Bobby Seay, P, Detroit TigersFriday 3/5, 5:20 PM CT
Bobby Seay will throw a pen session on Saturday, according to MLBblogs.com.

Our View: Seay is recovering from a sore left shoulder, and should be able to make Detroit's opening day roster as a reliever, assuming his shoulder doesn't get worse.

Bobby Seay is suffering from bursitis and tendinitis in his left shoulder, according to MLive.com.

Our View: He will take a break from spring training workouts as a result but is expected to be alright before long. The reliever should be fine heading into the 2010 season.
Bobby Seay, P, Detroit TigersTuesday 1/19, 4:16 PM CT
According to Jason Beck on Twitter, the Tigers avoided arbitration with reliever Bobby Seay on Tuesday, giving him a one-year deal worth $2.475 million.

Our View: Seay earns a nice chunk of change here considering he finished the season 6-3 with a 4.25 ERA and a 1.29 WHIP. He's a decent middle reliever, but seems extremely far removed from his 2.33 ERA in 2007.

MLBlogs.com reports that Tigers reliever Bobby Seay was able to work out on Saturday and his pectoral strain is improving.

Our View: Seay is expected to play catch on Sunday and, barring any setbacks, should be available out of the bullpen for Monday's critical game against the Twins. He has posted a 3.88 ERA in 48.2 innings this season.
Bobby Seay, P, Detroit TigersFriday 9/25, 3:38 PM CT
MLB.com's Jason Beck reports that Tigers lefty specialist Bobby Seay will be out at least through the weekend with a "mild strain of a minor pectoral muscle."

Our View: In 48.2 innings this season, Seay has posted a 3.88 ERA.
Bobby Seay, P, Detroit TigersWednesday 2/25, 2:53 PM CT
Bobby Seay recorded three strikeouts over one inning of work in Wednesday's 5-4 win over Atlanta.

Our View: Seay should be a solid source for strikeouts as a middle reliever this season, evidenced by today's performance in the exhibition opener.
Bobby Seay, P, Detroit TigersTuesday 1/20, 8:55 PM CT
The Detroit Free Press reports that the Tigers have agreed with lefty Bobby Seay on a one-year deal worth $1.3 million.

Our View: Seay was reliable a season ago, appearing in 60 games, and his number of strikeouts per nine innings is impressive, but his 1.49 WHIP was high for a pitcher who averaged less than an inning per outing.
Bobby Seay, P, Detroit TigersSaturday 3/24, 8:11 AM CT
Bobby Seay is making a strong case to win a relief job with the Tigers, according to the Detroit Free Press. He has posted a 0.93 ERA this spring, as he battles Chad Durbin and Zach Miner for the last spot in the bullpen.
