Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesThursday 3/11, 3:55 PM CT
Lastings Milledge went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI against the Rays on Thursday.

Our View: Seemingly perennially on the verge of a breakout season, Milledge can't be considered a great fantasy bet for 2010, but will receive starter's at-bats with the Bucs, and can at least be considered in the later rounds of mixed league drafts.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesThursday 9/24, 2:30 PM CT
Lastings Milledge's seventh inning solo home run would be all the Pirates could muster on Thursday, as they lost 4-1 to the Reds at home.

Our View: Milledge is now batting .312 with one home run and five RBI in 20 September games.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSunday 9/20, 3:34 PM CT
Lastings Milledge picked up three of the Pirates' eight hits on Sunday, as the Bucs lost 4-0 to the Padres at home.

Our View: Milledge has been a hot-hitter since the beginning of August, batting .301 with two home runs and 13 RBI. He could finally have a breakout season in 2010.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesFriday 9/18, 9:18 PM CT
Lastings Milledge fared well in tonight's 5-1 win over the Padres at PNC Park, as he went 2-for-3 with two singles and an RBI. He also swiped a base.

Our View: Milledge was in need of a solid performance, as he was 0-for-10 over his previous three games. He also ended a 20-game drought without a stolen base.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSaturday 9/5, 9:58 PM CT
Lastings Milledge went 2-for-4 with an RBI in tonight's 2-1 loss to St. Louis at PNC Park. He hit a single and a double.

Our View: The Pirates only had six hits in the game, and Milledge was their lone source of scoring. He raised his season average to .300, and has a five-game hitting streak.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesThursday 8/6, 10:49 PM CT
Lastings Milledge was 2-for-5 with a run, an RBI and a steal on Thursday, but the Pirates lost to Arizona 11-6 in 12 innings.

Our View: Milledge is still just 8-for-29 (with zero home runs) since joining the Pirates, however, and has some work to do before proving he's worth an own outside of NL-only leagues.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesTuesday 8/4, 12:29 PM CT
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that manager John Russell has been pleased with the attitude and behavior of Lastings Milledge, who has been labeled as controversial over the past couple years. "He's been great, very attentive, very vocal with his teammates in a good way... he's signing autographs, he's just very pleasant," Russell said. "I have absolutely seen nothing other than determination and drive on the field and working hard... He loves being here."

Our View: Since joining the Pirates, Milledge has been a regular starter and is hitting 5-for-17 (.294) with a double and four RBI. The talent is certainly there and he should be owned in all NL-only leagues.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesFriday 7/31, 8:47 PM CT
Lastings Milledge led the Pirates offensively in tonight's 5-4 win over the Nationals at PNC Park, as he went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Both of his knocks were singles.

Our View: Milledge started the game in left field, and awarded the Pirates with a solid outing. He is worth penciling into NL-only lineups as he is expected to see regular playing time.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesFriday 7/31, 4:24 PM CT
Lastings Milledge has been recalled by the Pirates from Triple-A Indianapolis, according to TSN.

Our View: Milledge has a nice combination of speed and power, and is expected to get regular playing time in the Pirates' outfield. He is worth scooping up as a flier in NL-only leagues if dangling on the waiver wire.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesThursday 7/30, 7:36 PM CT
Lastings Milledge will see regular playing when recalled from Triple-A Friday, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Our View: Milledge, Andrew McCutchen and Garrett Jones will be the three starting outfielders, with Brandon Moss the fourth option. Milledge has an exciting combo of speed and power, and is worth targeting as a flier for NL-only leagues.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesMonday 7/20, 9:56 AM CT
Lastings Milledge is hitting .448 in eight games with Triple-A Indianapolis since being traded to the Pirates organization, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Our View: He has apparently made some adjustments at the plate suggested by Pirates management, and GM Neal Huntington said he could be recalled soon. He could see some significant playing time in the Pirates outfield when he's called up, and should be watched closely in NL-only leagues.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesThursday 7/16, 4:36 PM CT
Lastings Milledge will rejoin Triple-A Indianapolis Thursday after playing with Single-A Lynchburg for three games to stay active during the International League's All-Star break, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Our View: There has still been no indication of when he might see time with the big club. He currently has no value outside of keeper leagues.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesThursday 7/9, 9:18 PM CT
Lastings Milledge will join Triple-A Indianapolis Friday after rehabbing with Bradenton of the Gulf Coast League, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He went 3-for-11 with two doubles during his stint with Bradenton.

Our View: Milledge is progressing fine from his broken right ring finger, despite some swelling. He could push for playing time in the Pirates' outfield, and shall remain stashed on fantasy rosters.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesTuesday 6/30, 2:12 PM CT
Lastings Milledge has been traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates along with reliever Joel Hanrahan in exchange for Nyjer Morgan and Sean Burnett, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Our View: Milledge has spent most of 2009 in Triple-A, but figures to get another chance in the big leagues immediately with the Pirates. He has underperformed so far in his major league career, but remains a candidate to have a breakout season, and is someone you should keep a close eye on, especially in deeper mixed and NL-only leagues.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesTuesday 5/12, 9:35 PM CT
Lastings Milledge had surgery on his broken finger on Tuesday and will be out 6-8 weeks, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Milledge injured the finger trying to bunt on Monday while with the Nationals' Triple-A club. Fantasy owners won't miss him as he was demoted for his poor play and attitude after just seven games this season.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesMonday 5/11, 3:31 PM CT
Lastings Milledge has sustained a broken ring finger on his right hand while laying down a bunt during action with Triple-A Syracuse, according to the Washington Post.

Our View: The Nationals stated that it is too soon to speculate his prognosis, or whether he will need to spend time on the minor league DL. He was demoted by the club as he was only hitting .167 over 24 at-bats, with 10 strikeouts.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesWednesday 5/6, 7:00 AM CT
Lastings Milledge said he has not kept in touch with the Nationals' front office or followed their progress since being demoted to Triple-A by the club April 14, according to the Washington Post.

Our View: Milledge is disappointed that he was sent to the minors, and has only kept in touch with teammates Elijah Dukes and Willie Harris. He struck out 10 times over 24 at-bats prior to his demotion.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesTuesday 4/14, 2:33 PM CT
Lastings Milledge has been optioned to Triple-A Syracuse by the Nationals, according to the Washington Post.

Our View: Milledge has loads of potential, but the club decided that he needed to work on his hitting in the minors as he struck out 10 times over 24 at-bats. Elijah Dukes will now start in center field, hence raising his fantasy stock.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesWednesday 3/25, 9:18 PM CT
Lastings Milledge was hitless in five at bats on Wednesday in the Nationals' 6-3 win over the Braves.

Our View: It is assumed that Milledge will be the starter in center field and will have some value in NL-only leagues. Will this be the year that he finally reaches his potential or will he once again be beaten out or stuck in a platoon?
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesMonday 3/16, 4:36 PM CT
Lastings Milledge went 3-for-4 with a double in Washington's 3-1 win over Florida on Monday. He is now hitting .290 in 31 spring at-bats.

Our View: Milledge is trying to hold onto his assumed starting job this spring. Defensively, he is the most qualified center fielder on the major league roster, but Austin Kearns and Josh Willingham are also trying to crack the starting mix. The 24-year-old has always possessed a load of potential, but he has failed to capitalize on it in the start of his career.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesThursday 3/5, 4:33 PM CT
Lastings Milledge trudged through another long day of his miserable preseason Thursday. He was 0-for-3 with a strikeout in a 10-2 loss to the Tigers and his spring average now stands at .091.

Our View: Milledge showed some promise last year and projects to be the every day center fielder in 2009, but this is not the start he was looking for. Many considered this year to be his breakout campaign, but keep a close eye on his spring production before you commit on draft day.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesThursday 2/19, 7:58 PM CT
Lastings Milledge is switching to uniform number 85 and giving his old number 44 to new teammate Adam Dunn, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: This is a nice gesture for a young player to make to a veteran guy. Milledge picked 85 because he was born in 1985.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesThursday 1/8, 5:41 PM CT
The Nationals have apparently decided that they will not sign any big ticket items this off-season and will pull out of the sweepstakes for Derek Lowe, Orlando Hudson and Adam Dunn, according to the Nationals Official Website.

Our View: This is a bit surprising since the team was believed to be one of the leaders for the services of Dunn. Perhaps the team realized what we all did, and that is that free agents just don't want to play with the Nationals. As a result of this decision, Nick Johnson will likely be the first baseman with Anderson Hernandez likely starting at second base.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesTuesday 9/23, 9:36 PM CT
Lastings Milledge went 3-for-4 with three RBI in the Nationals 9-4 win over the Marlins. He also stole his 24th base of the season.

Our View: Milledge pushed his RBI total to 60 for the year, and has hit well in September. He could be primed for a breakout 2009.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSaturday 9/20, 12:30 PM CT
The Washington Nationals are thinking about turning current center fielder Lastings Milledge into a right or left fielder next season, according to the Washington Post.

Our View: Milledge has struggled with taking routes to balls and other aspects of the difficult center field position. It will not affect fantasy owners much, except those that play in leagues that are position-specific.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesMonday 9/15, 9:04 PM CT
Lastings Milledge went 3-for-4 with a double, stolen base, and two runs against the Mets on Monday.

Our View: The light has clicked on for Milledge over the second half of this season. The 23-year-old outfielder is batting .300-7-25-28-9 over 47 games. His stock is rising as fantasy owners begin to look towards 2009.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSunday 9/14, 3:22 PM CT
Milledge had a huge game on Sunday, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs, two runs and two steals.

Our View: With 14 homers and 22 steals this season, Milledge owners can hardly complain about how their outfielder has produced this season.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesMonday 9/1, 7:43 PM CT
Lastings Milledge had only one hit on Monday but he still platted two runs on the afternoon while stealing his 20th base of the year.

Our View: Milledge has also produced 13 home runs so those who said he could be a poor man's version of Mike Cameron this year weren't too far off the mark. Over his last 36 outings he has 18 runs, 20 RBI, seven steals and a .299 average offering a lot of value.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesFriday 8/29, 11:09 PM CT
Lastings Milledge went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI in Friday's 7-3 win over the Braves. He hit a single and a double.

Our View: Milledge has five RBI over his last seven contests, and hopefully his hot hitting will carry over into September.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesWednesday 8/20, 8:38 PM CT
Lastings Milledge got on base twice, with a double and a walk, but the Nationals were still shut out by a score of 9-0.

Our View: Milledge continues his scorching August, and his batting average for the month now stands at .370. He would make a solid addition to NL-only fantasy squads.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSaturday 8/16, 9:51 PM CT
Lastings Milledge's bat looked good again on Saturday night. He went 3-for-4 with a double, one RBI, and two runs in a loss to the Rockies. He is hitting .371 with five homers and four steals in August.

Our View: If Milledge can continue to rake through the rest of this season, he'll shoot up draft boards for 2009. Lastings is still only 23 years old.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesThursday 8/14, 9:10 PM CT
Lastings Milledge saw his 14-game hitting streak come to an end on Thursday with an 0-for-3 performance in Washington's loss to the Mets.

Our View: Milledge saw his average rise over 20 points, from .237 to .258, during the streak. He clearly has a lot of talent and should be used in NL-only leagues, and deeper mixed leagues because he can offer power along with stolen bases.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesMonday 8/11, 7:46 PM CT
Lastings Milledge extended his hitting streak to 12-games on Monday as he went 1-for-3 along with his 16th stolen base of the season.

Our View: Milledge is up to .257 (he started the streak at .238), and now has more stolen bases than similar talents such as Delmon Young (12) and Mike Cameron (10).
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSunday 8/10, 5:56 PM CT
Lastings Milledge went 3-for-6 with a home run an two RBI in Washington's loss to the Brewers.

Our View: Milledge is now hitting .415 in August, and five of his fifteen hits on the month have been home runs. If you need a spark on your fantasy team, it won't hurt to take a look at Milledge.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesFriday 8/8, 10:29 PM CT
Lastings Milledge had two hits on Friday night and he also managed to steal his 15th base of the year for the Nationals.

Our View: Milledge is suddenly on fire with four home runs, seven RBI, seven runs and two SB in his last seven games. If he is on waivers, now is the time to make a move.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesThursday 8/7, 5:02 PM CT
Nationals outfielder Lastings Milledge continued his torrid August with a 3-for-4, two home run day in the team's 6-3 win over Colorado. Milledge collected four RBI on the afternoon.

Our View: Milledge is hitting .409 in August with four home runs in six games. It's doubtful he will keep this pace up much longer, but fantasy owners in search of lightning in a bottle may want to take a chance on him and see how far he can ride this thing out.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSunday 8/3, 3:19 PM CT
Lastings Milledge was the weapon of choice on offense today as the Nationals put the 4-2 win on the board against Cincinnati. Milledge went 1-for-2 at the plate with two walks, his 14th stolen base of the season and his ninth homer of the year, totaling one RBI and one run scored on the day.

Our View: Fantasy owners hope to see Milledge use this as a catalyst for improvement, having struggled with injury last month to miss the bulk of July, hitting just .130 in the 23 at-bats he did receive.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSaturday 8/2, 9:42 PM CT
Lastings Milledge went 1-for-3 with a solo homer in Saturday's 10-6 win over the Reds.

Our View: Milledge is starting to post better numbers, but still isn't worthy of starting lineups in anything but deeper NL-only leagues.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesFriday 7/25, 11:57 AM CT
Lastings Milledge, out since June 28 with a strained groin, will be activated off the 15-day disabled list and return to the starting lineup Friday night against the Los Angeles Dodgers, this according to the Washington Times.

Our View: Milledge went 2-for-17 with a homer and three RBI during a rehab stint with Triple-A Columbus.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesThursday 7/24, 7:06 PM CT
Lastings Milledge has been activated from the DL following his recovery from a right groin strain, according to the AP. Johnny Estrada has been designated for assignment to make room on the roster for Milledge.

Our View: Milledge possesses a solid combination of speed and power and could be worthy of NL-only league rosters if he can stay healthy over the second half of the season.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesThursday 7/24, 8:05 AM CT
MLB.com reports that Lastings Milledge , who has been on the disabled list since June 28 because of a right groin strain, was promoted to Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday after playing two games for Rookie-level Gulf Coast. Milledge was 1-for-4 with a home run for the GC Nationals and was 1-for-8 for the Clippers. He is expected to return to the Nationals on Friday.

Our View: At the very least, Milledge should be an every day outfielder for the Nats. He has shown glimpses of power but he is not consistent enough to warrant a pickup.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesWednesday 7/23, 10:36 PM CT
Lastings Milledge, on the DL since June 28th due to a strained right groin, might return to the Nationals lineup on the weekend, according to MLB.com. "He is doing well with no limitations," manager Manny Acta said. "He will be here sooner rather than later."

Our View: When Milledge returns, Willie Harris will move over from centerfield to leftfield as he is hitting .373-5-15 over his last 24 games.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSaturday 7/19, 7:22 PM CT
Lastings Milledge will begin a rehab assignment Sunday with the rookie Gulf Coast League, according to MLB.com. He has been on the disabled list since June 28 with a strained right groin. "He's running the bases, he's ready to start his rehab tomorrow," manager Manny Acta said.

Our View: The Nats gave no timetable for the outfielder's return, but one would think he could return in a week or so if all goes well.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSunday 6/29, 11:47 AM CT
Lastings Milledge has landed on the 15-day DL due to a strained right groin, according to the Sports Network. To fill his spot on the roster, the Nationals recalled outfielder Roger Bernadina from Double-A Harrisburg.

Our View: A timetable for his return is yet to be set. This is a tough loss for the Nationals, as Milledge has been hot with five hits, four RBI, and a homer over his last three games.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesFriday 6/27, 9:51 PM CT
Lastings Milledge went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Friday's 4-2 win over the Orioles in Washington. Both of his hits were singles.

Our View: Milledge has registered two hits in each of his last two contests, with three RBI over the span. Milledge is worth targeting if you can get him for a good price.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesWednesday 6/25, 9:16 PM CT
Lastings Milledge blasted his seventh home run of the season on Wednesday, a two run shot off of Ervin Santana.

Our View: Milledge is still hitting only .239 on the year, but with the Nats continuing to run him out there daily, Milledge would make a nice buy low candidate given his obvious talent.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSunday 6/15, 8:16 PM CT
Lastings Milledge went 3-for-4 with an RBI in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Mariners.

Our View: That was his fourth multi-hit game of June, but only has five RBI over 14 games in the month.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesTuesday 6/10, 11:38 PM CT
Washington outfielder Lastings Milledge was the rock for the Nationals yet again this evening, hitting a game-winning two-run homer off Pittsburgh closer Matt Capps in the top of the ninth to give the Nationals the 7-6 win.

Our View: Milledge went 2-for-5 overall with the two runs on the homer serving as his only RBIs. Milledge is riding a five-game hit streak, going 7-for-19 with two homers and four RBIs over that span.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSunday 6/8, 5:48 PM CT
Washington suffered the 6-3 loss to San Francisco today, though outfielder Lastings Milledge put his best foot forward to reverse their fortunes. Milledge went 2-for-4 with his fourth homer of the season to total two RBIs and one run scored.

Our View: Milledge hasn't been so hot that the plate, hitting just .228 through May and .241 through June thus far.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesMonday 6/2, 9:56 AM CT
Lastings Milledge currently leads the Nationals with 10 stolen bases, according to the Washington Post. He only stole three bases with the Mets in 2007, but commented, "I've been feeling really good stealing bases. I can't be afraid of getting thrown out. We all know we have to play small ball. We don't have guys who are going to hit us 40 or 50 home runs."

Our View: During the Nationals' six-game road trip, which concluded Sunday, Milledge stole five bases, and has been successful on his last eight attempts.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSaturday 5/31, 11:30 PM CT
Lastings Milledge went 2-for-3 in Saturday's 4-0 loss to Arizona. Washington only mustered six hits in the game as Brandon Webb threw a complete game shutout, and Milledge had the best night among the Nationals' hitters.

Our View: That was his sixth multi-hit game in May, and he registered at least one hit in eight of his last 10 games.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesThursday 5/29, 9:13 PM CT
Lastings Milledge went 1-for-3 and is still hitting only .244, but on this day he stole two bases giving him eight on the year.

Our View: Milledge, much like Delmon Young in the AL, continues to be a disappointment this season as both are really only providing value in the stolen base category. Speaking of steals, Millege has five in his last eight games.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesMonday 5/19, 9:14 PM CT
Lastings Milledge had two hits and two RBI on Monday night as he continues to try and find a rhythm at the plate.

Our View: One home run and three steals isn't going to get it done for fantasy owners, and until Milledge can start to show some consistency at the plate, he is better left on your bench.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSunday 5/18, 6:08 PM CT
Lastings Milledge was drilled with a pitch the other night but he played on Sunday, albeit ineffectively, going 0-for-4.

Our View: Milledge is now hitting .234 with just a single home run in 158 AB. What happened to the 20/20 player we were supposed to see this year? He just hasn't shown up yet.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesFriday 4/25, 9:45 AM CT
Lastings Milledge has been scratched for Thursday's game due to showing up late for work, according to the Washington Post. Milledge commented, "It was something I couldn't control. I take full responsibility."

Our View: The Nationals are struggling, but Milledge is having a decent season as he is hitting .271 over 85 at-bats, with seven RBI and two stolen bases. He still shouldn't be in your lineups in small to mid-sized leagues.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesTuesday 4/22, 9:14 PM CT
Washington CF Lastings Milledge worked as the force of reckoning for the Nationals in a 6-0 drumming of the Atlanta Braves.

Our View: Milledge went 2-for-4 at the plate with two doubles and two runs scored, bringing his seasonal batting average to .284.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSunday 4/13, 4:49 PM CT
After a couple 0-fer days against the Braves, Lastings Milledge went 3-for-3 with a double and his first stolen base of the season on Sunday. He chipped in a run and a walk.

Our View: Many people predicted a breakout year for Milledge, who just turned 23 on April 5. He's off to a pretty good start, but we need to see some sustained success before we'll give him a high-five or listen to his rap songs.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesMonday 4/7, 9:57 PM CT
Lastings Milledge had two hits and three RBI for the Nationals on Monday night from the number two spot in the batting order. Milledge now has five RBI on the young season to go with a .294 batting average in a solid start to what many predict will be his breakout season.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesMonday 3/31, 8:14 PM CT
Lastings Milledge had a big day at the plate in the Nats second straight win of the season. In an 11-6 victory over the Phillies, Milledge was 2-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI. One of Milledge's hits was a solo home run against reliever Ryan Madson.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSunday 3/30, 10:29 PM CT
Lastings Milledge has his new season off to a dismal start as he went 0-for-4 with a strikeout against Atlanta on Sunday night. He notably had a problem with strikeouts through spring training and hopefully he can bounce back and make better contact.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSunday 3/23, 7:28 AM CT
Lastings Milledge had a tough day at the plate against Atlanta on Saturday as he went 1-for-4, with three strikeouts. His starting spot in center field is secure, but he now co-leads the team with 12 strikeouts.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSaturday 3/15, 3:02 PM CT
Lastings Milledge stubbed his toe while making a running catch during Thursday's game, according to the Washington Post. "All he needed was like a day off, and I'm going to give him a couple," manager Manny Acta said. Milledge already skipped Friday's game, so presumably we should see him back in the mix on Sunday.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSaturday 3/8, 9:15 PM CT
Lastings Milledge went 2-for-2 with a double, three walks and an RBI in the Nationals' 12-10 win over the Astros in spring training today. Milledge has come into camp with all the motivation to show and prove. The Nats lured the Mets into a trade they had been unwilling to make for some time, and now Milledge is working to be the feather in the Washington cap. Thus far, he's been everything they hoped he would be and more.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesFriday 2/29, 10:29 AM CT
At the moment, Lastings Milledge has been given the green light from manager Manny Acta to attempt steals whenever he wants to, according to the Washington Post. "He has that desire," Acta said Thursday. "He wants to be a guy who steals 30 or more bases. He likes to run. We already had our talk, and he understands if he shows me he can run successfully, you go for it." Milledge swiped 79 bags over parts of five minor league seasons, but he'll need to improve on his 67.5 percent success rate if he's going to keep that green light on.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesThursday 2/21, 9:10 PM CT
Lastings Milledge is ready to prove to the Nationals that they made the right decision in trading for him to be the team's center fielder according to a report on MLB.com. "It didn't surprise me that they traded me," Milledge said. "I was surprised where I went. I didn't think I would be in the same division. You would rather see the Mets trade their best prospect [to a non-division team]." Milledge will look to show his 5-tool talent this year and to put behind him the questions that have dogged him about his show boating and off-field persona. There is no denying the talent and this year he should get the chance to prove he is as good as he thinks he is.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesFriday 11/30, 12:49 PM CT
The Mets traded Lastings Milledge to the Nationals Friday in exchange for outfielder Ryan Church and catcher Brian Schneider. Milledge was considered a top 10 prospect in all of baseball not long ago. His star had fallen in some people's eyes, but this deal still is a bit of a head scratcher.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSunday 9/23, 7:51 AM CT

Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesFriday 9/21, 4:46 PM CT
Lastings Milledge was suspended three games by Major League Baseball on Friday, a day after arguing his ejection during the Mets-Marlins game, according to the AP. Milledge is appealing the suspension, so he'll stay in the lineup for the time being.
Lastings Milledge, CF, Pittsburgh PiratesSunday 8/19, 5:58 AM CT
Lastings Milledge was back in the starting lineup Saturday after missing the previous game with flulike symptoms, the AP reports.
