Our View: Hill now has 31 homers and has cracked seven homers this month to go along with his 15 RBI. Quite the season for a second baseman who missed almost all of 2008 with concussion issues.

Our View: Hill now has 24 jacks on the season, and Saturday's effort marked the second time this season he's gone deep twice in a game. He's hitting just .217 this month, but today's 3-for-6 performance could be indicative of a slump-buster.

Aaron Hill cracked two home runs in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Phillies. Both were solo shots and represented the only hits in his 2-for-5 day at the plate.

Our View: Hill has been a huge surprise this season, especially in the power department. He now has 19 long balls to go with his .305 average. His previous career high for homers in a full season was 17. He's already topped that, and it's still June people.

Aaron Hill went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, three RBI, and two runs scored as the Blue Jays defeated the Phillies 7-1 on Wednesday.

Our View: Hill has four multi-hit games in his last six starts. While he has slowed down since April, he is still one of the elite fantasy second basemen this season. His run production has fallen off thanks to the rest of the lineup's decline.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysFriday 6/12, 10:39 PM CT
Aaron Hill was productive in Friday's 7-3 loss to the Marlins at the Rogers Centre as he went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Both of his knocks were singles.

Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysThursday 6/11, 11:50 PM CT
Aaron Hill went 2-for-4 with a single and a double in Thursday's 1-0 loss at Texas.

Our View: The Blue Jays only had six hits in the shutout loss. Hill is only hitting .152 in June, but he does have a four-game hitting streak - with five RBI over that span. Keep him active in fantasy leagues.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysSunday 6/7, 2:25 PM CT
Aaron Hill led the Jays offensively in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Royals at the Rogers Centre, as he went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer. He also drew a walk.

Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysSaturday 6/6, 3:26 PM CT
Aaron Hill got a much needed day off on Saturday against the Royals.

Our View: The scorching hot second baseman has come crashing back down to Earth. He is zero for his last 25 and looks lost at the plate after seeing beach balls for most of the season. His average dipped to .309, but hopefully the off day will help get him back on track. Hill was replaced by John McDonald in the lineup.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysWednesday 5/27, 5:06 PM CT
Aaron Hill stayed hot on Wednesday as the Blue Jays fell to the Orioles 12-10 in 11 innings. Hill went 2-for-6 with a home run, two runs scored, and two RBI.

Our View: Hill continues hitting the ball all over the place, and there shouldn't be a league out there he is not owned in. If for some reason he is still available, snatch him up now. If you have him, keep playing him on your infield.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysThursday 5/21, 10:33 PM CT
Aaron Hill continued his assault on AL pitching on Thursday with a 2-for-5 effort. He drove in the lone run for the Blue Jays as they fell to Boston 5-1.

Our View: Everyone keeps expecting Hill to cool off and come back down to Earth, but he refuses to do so. The surprising second baseman is hitting .351 with 11 homers and 35 RBI. Stay tuned as Hill continues his best Chase Utley impersonation.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysFriday 5/15, 8:54 PM CT
Aaron Hill led the way for the Blue Jays on Friday as they beat the White Sox 8-3. Hill was 3-for-4 with a home run, a run, and two RBI in the game.

Our View: Hill returned to his spot at second base tonight, and it looked like his shin is doing fine. Hill should be starting in all leagues at this point, and it should remain that way until he begins to cool down.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysThursday 5/14, 8:26 PM CT
Aaron Hill served as the Blue Jays' DH on Thursday. He did not play second in order to rest his sore shin.

Our View: It's a good sign that Hill was available as the DH tonight after he fouled a ball off his shin last night. He should be fine going forward, as it appears as if this was just precautionary.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysThursday 5/14, 10:35 AM CT
Aaron Hill will be evaluated after fouling a ball off his left shin during Wednesday's game against the Yankees, according to TSN.

Our View: Hill is enjoying a strong campaign with a .352 batting average, nine homers and 30 RBI over 36 games. John McDonald could replace Hill at second base if forced to miss any time.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysTuesday 5/12, 9:06 PM CT
Aaron Hill was 2-for-4 and hit his ninth homer of the season in Toronto's 5-1 win over the Yankees.

Our View: The homer gave Hill his 30th RBI and he is now hitting .357 in 2009. After a lost season due to a severe concussion in 2008, Hill has bounced back in a big way. His stats are up there with Chase Utley and Ian Kinsler and it may be time to give this kid some credit.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysThursday 5/7, 11:56 PM CT
Although his teammates' bats went silent, Aaron Hill still managed to slug one over the fence in Thursday's 6-1 loss to the Angels. The solo shot was his only hit in four at bats.

Our View: Hill has homered in each of his last two games and he has six RBI over his last three. Just another week for Hill who has put up some ridiculous numbers to start the season. The second baseman is making a case for himself to be among the top second basemen in the game, but it's still very early on to anoint him among that group.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysThursday 5/7, 12:22 AM CT
Aaron Hill went deep for the seventh time this season on his way to three RBI on Wednesday night. Hill also scored twice while producing two other hits to boost his average to .366.

Our View: One of the biggest surprises in baseball, Hill seems intent on taking over the vacated position of power hitting second baseman to be reckoned with now that Jeff Kent is in retirement. We simply can't envision Hill's power streak continuing, but we've been saying that for weeks now.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysSaturday 5/2, 3:55 PM CT
Second baseman Aaron Hill provided the heroics on Saturday. He hit a game-tying solo homer in the bottom of the 10th inning and then smacked a walk-off single in the bottom of the 11th against the Orioles. Hill went 2-for-6 in the game.

Our View: Hill was on fire in April, and it appears as though he has no intention of slowing down in May. He proved in 2007 that he can be a very useful fantasy infielder. We're still not buying totally into this red-hot start, but he is making us believe a little more with each passing day.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysWednesday 4/29, 1:04 AM CT
Aaron Hill just keeps on raking. He was 3-for-4 with two RBI in the Blue Jays 8-1 win over the Royals on Tuesday.

Our View: Hill now has 20 RBI on the season and is hitting a cool .371. He likely won't keep up this torrid pace, but the red hot second baseman is shaking off the memories of a disappointing 2008 campaign. Nothing but smiles now for Hill and his fantasy owners.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysMonday 4/27, 2:18 PM CT
Aaron Hill indicated that he is not surprised by the Blue Jays' solid start to the season, according to The Star. The Jays currently lead the AL East with a 14-6 record and Hill said, "We have always had a great team; it is just the last couple of years we have not put the hitting and pitching together at one time. Everything just seems to be working right now."

Our View: Hill has been a key contributor to their hot start, as he is hitting .367 with five homers and 18 RBI. He is riding an 11-game hitting streak, with 21 hits over the span.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysTuesday 4/21, 9:18 PM CT
Aaron Hill's power surge continued on Tuesday as the Blue Jays fell to the Rangers 5-4. He finished the game 2-for-5 with a home run, a double, an RBI, and a run scored.

Our View: Hill's start to the season has to be an aberration of his abilities. He is a good hitter, but never has he shown power like this. He is slugging .647 through 68 at bats and already has 15 RBI.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysFriday 4/17, 9:41 PM CT
Second baseman Aaron Hill went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Friday's loss to the A's. He is hitting .389 with four long balls on the season.

Our View: Hill is making up for lost time, and it's good to see him swinging well after missing most of 2008 due to post-concussion symptoms. Fantasy owners should enjoy this hot streak while it lasts.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysThursday 4/16, 12:42 AM CT
Aaron Hill kept his unlikely power surge going on Wednesday as the Blue Jays crushed the Twins 12-3. He was 4-for-5 with three RBI and hit his third home run of the season.

Our View: Hill now has three homers, 11 RBI and is hitting .356 on the young season. He had a very solid spring and looks to be well past the injuries that held him to just 55 games last season. Another year like 2007 may be on the horizon.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysFriday 4/3, 7:28 PM CT
Aaron Hill hit his second homer of the spring Friday against the Marlins.

Our View: Hill played in just 55 games last season because of complications from a concussion suffered early in the year. He has had an encouraging spring, especially at the plate, which indicates he is fully recovered and ready to return to his 2007 form.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysSaturday 3/14, 5:19 PM CT
Aaron Hill was 1-for-2 with an RBI double and a run scored as the Blue Jays fell to the Tigers 10-4 on Saturday.

Our View: Hill is hitting .364 this spring and his five doubles and five RBI in 22 at-bats seem to indicate that his 2007 power may still be lingering. The second baseman is just 27, and should make for a solid sleeper option late in drafts.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysWednesday 3/11, 5:02 PM CT
Aaron Hill went 1-for-2 with an RBI double on Wednesday. The double was his fourth of the spring and he is now hitting an impressive .350.

Our View: This is good news for fans of Aaron Hill. After being limited to only 55 games due to a concussion last year, he is looking more and more like the Aaron Hill of 2007 with each passing game, and, if he keeps it up, will vault himself into the top-15 second basemen.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysFriday 12/19, 3:15 PM CT
Aaron Hill was shut down for the year on May 29 due to a concussion, but expects to be ready for the 2009 season opener, according to the Associated Press. He is working out three times a week and said, "Everything is fine. I got the go-ahead about a month or so ago to go full time. It’s been good fun getting here every day and actually doing some things."

Our View: Hill broke out with 17 homers and 78 RBI in 2007 before suffering through an injury-shortened 2008 campaign, and will have a shot to bounce back as a top-15 fantasy shortstop (in mixed leagues) next season.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysThursday 11/13, 11:33 AM CT
Aaron Hill missed much of last season due to concussion problems, but the symptoms have cleared, and he should be ready for spring training, according to BlueJays.com.

Our View: Hill had just 205 at-bats last season, in which he hit .263 with two home runs and 20 RBI. However, in 2007 he hit .291 with 17 long balls and 78 runs knocked in. If he can get back to that type of performance, he'll have value in all mixed leagues.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysSaturday 8/16, 2:35 PM CT
Second baseman Aaron Hill will not play again this season due to continued problems with a concussion he suffered in May, according to NationalPost.com.

Our View: Hill does not have a timetable for his return, and he is currently seeing specialists about the issue.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysTuesday 8/12, 10:32 AM CT
The Jays are close to officially ending second baseman Aaron Hill's 2008 season. Hill continues to struggle with the after-effects of a concussion suffered on May 29, according to the Toronto Star.

Our View: Hill is currently rehabbing in Florida but continues to have problems stemming from his collision with SS David Eckstein.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysSaturday 7/12, 1:27 PM CT
Aaron Hill has started to field ground balls and hit off a tee at Toronto's complex in Dunedin, Florida, according to BlueJays.com. He has been sidelined since May 29 with post-concussion syndrome.

Our View: Hill is making progress, but there's still no timetable for his return from the DL.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysWednesday 7/9, 5:05 PM CT
The Toronto Star reports that second baseman Aaron Hill is slowly recovering from a concussion he suffered May 29.

Our View: Hill has now begun riding a stationary bike, but is still not been cleared to take part in baseball related activities.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysTuesday 6/24, 7:33 PM CT
Toronto reports second baseman Aaron Hill has been instructed to take two weeks away from the team after which he will be re-evaluated for a potential return to action, according to MLB.com.

Our View: General manager J.P. Ricciardi told reporters that Hill's struggled to overcome post-consuccions syndrome have been far more challenging than anticipated. The 26-year-old Hill was struck on the side of the head by shortstop David Eckstein during a play in the seventh inning against Oakland on May 29. This past weekend in Pittsburgh, the second baseman met with a concussion specialist at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysFriday 6/20, 10:04 PM CT
Aaron Hill still is unable to overcome his concussion related symptoms, and as a result he is out indefinitely as the team awaits for his facilities to return, according to MLB.com.

Our View: Hill wont do any baseball related activities for at least two weeks, at which time he will be reevaluated in what is quickly shaping up to be a lost season a year after his breakout performance of last season.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysSaturday 6/14, 12:32 PM CT
Aaron Hill remains frustrated as he attempts to return from a concussion. He had a setback on Friday. Hill performed a light workout (fielding, hitting, biking), and the effort led to more headaches and dizziness. "I couldn't sleep -- the headaches," Hill told MLB.com. "I don't know. I didn't do anything crazy. Some days are worse than others." His return date is unclear.

Our View: We can only imagine what a nightmare this must be for Hill. He'll need to work a week without symptoms before the Jays will send him on a rehab assignment, so we know he's still at least 10 or 14 days away, if not more.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysThursday 6/12, 2:18 PM CT
Aaron Hill is having a hard time dealing with his concussion, according to TSN.ca. Hill said, "This is so annoying and frustrating. If it was something else, it's easy to grind through an ankle or a knee, hip, arm, whatever, you can fight through that stuff. They've got painkillers for those types of things. But doing something with the brain, you don't want to mess with it. I would, but way too many people have told me I shouldn't, and I'm listening for a change."

Our View: He is eligible to be activated from the DL on Saturday, but isn't going to happen. The team is hoping Hill remains symptom-free through Monday, which would mark seven normal days and allow him to start a rehab assignment. If he suffers a setback, the cycle must start all over again.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysWednesday 6/11, 9:30 AM CT
Aaron Hill is still at least five days away from beginning a rehab assignment, according to the Toronto Star. GM J.P. Ricciardi said Hill has been symptom-free for two days but needs seven before seeing game action. "We're going to err on the side of caution," the GM said.

Our View: There's no reason to ever rush anyone back from a concussion, so this is a smart move by the Blue Jays.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysTuesday 6/10, 7:34 PM CT
Aaron Hill could begin a minor league rehab assignment next week. The second baseman has been out since May 29 due to a concussion. "He feels a lot better. He's not dizzy. He's not nauseous," general manager J.P. Ricciardi tells MLB.com. "He's on the field moving around. After exercise, he's not dizzy. They consider that asymptomatic."

Our View: The Blue Jays obviously aren't going to take any chances when it comes to handling a concussion. Fantasy owners should be prepared to work without Hill next week.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysSaturday 6/7, 11:44 AM CT
Aaron Hill has missed seven straight games due to a mild concussion and the team has decided to place him on the 15-day DL, according to the AP. The move is retroactive to May 30. The team decided to activate outfielder Vernon Wells.

Our View: He could not play due to headaches and lightheadedness, and hopefully he will bounce back fine upon his return. He was only hitting .263 with two homers and 20 RBI over 55 games, so fantasy owners won't be hurt too much by his absence.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysFriday 6/6, 11:35 PM CT
Aaron Hill missed his seventh straight game Friday due to a concussion, according to the AP. Hill is still suffering lightheadedness and headaches.

Our View: Look for the Jays to DL Hill soon, as it sounds like he's not coming back soon unless he experiences a breakthrough.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysTuesday 6/3, 6:36 PM CT
Aaron Hill missed his fourth straight start Tuesday due to a concussion, according to MLB.com. Hill took part in early batting practice at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday but is still feeling the lingering effects of an injury that occurred last Thursday. "Frustrated," Hill said when asked how he was feeling. "I'm kind of getting tired of being honest, because they keep me out of the lineup. But, like I've said before, I don't want to push it."

Our View: Concussions are tricky, so it's hard to predict when Hill will be back, though it's good to know that the results of a CAT scan came back clean.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysSunday 6/1, 9:24 PM CT
Aaron Hill, who left Thursday's game after a collision with shortstop David Eckstein and suffered a concussion, missed his third straight game Sunday.

Our View: Hill remains day-to-day.
Aaron Hill, 2B, Toronto Blue JaysSaturday 5/31, 8:42 PM CT
Aaron Hill was held out of his second straight game on Saturday due to a mild concussion, according to MLB.com. Hill has been asked to refrain from any baseball activity and he said, "I'm just following doctors orders. If something is messing with the head, I don't want to mess with it. I'm just doing what they say. They shut me down. I'm sure it's just for the next day or so."

The Blue Jays gave Aaron Hill a day off on Saturday, and Jorge Velandia started in his place. Hill is 13-for-67 (.194) over the last 18 games. "You never want to say you need a day off, but it will be nice just to get my head straight," he tells the Toronto Star.

Our View: The Blue Jays are going to need Hill to pick it up while Vernon Wells is out. We're sure he got that message while sitting on Saturday. Aaron played 160 games in 2007, and we don't expect him to rest very much the rest of the way in 2008.

Aaron Hill continues to blister the ball as he picked up two hits and knocked in three runs for the Jays.

Our View: Hill didn't get a lot of respect in most circles entering the year, but he seems more than intent to prove that last year's performance is merely his flooring moving forward.
