Justin Miller, P, Los Angeles DodgersFriday 12/4, 4:22 PM CT
Justin Miller has agreed to a minor league deal with the Dodgers, according to the Los Angeles Times. He will earn $850,000 if he makes the MLB roster, with another $50,000 in incentives.

Our View: The 32-year-old reliever held a a 3.18 ERA and 1.31 WHIP over 56.6 innings with the Giants in 2009. He does not look to hold much fantasy value if he finds a spot in the Dodgers' bullpen in 2010.

Justin Miller will be called up by the Giants to fill Joe Martinez's spot in the bullpen, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

Our View: Martinez will be placed on the 15-day DL after being hit with a line drive and suffering a concussion on Thursday. Miller is not expected to get more than the occasional inning or two in middle relief and thus has no fantasy value.

MLB.com reports that Justin Miller, who spent the past two seasons working out of the Marlins bullpen, has reached agreement on a Minor League contract with the Giants.

Our View: After being used heavily in the first half, in both long relief and setup situations, Miller was placed on the disabled list with right elbow inflammation on July 5 and designated for assignment on Aug. 15. In 46 games for Florida this past season, Miller was 4-2 with a 4.24 ERA. He threw 46 2/3 innings, striking out 43 and walking 20.

The Marlins designated Justin Miller for assignment Friday to clear a roster spot for Paul Lo Duca.

Our View: This is surprising given that Miller had a terrific 2007 season and a pretty good year so far in 2008. Someone will snatch him up.

Justin Miller was activated from the DL on Wednesday night and in order to make room for him on the roster the Marlins demoted Ryan Tucker, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Tucker made nine appearances for the Marlins going 2-3 with a 7.88 ERA and 1.81 WHIP clearly signifying that he isn't yet ready to contribute. As for Miller, he returns from elbow irritation and will look to find a role of prominence in the bullpen.

Justin Miller is close to returning to the Marlins' bullpen following his battle with right elbow inflammation, according to the Miami Herald.

Our View: He could be back as early as Wednesday, but holds little to no value in fantasy leagues that don't use middle relievers.

Justin Miller started his minor league rehabilitation and threw one inning allowing one run, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Our View: Miller works in middle relief and has little value in fantasy leagues.

Justin Miller's MRI revealed he has nothing more than inflammation in his right elbow, according to the Miami Herald.

Our View: Miller hopes to resume throwing before the West Coast trip ends.

The Marlins have placed reliever Justin Miller on the 15-day DL due to right elbow inflammation, the Palm Beach Post reports.

Our View: Miller can be a decent setup man and maybe useful in NL-only leagues when he's healthy, but he obviously has no business being on fantasy rosters right now.
Justin Miller, P, Los Angeles DodgersThursday 12/13, 11:17 AM CT
Justin Miller signed a one-year, $750,000 contract Thursday to remain with the Marlins. He had a terrific year for the Fish in 2007, holding a 3.65 ERA and 1.25 WHIP with a 10.8 K/9 rate in 61 2/3 innings.
