Chris Aguila, LF, New York MetsFriday 7/11, 5:22 PM CT
Chris Aguila did not last long with the Mets. He managed just 12 at-bats during his brief stay in New York.

Our View: Aguila has managed to find a way to become even less relevant to fantasy owners.

Chris Aguila has been called up by the New York Mets, according to the New York Daily News.

Our View: Aguila will be a backup and will likely not offer fantasy owners much.

Outfielder Chris Aguila has cleared waivers and will report to Triple-A New Orleans, according to MLB.com.

Our View: The 29-year old outfielder holds no fantasy value this season.
Chris Aguila, LF, New York MetsWednesday 6/11, 7:21 PM CT
Chris Aguila was called up from Triple-A New Orleans on Wednesday to help the Mets fill in for the loss of Ryan Church and Moises Alou, according to MLB.com. "I wouldn't look at myself as a big home run guy," Aguila said. "I was swinging the bat pretty good, and happened to hit some home runs."

Our View: Aguila is on fire right now hitting .528 with seven home runs over his last nine games to push his season totals up to .308-17-40 in 221 AB with eh Zephyrs. Still, he doesn't figure to do much more than provide depth for an outfield suddenly beset by injuries.
Chris Aguila, LF, New York MetsWednesday 6/11, 11:52 AM CT
The Mets will recall Chris Aguila from Triple-A New Orleans today, according to Metsblog.com. He was batting .318 with 17 homers and 40 RBI in 218 at-bats.

Our View: The power Aguila has displayed this year has come out of nowhere. He has just three homers in 218 at-bats in his major league career, and he's never hit more than 15 homers in the minors (and that was back in 1999). He should get some playing time in right against lefties.

Chris Aguila signed a minor league contract with the Pirates and will come to spring training to compete for a reserve job in the outfield. Aguila was expected to play a major role for the Marlins last year but instead got just 95 at-bats.
