Macay McBride carries a 13.50 ERA after three appearances this season, but he's not blaming it all on the cold and windy weather in which he's pitched, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "Bad mechanics and cold weather — not a good mix," said McBride. "But that's not an excuse." He added that, "It's one of those things where I'll look back in May and laugh at my bad start. The walks are what I'm disappointed with, even though I'm not all over the place." McBride has walked six batters in his past 1 2/3 innings.
