Scott Proctor is slated to throw live batting practice Tuesday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Our View: Proctor has been making excellent progress in his recovery from May Tommy John surgery, and tomorrow's session is another step in his return to the mound for Atlanta - which could come at some point in April.

Scott Proctor (recovery from elbow surgery) could be healthy by Opening Day, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Our View: The 33-year-old reliever missed all of last season after undergoing Tommy John surgery. He shouldn't be of much value in leagues will middle relievers this year.

The Atlanta Braves have signed pitcher Scott Proctor to a one-year deal, according to TCPalm.com. Proctor was released by the Marlins in October after missing the entire season due to Tommy John surgery.

Our View: No word on the specific financial details of the deal, but it appears to be heavily based on incentives. The Braves were very interested in Proctor as soon as he became available, so expect him to contribute of of the bullpen next season.

Reliever Scott Proctor threw a pain-free bullpen session on Friday, MLBlogs.com reports. He has been out since early in spring training due to a sore right elbow. Proctor remains several weeks away from returning.

Our View: It's a step in the right direction. The Marlins had pegged Proctor to be a key setup man alongside Leo Nunez, but this injury has set him back. He could be back in the holds mix by late May or early June.
Scott Proctor, P, Atlanta BravesSunday 4/12, 11:46 AM CT
Scott Proctor's return to the Marlins has been pushed back, according to the Miami Herald. He is dealing with discomfort following offseason elbow surgery and manager Fredi Gonzalez said, "Best-case scenario with Proctor is the middle of May."

Our View: If healthy, Proctor would have competed for the setup role in the Marlins' bullpen. He shouldn't hold fantasy value outside of deeper NL-only leagues.
Scott Proctor, P, Atlanta BravesMonday 4/6, 8:05 PM CT

According to the Palm Beach Post, reliever Scott Proctor is set to resume throwing long toss. He is trying to return to the Marlins after being shut down earlier this spring with elbow discomfort.

Our View: When healthy, Proctor is a strikeout machine, but until he can control all his pitches and lower last year's dreadful 6.05 ERA and 1.68 WHIP he doesn't command any fantasy respect.
Scott Proctor, P, Atlanta BravesSaturday 3/7, 1:50 PM CT

Our View: Proctor struck out 46 hitters in 38.2 innings last season but managed a 6.05 ERA and a 1.68 WHIP. Until he shows more control, he does not hold any fantasy value.

Scott Proctor, who is dealing with pain in his right elbow, is expected to throw Tuesday or Wednesday, according to the Palm Beach Post. The club believes the pain is related to scar tissue breaking up in his elbow.

Our View: If healthy, Proctor would only be worth a look for NL-only leagues that feature middle relievers. He fired 46 strikeouts over 38.2 innings in 2008.
Scott Proctor, P, Atlanta BravesMonday 2/9, 11:15 AM CT
Scott Proctor could serve as a setup man behind closer Matt Lindstrom with the Marlins this season, according to MLB.com.

Scott Proctor will sign a contract to join the Marlins, in essence to replace Joe Nelson who signed with the Rays, according to the Miami Herald. The contract is reported to be for $750,000 with $250,000 in incentives.

Our View: Proctor missed time last season with elbow tendinitis, and he had shoulder surgery in October though he should be ready by spring training. Still, even a healthy Proctor will find it nearly impossible to replace the production the team received from Nelson last season (2.00 ERA, 10.00 K/9).

Scott Proctor is making progress in his recovery from right elbow tendinitis, according to the LA Times. He threw 24 pitches in a rehab appearance Saturday for Class-A Inland Empire and reported being sore the next day, but said, "It's a good soreness, though." He gave up three runs in 2/3 of an inning, but his fastball was favorably hitting the 94-96 mph range.

Our View: The next step in Proctor's recovery will be for him to pitch on back-to-back days, and plans to do that Tuesday and Wednesday. When he returns, he will hold value only in deeper leagues that use middle relievers.
Scott Proctor, P, Atlanta BravesWednesday 6/25, 8:06 PM CT
Updating an earlier report, Scott Proctor has an issue with his elbow that has forced him to the DL, according to the Los Angeles Daily News. "Scotty is that guy who figures that even in spite of it, he can go out and get people out,'' manager Joe Torre said.

Our View: Apparently he may have been hurt for a while. Looking at his numbers, it may have been bothering him since training camp.
Scott Proctor, P, Atlanta BravesWednesday 6/25, 6:52 PM CT
Scott Proctor has been placed on the DL with an unspecified injury, according to the Los Angeles Daily News. To take his spot on the roster, the Dodgers will call up relief pitcher Brian Falkenborg while placing Gary Bennett on the 60-day DL meaning that the catcher is out of action until at least July 18th.

Our View: We will update the injury when we get more information, but the fact is that Proctor has been pitching like he is hurt for most of the year if you take a look at his performance, a performance which has hopefully been on waivers in your league.
