Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSunday 3/7, 6:24 PM CT
Stephen Drew went 2-for-3 on Sunday with a double, three-run homer and a pair of runs scored.

Our View: Drew was a big fantasy disappointment last season, especially for owners who paid high expecting a breakout season. No telling if this will be the year he lives up to his potential, but a nice start this spring certainly won't hurt. He's currently hitting at a .625 clip.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksTuesday 1/19, 2:01 PM CT
The Diamondbacks and Stephen Drew have avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $3.4 million deal, according to Sports Illustrated's Jon Heyman.

Our View: Drew had a down season last year after showing great strides toward becoming an potential star in 2008. He could make for a decent sleeper heading into this year as long as he can stay healthy.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksWednesday 9/30, 11:56 PM CT
Stephen Drew was the only Diamondback with more than one hit on Wednesday night, as Brad Penny tossed a one-run complete game in a 4-1 Giants win.

Our View: Drew is batting just .240 in September. A fitting end to a disappointing season that has seen him hit only .258 in 131 games.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSaturday 9/26, 3:37 PM CT
Stephen Drew could be shopped by Arizona this offseason in an effort to boost the pitching staff, according to USA Today's Bob Nightengale.

Our View: Drew hasn't had the best season in 2009 but is still a very talented 26-year-old shortstop. Nightengale listed the Red Sox as a potential suitor, and you can bet there would be a few more, so it will come down to the Diamondbacks' asking price as to whether or not he ends up getting moved.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksFriday 9/4, 12:27 AM CT
Stephen Drew went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored, and an RBI in the D-Backs' 4-2 loss to the Dodgers on Thursday.

Our View: Drew has 12 homers on the season, and while this year has been a bit of a disappointment, he will look to finish strong. His average is at .262, and he may still be worth a look if you are desperate for a shortstop.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSunday 8/23, 11:58 AM CT
Stephen Drew will miss his second consecutive game on Sunday to be with his pregnant wife, according to USA Today.

Our View: Doesn't he know he has fantasy baseball players that are depending on him! In all truthfulness, we extend our congratulations to Stephen and his family. He will be back with the team "in a couple of days," according to manager A.J. Hinch.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSaturday 8/22, 4:41 PM CT
Stephen Drew will not start for the Diamondbacks on Saturday night. He will be replaced at shortstop by Augie Ojeda.

Our View: Drew has started to show some power as of late, but he is still having trouble hitting consistently. His average is at .262, and he is still worth owning in most leagues.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksTuesday 8/18, 10:19 PM CT
Stephen Drew accounted for Arizona's only run in their 5-1 loss to the Phillies courtesy of a solo shot in the first inning.

Our View: Drew has four homers this month, but is hitting just over .200. The power surge is nice, but the D-Backs need him on base much more often.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSunday 8/16, 8:52 PM CT
Stephen Drew went 1-for-4 with a triple and an RBI in Sunday's 9-3 loss to the Dodgers.

Our View: Drew looked to be turning his season around in July (.323), but has struggled mightily in August hitting just .203 for the month.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksWednesday 8/12, 11:59 AM CT
Stephen Drew is getting the afternoon off on Wednesday. Augie Ojeda will get the nod at shortstop today.

Our View: Drew has really come on since being moved to the leadoff position, and he should be a solid play moving forward. Many thought this was going to be a great season for Drew, but he isn't living up to the expectations, even though he has been better lately.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksFriday 8/7, 9:24 PM CT
Stephen Drew stayed hot in the Diamondbacks leadoff spot on Friday, going 1-for-4 with a home run and four RBI, but it wasn't enough, as the Snakes lost to the Nats 7-6 in Washington D.C.

Our View: Drew has been a different player in the leadoff spot, and is a great bet going forward even though the D-Backs are firmly out of it.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksWednesday 8/5, 9:22 PM CT
Stephen Drew went only 1-for-5 on Wednesday, but his one hit drove in the game winning runs in the eighth, as the Diamondbacks beat Pittsburgh 4-3 on the road.

Our View: Drew has revived his season since moving into the D-Backs' leadoff spot, and is currently hitting .272 after batting just .248 on July 1.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksTuesday 7/21, 11:03 PM CT
Stephen Drew helped the Diamondbacks squeak by the Rockies 6-5 on Tuesday, going 4-for-4 with two runs and an RBI from the leadoff spot.

Our View: Since taking over the leadoff spot for the recently traded Felipe Lopez on Monday, Drew has gone a sizzling 6-for-9, driven in four runs, scored four runs and hit a home run. The move has woken up his bat, and his production is slowly climbing toward the level it was at in 2008. Buy low while you still have a chance.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSunday 7/12, 9:30 PM CT
Stephen Drew provided pretty much all of the offense Arizona could muster against Josh Johnson and the Marlins on Sunday. He was 3-for-5 and drove in the only run in their 8-1 loss.

Our View: Since June 1st Drew has really turned his season around. He's hitting .333 this month and has tacked on two doubles, three triples and a homer as well. He seems primed for a big second half.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSaturday 7/4, 11:16 PM CT
Stephen Drew went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs on Saturday as the Diamondbacks outslugged the Rockies 9-6 in Denver.

Our View: Drew raised his average eight points to .251 on the night, and now has six home runs and 33 RBIs during his injury-shortened season. He should continue to improve his numbers, and is a solid option at shortstop.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSaturday 6/27, 12:18 AM CT
Stephen Drew went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer off Jered Weaver in tonight's 12-3 loss to the Angels at Chase Field.

Our View: Drew ended a nine-game drought without a homer, and has three in June. He has 15 RBI with a .308 batting average this month as well.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksWednesday 6/17, 11:13 PM CT
Stephen Drew went 2-for-6 with a triple, a double, three RBI, and two runs scored in Arizona's 12-5 win over Zach Greinke and the Royals.

Our View: 11 of Drew's 20 hits this month have been for extra bases. He's also hitting .323 in June after hitting a mere .200 in April and .215 in May. The kid is showing you can't keep stud talent down long and he should remain a fantasy force for the remainder of the season.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksThursday 6/11, 5:55 PM CT
Stephen Drew had his 14-game hitting streak snapped on Thursday, as he went 0-for-3 with a walk in the Diamondbacks 2-1 victory over the Giants.

Our View: After getting off to a slow stat that included a DL stint this season, Drew has rebounded and rounded into his 2008 form that prompted many fantasy owners to draft him high this year. He should be a solid option at shortstop going forward the rest of 2009.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksThursday 6/11, 12:16 AM CT
Stephen Drew was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI as Arizona fell 6-4 to the Giants on Wednesday.

Our View: Drew has a 14-game hitting streak and he has 19 hits in that stretch. He appears to be getting comfortable in the cleanup spot and should start living up to his high fantasy expectations.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksWednesday 6/10, 12:47 AM CT
Stephen Drew went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's 9-4 loss to the Giants at Chase Field.

Our View: Drew ended a 21-game drought without a homer, and only has three for the season.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSunday 6/7, 9:32 PM CT
Stephen Drew was 4-for-8 with a walk and a run scored in Arizona's marathon 18-inning win over the Padres on Sunday.

Our View: Drew has his average up to .248 and holds an 11-game hitting streak. His average is up from .190 over that span and he appears to be putting it all together... finally.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksTuesday 6/2, 12:32 AM CT
Stephen Drew went 2-for-4 with a single and a double in Monday's 3-2 win at Los Angeles.

Our View: Drew extended his hitting streak to seven games, with nine hits over the span. He is off to a good start in June after only hitting .215 in May.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksFriday 5/15, 10:16 PM CT
Stephen Drew hit his second home run of the season on Friday in the Diamondbacks' 4-3 loss to the Braves. Drew was 2-for-4 on the game with a run and an RBI.

Our View: Drew homered to tie the game in the ninth, but the D-Backs turned around and lost the game in the bottom. Hopefully this is the start of Drew getting back to where many expected him to be this season: an elite fantasy shortstop. Only time will tell.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksWednesday 5/13, 2:37 PM CT
Stephen Drew is expected to start at shortstop in tonight's game against the Reds at Chase Field, according to the Arizona Republic. He was activated from the DL Tuesday following his recovery from a hamstring ailment.

Our View: Drew has the skills to be an elite fantasy shortstop, but was only hitting .205 with one homer over 44 at-bats prior to landing on the DL. Perhaps he will start to find his swing soon and get on the right track.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksTuesday 5/12, 7:12 PM CT
According to the East Valley Tribune, the Diamondbacks have activated shortstop Stephen Drew Tuesday from the disabled list.

Our View: Drew has been a fantasy disappointment this season. Before landing on the DL in late April with a hamstring injury he was hitting just .205 with one home run and five RBI. Hopefully the promising young hitter puts it together now that he's healthy or he'll wind up being one of the biggest fantasy busts of the year.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksMonday 5/11, 11:17 AM CT
Stephen Drew (strained left hamstring) went 1-for-5 with a triple in the first game of his rehab assignment with Triple-A Reno, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: Manager A.J. Hinch indicated that Drew could be activated from the DL during Arizona's homestand, which ends Wednesday against the Reds.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSaturday 5/9, 8:14 PM CT
According to the Arizona Republic, Stephen Drew was sent to Triple-A to start a rehab assignment as he recovers from a hamstring injury.

Our View: Drew has been out since April 25th and isn't quite ready to return. He'll play several games in the minors until he's up to snuff and is scheduled to rejoin the team next Wednesday.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksFriday 5/8, 1:47 PM CT
Bob Melvin has been fired as the Diamondbacks' manager following a disappointing 12-17 start, according to the Arizona Daily Star. GM Josh Byrnes said, "This is a difficult decision, but I feel that our organization needs to move forward with a new voice."

Our View: A.J. Hinch is expected to replace Melvin. The 34-year-old was working as the vice president for player development. This will mark Hinch's first job as a professional manager.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksTuesday 5/5, 11:18 AM CT
Stephen Drew took grounders during batting practice Monday and could return to action in a little over a week, according to MLB.com. Manager Bob Melvin said he expected Drew, who is coming back from a hamstring injury, to start a rehab stint Thursday in extended spring training, and after that to move to Triple-A Reno for a few rehab games. "If that's the case, we're probably looking latter part of the homestand," Melvin said.

Our View: The D'Backs could use Drew's bat back in the lineup, because their offense has been sputtering big time.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksFriday 5/1, 9:39 AM CT
Stephen Drew took batting practice Thursday for the first time since landing on the DL with a strained hamstring, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: Drew could return to Arizona at some point in mid-May. Hopefully he will find his swing when he comes back, as he was only hitting .205 (one homer) over 44 at-bats prior to going down.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSunday 4/26, 3:08 PM CT
As expected, the Diamondbacks have placed shortstop Stephen Drew on the 15-day disabled list due to a sore left hamstring.

Our View: The Diamondbacks have the option of using Felipe Lopez, Josh Wilson, or Augie Ojeda at short for the next two weeks. We expect Ojeda to benefit the most from this injury, but he is no more than a short-term NL-only grab.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSunday 4/26, 12:18 AM CT
MLB.com, via Twitter, reports that Stephen Drew will indeed be placed on the 15-day DL. Drew's left hamstring has been an issue dating back to April 17.

Our View: This is probably best for Drew as hamstrings typically don't get better without significant rest. Hopefully his injury has been caught early enough that 15 days is all that he will need to get back to 100 percent.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSaturday 4/25, 5:29 PM CT
The Arizona Republic reports that Stephen Drew is out of Saturday's lineup with a sore hamstring. Manager Bob Melvin says that the shortstop could land on the DL.

Our View: Drew injured his hamstring back on April 17 and then re-injured on Friday on a play up the middle. Hopefully he can avoid the DL, but that may be the only way to get his hamstring enough rest to fully recover.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksWednesday 4/22, 6:22 PM CT
Stephen Drew was back in action for the Diamondbacks on Wednesday after missing the previous five days with a hamstring injury. He finished the game 0-for-4 with three strike outs.

Our View: Clearly Drew accumulated some rust while he was out of the lineup. He should be able to shake it off soon and resume his role as one of the better offensive shortstops in the game.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksWednesday 4/22, 11:16 AM CT
Stephen Drew was held out of Tuesday's lineup to be safe, but may get the green light to return to the diamond today against the Rockies at Chase Field, according to the Arizona Republic. He has been dealing with hamstring tightness.

Our View: Today's game is scheduled to start at 3:40 pm ET. We will keep you posted on Drew's status.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksTuesday 4/21, 7:37 PM CT
MLB.com reports that Stephen Drew was out of the Diamondbacks lineup again on Tuesday, but he should be back for Wednesday's game. He is dealing with a tight hamstring.

Our View: Drew doesn't have the reputation of his older brother, so we'll believe the report that he'll play tomorrow. One of the game's better shortstops, Drew has gotten off to a slow start this season.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksTuesday 4/21, 9:20 AM CT
Stephen Drew was available to pinch hit Monday night, according to the Arizona Republic. Drew has been out since Friday with tightness in his left hamstring. He is expected back at some point in the next two or three days.

Our View: Drew has struggled to start the season, but he still projects to be an upper-level shortstop option this season. After his breakout year in 2008, the fantasy community is expecting quite a bit from Drew. Don't give up on him.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSunday 4/19, 12:45 PM CT
Stephen Drew will miss his second straight game with tightness in his right hamstring and is also expected to sit Monday, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: Drew has not gotten off to too hot of a start and now has problems with his hamstring to boot, although it seems like he could be back by Tuesday or Wednesday. It'd be best not to sell low on him, as the young shortstop is sure to get things going at the plate eventually.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSaturday 4/18, 1:35 PM CT
Stephen Drew is day-to-day while dealing with right hamstring tightness, according to TSN.

Our View: Drew is uncertain for tonight's game at San Francisco. We will keep you posted on his status.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksMonday 4/13, 9:15 AM CT
Stephen Drew has a good track record versus tonight's opposing hurler Todd Wellemeyer of St. Louis, according to the Arizona Republic. Drew is 4-for-6 with a home run against Wellemeyer.

Our View: Drew has four hits (one homer) over the first six games of the season. Keep him active in fantasy lineups for tonight's game at Chase Field.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksThursday 3/26, 10:09 AM CT
The Arizona Republic reports that Diamondbacks shortstop Stephen Drew will visit the team doctor on Thursday to get his abdominal strain looked at.

Our View: Drew has been out since Saturday, and he could be back by the end of the week, so the injury should not be of concern to fantasy owners at this point.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksMonday 3/23, 10:40 AM CT
Stephen Drew exited Saturday's game with a groin/abdomen injury, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: Drew was not slated to play Sunday, and may get Tuesday off as well. If healthy, Drew would be worth targeting as a top-5 fantasy shortstop. He won't offer speed like those ranked higher at the position, but he has solid power and should hit a nice average.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksMonday 3/2, 12:31 AM CT
Stephen Drew recorded a double on Sunday with an RBI and a run. It wasn't all good for him though, as he struck out in his other two at-bats.

Our View: Drew showed some pop in 2008, collecting 21 home runs and 11 triples. He'll be more valuable in leagues that use slugging percentage and total bases due to this fact, as long as he keeps it up in 2009.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSaturday 9/27, 10:32 PM CT
Stephen Drew was 2-for-4 on Saturday night with two RBI in the Diamondbacks' 6-4 win.

Our View: Drew is quietly put together a great year at short. Drew has hit 21 home runs and had driven in 67 RBI. The season he has put together will put him the top 10 for shortstops next year.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksMonday 9/22, 10:51 PM CT
Stephen Drew socked his 20th home run of the year on Monday night on his way to a 3-for-4 effort in which he scored twice and knocked in two runs.

Our View: Drew is now hitting .290 with 20 home runs, 64 RBI and 89 runs scored. In case you hadn't noticed yet, those numbers will lead to Drew being a possible top-10 selection next season at the shortstop position.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSaturday 9/20, 11:19 PM CT
Stephen Drew went 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Rockies. He hit a double and a two-run homer.

Our View: Drew now has 40 doubles, 11 triples, 19 homers, and 85 runs scored this season. He has eight games left to chase his 20th homer, and should remain active in all fantasy lineups.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksWednesday 9/17, 11:33 PM CT
Stephen Drew had a four-hit night against the Giants on Wednesday night to help the Diamondbacks to a 7-6 win over the Giants.

Our View: This was Drew's third four-hit game of the 2008 season. Drew is hitting .321 since the All-Star break and he has obviously not been part of the Diamondbacks offensive skid.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksMonday 9/15, 9:40 AM CT
Stephen Drew was not available Sunday as he left the team to deal with the death of his grandmother, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: He returned home to Georgia, and the team indicated he is also expected to miss Monday's game. He should return in time for Tuesday night's game against the Cardinals.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksTuesday 9/9, 1:25 PM CT
Stephen Drew is only three doubles away from becoming the fifth shortstop in NL history with 40 doubles, 10 triples and 10 homers in the same season, according to the East Valley Tribune. He would join Arky Vaughn (Pittsburgh, 1934), Jimmy Rollins (Philadelphia, 2004), Jack Wilson (Pittsburgh, 2004) and Hanley Ramirez (Florida, 2006).

Our View: Drew has been hot over the second half of the season and shouldn't slow down when fantasy owners need him the most in September.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksMonday 9/1, 9:42 PM CT
Stephen Drew hit for the cycle for the first time on Monday as he went 5-for-5 with three runs scored and an RBI on his home run, his 16th of the year.

Our View: Drew has been blistering since the All-Star Break with a .339 batting average that has pushed him to .289 overall. Drew is also four home runs short of 20 on the year, and despite all the offense in the game, you simply cannot overlook a shortstop who hits .285 with 20 taters.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSunday 8/24, 6:12 PM CT
The Diamondbacks Stephen Drew hit his 15th home run of the season in the first inning of Arizona's 5-2 loss to Florida. The young shortstop was 2-for-4 on the day.

Our View: Though his plate discipline needs to get better so his OBP goes up, fantasy owners have to be pleased with Drew's overall season.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksThursday 8/21, 8:23 AM CT
Stephen Drew returned to the D-Backs' lineup Wednesday after sitting out Tuesday with a sore groin, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: Drew has been hitting well since July, and should remain penciled into fantasy lineups.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksWednesday 8/20, 8:09 AM CT
Stephen Drew sat out Tuesday's game due to a sore left groin, according to the Arizona Republic. He was replaced in the starting lineup by Augie Ojeda.

Our View: Manager Bob Melvin believes Drew should be able to play Wednesday.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksThursday 8/14, 5:02 PM CT
Diamondbacks shortstop Stephen Drew went 2-for-5 with a run scored and extended his hitting streak to 16 games in his team's 6-2 win over Colorado.

Our View: Drew is hitting .352 (25-for-71) during the streak, which started on July 29.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksWednesday 8/13, 11:01 PM CT
Stephen Drew went 2-for-5 as Arizona's leadoff hitter, scoring a run and picking up an RBI while hitting his 30th double of the year in his squad's 6-5 loss to the Rockies.

Our View: Drew is definitely a guy you can put on fantasy teams, especially if he can just bump that average up a smidgen. However, the real payoff may come next year if Drew makes the leap into the elite class that many believe he is capable of.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksFriday 8/8, 11:57 PM CT
Stephen Drew had two hits on Friday night, one of them being a solo home run, his 14th blast of the year.

Our View: Drew is batting .395 over his last 38 AB to boost his average to .279. Drew has established himself as a nightly threat at the plate, and seems primed to take the next step in '09 considering his across the board growth this season.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSunday 8/3, 9:11 PM CT
Stephen Drew, batting in the leadoff role, went 3-for-5 with a run and two RBI for the D'backs on Sunday.

Our View: One of the hits was the 13th home run of the year for the shortstop, a new career best, and he is also just six runs away from tying his runs scored mark of 60 from last season. He hasn't broken out this season like some had hoped, but he has shown substantial improvement across the board other than a regression in walks (60 last year, down to 24 this season).
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksThursday 7/31, 11:39 PM CT
Arizona shortstop Stephen Drew went 3-for-4 in Arizona's 2-1 win over the Dodgers. J.D.'s brother had two singles and a double.

Our View: Drew hit .311 during July and raised his batting average almost 20 points, from .256 on July 1 to .273 now. He still needs to improve on his on-base percentage dramatically, but he is a good option for fantasy play, especially in NL-only leagues.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSaturday 7/26, 11:05 PM CT
The 11-game hitting streak that Stephen Drew was in the midst of came to an end with a bad performance against the Giants. Drew went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in the Arizona win.

Our View: Drew has raised his fantasy stock with this streak, but his plate discipline still needs to improve, as an on-base percentage under .310 is not good enough for fantasy owners.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSunday 7/20, 8:02 PM CT
The Diamondbacks were all over the Dodgers today until the relief pitching gave up the win in the ninth, losing 6-5 to LA. Arizona's charge on offense was led by shortstop Stephen Drew , going 4-for-5 with his sixth triple of the year to post one RBI and one run scored.

Our View: Drew has turned it on this month, hitting .323 through July. He needs to find better run production (just six RBIs through July) and better efficiency (.364 OBP) to make fantasy owners happy, but he's improving.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSunday 6/29, 3:15 PM CT
Stephen Drew went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Sunday's 4-3 loss to Florida.

Our View: That was his 11th homer of the season, and his first since June 18. He hasn't registered an RBI since that date either.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksWednesday 6/18, 11:30 PM CT
The Diamondbacks brougth plenty of bats to the party, beating Oakland 11-1 this evening, though shortstop Stephen Drew found his bat rang a bit louder than others. Drew went 3-for-5 with his 14th double and his 10th home run of the season, gathering two RBIs and two runs scored on the night.

Our View: Drew has found difficult times at the plate this month, hitting just .241 through June with two homers and four RBIs before tonight. This may jump start his swing and get him back to the numbers we know he can produce.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksTuesday 6/10, 10:50 PM CT
Four different players, all hitting in consecutive order, racked up two RBIs in tonight's 9-5 win over the Mets for Arizona, but shortstop Stephen Drew tops the cause. Drew went 2-for-5 with his ninth home run of the season to knock in those two runs, adding two runs scored along the way.

Our View: Drew isn't hitting a ton but he's putting the bat on the ball, touting just five strikeouts versus six hits through June.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksFriday 5/16, 12:04 AM CT
Stephen Drew continued to boost his average hitting from the second hole in the order as he banged out four hits to finish at .295.

Our View: Drew seems to have found a home at the top of the order, and he isn't likely to give it back to Eric Byrnes when he returns to the lineup.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksTuesday 5/13, 11:38 PM CT
Stephen Drew went deep for the fifth time this season as he had two hits, two runs and three RBI for the B'backs from the second spot in the order on Tuesday night.

Our View: Drew seems to be easing into the season, but he may have found a home in the two hole in the order where he is batting .310 in 20 AB. If he continues to hit at the top of the order, his value will obviously receive a boost.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksTuesday 5/6, 11:51 PM CT
Arizona SS Stephen Drew carried the load on offense for the Diamondbacks this evening in the team's 6-4 win over Philadelphia. Drew went 2-for-4, hitting his fourth home run of the season to total three RBIs on the evening.

Our View: Drew hasn't been swinging the hottest of bats this season, but he is now 4-for-9 over his last two.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSunday 4/13, 7:45 PM CT
Stephen Drew went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs, and an RBI on Sunday against the Rockies. His average bumped up to .317, thanks in large part to three multi-hit games out of his last four.

Our View: Drew was a disappointment in 2007, but the 25-year-old shortstop is loaded with talent. It wouldn't be surprising if his numbers took a sizable leap this year.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksWednesday 4/9, 12:40 PM CT
Stephen Drew has a right quadriceps muscle injury, which may just be a bruise, according to MLB.com. Manager Melvin commented, "He got hit a couple of times, a short hop in Colorado hit him on the thigh. I think it's more of a bruise than a pull, but sometimes that can be tough for a player to differentiate." Drew was in the starting lineup Tuesday, but will likely get Wednesday off. Adjust your lineups accordingly.
Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksWednesday 3/5, 3:31 PM CT
Stephen Drew did not play on Wednesday due to the flu, the Arizona Republic reports.
