Randy Flores, P, Colorado RockiesTuesday 9/1, 6:45 PM CT
According to the Associated Press, the Rockies have recalled left-hander Randy Flores, right-hander Joel Peralta and catcher Paul Phillips from Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Our View: Flores and Peralta will add depth in the bullpen and Phillips will be the team's third catcher now that the rosters have expanded. The Rockies also recalled former slugger Jason Giambi and pitchers Greg Reynolds and Greg Smith were brought up and instantly placed on the 60-day DL to clear space for everyone else.

TSN is reporting that the Colorado Rockies have optioned reliever Randy Flores to Triple-A Colorado Springs. In a corresponding move, the team recalled pitcher Franklin Morales.

Our View: Flores threw eight innings for the Rockies this season, striking out ten but also compiling an ERA of 5.63 and a WHIP of 1.63. He holds no fantasy value even if he returns to the team later this season.

As expected, Randy Flores has been recalled by the Rockies from Triple-A Colorado Springs, according to the Sports Network.

Our View: Flores will replace Glendon Rusch in Colorado's bullpen as a lefty specialist. The 33-year-old vet is not worth consideration for fantasy leagues.

Randy Flores is expected to be recalled from Triple-A after the Rockies waived Glendon Rusch, according to the Denver Post.

Our View: The 33-year-old reliever holds a 4.78 career ERA in the majors, and would not merit fantasy attention if he replaces Rusch in the Rockies' bullpen.
Randy Flores, P, Colorado RockiesWednesday 2/11, 9:53 AM CT
Left-handed reliever Randy Flores has signed a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training with the Rockies, reports the Denver Post.

Our View: Flores had been with St. Louis since 2004, but his awful performance last season, in which he walked an absurd 20 hitters in 25.2 innings, helped lead to his departure. He also had shoulder surgery last season, and may not be ready to start the year.
Randy Flores, P, Colorado RockiesSaturday 12/13, 7:30 AM CT
Pitcher Randy Flores was not offered a contract by the Cardinals and has become a free agent, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: This is no surprise, as Flores was absolutely hideous last season, as in 25.1 innings he walked 20 batters while striking out 17.

Randy Flores underwent surgery to remove a cyst on his left shoulder but the St. Louis Cardinals official web site is reporting that he will be ready to go in spring training.

Our View: It was a season to forget for Flores who had an ERA of 5.26 and a WHIP of 3.10.

St. Louis reliever Randy Flores will undergo surgery on his left shoulder to remove a cyst and repair fraying in his labrum, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Flores was awful this season, which hampered the team's bullpen due to a shortage of lefties. He only threw 25.2 innings, but had a ghastly 7.01 BB/9 rate.
Randy Flores, P, Colorado RockiesFriday 9/19, 7:45 AM CT
Randy Flores is expected to be examined by team doctors before pitching again, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Persistent shoulder stiffness remains a problem, and manager Tony LaRussa is not optimistic regarding his next appearance. Flores holds a poor 5.26 ERA and 2.10 WHIP this season, but his absence leaves Ron Villone as the only lefty available in the bullpen.

Randy Flores is unable to pitch on Thursday night against the Reds as he continues to have problems with his shoulder, according to the Cardinals official Web site.

Our View: The Cardinals and Flores have no idea when he is going to be able pitch again. You can be sure that fantasy owners are not on the edge of their seats waiting for him.
Randy Flores, P, Colorado RockiesThursday 9/18, 7:26 AM CT
Randy Flores was unavailable to pitch Wednesday as he continues to battle shoulder pain, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: He has been dealing with the ailment for an extended period of time, and the pain has gradually gotten worse and more difficult to pitch through. There is no timetable as to when he may be ready to return to the mound, but fantasy owners should not be waiting for him with a 5.26 ERA and 2.10 WHIP over 25.2 innings.
Randy Flores, P, Colorado RockiesMonday 9/1, 1:23 PM CT
Reliever Randy Flores has been recalled from Triple-A and will join the Cardinals bullpen, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The Cardinals will activate Randy Flores from the DL prior to Friday's game, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The club optioned Chris Perez to Triple-A Memphis to make room on the roster.

Our View: He held a 5.12 ERA over 19.1 innings before landing on the DL. The reliever isn't worth targeting.

Manager Tony LaRussa said, "He needs to get work. He was not pitching great when he left. He could use the work."

Our View: He held a 5.12 ERA over 19.1 innings before moving to Triple-A. He won't be worth acquiring when he returns to the Cardinals' bullpen after the break.

Pitcher Randy Flores has been placed on the 15-day DL with left ankle tendinitis, according to the AP. The team activated Albert Pujols from the DL, as an adjoining move.

Randy Flores, P, Colorado RockiesMonday 5/5, 11:18 PM CT
Randy Flores earned his first win of the season after working a trying but scoreless eighth inning to help secure a 6-5 win over Colorado.
