Jack Hannahan, 3B, Seattle MarinersSunday 8/30, 12:06 AM CT
Jack Hannahan went 2-for-4 with a home run filling in for the injured Russell Branyan at first base on Saturday night, helping the Mariners to an 8-4 win over the Royals at home.

Our View: Hannahan's .219 average should dissuade you from using him as Branyan's replacement in your fantasy lineup, however.
Jack Hannahan, 3B, Seattle MarinersWednesday 7/29, 12:13 AM CT
Jack Hannahan went 3-for-4 with and RBI on Tuesday as the Mariners beat the Blue Jays by a score of 4-3. Hannahan is hitting .208 this season.

Our View: Hannahan now has 10 hits in 13 games for the M's, and he is starting to pick it up at the plate. He is still a very poor fantasy option, but he may be able to help the team if he keeps hitting.
Jack Hannahan, 3B, Seattle MarinersSaturday 7/11, 3:47 PM CT
Jack Hannahan has been acquired by the Mariners, according to CSN.

Our View: He will report to Double-A Midland. Hannahan was batting just .193 in 119 at-bats for the A's this season, and is not an option in any format.
Jack Hannahan, 3B, Seattle MarinersSaturday 5/30, 8:06 PM CT
Jack Hannahan was scratched from Saturday's lineup against Texas due to back spasms, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Gregorio Petit replaced him at third base. The A's are yet to update Hannahan's status.
Jack Hannahan, 3B, Seattle MarinersSaturday 4/25, 12:26 AM CT
Jack Hannahan hit his first home run of the season on Friday in a losing effort. He was 1-for-2 on the day, but the Rays topped the A's 8-2.

Our View: This was Hannahan's first start of the season and he blasted a home run. Not a bad start, but he'll have to produce consistently for a bit before he even makes a ripple in AL-only leagues.
Jack Hannahan, 3B, Seattle MarinersFriday 4/24, 3:54 PM CT
Jack Hannahan has been recalled by the Athletics from Triple-A Sacramento, according to the ContraCosta Times. The club optioned Sean Gallagher to Sacramento as the adjoining move.

Our View: Hannahan was batting .157 with two home runs and seven RBI over 13 games with Sacramento prior to his promotion, and hit .218 over 436 at-bats with the A's in 2008. The 29-year-old vet does not merit fantasy consideration outside of deeper AL-only leagues.

Jack Hannahan's injured ribcage could sideline him for the rest of the season, according to the Athletics Official Website. "Jack is out. It's an injury in the ribcage and he was very sore this morning," manager Bob Geren said. "He's definitely going to be out three or four days and possibly the rest of the season."

Our View: Hannahan is almost certainly done and he will finish with a terrible .218/.305/.342 line having not proven his ability to be a starter in this league. In his stead, the team will go with Donnie Murphy and Jeff Baisley who started on Sunday.

Oakland and Tampa Bay hooked it up this evening to battle with the A's emerging with a dominating 8-1 win, led by the bat of third baseman Jack Hannahan . Hannahan went 2-for-4 with his fifth homer of the season, posting four RBIs with one run scored on the night.

Our View: The team has stood by Hannahan despite struggles at the dish, hitting a lowly .189 last month. Through July he is paying them back with improved returns, hitting .268.

Jack Hannahan went 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs scored on Friday night.

Our View: That's all well-and-good, but the A's would really like to have Eric Chavez back. Hannahan is hitting just .223.

Oakland third baseman Jack Hannahan was involved in four of the six runs the A's scored today to put the Red Sox in the loss column, 6-3. Hannahan went 2-for-5 on the day, both singles, gathering two RBIs and two runs scored on the day.

Our View: Hannahan has struggled to provide the spark you'd hope to see from a leadoff hitter, now sitting at .239 for the month of May with just seven RBIs and 19 strikeouts.
Jack Hannahan, 3B, Seattle MarinersTuesday 3/25, 9:52 AM CT
Jack Hannahan started at third base in Oakland's season opener against Boston, and filled the injured Eric Chavez's shoes nicely as he went 2-for-4 with two RBI, which included a solo home run. He could be a favorable handcuff until you get Chavez back into your lineup.
Jack Hannahan, 3B, Seattle MarinersSunday 2/24, 9:22 AM CT
Jack Hannahan said the A's told him that this spring he'll work out at third base, shortstop, second base, first base and possibly even the outfield, according to the Contra Costa Times. "Anytime you can play a different position, it gives you the opportunity to make a team and to help a team," he said. The club wants to prepare him for a utility role, but with Donnie Murphy the presumptive primary backup infielder and Hannahan having minor league options remaining, he may not be able to earn a roster spot out of spring training.
