Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesSaturday 11/15, 7:28 PM CT
Darrell Rasner's right were sold to the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles of the Pacific League for $1 million dollars, according to ESPN.

Our View: Rasner appeared for the Yankees in 24 games last season, starting 20 of them. He got rocked several times, so the Yankees were more than happy to permit Rasner's wish to pitch in Japan.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesThursday 9/4, 9:52 PM CT
Darrell Rasner was bombed on Thursday night as he lasted just 1.2 innings permitting six hits, two walks and five runs.

Our View: At the end of this outing Rasner's ERA is 5.43 and his WHIP is an awful 1.55, so the question really becomes why are the Yankees still running him out there? The answer is they don't have any other options. Hopefully you do.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesSaturday 8/30, 4:10 PM CT
Darrell Rasner pitched well against the Blue Jays for the second time this season, but once again the offense failed to emerge to pull out victory. Rasner pitched six innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits with one walk, one strikeout, and one homer surrendered.

Our View: Rasner has shown flashes and could be one of the more promising arms the Yankees have raised. He will continue to work for attention and continued innings in the majors, but his immediate fantasy potential is rather limited. Watch his progress as he moves forward and keep him in mind for next season.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesTuesday 8/19, 8:46 PM CT
Darrell Rasner pitched well against the Blue Jays on Tuesday night. He worked 6.1 scoreless innings before allowing a solo homer and departing one out later. Rasner served up only three hits, but he settled for a no-decision.

Our View: That's two straight pretty good outings for Rasner, which means he has probably earned himself one more start.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesWednesday 8/13, 3:35 PM CT
Darrell Rasner allowed two earned runs on four hits over five innings in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Twins, with one walk and four strikeouts.

Our View: He pitched well, but was dealt his ninth loss of the season due to poor run support. Rasner only has one win in his last seven outings, and has allowed four or more earned runs three times over the span. Rasner is only worth keeping in larger AL-only leagues for depth.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesSaturday 7/12, 3:32 PM CT
Darrell Rasner allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits over five innings in Saturday's 9-4 win over Toronto, with one walk and six strikeouts.

Our View: Rasner improves to 5-7 over 12 starts. He tied a season-high in strikeouts with six, and snapped a three-game losing streak.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesFriday 7/4, 5:50 PM CT
Darrell Rasner was lit up for six earned runs on 10 hits over five innings in Friday's 6-4 loss to the rival Red Sox, with three walks and two strikeouts. Mike Lowell took him deep for a three-run homer.

Our View: Rasner is 4-7, and has lost three-straight decisions. He is best left on your bench.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesSunday 6/29, 3:28 PM CT
Darrell Rasner allowed two earned runs on eight hits over five innings in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Mets, with three walks and three strikeouts.

Our View: He falls to 4-6 over 10 starts, with a 4.42 ERA. He has now lost six of his last seven games.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesTuesday 6/24, 8:46 PM CT
Darrell Rasner was thrashed by the Pirates tonight. He gave up seven runs in five innings.

Our View: The rookie has now given up 22 runs in 27 innnings this month.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesFriday 6/6, 9:56 PM CT
Darrell Rasner was a tough luck loser Friday, allowing just two runs on nine hits while striking out four over eight innings in a 2-1 loss to Kansas City.

Our View: Rasner has been terrific in five of six starts for the Yanks, as he's making a case to stay in the rotation permanently.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesSunday 6/1, 4:38 PM CT
Darrell Rasner suffered his second straight loss as the Minnesota Twins beat the Yankees 6-1 on Sunday afternoon. The Yankees' right-hander allowed four runs on eight hits, walked two and struck out eight over 5.1 innings of work.

Our View: Rasner is a serviceable arm for the Yankees, and will be an important part of the rotation if New York is to challenge for postseason play. But that's as far as it goes. In the fantasy realm he's a back-end rotation option in AL-only formats.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesMonday 5/26, 3:41 PM CT
Darrell Rasner suffered his first loss of the season on Monday, as the Yankees fell to the Orioles 6-1. Rasner still had a quality start as he only allowed one run on five hits over six innings, with one walk and three strikeouts. The lone run surrendered came on a Nick Markakis homer.

Our View: Heading into today's game, Rasner was 3-0 over three starts, with a 1.89 ERA and 0.84 WHIP. He has been the Yankees' best starter in May, and could have won today if not for poor run support.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesWednesday 5/21, 9:44 PM CT
Darrell Rasner was great in his first two starts for the Yanks. He was even better in his third. The righty tossed seven shutout innings Wednesday, allowing just five hits and a walk with six strikeouts.

Our View: The Yankees skipped Rasner his last time out, but we have a feeling they may not do that anymore. He's been the team's best starter this month.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesFriday 5/16, 7:10 PM CT
Darrell Rasner will be skipped in the rotation, according to the AP. Rasner was scheduled to start tonight against the Mets, but the game was postponed due to rain. Andy Pettitte will start on Saturday and Chien-Ming Wang will go on Sunday.

Our View: Manager Joe Girardi was going to keep his pitchers in order, but ultimately decided to change his mind by skipping over Rasner.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesSaturday 5/10, 6:16 PM CT
New York RHP Darrell Rasner is becoming an arm of faith for the Yankees, picking up his 2nd win of the season in a 5-2 win over the Detroit Tigers. Rasner pitched six innings, allowing two runs (both earned) on four hits with one walk and one strike out.

Our View: That's two wins on two starts thus far for Rasner, a desperately-needed effort from a starting pitcher that appears to be on his way towards a continued presence in the rotation.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesSaturday 5/10, 2:45 PM CT
Darrell Rasner is set for his second start of the season against the Tigers today, according to MLB.com.

Our View: Rasner had a strong season debut (against Seattle) as he only allowed two runs on five hits over six innings, with no walks and four strikeouts. He will look to prove that his success in his first start was not a fluke. He has a chance to stick with the Yankees, and he noted that he intends to take advantage of it. Start him if you have him, despite a tough match-up against Detroit at Comerica Park.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesMonday 5/5, 4:35 PM CT
Let's keep Darrell Rasner's start on Sunday in perspective. If the organization believed he could be this good, he would've been with the team at the start of April. His next start, against the Tigers on Saturday, will offer a more definitive indicator of what owners can expect from the Yankees' new No. 5 starter.

Our View: For now the right-hander is only viable in AL-only leagues. In 5 starts with Triple-A Scranton, Rasner was 4-0 with a 0.87 ERA, 0.77 WHIP, .170 batting average against with a K Rate of 7.84. His ground ball to fly ball ratio was more than acceptable at 1.25, but these numbers have never translated to the next level for the Yankees righty. Keeping emotions in check concerning Rasner is advisable.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesSunday 5/4, 3:54 PM CT
Darrell Rasner nailed down the win in his first start of the season against Seattle on Sunday, as he only allowed two runs on five hits over six innings, with no walks and four strikeouts. Most of the damage came off a two-run homer by Adrian Beltre.

Our View: Rasner is worth targeting, as he could stick around in the rotation if he continues to pitch well, following Ian Kennedy's demotion. Rasner has a good arm and will be a hot waiver wire target this week.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesSunday 5/4, 11:30 AM CT
Darrell Rasner has been recalled from Triple-A Scranton to start today's game against Seattle, according to the AP. The struggling Ian Kennedy has been optioned to Triple-A Scranton.

Our View: Rasner went 4-0 with a 0.87 ERA in five starts for Scranton. The righty also held a 1-3 record with a 4.01 ERA in six starts with New York last season. Rasner is not a top pitching prospect like Phil Hughes or Joba Chamberlain, but he has a good arm and will get his chance to prove his worth, starting today. He is worth a look if you need help at pitcher.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesThursday 5/1, 12:31 PM CT
Darrell Rasner will be called up from Triple-A Scranton, according to the NY Daily News. He is expected to take over Phil Hughes’ spot in the rotation on Sunday against the Mariners.

Our View: Rasner is not a top pitching prospect like Hughes, Joba Chamberlain, or Ian Kennedy, but he has a good arm and will get his chance to prove his worth, starting this Sunday. He will fill in while Phil Hughes nurses his strained oblique on the DL, and is worth a look if you need help at pitcher, namely if you lost Hughes.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesMonday 4/21, 11:05 PM CT
Darrell Rasner allowed only two hits in eight scoreless innings for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Monday, walking one and striking out five.

Our View: Rasner has a 0.72 ERA this season, making him a prime candidate for a call-up. He did a fair job in six starts with the Yankees last season and could get another chance to start this season if the back of New York’s rotation continues to struggle.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesSunday 5/20, 10:52 AM CT
Darrell Rasner could miss the next three months due to a finger injury sustained on Saturday. He was hit on his right index finger by a line drive, breaking the digit, according to the New York Daily News. A hand specialist recommended surgery to repair the damage. It'll be interesting to see if the latest injury to a Yankee pitcher will speed up the return of Roger Clemens, but you can count Rasner out of the picture for several months.

Darrell Rasner was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre by the Yankees prior to Friday's game.

Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesThursday 4/5, 9:20 AM CT
Darrell Rasner will make his first start of the season on Sunday against the Orioles, according to Newsday. Manager Joe Torre could have skipped Rasner and used Carl Pavano on Sunday, but he decided not to. "We brought him [Rasner] here for this reason, to use him," Torre said.

Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesWednesday 3/28, 11:40 PM CT
Darrell Rasner was touched for nine hits and seven runs in a rocky 4 2/3 innings against the Astros Wednesday. Rasner is in the running for the final rotation spot with the Yankees, though this outing certainly didn't make a strong impression. To make matters worse, Rasner was facing a makeshift Houston lineup that was without a handful of regulars, including Carlos Lee and Lance Berkman.
Darrell Rasner, P, New York YankeesFriday 9/1, 8:18 AM CT
The Yankees intend to activate Darrell Rasner from the disabled list to start Sunday's game, according to the New York Daily News. He's been on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Columbus while recovering from a sore pitching shoulder.
