Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsSaturday 6/27, 8:05 AM CT
According to the LA Times, Dustin Moseley has suffered yet another setback in his rehab that will once again delay his return from the disabled list.

Our View: Moseley's arm was finally beginning to feel better when he came down with a hip injury. Sidelined since April 18th with tightness in his forearm and inflammation in a nerve in his neck he underwent an MRI that showed more inflammation in his hip. The latest ailment will likely keep him out until the end of July, where (assuming he does return) he would head to the bullpen.

Dustin Moseley has suffered a setback in his rehab from right elbow irritation, and he is slated to undergo more tests, according to the Los Angeles Daily News. The club wants to determine where the pain in his right arm and neck is stemming from. Skipper Mike Scioscia said, "It has been a slow recovery for Mose. Hopefully it will not be too much longer until he can start getting after it. He is having tests to see if there is something in there that was not diagnosed. It's been a tough time for him."

Our View: The Angels do not plan on seeing Moseley return to the mound any time soon. He was placed on the DL April 18 after making three starts.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsWednesday 5/13, 10:58 AM CT
Dustin Moseley's rehab assignment scheduled to start this week has been delayed due to a minor neck injury, according to the Los Angeles Times. He has been recovering from tightness in his forearm.

Our View: Moseley will be out until at least early June. He did not fare too bad over three starts this season, as he was 1-0 with a 4.30 ERA and 1.57 ERA.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsWednesday 4/29, 9:21 AM CT
Pitcher Dustin Moseley (elbow) is scheduled to begin throwing on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Times reports. It will be his first such activity since he went on the DL on April 18.

Our View: There are quite a few steps in between simply throwing and a return to the major league mound. We suspect that Moseley is at least two weeks away and may not be back until late in May.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsMonday 4/27, 12:58 PM CT
Dustin Moseley is yet to throw a baseball since landing on the 15-day DL April 18 with right elbow irritation, according to the Orange County Register.

Our View: The tightness has subsided, but Moseley needs to build up his strength. He would like to start a throwing program at some point this week. He could return to the Angels in mid to late-May.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsSaturday 4/18, 5:53 PM CT
The Angels placed pitcher Dustin Moseley on the 15-day DL Saturday due to tightness in his pitching elbow.

Our View: Apparently Moseley's injury wasn't as minor as Mike Scioscia made it out to be. He left his start on Friday after three innings and apparently had trouble getting loose. Now he's just another casualty on the Angels laundry list of walking wounded.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsSaturday 4/18, 12:18 AM CT
Pitcher Dustin Moseley left his start on Friday after three innings due to a stiff right elbow. Manager Mike Scioscia tells the AP that the hurler is day-to-day and noted that the pain is above the elbow.

Our View: How many injuries can the Angels take? This is getting ridiculous. We hope Moseley's ailment is as minor as Scioscia makes it sound. The skipper may simply be in denial at this point.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsWednesday 4/8, 1:53 AM CT
Dustin Moseley pitched six so-so innings against the A's on Tuesday. He surrendered three runs on nine hits while striking out four.

Our View: If you told manager Mike Scioscia that he'd get six innings of three-run ball out of Moseley, the projected fifth starter not too long ago, he'd probably take it. Not to discount his performance, especially after his first start of the season, but due to injuries at the front of the rotation, Moseley will likely have to pick up his game a bit until players begin to return.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsFriday 3/6, 6:50 PM CT
Dustin Moseley allowed two earned runs on five hits in three innings Friday against the Giants.

Our View: Moseley may be considered the leading candidate for the final spot in the rotation, but a few more performances like this may make manager Mike Scioscia's decision a little bit harder.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsTuesday 2/17, 2:39 PM CT
Dustin Moseley did not practice Monday due to the flu, according to the LA Times.

Our View: Moseley is the favorite for the fifth spot in the Angels' rotation, and should not lose ground while battling the flu.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsSaturday 2/14, 3:25 PM CT
Manager Mike Scioscia noted that Dustin Moseley is the frontrunner for the fifth spot in the Angels' rotation, according to MLB.com. He will be competing with Shane Loux, Nick Adenhart and Anthony Ortega for the job.

Our View: The 27-year-old held a poor 1.79 WHIP over 50.1 innings (10 starts) in 2008, but would be worth a look as a flier if he earns the last spot in the Angels' rotation.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsSunday 9/21, 9:54 PM CT
Dustin Moseley will almost certainly start for the Angels on Thurrsday after the team was forced to move up Jered Weaver and JOn Garland in the rotation because of Joe Saunders kidney stones, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Our View: Saunders will probably be held out until the regular season finale given Moseley and his 7.15 ERA and 1.83 WHIP a chance to face the weak hitting Mariners.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsWednesday 9/10, 6:10 PM CT
Dustin Moseley looked solid on Wednesday holding the Yankees to two runs over five innings in his second win of the year. Moseley allowed three hits and three walks while striking out six.

Our View: Much better. Last time out Moseley was pounded for four runs while recording only four outs. With Jered Weaver returning to the hill on Thursday, Moseley may or may not be used out of the rotation the rest of the way.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsFriday 9/5, 8:22 PM CT
In his first start since being recalled from the minors, Dustin Moseley was knocked out of the game in the second inning by the White Sox. He retired just four of the 12 batters he faced, allowing four runs on six hits including a two-run home run by Juan Uribe.

Our View: Don't expect him to stick around for another start. He was filling Jared Weaver's spot in the rotation as Weaver cut his fingers in his last appearance. Weaver should be back in time to make his next start.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsTuesday 9/2, 1:19 PM CT
Dustin Moseley has been recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake, according to the Orange County Register.

Our View: Moseley is not expected to make an impact in September as he struggled in the minors and held a 7.15 ERA and 1.76 WHIP over 34 innings with the Angels.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsSunday 7/13, 11:18 AM CT
Dustin Moseley got called up from Triple-A and will make the start today in place of Joe Saunders, who is with his wife after the birth of their child, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Our View: Moseley was not having a successful year in Triple-A, with an ERA of 5.88. Don't consider him for your fantasy team.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsTuesday 5/27, 8:36 AM CT
Dustin Moseley has been activated from the DL and optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake, according to the LA Times.

Our View: He could rejoin the Angels' pen at some point, but shouldn't rejoin your fantasy team as he held a 1-3 record over 28.2 innings, with a 7.85 ERA and 1.92 WHIP.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsThursday 5/22, 1:31 PM CT
Dustin Moseley will continue his bid to get back in the Angels' bullpen when he pitches for Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday, according to MLB.com. Manager Mike Sciosca said, "He showed some positive signs last outing. Hopefully, he'll keep building stamina."

Our View: He has been on the DL since May 4 due to forearm stiffness. He could rejoin the Angels' pen, but shouldn't rejoin your fantasy team as he held a 1-3 record over 28.2 innings, with a 7.85 ERA and 1.92 WHIP.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsMonday 5/19, 3:03 PM CT
Dustin Moseley (forearm) who threw batting practice for the Angels while starting in place of the injured John Lackey, allowed five runs in 4.1 innings Sunday for Triple-A Salt Lake.

Our View: Moseley will return to the parent club once he recovers from his forearm injury and can find a way to get hitters out. He will return to long relief in the bullpen.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsFriday 5/16, 8:31 AM CT
Dustin Moseley is set to make another rehab start Sunday, this time for Triple-A Salt Lake, according to the LA Times. The righty, who is coming back from a strained forearm, could be activated next week if all goes well.

Our View: Moseley would go to the bullpen upon activation, though he could always get some starts down the line.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsSunday 5/11, 2:35 PM CT
Dustin Moseley will make a five-inning rehab start at High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Monday, MLB.com confirms. He is on the DL due to a strained right forearm and could return in the coming week.

Our View: Moseley is presumably headed back to the bullpen, where he'll work in long relief and be an emergency starter. That role doesn't equal much fantasy value.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsTuesday 5/6, 9:53 AM CT
Dustin Moseley commented on the forearm injury that landed him on the DL, according to the LA Times. He said, "Any time your body gets cut on, it's probably going to protect that area. I'm dealing with some tightness and different things going on. It's been on and off ever since spring training. It's tough to get on top of the baseball sometimes."

Our View: Moseley also commented that he needs to work on some issues regarding his delivery, and will likely test his arm in a bullpen session this week. Moseley was demoted from the Angels' rotation, after suffering through a 1-3 record over 28.2 innings, with 43 hits and 25 earned runs allowed. He won't hold any fantasy value when he returns.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsSunday 5/4, 1:59 PM CT
Dustin Moseley has been placed on the DL due to stiffness in his right forearm, according to the OC Register. The Angels also recalled infielder Sean Rodriguez from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Our View: Moseley won't be missed by fantasy owners as he held a 7.85 ERA and 1.92 WHIP over 28.2 innings. Rodriguez was brought in for depth due to injuries to Chone Figgins, Maicer Izturis, and Howie Kendrick.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsTuesday 4/29, 8:39 PM CT
Dustin Moseley pitched two innings of relief Monday and will remain in the Halos' bullpen for now. He had been scheduled to start Thursday, but a minor leaguer will be called up to make that start instead, according to the Orange County Register.

Our View: Nick Adenhart pitched on Sunday, so he wouldn't be a candidate for Thursday's start. We'll let you know who the team plans on calling up.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsSaturday 4/26, 12:07 PM CT
Dustin Moseley will make his fifth start of the season today against the Tigers, according to MLB.com. He is 1-2 with a 7.78 ERA and 2.03 WHIP over 19.2 innings, with 13 strikeouts and 10 walks.

Our View: He is filling in until John Lackey returns to the Angels' rotation. He should not be on your fantasy rosters, especially with his team-killing 2.03 WHIP.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsSunday 4/20, 8:25 PM CT
The Angels can't get injured starters, John Lackey or Kelvim Escobar, back soon enough. The teams' fifth starter, Dustin Moseley, continues to throw batting practice during his starts. The right-hander allowed four runs, eight hits and two walks over 4.2 innings of work in Sunday's loss to the Mariners.

Our View: It was Moseley's fourth start of the season with Lackey and Escobar on the disabled list. His ERA of 7.79 and WHIP that exceeds 2.00 should not be anywhere near your fantasy lineup, not even in the deepest format imaginable.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsWednesday 4/9, 6:08 PM CT
Dustin Moseley allowed four runs on nine hits in six innings Wednesday as the Angels put a 9-5 beating on the Indians. Moseley, who evened his record to 1-1, gave up one walk and struck out four.

Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsSunday 3/23, 9:38 PM CT
Dustin Moseley threw five scoreless innings in an 8-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners. Moseley, who lowered his spring ERA to 3.00 after four starts and five appearances, appears to be the favorite to take injured John Lackey's spot in the starting rotation. .
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsTuesday 3/18, 8:15 PM CT
Dustin Moseley , hoping to take advantage of John Lackey’s injured arm, struggled early but recovered nicely his second start of spring training as the Angels beat up on the Milwaukee Brewers, 11-4. Moseley allowed four hits and two runs in the first inning of the game only to turn around and hurl three scoreless innings to follow. In the end, he allowed six hits with one walk and no strike outs. As one of four candidates left to fill Lackey’s rotation spot, Moseley needs to make an impression to start the season in the majors. Today’s outing certainly helps.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsSaturday 3/1, 10:36 AM CT
Recovering from elbow surgery, Dustin Moseley felt some soreness in the joint Friday and was shut down for the day, according to the LA Times. He's expected to pitch in a game next week, so obviously at this point, the Angels aren't too concerned about it.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsFriday 8/31, 12:13 PM CT
Although nothing is official, it appears that Dustin Moseley will take Ervin Santana's spot in the rotation on Monday, according to the LA Times. Moseley threw 5 1/3 scoreless innings Tuesday in relief of Santana, who left after giving up five runs in just 1/3 of an inning.
Dustin Moseley, P, Los Angeles AngelsSaturday 8/4, 9:03 PM CT
Dustin Moseley will keep his spot in the starting rotation for the time being, according to the AP. "Dustin took a step forward (Friday night)," manager Mike Scioscia said. "He maintained his stuff. We'll keep evaluating it but we're all happy with where he is." Despite Scioscia's vote of confidence, Moseley has not been sharp lately, holding a 6.30 ERA over his last two starts.
