Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsThursday 10/1, 8:20 PM CT
Kendry Morales crushed his 34th home run of the season on Thursday, but that's about all the production the Angels would get, as they lost 11-3 to the Rangers at home.

Our View: The dream continues for Morales, who now has 34 home runs in 150 games this season after hitting just 12 in his first 127 career games.

Our View: Morales has exploded onto the scene in his first full season in the majors. Saturday's three-RBI effort put him over the century mark (102), and he'll be in the conversation for AL MVP.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsMonday 9/21, 11:54 PM CT
Kendry Morales went 1-for-1 with a solo homer off Brian Bruney in tonight's 5-2 win over the Yankees at Angel Stadium.

Our View: Morales snapped a 20-game skid without a homer, but still leads the Angels with 31. He needs one more RBI to reach 100 as well.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsSunday 9/13, 8:53 AM CT
Angels' first baseman Kendry Morales received a day off on Saturday, according to MLB.com. Morales is expected to return to the lineup on Sunday for the Angels' game against the White Sox.

Our View: Morales has done plenty this season t deserve a day off, but fantasy owners can rest easy knowing he will be back in there today. He remains one of the biggest surprises in 2009, and expecthim to continue to hit until the season is done.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsWednesday 9/9, 11:59 PM CT
Kendry Morales drove in three more runs on Wednesday night, bringing his season total to 98, as Los Angeles won 6-3 in Anaheim.

Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsSunday 8/30, 8:14 PM CT
Kendry Morales just keeps on hitting. The Angels slugger went 2-for-4 on Sunday and belted a three-run homer in a 9-1 win over the A's.

Our View: The homer was Morales' 30th this season. In his other three years of big league service, he hit a grand total of 12. Not sure where the power came from, but it's hard to argue with the results. He now has 94 RBI on the season as well.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsSaturday 8/29, 12:37 AM CT
Put the kids to bed because Kendry Morales was disgusting on Friday night. The emerging slugger went 5-for-5 with a pair of homer and six RBI in the Angels 11-7 win over the A's.

Our View: Kendry has emerged as one of the most productive fantasy players in the game this season. In just his first full season of his career he's emerged as the prime threat in the Angels lineup. He now has 29 homers, 91 RBI and is hitting .307 on the season and leads the team in homers and RBI.

Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsMonday 8/3, 4:23 PM CT
Kendry Morales has been named the AL Player of the Week, according to MLB.com. Morales earned the honor by leading the majors with five home runs and 13 RBI last week. He also batted .423 (11-for-26).

Our View: This marked Morales' first weekly award, and he should continue to satisfy fantasy owners down the stretch in his first year as the Angels' starting first baseman.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsSunday 8/2, 6:53 PM CT
Kendry Morales went off on Sunday against the Twins. He went 3-for-5, cracked two homers and drove in six in the Angels 13-4 thrashing of Minnesota.

Our View: The six RBI were courtesy of a pair of three-runs shots and Morales now has 23 homers and 69 RBI this season, complimented by a .299 average. He's blasted 10 long balls and plated 28 runs since July began.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsSunday 7/26, 6:26 PM CT
Kendry Morales' fourth inning solo home run provided the Halos only run on Sunday, as the Twins scored early and often in their 10-1 victory.

Our View: Morales drove in a run in all three games against the Twins this weekend, and has done an admirable job of picking up the Angels' offensive slack while both Torii Hunter and Vladimir Guerrero are out.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsSaturday 7/18, 12:37 AM CT
Kendry Morales hit his 17th home run of the season on Friday in the Angels' 7-3 loss to the A's. Morales went 2-for-3 with the homer, a run scored, and an RBI in the game.

Our View: Morales has been a bit of a fantasy surprise this season, but he keeps contributing. He is a solid play in all leagues, and as long as the power remains he will continue to be a good play all year.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsThursday 7/16, 11:52 PM CT
Kendry Morales went 1-for-4 with a two run home run on Thursday as the Angels beat the A's 6-2.

Our View: Morales is having a breakout season in 2009 at age 26, and is worth an own in every format because of his power and decent average.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsSaturday 7/11, 8:37 AM CT
Kendry Morales hit his 15th home run of the season on Friday, leading a Vlad and Torii-less Angel lineup, as the Halos beat the Yanks 10-6 at home.

Our View: Kendry's going to have to hit a lot of three run bombs the next two weeks to keep the Angels offense going without their two outfield stars. He is not a bad option at first base or utility.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsTuesday 6/23, 12:23 AM CT
Kendry Morales went 1-for-4 with a solo homer off Aaron Cook, and recorded the Angels' lone RBI in Monday's 11-1 home loss to the Rockies.

Our View: Morales remains a nice source for power, as he launched his fourth homer of June, and his 12th of the season. He has a hit in eight of his last nine games as well.

Kendry Morales hit his 11th home run of the season on Saturday in the Angels' 6-4 loss to the Dodgers. Morales went 2-for-4 with a home run, a run scored, and an RBI.

Our View: Morales has shown some nice power so far this season, and he is worth a look in most fantasy formats at this point. His average is solid at .274, and the homers and RBIs are there. He could be a nice addition to any team who is hurting for some power.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsTuesday 6/2, 8:56 PM CT
Kendry Morales went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Tuesday's 6-4 loss at Toronto. Both of his knocks were singles.

Our View: The Angels only mustered seven hits in the game, all singles. Morales has recorded a hit in four straight games, with three RBI over the span.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsMonday 6/1, 12:31 PM CT
Kendry Morales hit a bases loaded single in the ninth inning Sunday to complete a six run comeback for the Angels over the Mariners.

Our View: Morales now has a hit in seven of his last nine games and finished with 16 RBIs for the month of May. He should provide a consistent, if not elite, backup or utility option in most fantasy leagues.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsTuesday 5/19, 12:23 AM CT
Kendry Morales was 3-for-5 with two home runs, three RBI, and three runs scored as the Angels defeated the Mariners 10-6 on Monday.

Our View: Morales is hitting eighth in the lineup, but the Angels are deep enough offensively that he still sees solid RBI opportunities. He is slugging .551 and has accumulated 26 RBI this season. He seems well on his way to his breakout season.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsThursday 5/7, 11:46 PM CT
Kendry Morales hit his fifth home run of the season in Thursday's 6-1 win over the Blue Jays. He finished the night 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.

Our View: Morales also struck out once giving him 20 whiffs against just six walks. While his OBP is mediocre, you have to like the .531 slugging percentage. Morales should only get better going forward.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsSaturday 5/2, 3:38 PM CT
First baseman Kendry Morales went 2-for-4 with a homer, two runs, two RBI, and a walk in Saturday's win over the Yankees.

Our View: Morales has been swinging pretty well lately, which is no surprise given his minor league track record. He isn't going to turn into a star, but Kendry is looking like a decent utility option in larger mixed leagues.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsWednesday 4/29, 2:45 PM CT
First baseman Kendry Morales went 2-for-4 with a triple, homer, and two RBI in Wednesday's win over the Orioles. He has multiple hits in five of his last six games.

Our View: Morales has spent the last few years smoking the ball in the minors, and this little hot streak isn't at all surprising. We wondered about his ability to hit for power, but he is off to a pretty good start with three homers and seven doubles this month.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsThursday 4/23, 12:57 AM CT
Kendry Morales had a huge night at the dish on Wednesday, going 2-for-5 with a home run and five RBI, but the Angels still lost to the Tigers 12-10.

Our View: Morales has had a slow start to the season, but he is hitting in a decent lineup and he is right in the middle of it. The RBI opportunity should be there, but it remains to be seen if he can take advantage.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsMonday 3/30, 6:05 PM CT
Kendry Morales went 3-for-4 with three RBI, a double, and a run scored in the Angels 13-3 win over the White Sox on Monday. He is now hitting .394 through 71 spring at-bats.

Our View: Morales will be the everyday first baseman for the Angels this season, and he figures to hit sixth behind Bobby Abreu, Vladimir Guerrero, and Torii Hunter. He could see a lot of RBI opportunities fall his way. He has always produced excellent numbers in the minors and he should provide very good value for his low draft position.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsSaturday 3/21, 8:51 PM CT
Kendry Morales was 1-for-3 with a home run on Saturday. He is hitting .391 this spring.

Our View: Morlaes is slated as the every day first baseman in LA. It's uncertain what his production will be like since he's never been given consistent at-bats, but he has the tools. If he blossoms and you snag him late it could be the steal of the draft.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsFriday 3/13, 6:51 PM CT
Kendry Morales was 2-for-3 with four RBI Friday against the Cubs. One of the hits was his first home run of the spring.

Our View: Morales has never hit more than five home runs in a season during his three years of limited duty, so it will be interesting to see how he fares while getting the chance to play full-time with the Angels in 2009.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsSunday 2/8, 1:09 PM CT
Kendry Morales will play first base in 2009 with a combo of Juan Rivera, Gary Matthews, Jr., and Reggie Willits working in left field and at DH, according to BaseballProspectus.com.

Our View: GM Tony Reagins believes it is time to give their promising young players regular playing time, like Morales. Morales looks to be a nice sleeper for AL-only leagues, and potentially mixed leagues as well.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsTuesday 1/13, 4:56 PM CT
Kendry Morales is leading Gigantes del Cibao of the Dominican winter league with a .357 average and four home runs in the team's 10 playoff games.

Our View: Morales hasn't done a lot with his playing time with the Angels thus far, but it looks like he could finally be in line for an everyday job this season. He is a nice sleeper in AL-only play and could end up being a mixed league option, as well.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsSaturday 11/8, 7:20 PM CT
Kendry Morales had a home run and a double in the DWL on Friday. He is now 9-for-23 with four home runs this winter.

Our View: Morales is probably ready for a full-time job, but there is not much space in the Angels offense. Should the team fail to re-sign Mark Teixeira, they could turn to Morales at first base.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsThursday 9/18, 5:33 PM CT
Kendry Morales hit his second home run of the year on Thursday in the Angels' 6-4 win over the A's.

Our View: The Angels are giving Morales a good look late in the season just in case the team can't sign Mark Teixeira. Morales hit 16 home runs in the minors this season and has showed some power in the big leagues.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsThursday 9/4, 2:16 PM CT
If the Angels cannot re-sign Mark Teixeira in the offseason, the team would likely turn to Kendry Morales to be it's full-time first baseman, according to MLB.com.

Our View: Morales hit .352 with 16 home runs in the minors this season, so he can clearly hit. He does have some things to work on, because in 338 at-bats, he walked just 20 times. Of course, he only struck out 44 times, but with improved plate discipline comes improved numbers.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsSunday 8/31, 9:49 PM CT
The Angels have called up Kendry Morales from Triple-A Salt Lake, MLB.com reports.

Our View: Morales is no stranger to the route between Salt Lake and Los Angeles. He tends to rip the ball at Triple-A and spend much of his major league time on the bench. The Angels are dealing with some injuries, but we don't expect Morales to see regular at-bats.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsFriday 8/15, 3:32 PM CT
Kendry Morales has been recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake, according to the OC Register. The team placed infielder Maicer Izturis on the 15-day DL as the corresponding move.

Our View: Morales has been hitting very well at Salt Lake, with a .330 average, 12 homers, and 52 RBI over 64 games. He would be worth a look in deeper AL-only leagues, but isn't likely to get many at-bats with Mark Teixeira at first base.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsMonday 5/5, 11:24 PM CT
Kendry Morales blasted two home runs for Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday, giving him five for the season.

Our View: With as many good hitters as the Angels have at the major league level, it is easy to forget about Morales at Triple-A. The Cuban is not off to a great start for the Salt Lake Bees, hitting only .270, but he does wait in the wings should the Angels need a DH or first baseman and has shown the ability to be an impact bat.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsSaturday 4/26, 7:16 AM CT
Kendry Morales has been sent down to the minors, according to MLB.com. Chris Bootcheck is battling the flu, and the team called up a pair of relievers (Rich Thompson and Jose Arredondo) to add depth to the pen.

Our View: He was given no at-bats during his stint with the Angels, and he was seen as expendable.
Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsSunday 4/20, 10:08 PM CT
The Angels have decided to add a bench player and reduce their 25-man roster to 11 pitchers, this according to the team website. LA will call-up Kendry Morales for the first time this season from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Kendry Morales, 1B, Los Angeles AngelsWednesday 5/9, 9:37 AM CT
The Angels recalled Kendry Morales from the minors on Tuesday to take the roster spot of the injured Justin Speier, according to the LA Times. Morales had two hits in five at-bats with the Angels earlier this year, and it's unlikely that he'll see enough playing time to have any use in fantasy.

Manager Mike Scioscia said he hoped Morales would be able to provide a left-handed punch off the bench for the Angels, according to the LA Times. "Kendry is the guy swinging the bat the best right now," Scioscia said. "I think at this point our offense is what it is and it's nice to be able to infuse another bat here and there if we have to. Kendry's that guy."

Tomorrow I am going to take an MRI to see what happened," Morales said. Morales is currently playing with his Dominican winter league team. "We are waiting for a definitive diagnosis to talk to the Angels. For the moment we think that he has a small tear in the left lateral ligament, which is a day-to-day injury," said Rosario Antomarchi, the team doctor.
