Ryan Raburn, LF, Detroit TigersSaturday 3/13, 3:48 PM CT
Ryan Raburn went 4-for-4 with an RBI against the Yankees on Saturday.

Our View: He is now hitting .500 this spring. While Detroit's signing of Johnny Damon did Raburn's fantasy value no favors, he should still be worth a look in all AL-only leagues.

According to the Detroit News, the Tigers plan on giving outfielder Ryan Raburn an every day starting job in 2010.

Our View: Raburn shined last season in a limited role hitting .291 with 16 home runs, 45 RBI and an .891 OPS in 261 at-bats. The Tigers see full time potential and want him to play every day to improve his defense. He may be worth targeting in the later rounds of mixed league drafts this year as a sleeper.
Ryan Raburn, LF, Detroit TigersSunday 10/4, 2:49 PM CT
Ryan Raburn had a monster day for the Tigers on Sunday as they clinched a tie at the top of the AL central. Raburn went 3-for-4 with two home runs, three runs scored, and three RBI.

Our View: Raburn was the unlikely hero for the Tigers today, but he came through at a big time. He did all this damage out of the lead-off spot, which makes the feat even more impressive.

Ryan Raburn led the Tigers offensively in tonight's 3-1 win at rival Cleveland, as he went 2-for-3 with a single and a solo homer off Aaron Laffey.

Our View: Raburn hit his fourth homer of September, and his 14th of 2009. He was in need of a solid performance, as he was hitting 1-for-11 over his previous four games.

Ryan Raburn smoked two solo homers in Friday's 3-2 win over the A's.

Our View: Raburn not known for his power, now has three homers in his last two games. Bringing his season total to ten. He's hitting right around .350 for the month.
Ryan Raburn, LF, Detroit TigersThursday 8/13, 3:49 PM CT
Ryan Raburn drove in both Tiger runs on Thursday as Detroit beat the Red Sox 2-0. Raburn went 2-for-4 with a home run, a run scored, and the two batted in.

Our View: Big game by Raburn today, as he provided all of the offense in a game that was a pretty good pitchers' duel. Raburn can produce when he gets his at-bats, but he has very little fantasy value as a utility player.
Ryan Raburn, LF, Detroit TigersWednesday 4/22, 8:45 PM CT
The Miami Herald is reporting that Ryan Raburn has been recalled from Triple-A Toledo. He will replace Marcus Thames, who was placed on the DL.

Our View: Raburn was on the opening day roster last season, and manager Jim Leyland said today that he should have been on this year's, but the Tigers didn't have room. He should get some at-bats, but his fantasy value is very limited, even in AL-only leagues.

Ryan Raburn has been sent down to Triple-A Toledo, according to the AP.

Our View: The utility man hit a meager .185 in 54 spring at-bats. He holds plenty of value due to his work with the leather, but it's apparent that he needs a lot more work at the dish.
Ryan Raburn, LF, Detroit TigersWednesday 4/1, 8:44 AM CT
The Detroit Free Press reports that the Tigers and Cardinals are working on a deal to send Ryan Raburn to St. Louis.

Our View: Raburn is a bit of a super-utility guy who can play all three outfield positions and multiple infield positions. He has hit just .255 in 153 major league games. The Cardinals interest does not figure to be overpowering as they are deep in the outfield and have a number of infielders vying for a spot on the opening day roster.
Ryan Raburn, LF, Detroit TigersSunday 5/11, 11:43 AM CT
Ryan Raburn will start in left field on Sunday against the Yankees. He started in center on Saturday and went 2-for-2 before being replaced by Curtis Granderson.

Our View: The Tigers are just giving the backup a few at-bats and resting some of their regulars. Raburn is a decent hitter, but he doesn't have a regular gig.
Ryan Raburn, LF, Detroit TigersThursday 4/24, 12:45 PM CT
Ryan Raburn replaced Carlos Guillen at third base in the Tigers' lineup on Thursday, according to MLB.com.

Our View: Guillen fouled a ball hard off his right leg on Wednesday and can hardly walk today, according to Manager Jim Leyland. It remains to be reported how long Guillen will be out of action. Raburn is playing today, but Brandon Inge could cover third base if Guillen is to miss time. Inge is playing catcher today. Raburn holds little fantasy value.

Ryan Raburn, LF, Detroit TigersWednesday 2/27, 9:19 AM CT
Ryan Raburn could be an option as an emergency catcher for the Tigers. He played every outfield spot and second base last year, so this would just further enhance his reputation as a nice utility player. Raburn caught in high school. "I used to love it when I was younger," Raburn said in the Detroit News. "It don't bother me. Whatever gets me into the big leagues." Raburn is a guy that could be very useful for a big league team but not so much for fantasy owners.
Ryan Raburn, LF, Detroit TigersThursday 7/26, 9:16 AM CT
Ryan Raburn hit two homers and drove in seven runs on Wednesday. He was a late lineup substation for Gary Sheffield, who sat out with a shoulder injury. There's a chance he earns some more playing time because of the ineffectiveness of Craig Monroe and the injuries to Marcus Thames and Sheffield, but he'll more likely be limited to a couple of spot starts per week.
