worth a flier if you're in need of outfield depth.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesFriday 5/29, 9:30 PM CT
Luke Scott smacked two homers on Friday night. He crushed a grand slam and a solo shot off of Dontrelle Willis and ended up 3-for-3 on the day in the Orioles' 7-2 win.

Our View: Scott now has four homers in his last two games and has been raking the ball since coming off the DL. The last two days he is 5-for-7 with the four homers and nine RBI. He looks to be blossoming into a decent fantasy outfield option. Hopefully you had him in the last two games.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesThursday 5/28, 9:16 PM CT
Luke Scott had a huge night on Thursday for the Orioles as they beat the Tigers 5-1. Scott went 2-for-4 with two home runs, two runs scored, and four RBI.

Our View: Scott has come off the DL and pounded the ball, and he now has three homers and seven RBI in his last two games. You shouldn't expect this kind of production to continue, but Scott is starting to look like a decent fantasy option.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesWednesday 5/27, 4:56 PM CT
Luke Scott had a huge day at the plate on Wednesday as the Orioles beat the Blue Jays 12-10 in 11 innings. Scott went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored, and three RBI.

Our View: Nice day for Scott in his return to the lineup today, as he was activated before the start of the game from the DL. Scott is hitting .311 on the year, and should be owned in all AL-only leagues and could be worth a look in deep mixed leagues.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesWednesday 5/27, 11:06 AM CT
Luke Scott has been activated from the 15-day DL following his recovery from a strained left shoulder, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Our View: Scott should resume his role as the Orioles' DH. He was hitting .303 with five homers and 15 RBI over 29 games before going down, and should be fine to pencil back into lineups in AL-only and deeper mixed leagues.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSaturday 5/23, 11:10 AM CT
Luke Scott did not swing a bat Friday while nursing his strained left shoulder, but he is expected to hit today, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Our View: If he can hit without any issues, he could be sent on a short rehab assignment. Scott is eligible to come off the 15-day DL May 26.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesWednesday 5/20, 8:02 PM CT
According to MASNsports.com, Luke Scott will be ready to come off the DL on May 26 when he is eligible. Scott is on the DL with a sore shoulder.

Our View: Scott has been ok so far this season for the Orioles, but chances are you probably found someone just as good or better when he was out. His fantasy value is just average, but if he is on your team he will be ready to go on May 26 so feel free to activate him then.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSaturday 5/16, 2:32 PM CT
According to TSN.com, the Orioles have placed ailing outfielder Luke Scott on the 15-day DL with a sore shoulder. The move is retroactive to May 11th.

Our View: This move happening was just a matter of time. With almost the entire O's outfield banged up in one way or another, someone had to go on the shelf. Adam Jones and Felix Pie are hurting as well and it still remains to be seen if they will find their way onto the DL. Starter Rich Hill was called up to fill the roster spot vacated by Scott.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesFriday 5/15, 9:33 AM CT
Luke Scott continues to receive treatment on his ailing left shoulder, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Our View: Scott is improving, but noted that he is still sore when he gets full extension on his swing. He is hopeful of returning to the diamond this weekend.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesTuesday 5/12, 3:28 PM CT
The Baltimore Orioles got some good news on Tuesday, reports MASNsports.com. The MRI on Luke Scott's shoulder came back negative, and he will avoid the disabled list.

Our View: It was widely believed that Scott was headed for a sure-fire trip to the DL, but the MRI looked good. Scott is hoping to return to the lineup on Thursday, so keep that in mind if he is on your team.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesMonday 5/11, 10:56 AM CT
Luke Scott is slated for an MRI on his left shoulder today after injuring it during Sunday's game, according to the Baltimore Sun. He was injured while running the bases and he said, "As soon as I hit the ground, I knew something was hurting. I have iced it twice. The first time after I iced it, it felt really terrible. The second time, it felt better. Right now, I can lift my shoulder, and that is a plus for me right now. When it first happened, I could not do it."

Our View: Nolan Reimold could get recalled from the minors for outfield depth if Scott is forced to the DL. Ty Wigginton would likely continue to serve at DH as well.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSunday 5/10, 2:21 PM CT
The Baltimore Sun is reporting that Luke Scott left the Orioles' game on Sunday with a shoulder injury. He injured the shoulder while running the bases after singling in his first at-bat.

Our View: No word yet on the severity of the injury, but he was replaced by Ty Wigginton at the DH spot. Expect Wigginton to continue to DH until Scott is able to return. We will keep you updated on his condition.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesThursday 5/7, 12:10 AM CT
Luke Scott had two hits in two at-bats including his fifth home run of the year for the Orioles.

Our View: Scott hasn't been an overly exciting option thus far, but he is hitting .280 with five home runs and 15 RBI in 27 games for the Orioles. He should continue producing along these lines as a valuable outfield option in AL-only leagues.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesThursday 4/23, 10:26 PM CT
Luke Scott was 1-for-2 with a double, two RBI and two walks in the Orioles' 6-2 win over the White Sox in Thursday.

Our View: Scott has been a nice surprise for the now .500 Orioles. He is hitting .309 with three homers, ten RBI and four doubles. The DH will continue to see consistent playing time as long as he keeps this up.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesWednesday 4/22, 9:18 PM CT
Luke Scott hit his third home run of the season, but it wasn't enough as the Orioles lost to the White Sox 8-2. Scott was 1-for-4 in the game.

Our View: Scott has performed nicely so far in 2009, as he has tallied three home runs already. He is hitting over .300 and is worth a look in AL-only leagues for sure.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesThursday 4/9, 4:43 PM CT
Luke Scott hit his first home run of the season Thursday in Baltimore's 11-2 to loss to the Yankees.

Our View: Scott also struck out once and left a man stranded on the basepaths. He's batting .200 thus far this season, but he should present some decent value in AL-only leagues as the O's everyday DH.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesThursday 3/5, 3:46 PM CT
Luke Scott went 1-for-3 and drove in two in Thursday's exhibition against the Marlins. He has already driven in five runs this spring and is hitting .385.

Our View: This is a good sign for potential Scott owners. He's looking to build on last year's 23 homer campaign and should benefit in the Orioles' hitter friendly stadium. A good outfield option in mixed leagues.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesTuesday 1/20, 12:11 PM CT
The Orioles have avoided salary arbitration with Luke Scott by inking the outfielder to a one-year deal worth $2.4 million, according to the Baltimore Sun. He only made $430,000 last season.

Our View: Scott hit 23 homers on 475 at-bats last season, and still has room to improve in the power department.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesFriday 1/16, 6:02 PM CT
The Orioles are attempting to sign Luke Scott to a new contract before arbitration figures are exchanged on Tuesday, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Our View: Scott will have a decent case going into arbitration, as he hit 23 home runs last season in fewer than 500 at-bats. Arbitration doesn't take into account the current economic conditions, so the O's would be wise to sign him before it comes to that.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesTuesday 9/23, 6:59 PM CT
Luke Scott went 0-for-4 and struck out three times in the Orioles 5-2 loss to the Rays.

Our View: Scott is ending his season with a whimper, hitting .190 in September, with 13 strikeouts in 58 at-bats.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesTuesday 9/9, 11:35 AM CT
Luke Scott hit his 22nd home run last night against the Tribe, and is now slugging at .500 for the season.

Our View: His peripherals are nearly identical to last year's, and while some still have hope that Scott could become a top-tiered option, at 30 years of age he's likely peaked.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSunday 8/17, 4:38 PM CT
The Orioles and Tigers insured the fans in Detroit were given a show, though they weren't terribly happy with the results as the O's won 16-8. One of several players of note, outfielder Luke Scott went 3-for-6 with his 22nd double and 20th and 21st home runs of the season, totaling a whopping four RBIs and two runs scored on the day.

Our View: Scott also managed to strikeout three times, stranding five runs in the process.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesTuesday 8/5, 11:40 PM CT
Luke Scott went 3-for-3 with a solo homer against the Angels on Tuesday night. The outfielder is hitting .283 with five home runs in 19 games since the All-Star break.

Our View: Scott has performed roughly as expected this season. He is a very streaky hitter with good pop. Scott is tough to stomach in weekly head-to-head formats, but he's more palatable if you can let the ups and downs even out a bit.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesMonday 7/21, 3:29 PM CT
Luke Scott has been named the AL Player of the Week, according to the AP. Scott earned the honor by batting .538 (7-for-13) with three homers and six RBI over four games.

Our View: It marks his first career weekly award. He raised his season average to .267, and is currently riding a three-game RBI streak, with six racked up over the span. As previously stated, he could be headed for a strong second half.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSunday 7/20, 3:50 PM CT
Luke Scott went 1-for-3 with an RBI and provided the Orioles' lone source of scoring in Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Tigers at home. His hit, which was one of three mustered by the Orioles in the game, was good for a double.

Our View: He extended his RBI streak to three games, with six recorded over the span. He also has three home runs over his last three games, and could be headed for a strong second half. He is worth targeting if you can get him for a favorable price.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesFriday 7/18, 9:10 PM CT
The Orioles found a flurry of power hitting to get the 7-4 win over Detroit, led by the bat of outfielder Luke Scott. Scott went 2-for-4 at the dish with two homers (his 15th and 16th of the year), totaling three RBIs and two runs scored on the night.

Our View: Scott has seen better days, hitting just .105 for the month of July coming into tonight. After hitting eight homers with a .333 average last month, the fall is frustrating for fantasy owners. We hope tonight signifies a reversal of fortunes for Scott moving forward.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSunday 6/29, 4:37 PM CT
Luke Scott swatted his second homer in as many days on Sunday. He his a solo shot and added a single over five at-bats against the Nationals. Scott is hitting .333-8-13-19 over 24 games in June.

Our View: We've seen Scott go through hot, power-filled streaks in the past, and he's worth plugging in while he's hot. Just be sure to keep an eye on him and watch out for a cold streak.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesWednesday 6/18, 9:24 PM CT
Luke Scott hit his 12th home run of the season and the Orioles won an extra inning affair 2-1 over the Houston Astros on Wednesday night.

Our View: Scott has been on fire and in just over 200 at-bats the ex-Astro has 27 RBI, 31 runs scored and two stolen bases to go along with his 12 long balls.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesFriday 6/13, 10:15 PM CT
Luke Scott rewarded skipper Dave Trembley who told the Baltimore Sun on Thursday that his outfielder would get more playing time. Scott continued his recent tear hitting his 11th home run of the season.

Our View: Scott scored twice (29) and recorded his 26th RBI of the year.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesFriday 6/13, 8:17 AM CT
Manager Dave Trembley commented that Luke Scott will see more action against left-handed pitchers, according to the Baltimore Sun. Trembley said, "I'm very much aware of what the rotations are for the next couple of series, and you'll see Scott play against left-handed pitchers."

Our View: The Orioles have faced a left-handed starter in 15 games this season, and Scott has started just three of them. Thursday night was the sixth straight game against a left-handed pitcher that Scott has been out of the lineup. Scott is hitting .167 against lefties, but that is in only 30 at-bats, and he has been one of the Orioles' top sluggers as of late, as he has hits in 14 of his last 35 at-bats (.400).
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSunday 6/8, 4:48 PM CT
Baltimore outfielder Luke Scott was a force at the plate today despite the 5-4 loss to Toronto, going 2-for-4 with two home runs on the day, finishing with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Our View: Scott hit just .212 through the month of May but has improved, hitting .348 through June coming into today.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSunday 6/1, 3:58 PM CT
Luke Scott went 2-for-4 with a double, homer, two runs, and two RBI in Sunday's loss to the Red Sox. The outfielder has socked three long balls over his last eight games.

Our View: Scott hasn't been the breakout player than some fantasy owners hoped for, but the recent power surge is nice. Too bad he isn't hitting much of anything else.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesTuesday 5/13, 9:48 PM CT
The Orioles got nice pitching, but they needed the offense to hold off the Boston Red Sox tonight for a 5-4 win. DH Luke Scott led the way, going 3-for-4 at the plate with his second home run of the season, taking Josh Beckett deep in the 3rd inning with two runners on base and two outs on the board. Scott left with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Our View: Times have been rough for Scott since entering May, going 4-for-22 with one walk and eight strikeouts coming into tonight. This may signal a brighter day or two ahead.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesTuesday 5/6, 11:13 AM CT
Luke Scott was out of the lineup for the fourth time in five games on Monday due a bout with the flu, according to the Washington Post.

Our View: He is also battling a batting slump, as he only registered three hits over his last 31 at-bats. The team off to rest from the flu could help the "mental" part of his game.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSaturday 5/3, 5:35 PM CT
Luke Scott went 1-for-3 and registered the Orioles' lone RBI in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Angels.

Our View: That was his first hit over his last six games, and his first RBI since April 18. He is hitting .286, but has failed to make a strong impact with the Orioles so far.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesFriday 4/18, 9:47 PM CT
Luke Scott picked up his 8th RBI of the season thanks to two hits on Friday night. Scott also scored two runs and his average now sits at .389.

Our View: Scott continues to be everything the Orioles hoped for as he has been hitting and getting on base at almost 50% of the time.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesFriday 4/11, 10:39 PM CT
Luke Scott picked up two hits and two RBI on Friday night as he upped his season long average to .429 through 28 AB. This is the same Scott that was called up to Houston in 2006, and not the hitter who struggled last year in Texas. Scott could end up being a great AL Only play as well as a solid starter in deep mixed leagues if the Orioles just give hime the at-bats.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesMonday 4/7, 7:38 AM CT
Luke Scott followed up his 3-for-3 outing on Saturday with a 3-for-4 performance on Sunday. The outfielder doubled in both games, but he has managed only one run and two RBI despite all those hits. Still, it's a promising start for the former Astro.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSaturday 4/5, 9:27 PM CT
Luke Scott went 3-for-3 with two RBI on Saturday night in the Orioles 6-4 victory over the Mariners. Scott, who hit in the sixth hole, would appear to be in a great position to drive in some runs with the Orioles, that is if Kevin Millar and Aubrey Huff continue to find their way on base ahead of him.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesMonday 2/11, 4:16 PM CT
The Orioles signed Luke Scott to a one-year deal on Monday, thereby avoiding arbitration. Scott hit .255-18-69 for the Astros last year and will be an everyday player against right-handers in the Baltimore outfield.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSaturday 8/18, 2:37 AM CT
Luke Scott missed his second straight start Friday, two days after re-aggravating his strained groin on Wednesday, the AP reports.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesFriday 8/17, 10:40 AM CT
Luke Scott was benched Thursday due to a strained adductor muscle near his left groin, according to the Houston Chronicle. He aggravated the injury on Wednesday night. "Well, I didn't put him in the lineup (Thursday) based on how he felt (Wednesday) night," manager Phil Garner said. "Give him a day today. He's had these nagging issues from time to time." It's unclear if Scott will be back in the lineup today.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesThursday 6/14, 7:41 AM CT
Luke Scott was pulled from the starting lineup Wednesday due to his abdominal injury, the AP reports. Chris Burke took his place. Scott says he's recovered from a strained left hip flexor he sustained June 9; he's been doing regular pinch-hitting work of late, but hasn't been playing the field.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesTuesday 6/12, 1:02 AM CT
Luke Scott, who suffered a hip flexor injury on Saturday, tested the injury before Monday's game and said he was about 75 percent. "Hopefully, he'll be all right by tomorrow," manager Phil Garner told the AP.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSunday 6/10, 6:42 AM CT
Luke Scott left Saturday's game in the eighth inning with a hip flexor injury, the AP reports. He's considered day-to-day.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesFriday 4/6, 9:46 PM CT
Luke Scott returned to the lineup Friday after missing two games with a hyperextended right elbow, according to the AP. Scott was 1-for-4 on the night.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesThursday 4/5, 3:23 AM CT
Luke Scott was out of the lineup for the second straight day Wednesday with a hyperexteded right elbow, the AP reports. Manager Phil Garner said he doesn't think it's serious and hopes he'll be ready to play Friday when the Astros open their series with the Cardinals. "I'm a little concerned," he said. "I don't know how long he might be out or can't throw. When you're carrying 12 pitchers and you only have one guy that's not a full player it does limit you."
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesWednesday 4/4, 11:27 AM CT
Luke Scott won't play Wednesday as he rests his sore elbow, the Houston Chronicle reports. Scott was scratched from Tuesday's lineup due to the injury, though he later pinch hit. "As long as I end my swing and finish low, it feels all right," said Scott, who injured the elbow in spring training and aggravated it sliding into second Monday. "When I finish high or my arms gets away from me, it barks at me a little bit. I think it will subside. I tried throwing, and it was difficult."
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSunday 4/1, 8:50 AM CT
Luke Scott will be the Astros main right fielder to start the season, though Jason Lane will pick up some starts against left-handers, according to the team's website. Scott is expected to start opening day even with lefty Zach Duke on the mound for Pittsburgh.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSaturday 3/31, 12:57 AM CT
Luke Scott appears to be the front-runner for the Astros in right field, though Phil Garner hasn't made anything official yet, the team's website reports. Scott, who hit .250 (15-for-60) over 24 games in Florida and was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer Friday, has been battling with Jason Lane (.271) this spring. Both players outlasted Richard Hidalgo, who's already been released.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSaturday 9/23, 11:08 PM CT
Luke Scott had two homers and five RBI in Saturday's win over St. Louis, including the walk-off three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth. Scott's heroics made up for a poor play he made in the outfield in the top half of the inning. He's now hitting .368 on the year, and he has six homers and 19 RBI in September.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSaturday 8/12, 8:15 PM CT
Now that the Astros have designated Preston Wilson for assignment, it appears as if Luke Scott will take over permanently in left field. Scott, who is hitting .413 with three home runs and 11 RBI in 75 AB, had been getting the majority of the starts there anyway.
Luke Scott, LF, Baltimore OriolesSaturday 7/29, 12:33 AM CT
Luke Scott became the sixth Astro in franchise history to hit for the cycle when he accomplished the feat Friday in a loss to the D'Backs, according to the AP. Scott has started six of the last eight games in the outfield and is hitting .444 with a homer and six RBI over that time.
