Gary Majewski, P, Philadelphia PhilliesTuesday 12/23, 3:10 PM CT
Gary Majewski has agreed to a minor league deal worth $650,000 with the Phillies, according to the Denver Post.

Our View: Majewski will be hard-pressed to make the Phillies' bullpen out of spring training as he held a terrible 1.90 WHIP over 40 innings with the Reds in 2008.

Relievers Gary Majewski and Matt Belisle will be looking for new places to call home after the Cincinnati Reds decided not to tender them contract offers, according to Reds.com.

Our View: Majewski was a key part of a trade that sent Austin Kearns and Felipe Lopez to Washington, and controversy followed as Majewski was apparently damaged goods after arriving. Either way, he was terrible last year, with a 6.52 ERA and 1.90 WHIP, and is not a fantasy contributor.

Gary Majewski was activated off the bereavement list on Saturday. He was temporarily away from the team following the birth of his daughter, Kaylee Jade, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Our View: Since when is a baby girl a source of bereavement? Anyway, Majewski is not worth using in fantasy leagues.

Gary Majewski has been placed on the bereavement list, according to the AP. The team did not disclose the reason for the move. To cover his spot on the roster while he is away, the team recalled lefty Dan Herrera from Triple-A Louisville.

Our View: Majewski was an effective setup man back in 2005, but his arm has declined since then and he held no fantasy value for this season. He allowed one run and three hits over 3.1 brief innings of action.

The Reds called up reliever Gary Majewski on Sunday, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Majewski was 2-1 with a 3.76 ERA over 22 appearances at Triple-A Louisville.

Our View: Majewski was a solid setup man back in 2005, but arm issues led to a quick demise. His minor league numbers suggest that fantasy owners should steer clear.

Gary Majewski has left his Triple-A team because his sister was killed in an ATV accident, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Aside from one bad outing that inflated his ERA to 6.55, his ERA would be 1.74 with Louisville. Reds GM Wayne Krivsky said he didn't know when Majewski might rejoin Louisville or the Reds.
