Augie Ojeda, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksMonday 5/11, 11:23 AM CT
Augie Ojeda is expected to start at shortstop Monday against the Reds, according to the Arizona Republic. Drew is still recovering from his strained hamstring.

Our View: Ojeda has been nursing an illness, but is ready to return to action. Ojeda is hitting .300 over 60 at-bats, and is worth consideration for deeper fantasy leagues if you have him on your roster.
Augie Ojeda, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksFriday 5/1, 9:34 AM CT
Augie Ojeda is likely to miss tonight's game at Milwaukee while nursing a minor groin injury, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: The Diamondbacks are having bad luck at shortstop with Stephen Drew also on the shelf. Josh Wilson will be the top candidate to start if Ojeda is ruled out.
Augie Ojeda, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksTuesday 2/17, 6:57 PM CT
Augie Ojeda and seven other Diamondbacks will participate in the World Baseball Classic, according to MLB.com.

Our View: The club is concerned that Ojeda may not get enough action in the WBC to get him ready for the season. Ojeda has been a strong utility player for the team last season, playing second, third, and shortstop in 105 games.
Augie Ojeda, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksWednesday 12/10, 7:11 PM CT
MLB.com reports that the Diamondbacks signed infielder Augie Ojeda to a one-year contract for $712,500.

Our View: Ojeda, who will turn 34 later this month, has been a valuable utility player for the D-backs the past two seasons. The switch-hitter, who was eligible for salary arbitration, batted .242 in 105 games at second, third and shortstop.
Augie Ojeda, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksThursday 8/28, 4:28 PM CT
Augie Ojeda continues to do a solid job filling in for the injured Orlando Hudson for the D'backs at second base even if his production hasn't been as good as hoped, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: Last season Ojeda filled in for Hudson batting .341 in the final 14 games of the year before a big performance in the playoffs. This season the well has dried up as he is just 11-for-57 since the All-Star break (.193). He doesn't deserve to be rostered in anything but the deepest of NL-only leagues.
Augie Ojeda, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSunday 8/17, 9:44 AM CT
Augie Ojeda is likely to start at second base Sunday against Astros' hurler Roy Oswalt, according to the East Valley Tribune. Chris Burke started for the third straight game at second base Saturday against an opposing left-hander.

Our View: Ojeda is capable of solid production, and is worth a look in NL-only leagues for Sunday.
Augie Ojeda, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSaturday 5/10, 5:45 PM CT
The Arizona Diamondbacks managed just four hits (none for extra bases) as a team in a 7-2 loss to the Chicago Cubs, two of those hits coming from leadoff man 3B Augie Ojeda . Ojeda went 2-for-3 on the day, raising his season batting average to .390.

Our View: Ojeda is enjoying a productive month of May, going 11-for-24 with seven RBIs and just two strike outs.
Augie Ojeda, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksSaturday 5/3, 7:13 PM CT
Augie Ojeda went 3-for-4 and racked up six RBI in Saturday's 10-4 win over the Mets.

Our View: Ojeda filled in for Orlando Hudson, who sat out with a tight hamstring. This was an impressive outing for Ojeda, but Hudson isn't expected to miss time, and Ojeda is not worth claiming.
Augie Ojeda, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksThursday 4/10, 8:46 AM CT
Augie Ojeda is quietly performing very well for the D-Backs so far, according to the East Valley Tribune. He has four hits over six brief at-bats this season. He started at shortstop on Wednesday, and collected three of his six hits. He got the start in place of Stephen Drew, who is nursing a quad ailment.
Augie Ojeda, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksThursday 12/6, 4:18 PM CT
The Diamondbacks avoided arbitration with Augie Ojeda and signed him to a one-year contract Thursday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Ojeda filled in at second base for Arizona last year after Orlando Hudson went down with an injury, hitting .274 with a .354 OBP in 113 at-bats. He'll serve in a reserve role in 2008.
Augie Ojeda, SS, Arizona DiamondbacksWednesday 9/26, 12:05 PM CT
Augie Ojeda has started seven straight games and appears to have a lock on the D'Backs second base job. He's hitting .292 over that span. "Augie's like an electric blanket," manager Bob Melvin said in the Arizona Republic. "You feel very secure about having him out there. You know he's going to give you a competitive at-bat. He understands how to hit down in the lineup, (in the) eight hole. . . . The way he's playing right now it's difficult not to have him in the lineup."
