The Yankees have reportedly sold outfielder Todd Linden to Tohoku Rakuten of the Japanese Pacific League, according to the Scranton Times-Tribune.

Our View: Linden was hitting .312 in Triple-A prior to the move. He had little chance to make the Yankees this season as they have a very deep outfield.

LoHud.com reports that Todd Linden will be a non-roster invitee to the Yankees spring training. The outfielder has not played in the majors since 2007.

Our View: Linden hit .353/.421/.482 in 85 spring training at-bats in 2007 with the A's. He will need to have a similar type spring to sniff the Yankees' 40-man roster.

Outfielder Todd Linden has been signed to a minor league deal with the Indians, according to the TribeTimeReport.com. Linden, who was previous in the Athletics' organization, is headed to Triple-A Buffalo.

Our View: The Indians are well stocked with outfielders, and Linden isn't likely to get called up this season, barring an injury.

Todd Linden is expected to be called up from Triple-A Albuquerque to fill Aaron Boone's roster spot when the infielder goes on the DL in the next day or two, according to the AP. Linden hit .143 in 13 games for the Marlins earlier this season.

Todd Linden started in right field Wednesday and is scheduled to start again Friday, as manager Bruce Bochy is giving Randy Winn a few days "to freshen up," according to the AP. Bochy said Linden, who switch hits and can play all three outfield positions, may get close to 400 at-bats this season.
