Scott Moore, 3B, Baltimore OriolesSaturday 5/23, 11:07 AM CT
Scott Moore will need to undergo surgery on his right thumb, according to the Baltimore Sun. He aggravated the thumb last week, which he fractured last season.

Our View: Moore could miss the remainder of the season following surgery. The 25-year-old infielder is a career .235 hitter in the majors, and was only providing organizational depth in the minors.
Scott Moore, 3B, Baltimore OriolesFriday 5/1, 11:28 PM CT
Scott Moore had a huge game for Triple-A Norfolk on Friday, going 3-for-5 with two homers, six RBI and four runs scored.

Our View: Moore failed to make the Orioles out of spring training, due in part to the Ty Wigginton signing. He now has five homers and is a candidate to fill a bench spot should the team have further injuries at the hot corner.
Scott Moore, 3B, Baltimore OriolesTuesday 3/31, 1:21 PM CT
Scott Moore has been reassigned to minor league camp by the Orioles, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Our View: Moore hit well in spring training, but still could not win a role as a backup infielder.
Scott Moore, 3B, Baltimore OriolesMonday 3/23, 3:21 PM CT
Scott Moore went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 8-7 loss to Minnesota.

Our View: He is hitting .317 in spring training, with three home runs. Moore has pop in his bat, but his fantasy value will be limited while serving as a reserve infielder.
Scott Moore, 3B, Baltimore OriolesThursday 3/19, 2:37 PM CT
Scott Moore had a tough day at the plate in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Nationals, as he went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.

Our View: Moore is still hitting .324 in spring action. Moore has some power, but may only see enough at-bats as a reserve infielder to use in deeper AL-only leagues.
Scott Moore, 3B, Baltimore OriolesTuesday 3/10, 2:56 PM CT
Scott Moore went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Tuesday's 5-1 win over Boston. He hit a single and a two-run homer, his second of spring training.

Our View: Moore is enjoying a solid spring, but he may not see enough at-bats as a reserve infielder to be useful in fantasy leagues this season.
Scott Moore, 3B, Baltimore OriolesTuesday 2/10, 3:18 PM CT
Scott Moore has been designated for assignment by the Orioles to make room for Ty Wigginton on the 40-man roster, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: The 25-year-old infielder is not expected to make much of an impact if he finds his way back to Baltimore in 2009.
Scott Moore, 3B, Baltimore OriolesSaturday 4/12, 8:38 AM CT
Scott Moore has been sent down to the minors, according to the AP. The team needed to make room for hurler Jim Johnson, who they called up from Triple-A.

Our View: Moore was only hitting .125 over eight at-bats, and was expendable.

Scott Moore hasn't started a game yet, but his time is coming. The utility infielder will start at third base on Tuesday, second base on Wednesday, and first base on Friday, according to the Baltimore Sun. His versatility will allow those regulars to get a day off.
Scott Moore, 3B, Baltimore OriolesMonday 3/31, 12:21 PM CT
Scott Moore has made the Orioles' roster, according to OrioleMagic.com. Moore is a utility man and the release of Gibbons opened up a spot for him. His upside is limited but he could have a few good outings here and there.

Scott Moore, 3B, Baltimore OriolesSunday 3/16, 7:23 AM CT
Scott Moore finally returned to action for Saturday's spring game after being sidelined since March 3 with a strained abdominal muscle, according to the Baltimore Sun. "I know that we wanted to take care of it so it was completely gone and didn't come back or get worse," he said. "I knew it was going to be awhile, but it feels like I've been out a month." Manager Dave Trembley said Moore's extended absence won't affect the utilityman's shot at making the team.

Scott Moore, 3B, Baltimore OriolesSaturday 3/1, 5:23 PM CT
Scott Moore hit a home run to deep right field on Saturday as the O's defeated the Nats 4-1. Moore added a two-run double on the day. Moore, who played in 19 September games last year had 12 hits in 52 at bats and while he registered only one home run, he did record 11 RBI. Moore is slated to back up Melvin Mora at third base this year, but this past week was taking grounders at second base. If Brian Roberts is traded like many believe he will, Moore becomes a viable fantasy option in AL-only formats.
Scott Moore, 3B, Baltimore OriolesTuesday 9/18, 10:06 AM CT
Scott Moore rolled his ankle against Toronto on Sunday and will likely miss a couple of games, according to the Baltimore Sun. Manager Dave Trembley said he'd still like to give Moore opportunities at first base and left field before the season is over, but that still doesn't mean Moore will have any fantasy value the rest of the way.
