Jason Frasor, P, Toronto Blue JaysSaturday 9/26, 3:45 PM CT
Jason Frasor improved to 7-3 on Saturday after throwing two scoreless innings with four strikeouts in Toronto's extra-inning win over Seattle.

Our View: Frasor continues to add to his impressive season and should be very much in the mix for Toronto's closing gig heading into next season.

With closer Scott Downs (toe) landing on the DL, Jason Frasor should get most on Toronto's save chances, according to CBS Sports.

Our View: Frasor wasn't great in his previous shot at closer this season, but he did convert the save yesterday, and with a 2.09 ERA and sub-1.00 WHIP, you have to like his prospects. It doesn't look like Downs will be back anytime soon, so pick Frasor up now.

Jason Frasor has signed a one-year deal for $1.45 million with the Blue Jays to avoid salary arbitration, according to MLB.com.

Our View: Frasor has proven to be a favorable reliever for Toronto, but only holds fantasy value in deeper leagues that feature middle men.

Jason Frasor has been dealing with the stomach flu the past week, and though he hasn't pitched in a game he did throw 16 pitches in a simulated game on Wednesday, this according to MLB.com. With B.J. Ryan nearing full health, and Jeremy Accardo around to fill the set up role, Frasor is nothing more than a late round pick in AL Only leagues.

Jason Frasor is healthy, yet he hasn't pitched in Toronto's last nine games, according to the Blue Jays website. "The other guys have kind of worked their way ahead of him," manager John Gibbons said. "If those other guys are rested and we've got the lead or something, those are the guys we go to now. They've just kind of taken the bull by the horns." Despite the fact that he has moved down in the pecking order, Frasor has still been fairly effective this year, posting a 4.23 ERA along with an 8.7 K/9 rate.

Jason Frasor and the Blue Jays agreed to one-year, $825,000 deal on Tuesday, according to the AP. Frasor was 3-2 with a 4.32 ERA in 51 games last season, splitting time between Toronto and Triple-A Syracuse. "We're just looking for a little more consistency which he showed at the end of the year," general manager J.P. Ricciardi said Tuesday. "The guy had 17 saves as a rookie a couple of years ago. He's done some really good things for us. I think last year he just hit a bit of a snag, but he went down and got himself right and pitched well in the second half."
