Bobby Livingston has inked a minor league deal with the Indians, according to MLBblogs.com.

Our View: The Orioles granted his wish to be released, and he will now pitch at Double-A Akron. Livingston has a career 6.31 ERA in the majors, and should continue to be ignored in fantasy leagues.

Our View: He was working with Double-A Bowie, and exercised a clause in his contract to get released. The clause stated that Livingston could be released if not in the majors by July 1.

Bobby Livingston, who is recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, was placed on the 60-day disabled list to open up a roster spot for newly signed Josh Fogg. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Livingston is expected to be available sometime in May or June. His 3-3 record in 10 starts over 56.1 innings and 5.27 ERA in 2007 -- should improve upon his return.

The Reds placed Bobby Livingston on the DL Friday due to a tear in the labrum of his left shoulder. He will be evaluated again in about 10 days, according to SportsTicker. Todd Coffey was recalled from Triple-A Louisville to replace Livingston on the roster.

The Reds will recall Bobby Livingston from Triple-A Louisville to start Monday's game, according to the Cincinnati Post. Livingston posted a 3.00 ERA and 1.58 WHIP in two starts earlier this season. The Reds aren't sure how long he might remain up this time, though obviously his performance will affect that decision.

"Any time you're playing against the Yankees, you want to pitch against those guys," Livingston said. "I wanted to face those guys. If you can get those guys out, there's no reason why you couldn't get anybody else out in the big leagues. I can't explain the feeling. It was a great feeling to go out there and have that kind of success tonight."

Livingston, who was claimed off waivers from Seattle, will start Wednesday's game. "I'm really looking forward to it," said Livingston. "I'm trying not to get too excited, just treat it like I did the other day. Put myself in a calm, collected state and try not to get too worked up about it."
