Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 3/10, 5:49 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 2-for-2 with a grand slam in Wednesday's 10-5 win over the Padres.

Our View: Sizemore is looking to rebound from an injury plagued 2008 campaign, and is off to a fine start. He's hitting a cool .600 with six RBI already this spring and with his ailments behind him should be a top-five fantasy outfielder once again.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSaturday 2/27, 1:18 PM CT
According to Anthony Castrovince on Twitter, Grady Sizemore has informed the public that he will hit in the number-two hole this season.

Our View: This is great news for fantasy owners, as Sizemore should see a nice increase in RBI, but not at the overt expense of runs or steals. He hit in the two hole last season for just over 100 at-bats, but has primarily been a leadoff hitter in his career. Asdrubal Cabrera will take that spot in 2010, and he and Grady should be a force at the top of the lineup, as a bounce-back campaign is highly suspected for the Indians center fielder.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSunday 11/1, 4:05 PM CT
The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that Grady Sizemore is running and working out at the team's complex in Arizona. He is nearly 100 percent following elbow and hernia surgery.

Our View: Sizemore endured a very disappointing season in 2009, but speculation abounds that he was never completely healthy. The talent is still here, but Sizemore will probably slide down draft boards for next spring. He could provide excellent value for his new draft position.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSunday 10/25, 2:09 PM CT
Sports Illustrated's Jon Heyman is reporting that Manny Acta has been named the new manager of the Cleveland Indians.

Our View: Acta, who went 158-252 in two and a half years as manager of the Nationals, is taking over a team that went 65-97 in 2009 and traded away many of its best players. He won't be improving on his managerial winning percentage any time soon.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 9/30, 5:20 PM CT
Grady Sizemore is progressing well in his recovery from arthroscopic surgery on his left elbow, according to the Associated Press. He also underwent surgery for a sports hernia.

Our View: The elite outfielder has started light workouts, and is expected to be ready to go for spring training, barring a setback.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 9/30, 10:46 AM CT
SI.com is reporting that the Cleveland Indians have called a press conference for Wednesday afternoon to announce the firing of manager Eric Wedge. Wedge spent seven seasons as the Indians' skipper, and he led the team to one playoff appearance during his tenure.

Our View: The writing was on the wall for Wedge after the team's disastrous showing this season. He will finish out the season as the team's manager, but he will be out as soon as the season is done. He should find work elsewhere, but he may have to wait for another managing job.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 9/16, 10:44 AM CT
According to the Twitter page of the Cleveland Indians, star outfielder Grady Sizemore underwent successful surgery on Wednesday morning. The operation reinforced Sizemore's unstable abdominal wall on his left side.

Our View: Sizemore is looking at recovering from two surgeries, one on the abdomen and one on the elbow, but he still expects to be ready for spring training next season. 2009 was pretty much a lost year for Sizemore, but he can easily bounce back next season if he can get himself completely healthy.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansTuesday 9/8, 12:16 PM CT
Grady Sizemore's elbow surgery has been confirmed for Wednesday, according to MLB.com. The operation will be an arthroscopic procedure and will be performed by the team's medical director.

Our View: Sizemore will also have another surgery on his abdominal wall, so this elbow operation is just the first one. He is still expected to be ready for spring training next season, and fantasy owners will have to hope he bounces back after a disappointing 2009 season.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansFriday 9/4, 11:22 PM CT
As expected, the Indians indicated that Grady Sizemore has been shut down for the remainder of the 2009 season, and will undergo two surgeries, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.

Our View: He will undergo arthroscopic surgery to clean out the inflammation beneath the lining of his ailing left elbow. His other procedure will be for an instability of the abdominal wall, which is similar to a sports hernia. Barring a setback, the elite outfielder is expected to be recovered in time for spring training.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansFriday 9/4, 3:25 PM CT
The Indians are likely to announce on Friday that Grady Sizemore will be shut down for the rest of 2009 because of lingering elbow soreness, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View: A fitting end to a disastrous season for one of baseball's supposed best players. While playing a decent amount of the season hurt, his numbers came nowhere near what a player of his caliber is supposed to produce. In 106 games, he batted just .248 with 18 home runs and 64 RBI. He also managed to strikeout 92 times, while stealing bases at a career low rate of .619 (elbow injuries don't make you slower). To put that in perspective, consider that the infamously slow Yadier Molina has been successful on seven of nine steal attempts in 2009 (.777). Most distressingly of all, however, is that 2009 marked the fourth straight season Sizemore posted a lower average and run total than the season before, and the third straight season he posted a lower home run total and on-base percentage from the previous year. Unfortunately, "elite" may no longer be an appropriate word to describe Cleveland's elite center fielder.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 9/2, 9:33 PM CT
The Indians are talking to Grady Sizemore about undergoing season-ending elbow surgery, according to MLB.com. Sizemore said, "We have not decided anything yet. Right now, we are playing it day by day. We are talking about it, but that is all we have done is throw the idea out there."

Our View: Sizemore has been dealing with elbow inflammation for most of the season, and the Indians are talking about cutting his season short to insure that he is recovered from surgery in time for spring training. If he does decide to continue playing, he will likely have the surgery immediately after the season.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansTuesday 9/1, 6:36 PM CT
Grady Sizemore could undergo surgery on his ailing left elbow before the end of the season, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View: Shutting the elite outfielder down early would help insure that he is recovered in time for spring training, and would also give the club a chance to work top prospect Michael Brantley into their outfield.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansThursday 8/27, 9:30 PM CT
Grady Sizemore helped lead the Indians in tonight's 5-4 win at Baltimore, as he went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. He hit two singles and a solo homer off David Hernandez, and also swiped a base.

Our View: Sizemore is hitting .319 in August, with four homers and four stolen bases. This is clearly his best month of the season, and hopefully he won't cool off for fantasy owners down the stretch.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansTuesday 8/25, 9:07 PM CT
Grady Sizemore is out of Tuesday's lineup to rest his ailing elbow, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.

Our View: Skipper Eric Wedge figured tonight was a good time to hold the elite outfielder out, as he has faith in starting pitcher Justin Masterson, who forces a lot of ground balls.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSunday 8/16, 7:35 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 2-for-4 and hit his 17th home run in the Indians' 7-4 win over the Twins Sunday.

Our View: Grady's disappointing fantasy campaign has been marred by injuries and poor performance, but there is a bright spot. He's hitting .310 with three homers and eight RBI in August.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 8/12, 9:30 PM CT
Grady Sizemore slapped three singles in the Indians' 5-0 loss to the Rangers on Wednesday. He finished the day 3-for-4.

Our View: Grady has been a colossal fantasy disappointment this season, but he's turning it on lately. He's hitting .302 in August, which as it stands is the only month this season he's hit over .247.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 8/5, 9:18 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored in tonight's 8-1 win against the Twins at Progressive Field. He hit a double and two singles.

Our View: Sizemore has five hits and four RBI over his last three games and is hitting better after struggling in July with a .247 average. Hopefully he will play up to expectations as an elite outfielder down the stretch for fantasy owners.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSunday 8/2, 3:17 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 2-for-4 with a walk, two runs, two RBI and a home run against Detroit on Sunday.

Our View: Sizemore has been a huge disappointment this season, but with a home run today and a steal yesterday, he still boasts a combination of power and speed, when healthy, that few in the league can match. Continue to play him and hope that he's back on track.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansTuesday 7/28, 8:36 AM CT
Grady Sizemore missed the team's Monday game against the Angels with flu-like symptoms, and is likely a game time decision for Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Grady is having somewhat of a lot season in 2009, and could maybe use a few days off to try and get his head right.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSunday 7/26, 6:44 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in his return to lineup on Sunday, helping Cleveland rout the Mariners 12-3 in Seattle.

Our View: Sizemore is still hitting a very weak .230 on the season, however. He might be a good candidate to buy low, but it could also be the case that 2008 is just a lost season for the slugging Indians outfielder.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSaturday 7/25, 12:46 PM CT
Grady Sizemore is not in the Indians' lineup for their Saturday afternoon game against the Mariners. Sizemore will be replaced by Ben Francisco in center field.

Our View: Grady is just getting a day off today, and he is expected to return to the lineup tomorrow. If you play in a league that offers daily lineup changes, get him out for today. If not, rest assured he will be back Sunday.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansFriday 7/17, 10:03 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, a run, and an RBI in the Indians' loss to the Mariners. Sizemore is now hitting .242 on the season.

Our View: Sizemore has been excellent in the two games since the break, going a combined 4-for-9 with two runs and two RBI. Fantasy owners should hope that Grady has figured it out, because he can carry a team in the second half when he is right.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansThursday 7/16, 9:01 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 2-for-5 with a run and an RBI on Thursday in his return to the leadoff spot, and the Indians beat the Mariners 4-1 behind Cliff Lee in Cleveland.

Our View: Sizemore has had an inglorious 2009 thus far, but maybe a return to the top of the order will be what finally gets him going again. He is batting just .238, and is only 9 of 16 on steal attempts. Still, he should be considered a must start because of his ability to get hot at any moment.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansThursday 7/16, 1:57 PM CT
According to the Twitter page of the Cleveland Indians, outfielder Grady Sizemore will return to the leadoff position in the team's lineup on Thursday. Sizemore had been hitting in the middle of the order over the last few weeks.

Our View: No word yet as to whether this is a permanent move or not, but it seems as if Grady could be back to the leadoff spot for good. He has been swinging the bat better as of late, and the Tribe must like what they see since they are moving him back.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansTuesday 7/7, 10:27 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 2-for-4 with two homers and three RBI in tonight's 10-6 loss at Chicago.

Our View: Sizemore is enjoying a power surge, as he has three homers over his last three games. This is encouraging as he only tallied four total homers over the previous two months.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSaturday 7/4, 9:14 PM CT
Grady Sizemore had his second straight two-hit game on Saturday, and drove in two runs as the Indians dispatched Oakland 5-2.

Our View: Sizemore is still batting an amazingly disappointing .230 on the season, however, and is not anywhere near playing his best baseball. He could be a good candidate to buy low.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansFriday 7/3, 9:25 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 2-for-2 with an RBI, three walks and three runs scored in the Indians' 15-3 drubbing of the A's on Friday.

Our View: Since coming off the DL, Sizemore has ten RBI and seven walks. Friday's contest was just his second multi-hit game since returning though.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansTuesday 6/30, 5:48 PM CT
Grady Sizemore will likely undergo surgery on his left elbow after the season, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Team trainer Lonnie Soloff said, "There is a high index of suspicion for that, yes."

Our View: Sizemore has been bothered by persistent inflammation in his elbow since mid-May. He could miss the start of spring training after having off-season surgery, assuming the Indians don't shut him down early.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansThursday 6/25, 10:39 PM CT
Grady Sizemore was not in tonight's lineup at Pittsburgh to rest.

Our View: He is fresh off the DL following his bout with elbow inflammation, and the Indians held him out tonight as a precaution to keep him healthy.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 6/24, 10:43 PM CT
Grady Sizemore was productive in Wednesday's 10-6 loss at Pittsburgh, as he went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer off Steven Jackson.

Our View: Sizemore now has five RBI over two games since coming off the DL. He looks to be fine to employ in fantasy lineups again.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansTuesday 6/23, 12:17 PM CT
Updating a previous report, the Indians have officially activated outfielder Grady Sizemore for Tuesday's game against Pittsburgh, according to the Twitter page of the Indians. Sizemore is expected to see action at some point in the series, but it is unclear at this time if he will play Tuesday night.

Our View: It is not a sure thing that Grady will play tonight, but we will know more as the day progresses. Regardless of whether he plays tonight or not, this is a great sign for Sizemore owners. His elbow is feeling good, and there is hope that he can salvage the rest of the season.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansMonday 6/22, 9:58 AM CT
The Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that Indians' outfielder Grady Sizemore expects to be activated on Tuesday for the team's first game of their series against the Pirates in Pittsburgh. Sizemore told the paper that "My elbow feels good. I haven't had any setbacks, but we're only going to find out how it really is by playing every day."

Our View: This is very encouraging for Sizemore owners. You aren't out of the woods yet, but a return to the lineup is a good sign for the rest of the season. We will keep you updated on his status for this week, but be ready to activate him on Tuesday.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSaturday 6/20, 8:16 AM CT
According to the Plain Dealer, Grady Sizemore missed his batting practice session on Friday due to inclement weather, but managed to play long toss from 105 feet. He is currently rehabbing an inflamed left elbow and said he felt pain free after the throws.

Our View: Grady will continue to hit and throw on Saturday and Sunday, but the rehab comes with an ultimatum. If he feels fine after the weekend workouts he'll return to the Indians' lineup a few days later. Should something go wrong, or if the pain doesn't subside, he'll have to undergo surgery and miss 4-6 weeks. Fingers crossed fantasy owners.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansMonday 6/15, 5:51 PM CT
Grady Sizemore is feeling better in his recovery from left elbow inflammation, and he is nearing his return to Cleveland, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Sizemore could be back in 7-10 days. He will test his elbow with more throws and swings tomorrow. The elite outfielder noted that he feels he could play the rest of the season if the pain level in his elbow does not get worse.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 6/10, 5:46 PM CT
MLB.com reports that Grady Sizemore will not participate in baseball activities for five more days and he is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his sore elbow on Monday. The Indians are hoping to avoid arthroscopic surgery.

Our View: A surgery would cost Sizemore another four to six weeks. It has been a nightmare season for those owners who invested heavily in the outfielder as he has struggled both at the plate and on the basepaths. We will keep you posted when more news is made available.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansMonday 6/1, 6:04 PM CT
Indians OF Grady Sizemore could be on the disabled list longer than his allotted 15 days since his tender left elbow may require arthroscopic surgery the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Our View: The surgery would require Sizemore to miss four to six weeks, which is more bad news for the injury ravaged Indians and Sizemore fantasy owners. Hopefully the elbow heals on its own and he can avoid going under the knife.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSunday 5/31, 9:54 AM CT
ESPN.com is reporting that the Indians have placed outfielder Grady Sizemore on the 15-day DL with left elbow inflammation. In the corresponding move, the team called up utilityman Chris Gimenez to replace Sizemore on the roster.

Our View: Not a complete shocker, but bad news for Sizemore owners. The timing of the move is a bit odd, especially since Grady hit his first home run in seven games yesterday. Hopefully the time off will let the elbow heal, but owners need to find a fill-in for the time being.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSaturday 5/30, 9:38 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in Saturday's 10-5 loss to the Yankees at Progressive Field.

Our View: He played in the DH role. He ended a seven-game skid without a homer, and has nine for the season. He has a hit in four straight games, but is still hitting a dismal .211 in May with 29 strikeouts.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansTuesday 5/26, 7:00 PM CT
MLB.com is reporting that Grady Sizemore could make a trip to the DL in the near future due to his left elbow condition.

Our View: Grady has been a huge disappointment for fantasy owners this season, so maybe trip to the DL could be best for everyone. Owners need him to start playing like a first round pick, and if a DL trip is what it takes to get him healthy then owners should be encouraged.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSunday 5/24, 4:22 PM CT
Grady Sizemore was 2-for-4 with a triple, and RBI and a run scored in the Indians' 4-3 11-inning loss to the Reds on Sunday.

Our View: Grady has not looked like himself this season. The talented center fielder is hitting just .221 this season and is below the Mendoza line for the month of May. Another alarming stat: He has just seven steals and has been caught six times. Stick it out with Sizemore, as we all know he's better than this.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansFriday 5/22, 10:26 AM CT
The Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that Grady Sizemore should be back in center field for Friday's series opener in Cincinnati. Sizemore had been serving as the team's DH while resting his sore elbow.

Our View: Sizemore will not DH again tonight, mainly because the team is not allowed to use the DH while playing in a National League park. If Sizemore can't start in center, he will be on the bench, but expect him to play tonight.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 5/20, 7:21 PM CT
Grady Sizemore is apparently dealing with a sore left elbow, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He will DH for the second straight game on Wednesday.

Our View: We were wondering why Sizemore served as the DH last night, and now we know. The elbow doesn't appear to be serious, but he is just getting some time off on defense. Keep him in the lineup unless the injury gets worse.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSunday 5/17, 11:39 AM CT
Grady Sizemore is not in Sunday's lineup at Tampa Bay, according to ESPN.

Our View: Sizemore is only hitting .220 with 41 strikeouts over 159 at-bats, and could use a day off. He has also been caught stealing six times.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 5/13, 4:51 PM CT
According to MLB.com, Manager Eric Wedge is considering moving Grady Sizemore out of the leadoff spot.

Our View: Grady loves hitting first. It's where's he's most comfortable and where he's excelled since 2005, but he's not getting on base enough. He is 2-for-30 in the first inning of a game this season and hasn't looked like a leadoff hitter. The move isn't confirmed yet, nor would it likely be permanent if it happens, but at least it would give Grady more RBI opportunities. And maybe drag him out of his funk. He's hitting just .228 this season with a .311 OBP.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSunday 5/10, 3:40 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in the Indians' 5-3 loss to the Tigers on Sunday. Sizemore drove in the only run off of starter Rick Porcello.

Our View: Sizemore is starting to hit the ball, but he struck out two more times again. He needs to cut down on the K's if he is going to get that average higher than .227. Wait him out, as he is just too good to do this all year.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansMonday 5/4, 11:12 PM CT
Grady Sizemore drove in two runs in the twelfth inning to help the Indians to a 9-7 win over the Blue Jays.

Our View: Sizemore is still underachieving in 2009, but he had a big hit tonight. Owners need to be patient with Grady, because the numbers will be there before long.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSaturday 5/2, 6:29 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 2-for-5 in Saturday's 9-7 loss at Detroit. Both of his knocks were singles. He also swiped his fifth base of the season.

Our View: He is off to a good start against Detroit, after only collecting one hit over the previous three-game series against Boston.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSunday 4/26, 3:19 PM CT
Grady Sizemore had another two-hit day on Sunday as the Indians beat the Twins 4-2. Sizemore scored a run in the game and raised his average to .269 on the year.

Our View: Sizemore is starting to heat up, and owners are saying it's about time. Sizemore is an elite player and fantasy talent, so enjoy him if you have him.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansFriday 4/24, 9:24 PM CT
Grady Sizemore drove in the only run for the Indians on Friday as Cleveland dropped one to the Twins 5-1. Sizemore was 2-for-4 in the game.

Our View: Grady has been hot as of late after a slow start, and his two hits tonight raised his average to .271. He is stll an elite fantasy player, and expect his numbers to continue to increase.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansThursday 4/23, 2:22 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Royals at Progressive Field.

Our View: He collected his sixth homer of the season, with two coming over the three-game set with Kansas City.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansFriday 4/17, 4:19 PM CT
Grady Sizemore was 2-for-5 on Friday win a run scored. His average now sits at .234 for the year, and he has three home runs and ten RBI.

Our View: Sizemore seems to be swinging a better bat as of late, but his average is still awfully low. He is still providing decent production for fantasy owners, however, and should only get better as the season wears on.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansThursday 4/16, 4:24 PM CT
Grady Sizemore hit a grand slam, his third home run of the year, off Damaso Marte in the seventh inning against the Yankees on Thursday.

Our View: While Sizemore also drew two walks, he was still just 1-for-4 on the day, left five runners on base and was caught stealing, though you can't complain about a player's performance when he clears the base paths with a dinger. It is a bit troubling that he's batting just .214 through the first week and a half of the season, although, like last year, he continues to provide fine value to his owners despite the mediocre average.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansThursday 4/9, 6:11 PM CT
Grady Sizemore was 2-for-5 with four RBI and two runs scored in Cleveland's 12-8 loss to the Rangers on Thursday.

Our View: Today was typical of Sizemore's offensive game, meaning he can look great at times, as evidenced by his two jacks, but he can just as easily look clueless at the plate, like he did in the case of his three strikeouts.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 3/25, 5:57 PM CT
Grady Sizemore was 2-for-4 in Wednesday's contest against the Padres. He also recorded his second stolen base of the spring.

Our View: The ladies would be proud. Grady is hitting .417 this spring and is arguably the top fantasy outfielder in the game. Expect another 30-30 season from Cleveland's center fielder.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansTuesday 3/17, 8:12 PM CT
Grady Sizemore hit his first home run of the spring on Tuesday. He was 2-for-4 with two runs driven in against the Rangers in the contest.

Our View: Grady's Ladies have plenty to smile about as their man is hitting a pungent .435 this spring. Look for stats similar to last year's in 2009. 30-30 seasons are hard to come by these days, which makes Grady a top fantasy outfielder and sure-fire first rounder.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansMonday 3/9, 6:52 PM CT
Grady Sizemore had a great day for the Indians on Monday, going 3-for-3 with a pair of runs scored while also driving in two.

Our View: Sizemore is batting .600 so far this spring. We expect him to be one of the most valuable players in fantasy this year after having a 30-30 season in 2008. His 90 RBI last year will also make him very attractive to fantasy owners.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansFriday 3/6, 2:21 PM CT
Grady Sizemore's groin injury is not serious, according to MLB.com. He is only dealing with soreness, and would be able to play if needed. He will sit out a week of Cactus League action and he said, "If this was the regular season, you guys would not even know about it. I would be in there."

Our View: Sizemore remains safe to draft as a No. 1 fantasy outfielder.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 3/4, 8:58 PM CT
MLB.com reports that Grady Sizemore should be back from his sore groin injury at some point early next week.

Our View: The center fielder is still expected to miss the World Baseball Classic. It would be nice to see his batting average come up some, but even if it does not, he remains one of the top fantasy outfielders in the game. If the Indians offense can get going earlier this season, Sizemore's numbers should benefit.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansFriday 2/27, 11:39 AM CT
Grady Sizemore will no longer participate for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic due to a sore groin, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Sizemore had played in Cleveland's first two Cactus League games but apparently tweaked his left groin while attempting to steal a base on Thursday. The injury does not appear to be serious and could end up being a blessing in disguise, as it'll keep Sizemore in the Indians' camp and allow him to completely focus on the upcoming season.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansThursday 2/26, 6:43 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI in Cleveland's 15-9 loss to Arizona Thursday.

Our View: Sizemore will be motivated to rebound from last season, which was sub-par according to his standards, and should be a solid late first-round pick. Sizemore batted just .268 in 2008, which was his lowest mark since his rookie season of 2004, when he played in only 43 games for the Tribe.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSaturday 12/20, 10:24 AM CT
Grady Sizemore has accepted an invitation to represent Team USA in the upcoming World Baseball Classic, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Indians' GM Mark Shapiro said, "As a general manager, you're always concerned when your player isn't playing for you, but this is good for the game and it's an honor for Grady."

Our View: It is no surprise that Sizemore was invited as he is one of the brightest young American stars in the majors, and joined the 30/30 club for the first time in 2008 with 33 homers and 38 stolen bases.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansThursday 11/13, 5:29 PM CT
Grady Sizemore won his first career Silver Slugger on Thursday, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Sizemore's average dropped below .270 for the first time in his career in a full season, but he also reached 30 home runs for the first time. There aren't many players that can give you 30+ homers and 30+ stolen bases in a year, but Sizemore did just that in 2008.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansMonday 9/22, 9:50 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 0-for-5 on Monday night to run his mark to 0-for-9 over the past two nights.

Our View: Sizemore had a 9-game hitting streak during which time he produced 18 hits just before this 0-for streak. He has already set career-highs in home runs (33), RBI (89) and SB (38), so forgive us if we aren't too concerned by this two night slump.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSunday 9/21, 3:51 PM CT
Grady Sizemore struck out four times in four at-bats on Sunday, meaning he accomplished the feat that earns him the golden sombrero.

Our View: Not a good day for Sizemore, who has otherwise been excellent this season. If he could ever cut down on his strikeouts, his numbers may improve even further.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansThursday 9/18, 10:49 AM CT
Grady Sizemore set a franchise record with Cleveland as the first player to register at least 30 doubles (registered 36), 30 homers (32), and 30 steals (38) in a season, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View: Sizemore joined the 30/30 club for the first time in his career, and is 12 RBI from reaching 100 for the first time as well. He also registered multiple hits in six of his last seven games.

For the fifth straight game Grady Sizemore has had multiple hits. In the Indians 3-1 win over the Twins, Sizemore was 2-for-4 and also added his 38th stolen base.

Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansFriday 9/12, 9:16 PM CT
Grady Sizemore broke out of his slump as he hit two doubles and finished 3-for-5 against the Royals on Friday night. He added two RBI and two runs scored.

Our View: Sizemore had not had a hit in 26 at bats. His average currently stands at .265, and would be his lowest average since 2005 if he were to finish the season at that mark.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 9/10, 10:09 PM CT
It was a rough night for Grady Sizemore, he was 0-for-4 against the Orioles and is in the midst of a 0-for-19 skid.

Our View: Sizemore is only three stolen bases and nine home runs away from a 40-40 season. It might be tough for Sizemore to get the nine homers, but who will really be complaining since he has already gone 30/30?
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSaturday 8/30, 7:41 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 2-for-4 with a run scored in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Mariners. Both of his hits were doubles.

Our View: Sizemore has two hits in back-to-back games against Seattle, with three doubles. The finale of the series is set for Sunday.

Grady Sizemore went 2-for-4 in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Mariners at Progressive Field. He hit a single and a double, and also notched a stolen base, his 35th of the season.

Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansMonday 8/25, 7:24 PM CT
Grady Sizemore became a member of the 30-30 club (home runs and stolen bases) for the first time in his career when he hit a leadoff homer in the Indians game against the Tigers, according to MLB.com.

Our View: Sizemore has provided power and speed for fantasy owners for a number of years, but this is the first time he accomplished this feat. He has a very outside chance of getting to 40-40, but he'll need six stolen bases and nine home runs to get there. He had hit nine home runs during June of this year, so it's not unprecedented for him to accomplish the feat.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSunday 8/24, 10:32 PM CT
It was a difficult evening for Indians outfielder Grady Sizemore. He batted four times and struck out in three of those at-bats, though Cleveland managed to beat the Rangers 4-3.

Our View: Sizemore has been very good for fantasy owners, and with one more home run will be a 30/30 man. His only obvious flaw is his tendency to strike out, as he now has over 100 on the season.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSaturday 8/23, 11:09 AM CT
Grady Sizemore will remain in the leadoff spot despite hitting 29 home runs, according to the Akron Beacon-Journal. Manager Eric Wedge was asked if he would move him to the middle of the lineup and he answered, "The only way I would consider doing something like that is if I had somebody very strong to put at the leadoff spot. Unless you had another leadoff hitter get on ahead of him, you probably would lose production."

Our View: Sizemore would generate more RBI from a lower spot in the lineup, but he has been productive with 79 this season, and he would potentially score less runs and get the green light to steal less often from leaving the leadoff spot.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansThursday 8/21, 3:08 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 4-for-5 with seven RBI in Thursday's 10-3 win over the Royals. He hit a triple, a three-run homer, and two singles, and also added a stolen base.

Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansTuesday 8/19, 9:36 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 2-for-5 with a homer, two runs, and three RBI in Tuesday's win over the Royals. It was his first homer of August (16 games).

Our View: Grady has tied his career high with 28 homers this season, so we can hardly complain about his recent drought. With two more long balls, Sizemore will become a first-time member of the 30-30 club. He remains a fantasy star, even though his runs are down due to a lack of support.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSaturday 8/9, 2:57 PM CT
Grady Sizemore had a difficult day against Toronto pitcher Roy Halladay, and wound up going 0-for-5 with two strikeouts in Cleveland's 4-2 win.

Our View: August has been a horror for Sizemore. After today's failings, he is 2-for-26 on the month, good for an unseemly .077 batting average.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 8/6, 11:51 AM CT
Grady Sizemore is getting a day off on Wednesday against the Rays. Franklin Gutierrez will move to center and bat leadoff, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Our View: It's a rare day on the pine for Sizemore, who played all 162 games in both 2006 and 2007. He is not hurt, as far as we know.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansThursday 7/31, 12:00 AM CT

Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansMonday 7/28, 8:56 PM CT
Grady Sizemore was 2-for-3 with a stolen base, a walk and a run scored on Monday against the Tigers. It was his 26th steal of the season.

Our View: Its good to see a little aggressiveness on the bags from Grady who has stolen two bags in two nights. It was his fourth steal in 10 games since the break. He has only been caught three times all season. If the trend continues his value increases going forward. He is hitting .329 in July.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSunday 7/27, 3:09 PM CT

Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSaturday 7/26, 9:50 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 1-for-5 and struck out three times in the Indians 11-4 loss to Minnesota on Friday. He did extend his hitting streak to a modest six games, however.

Our View: Sizemore has now hit in 12 of his last 13 games, and possesses that rarest of combinations which makes fantasy owners smile: power and speed.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 7/23, 12:15 AM CT
The Indians failed to make good on solid hitting, falling 3-2 to the Angels this evening. Outfielder Grady Sizemore was once again a factor, hitting his 24th homer of the season to go 1-for-4 at the plate with one RBI and one run scored. Sizemore did face closer Francisco Rodriguez in the top of the 9th with two outs (no one on) with a chance to tie it up, but instead found a walk.

Our View: Sizemore has work to do to match the nine homers for 16 RBIs he enjoyed in June, touting five homers for 10 RBIs thus far in July. However, his average is up from .281 in June to .328 in July.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 7/9, 10:55 PM CT
Grady Sizemore hit two RBI singles in the second and fourth innings and finished the 10th straight loss by the Indians 3-for-5.

Our View: Sizemore has hit for power this year, but recently, he has raised his batting average as well. The center fielder is now hitting .272 on the season.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansTuesday 7/8, 4:10 PM CT
Grady Sizemore will become the first Cleveland Indian to participate in the State Farm Home Run Derby since 1998 when Jim Thome performed.

Our View: Sizemore leads the AL in home runs with 22.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSaturday 7/5, 10:20 PM CT
Grady Sizemore had two more hits on Saturday night, one of them being his 22nd home run of the year for the Indians in their 9-6 loss to the Twins.

Our View: Did you realize that the 22 home runs Sizemore has hit lead the AL? If only those hitting behind him would pick up the slack and start knocking him in once in a while, we would be talking about a top-10 fantasy season for this offensive force.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 7/2, 10:57 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 3-for-4 with two RBI in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the White Sox. Two of his hits went for solo homers. He also stole a base and scored four runs in the game, which took 10 innings to decide.

Our View: He has 21 homers for the season, with four coming over his last seven games. His stolen base was also his 20th, and he is on pace for his first career 30/30 campaign.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSunday 6/29, 3:48 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 9-5 loss to the Reds. He also chipped in a stolen base.

Our View: He has 19 homers and 19 stolen bases over 79 games. He looks to be headed for his first career 30-30 season.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansFriday 6/27, 10:21 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 2-for-4 with three RBI in Friday's 6-0 win over the Reds. He hit a solo homer and a double.

Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSunday 6/15, 3:01 PM CT
Grady Sizemore hit his 17th home run of the season helping the Indians to a 7-3 win over the Padres on Sunday afternoon.

Our View: The home run was Sizemore's third in the three-game series against the Padres. The Indians' center field now has 40 RBI and 44 runs scored on the season. However, the home run was his only hit and lowered his average to .265.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 6/11, 9:33 PM CT
The Indians suffered the 8-5 loss to Minnesota this evening despite a strong effort from outfielder Grady Sizemore . Sizemore went 2-for-5 at the plate with his 14th double of the season as well as his 13th home run, good for three RBIs on the night.

Our View: Sizemore struggled through rough times in May, hitting just .221 on the month despite hitting seven home runs and 16 RBIs along the way. This month he has the power and run production working again and his work at the plate is improved as well, hitting .306 on the month thus far.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSunday 6/1, 4:18 PM CT

Grady Sizemore went 1-for-3 with a single, two walks, a run, and a stolen base on Wednesday. He has swiped four bags over the last five games.

Our View: Sizemore is having a tough month at the plate, but it's nice to see that he's trying to make up for those struggles by stealing bases.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 5/14, 8:29 PM CT
Grady Sizemore was half of the Cleveland offense as C.C. Sabathia shutout the Oakland Athletics 2-0 on Wednesday night. The Cleveland center fielder hit a solo home run that gave the Indians a 1-0 lead, all they would need with last year's Cy Young winner on the mound.

Our View: Sizemore has 24 runs, 21 RBI, seven home runs, seven stolen bases and is hitting .274 on the season. Sizemore has three leadoff home runs this season and 14 in his career, the second-most in franchise history behind Kenny Lofton's 18
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSaturday 5/10, 9:21 PM CT
The Cleveland Indians smacked the Toronto Blue Jays around the yard today, winning 12-0. CF Grady Sizemore was (as usual) a weapon of choice, going 3-for-5 with a double (his sixth this year) and two home runs (six total on the year) to ring up five RBIs and three runs scored on the evening.

Our View: Sizemore started the season well but hit a bit of slide in late April. However, he has gone 12-for-36 since April 29 with three home runs.

Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansTuesday 4/29, 12:10 PM CT
Grady Sizemore, who is nursing a sprained right ankle, was held out of Monday's game due to wet and cold field conditions at Progressive Field, according to MLB.com. He was available as a pinch-hitter if needed. Sizemore said, "It's a lot better than Sunday (referring to his ankle). In a different situation, I could be in there playing. It's so early in the year. There's no point in making it worse than it could be when I could be 100 percent on Tuesday."

Our View: Sizemore hopes to return tonight, but the team will be cautious if the weather is unfavorable again. He had seven stolen bases before getting hurt, but may want to ease off of running much when he initially comes back to action. He could still make an impact with his bat, however.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansMonday 4/28, 6:07 PM CT
Manager Eric Wedge has held Grady Sizemore (ankle) out of the starting lineup for the second straight game. Wedge was hoping to get his center fielder back for the Monday night finale of the four-game series against the Yankees, but Franklin Gutierrez is starting and hitting eighth against starter Mike Mussina.

Our View: The weather is chilly, 50 degrees at first pitch, and rain will threaten throughout the game. Sizemore will be available to pinch hit.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansMonday 4/28, 12:16 PM CT
Manager Eric Wedge said on Sunday that Grady Sizemore will not be placed on the DL due to his sprained ankle, according to IndiansConfidential.com. Wedge said that he’s hoping Grady will be back tonight for the series finale against the Yankees, and that a day of rest and rehab will do the ankle good. It is 50 degrees and could rain throughout the day in Cleveland, so Sizemore may want to sit out another day to risk further injury.

Our View: Sizemore had his 382 consecutive games streak snapped due to the injury, but it sounds like he will be OK. Franklin Gutierrez covered his post in center field, and would make another start if Sizemore is to sit out tonight.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSunday 4/27, 11:37 AM CT
Cleveland CF Grady Sizemore , nursing an injured ankle in Saturday's win over the New York Yankees, will be out of the starting lineup today, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View: Sizemore owns the largest active consecutive games played streak in the majors, taking part in 382 consecutive games. As a result of the injury, David Dellucci will bat leadoff for the Indians and play in left field while Franklin Gutierrez bats eighth and covers the role in center.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansThursday 4/24, 9:49 PM CT
Grady Sizemore went 4-for-5 with a run scored, two RBI and a stolen base in the Indians Game 1 victory over the Royals on a day when the two teams are playing a double header.

Our View: Sizemore pushed his average up to .289 with this effort, and though he has six steals in the early going, he still has scored only 10 runs in 21 games, a terrible total for a guy who has scored at least 118 runs in each of the past two seasons.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSunday 4/13, 3:50 PM CT
Grady Sizemore continues to build his status as a top MLB player, helping the Indians to a big 1-7 win over the Oakland Athletics. Sizemore batted 2-for-4 with one walk, gathering three RBIs and two runs scored on the day.

Our View: Sizemore now carries a seasonal batting average of .313 and is well on his way to the potent campaign we all expected.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSaturday 4/12, 9:28 PM CT
Grady Sizemore stole his third base of the season and knocked in his fifth run for the Indians on Saturday.

Our View: Sizemore has scored only three runs through 11 games, a shockingly low total for a guy who has scored 111 or more in each of the last three seasons. Look for his pace to quicken substantially in the coming weeks.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansSaturday 4/5, 10:09 AM CT
Grady Sizemore left '07 with a bat to envy and continues to shine in '08. In Cleveland's 3-6 loss to the Oakland A's, Sizemore went 2-for-4 with one strike out. Hitting leadoff, Sizemore's .375 batting average, if he can keep it going, serves as a great sign for Cleveland moving forward. Getting on base in front of a some of the best power hitting in the league should result in better returns.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansThursday 4/3, 2:17 PM CT
Grady Sizemore had a tough day at the plate in a 2-1 loss to Chicago on Thursday, as he went 0-for-4 with a stikeout. He is still off to a solid start as he racked up four hits and four RBI in the first two games of the series.

Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 8/15, 5:41 AM CT
Grady Sizemore was moved into the third spot in the batting order Tuesday, with Kenny Lofton hitting leadoff. Sizemore certainly held up his end of the deal, going 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and a pair of walks. Conventional wisdom holds that Sizemore would run less in the No. 3 slot, but he also attempted a stolen base, albeit he was thrown out by Ivan Rodriguez.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansWednesday 6/13, 8:41 AM CT
Grady Sizemore got a rare but routine day off for the first time all season on Tuesday. Manager Eric Wedge told the team's official site the make-up game against the Mariners that took away what was supposed to be an off-day on Monday and the fact that the Marlins were pitching lefty Scott Olsen as two reasons why he gave Sizemore a day off.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansFriday 5/18, 10:27 PM CT

Indians manager Eric Wedge isn't concerned about Grady Sizemore's .128 batting average this spring, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "Grady's fine," Wedge said. "He's fine. He's in good shape. The last few games he's swung the bat very well, he's just hit the ball right at people."
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansTuesday 8/22, 9:19 PM CT

The Akron Beacon Journal reports that Grady Sizemore has five of his 17 stolen bases since July 13. "Grady usually has a good feel for when he can go," manager Eric Wedge said. "He's not afraid to take those opportunities." Sizemore is 17-of-19 this season after going 22-of-32 last year.
Grady Sizemore, CF, Cleveland IndiansThursday 7/20, 7:37 AM CT
Taking advantage of Thursday's day off for the Indians, manager Eric Wedge held Grady Sizemore out of the starting lineup Wednesday to give the outfielder a little extra rest, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "Grady didn't have an All-Star break," Wedge said. "They run you around pretty good at that thing. This way he'll have Wednesday and Thursday off. There's a big difference between having one day and two days off." Sizemore entered the game as a pinch-hitter in the eighth inning and remained in the game for the last two innings, though.
