| Joe Kennedy, 28, last with the Toronto Blue Jays, died at his in-law’s home on Friday after collapsing. The pitcher was in the Tampa Bay area for a wedding this weekend. After going to bed early on Thanksgiving night, Kennedy awoke at about 1:15 a.m. and collapsed as he was leaving a bedroom. Hillsborough County Fire Rescue transported him to Brandon Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The cause of death is unknown at this time. Kennedy spent time with the A’s the Diamondbacks and the Blue Jays this last season. |
