Pedro Feliz was 3-for-4 with an eighth inning home run that tied the game at four. He had two RBI and a run scored in the game.

Our View: Feliz was 0-for-7 in the first two games in New York, but he's gone 4-for-8 with two extra base hits in Philadelphia.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesThursday 10/1, 9:44 PM CT
Pedro Feliz went 2-for-5 with two RBI on Thursday, but the Phils still lost 5-3 to the Astros, even with ace Cliff Lee on the mound.

Our View: Playing in Philadelphia's machine-like offense, Feliz has managed to drive in 82 runs this season, a total very few saw coming from the 34 year old.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesTuesday 9/29, 9:21 PM CT
Pedro Feliz drilled a grand slam in the fourth inning of Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Astros. He was 1-for-4 on the day.

Our View: The homer was just Feliz's 12th of the season, but the overshadowed third baseman has driven in 79 runs. Fifteen of them have come this month.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesSunday 8/9, 5:08 PM CT
Pedro Feliz went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer off Dan Meyer in Sunday's 12-3 loss to the Marlins at Citizens Bank Park.

Our View: Feliz homered in two of his last four games, and has eight for the season. He also holds a .286 batting average and racked up 56 RBI.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesSunday 7/12, 5:17 PM CT
Pedro Feliz smacked a grand slam in the first inning of the Phillies' 5-2 win over the Pirates on Sunday. He finished the day 2-for-4 with four RBI.

Our View: The salami was Feliz's sixth homer of the season and his first since June 30th. The Phillies' third baseman now has 45 RBI to go with his .293 average.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesSaturday 6/27, 3:15 PM CT
Pedro Feliz was 2-for-5 and hit his fifth home run of the season in the Phillies 10-0 win over the Blue Jays on Saturday. The homer was a two-run shot that came in the first inning.

Our View: Feliz started out the season with a bang, hitting .323 in April, but has cooled considerably since. His average now stands at .287 and his homer today was only his second this month.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesFriday 6/26, 8:25 AM CT
According to the Philidelphia Inquirer, Phillies' third baseman Pedro Feliz snapped an 0-for-18 slump at the plate with his hit in the first inning on Thursday. He ended the game 2-for-4.

Our View: Feliz has been having a quietly nice season so far, but he was struggling badly going into the game yesterday. It was good two see him hit the ball, so any owners out there should fell comfortable that the slump is over.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesThursday 6/25, 10:05 PM CT
Pedro Feliz went 2-for-4 and drove in a run on Thursday, but the Phillies got hammered by the Rays 10-4.

Our View: Feliz has quietly driven in 36 runs this season, and is a decent utility option or fill-in starter in most formats.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesSunday 4/26, 2:51 PM CT
Third baseman Pedro Feliz went 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and a walk in Sunday's win over the Marlins. He was 0-for-13 over his previous four games.

Our View: Felix is already up to eight walks this season, which is a huge improvement for him. He remains just an NL-only play, but his decent April brings some hope of him keeping his job and bettering his poor 2008 numbers.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesTuesday 4/21, 10:53 PM CT
Pedro Feliz went 3-for-4 with a home run, a walk, two runs scored, and three RBI as the Phillies beat the Brewers 11-4 on Tuesday.

Our View: Feliz has five RBI over his last four games and nine on the season. He remains a solid, yet overlooked, player at the hot corner.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesThursday 3/26, 9:44 AM CT
Phillies third baseman Pedro Feliz will be healthy and ready to play from Opening Day forward, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

Our View: Feliz had back surgery after the season last year. He's not hit well this spring, with just three singles in 20 at-bats, but fantasy owners in NL-only leagues should look at him as an option, as should those in mixed leagues, but only as a reserve.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesSaturday 3/21, 3:41 PM CT
Pedro Feliz went 1-for-3 with a single in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Twins.

Our View: Feliz averages just under 20 homers over his last five seasons, and could be a decent power source for NL-only leagues if he can bounce back healthy (back surgery).
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesFriday 3/20, 11:11 AM CT
Manager Charlie Manuel expects Pedro Feliz (back surgery) to be ready to cover third base for opening day, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

Our View: If healthy, Feliz would be a decent power source for NL-only leagues, especially while playing his home games at hitter-friendly Citizens Bank Park.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesThursday 3/12, 4:37 PM CT
Pedro Feliz participated in Philadelphia's intrasquad game on Wednesday, his first live action since undergoing back surgery in November, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View: Barring a setback, it looks like Feliz will be ready to go by the start of the season and enter as Philadelphia's starting third baseman. Still, Greg Dobbs should see the occasional start as well and take some of Feliz's at-bats, and given that Feliz does not bring a whole lot to the table anyways, he's probably no more than a late-round option in NL-only leagues.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesFriday 2/27, 12:37 PM CT
Pedro Feliz, who is recovering from back surgery, began hitting off a tee Thursday, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View: There remains a chance he can be ready for opening day, and should be drafted among the top-30 fantasy prospects at third.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesFriday 2/20, 2:28 PM CT
Pedro Feliz, who is slowly recovering from back surgery, fielded some ground balls at third base yesterday, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View: He looked OK, but it is too early to determine when he can progress to batting practice. The club will know more regarding his status for the start of the season within the next 2-3 weeks. There remains a chance he can be ready for opening day, and should still be drafted among the top-30 fantasy prospects at third.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesTuesday 2/17, 2:22 PM CT
Pedro Feliz is making a slower than expected recovery from back surgery, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View: It is uncertain if he will be ready to roam third base on opening day. Feliz won't really be pushed for a starting spot if he is not ready for opening day, so he should still be drafted among the top-30 fantasy prospects at the position.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesWednesday 11/26, 9:42 AM CT
Pedro Feliz's surgery was deemed successful as he had a lumbar discectomy performed by back specialist Dr. Robert Watkins, according to MyTeamRivals.com.

Our View: Feliz is expected to start a rehab assignment that will last 8-to-12 weeks, meaning he should be ready for spring training.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesThursday 11/20, 12:04 PM CT
Third baseman Pedro Feliz will undergo lower back surgery on Thursday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. The operation is a lumbar discectomy. Feliz will need eight-to-12 weeks of rehab.

Our View: Barring complications, Feliz should be back for most (if not all) of spring training. The Phillies have Greg Dobbs and Eric Bruntlett as third base options if Feliz's recovery doesn't go as planned.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesWednesday 10/29, 9:08 PM CT
Pedro Feliz drove in the World Series winning run in the seventh inning of Game 5. Feliz was 2-for-4 in the Phillies' 4-3 win over the Rays.

Our View: Feliz got his first hit on Monday and then connected on his second hit in the same game two days later. The Phillies won their first World Series since 1980.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesSunday 8/24, 11:26 PM CT
Pedro Feliz was the hero for the Philadelphia Phillies, hitting a walk-off three-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to lead the team to a 5-2 win over the Dodgers.

Our View: Feliz's value should be limited to NL-only leagues, as his OBP of .301 and other mediocre stats aren't anything to write home about.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesThursday 8/21, 3:21 PM CT
Pedro Feliz has been activated from the DL following his bout with lower-back inflammation, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Les Walrond was demoted to Triple-A Lehigh as the adjoining move. Feliz said, "I'm hitting. I'm fielding. I'm throwing. I'm ready to go. It's been a little bit sore, but it's not painful where I can't play. I feel good to go."

Our View: Feliz could hold favorable fantasy value down the stretch in deeper NL-only leagues (assuming he can stay healthy), as he hit 12 homers and 46 RBI prior to landing on the DL.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesWednesday 8/20, 2:12 PM CT
Pedro Feliz, who has been on the 15-day DL with lower-back inflammation, could return to the Phillies as early as today, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

Our View: Feliz could hold favorable value down the stretch in deeper NL-only leagues, as he hit 12 homers and 46 RBI prior to landing on the DL.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesMonday 8/18, 11:32 AM CT
Pedro Feliz, who is recovering from lower back inflammation, is slated to begin a rehab assignment Monday with Double-A Reading, according to the AP.

Our View: Feliz is expected to play two games in Reading. It is unknown when he will rejoin the Phillies.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesSaturday 8/16, 8:56 AM CT
Phillies third baseman Pedro Feliz will likely start a rehab assignment on Sunday with the team's Single-A affiliate in Clearwater, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View: Feliz has had a decent year, but does not do enough to be considered in mixed leagues, as his on-base percentage is barely hovering above .300, at .304.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesWednesday 8/13, 12:20 PM CT
Pedro Feliz, who is on the DL while recovering from back inflammation, is still at least a week away from rejoining the Phiilies, according to the Philadelphia Daily News. Feliz will take batting practice in Florida today, then move on to fielding ground balls later in the week. The Phillies hope he will make his first rehab appearance early next week

Our View: Feliz will provide depth in NL-only leagues when he returns, as he has 12 homers and 46 RBI over 99 games.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesFriday 8/8, 10:47 AM CT
The Philadelphia Daily News indicates that Pedro Feliz will likely miss the Phillies' seven-game road trip to San Diego and Los Angeles next week while he begins a rehab assignment. Feliz visited back specialist Todd Albert Thursday and has resumed throwing for the first time since suffering a back injury.

Our View: Feliz will provide depth in NL-only leagues when he ultimately returns, as he has 12 homers and 46 RBI over 99 games.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesThursday 8/7, 5:56 PM CT
The condition of Phillies third baseman Pedro Feliz's back has improved, and he could begin a rehab assignment next week, according to Phillies.com.

Our View: Feliz has a measly .304 on-base percentage, though he does have 12 home runs and 46 RBI, making him a depth player in NL-only leagues.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesTuesday 8/5, 8:08 PM CT
Injured Phillies third baseman Pedro Feliz is scheduled to make his second visit to a back specialist on Thursday, assistant general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said, according to MLB.com. The Phillies placed Feliz on the 15-day disabled list July 29, and announced last Thursday that he was suffering from a bulging disk in his back. On Thursday, Feliz will report to Dr. Todd Albert of the Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital for a follow-up visit.

Our View: Manuel said Tuesday that Feliz reported feeling better, but had not swung a bat recently. Amaro sounded optimistic that Feliz would resume baseball-related activities later in the week. He is eligible to be activated from the disabled list Saturday, but we believe it may take longer. Back problems are tricky and tend to linger, thus it is fair to expect a longer absence than is currently slated to come to fruition. Stay tuned.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesThursday 7/31, 1:40 PM CT
Back specialist Todd Albert examined Pedro Feliz today and determined that the third baseman has a mild disc bulge in his back, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. He won't participate in any baseball-related activities until sometime next week.

Our View: Feliz is eligible to return on August 9, but that might not happen. Greg Dobbs and Eric Bruntlett will handle third while he is out.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesTuesday 7/29, 3:02 PM CT
The Phillies placed Pedro Feliz on the DL Tuesday with lower back inflammation. The move was retroactive to July 25. Mike Cervenak was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to replace him on the roster.

Our View: Feliz has been bothered by the ailment for a few weeks now. Greg Dobbs will handle most of the starts at third while he's out. Eric Bruntlett should also get some time.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesSunday 7/27, 11:24 PM CT
Pedro Feliz missed his third straight game with tightness in his lower back.

Our View: There have been no indicarions that Feliz is headed for the disabled list, but its certainly not unfathomable.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesFriday 6/27, 11:20 PM CT
Pedro Feliz went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Friday's close 8-7 loss to the Rangers.

Our View: That was only his ninth homer of the season, and his second in June. He only had seven RBI in the month heading into tonight's game as well. Now would be a great time to try and sell him high.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesMonday 5/26, 10:21 PM CT
Pedro Feliz was 4-for-6 in Monday's rout of the Rockies. The third baseman scored twice and had four RBI.

Our View: Feliz raised his average 14 points with the four-hit game, moving from .257 to .271. He now has 26 RBI and 19 runs scored on the season.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesThursday 5/15, 9:59 PM CT
Pedro Feliz hit his sixth home run of the year on Thursday as he knocked in two runs for the Phils.

Our View: Feliz has been unable to get any traction this season with just 11 runs and 18 RBI on the year, but at least he has brought his average up in May (.304). He figures to hit his customary 20 HR with 75 RBI but it's often a very bumpy ride.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesSaturday 4/19, 6:36 PM CT
Pedro Feliz continues to struggle in his first year in Philadelphia as he went 0-for-2 to fall to .203.

Our View: Feliz did walk twice on Saturday, he now has six on the year, but unless he starts hitting soon he could lose time to Greg Dobbs who did a solid job filling in at third base last season.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesTuesday 4/1, 8:40 AM CT
Pedro Feliz failed to impress with his new team on Monday as he went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts, while leaving three men on base in an 11-6 loss to Washington. Hopefully he can perform better in his next game.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesThursday 3/27, 3:51 PM CT
Pedro Feliz, who's long ball in the sixth inning wasn't enough to give the Phillies a victory, did hit a career high fifth spring home run on Thursday. The move from spacious San Francisco to Philadelphia seems to have invigorated the veteran.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesTuesday 3/25, 12:19 PM CT
Pedro Feliz smacked his fourth homer of the spring against the Yankees on Monday. He is off to a good start in that department and should hit a solid share of bombs while playing his home games in Philadelphia this season.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesThursday 3/20, 2:54 PM CT
Pedro Feliz went 1-for-3 against the Pirates on Thursday as he collected his third homer of the spring. Feliz should hit a solid share of home runs while playing his home games in Philadelphia this season.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesThursday 2/28, 6:56 PM CT
Pedro Feliz has fallen out of bed hitting as he has gone 4-for-5 in his two games with his new team, the Phillies. Feliz figures to post at last 20 HR and 70 RBI this year for the Phillies since he has reached those totals in four straight seasons. Given a move to a more offensive ballclub who plays in a hitter's park, those numbers are likely the starting point for what to expect from Feliz this season.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesMonday 1/28, 4:03 PM CT
The Phillies have inked Pedro Feliz to a two-year, $8.5 million deal. Feliz will certainly improve the team's defense, but on offense his woeful on-base percentage wipes any power he might provide. That said, if any team can live with Feliz's OBP deficiency, it's probably the Phillies, who have arguably the best offense in the NL, so this seems like a pretty good fit. Feliz was a Type B free agent, so the Giants will receive a sandwich pick. Wes Helms and Greg Dobbs will now be relegated to bench roles.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesSaturday 12/8, 12:23 PM CT
Pedro Feliz declined the Giants' arbitration offer Friday. The Giants would like to bring Feliz back on a one-year deal, but he wants a multi-year contract. "If it shifts to our way of thinking, which is shorter term, we're prepared to do that," GM Brian Sabean said in the Mercury News. "We're just not prepared to go long term. . . . I know he wants to come back, but the change of agents really might dictate it."
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesTuesday 11/13, 11:25 AM CT
Free agent Pedro Feliz is said to be looking for a three-year deal, but he is unlikely to get three years from the Giants. "If that's the case, it's not something we're going to pursue," GM Brian Sabean said in the Mercury News. "At least not at this time." Feliz has hit 20 homers in four straight seasons and plays terrific defense, but his career OBP of .288 certainly leaves something to be desired.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesSunday 7/8, 6:18 AM CT
Pedro Feliz batted just once in Saturday's win over St. Louis, popping out as a pinch hitter. He's in a 1-for-20 slump and hasn't been playing every day since Rich Aurilia came off the disabled list.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesSaturday 6/9, 11:09 PM CT
Pedro Feliz was forced to catch at the end of Friday's game when both San Francisco catchers left with injuries. Feliz isn't likely to catch again, but heads up if your league rules require just one game for position eligibility.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesSunday 4/29, 3:06 PM CT
Pedro Feliz is getting a start in left field Sunday, his first outfield action of the year. Given the roster juggling that Bruce Bochy is employing these days in San Francisco, it's key for Feliz to prove he's capable in as many positions as possible. His bat has perked up a bit this week, with six hits and three homers in his last five starts.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesWednesday 4/25, 11:41 AM CT
Pedro Feliz is losing some playing time to Ryan Klesko, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. "(Pedro is) a guy who's flexible," manager Bruce Bochy said. "I can move him to other positions. As we get deeper into this streak (of 20 games in 20 days), we'll move some other guys around." Feliz was the odd man out Tuesday, as Klesko started at first and Rich Aurilia moved over to third. Feliz piled up 160 games and 603 at-bats last year, but he's already missed five full games this season (one of them to be with his pregnant wife).
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesFriday 4/20, 12:18 PM CT
Pedro Feliz missed Thursday's game so he could be with his expecting wife, the Oakland Tribune reports. The Giants hope to have Feliz available Friday.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesFriday 4/6, 4:43 PM CT
Pedro Feliz didn't start Thursday so Bruce Bochy could get Ryan Klesko into the lineup, the Giants official site reports. Klesko got the call at first, Rich Aurilia moved to third, and Feliz didn't start. Feliz, who started 106 games before receiving his first break last season, didn't seem too excited about Bochy's move but refrained from complaining. "What can I do?" he said. "I want to play every game, but it's not going to happen." He'll be back in the lineup Friday, with Aurilia sitting.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesMonday 12/4, 5:02 PM CT
The Giants re-signed Pedro Feliz to a one-year deal Monday, according to the Sports Network. Terms were not disclosed. "Pedro has certainly done a lot for our club over the last few years, obviously driving in a lot of runs, and has provided a lot of versatility," said general manager Brian Sabean. "Nobody has played more games for us over the last three years, so his durability is certainly an advantage." Feliz will man third base for the Giants, meaning the newly-acquired Rich Aurilia will likely play first.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesThursday 11/30, 11:21 AM CT
Pedro Feliz wants a raise from his $4.275 million salary of last season, but it appears that he may be backing down from his demand of a multiyear deal because of lack of interest, according to the Contra Costa Times. Feliz drove in 98 runs last year but had a paltry .281 on-base percentage.
Pedro Feliz, 3B, Philadelphia PhilliesWednesday 8/2, 7:58 AM CT
Hitting just .113 in his previous 10 games, Pedro Feliz was given his first day off this season Tuesday, according to the Contra Costa Times. "I would like to be in there every day, but a day off is a day off," Feliz said.
