| Jerry Narron is using Adam Dunn as the No. 3 hitter against lefties and the No. 2 batter against righties, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. On a daily basis Dunn flip-flops with Brandon Phillips, depending on what pitcher the Reds are facing. No matter who is pitching, Narron wants to get Dunn an at-bat in the first inning. Dunn's off to a fast start thus year, going 8-for-25 over the first week with three homers, two stolen bases and five walks.

| Reds manager Jerry Narron said he might hold Adam Dunn out of Tuesday's game to rest up, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Dunn is 1-for-19 in his career against scheduled starter Brad Penny. "I told Dunner about a week ago he had one day off the rest of the year, and it's going to be against Brad Penny," Narron said. |
