MLB.com is reporting that the Florida Marlins are close to signing free agent pitcher Scott Williamson to a minor league contract. Williamson last pitched in the majors in 2007 with the Orioles.

Our View: The Marlins must really be desperate for bullpen help considering they signed Brenden Donnelly earlier this week and now Williamson. Don't expect any fantasy value here, as he hasn't pitched in the bigs since 2007.
