Lew Ford, OF, Cincinnati RedsTuesday 8/25, 6:29 PM CT
According to MiLB.com, the Cincinnati Reds have signed outfielder Lew Ford to a minor league deal. Ford last played for the Rockies before his release earlier this season.

Our View: Ford last played in the majors in 2007, and it seems unlikely that he will make any kind of impact with the club this season. He is in his early 30's now, so the Reds will likely take a chance on a younger player before they give Ford a look.

Our View: The Rockies' outfield is already crowded, and the 32-year-old Ford is not likely to be fantasy-worthy with the club in 2009, barring injuries.
