Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsThursday 3/18, 5:18 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez was scratched from Thursday's lineup due to soreness in his right triceps, according to MLB.com.

Our View: The injury is lasting a bit longer than anticipated. The Cubs could employ him in the DH role, but would like to use Xavier Nady in the spot, who is coming off Tommy John surgery. The star third baseman remains day-to-day.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsSaturday 3/13, 4:09 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez left today's game due to sore triceps, according to Gordon Wittenmyer's (Chicago Sun-Times) twitter page.

Our View: The ailment is minor, and Ramirez is day-to-day. This should not drop him down draft boards as of now.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsFriday 10/2, 5:05 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a single and an RBI in today's 12-3 loss to the Diamondbacks at Wrigley Field.

Our View: The Cubs only mustered seven hits, and did not have many highlights. Ramirez collected his 65th RBI in a 2009 campaign that was spoiled by injuries.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsTuesday 9/29, 6:29 PM CT
According to Carrie Muskat on Twitter, Aramis Ramirez has been held out of Tuesday's lineup with a sore shoulder.

Our View: Jeff Baker will take Ramirez's place at the hot corner tonight, but may see even more time there. This shoulder injury has plagued Aramis for a while and he may end up being shut down for the season.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsFriday 9/25, 8:03 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez has been scratched from tonight's lineup due to a sore shoulder, according to the Chicago Sun-Times on twitter.

Our View: Jeff Baker will cover the hot corner at Francisco, with Mike Fontenot slated at second. It was not disclosed when Ramirez may draw back into the lineup.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsWednesday 9/16, 10:46 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez hit his first home run since September 5th on Wednesday, but the Cubs still got handled easily by the Brewers at home, losing 9-5.

Our View: A-Ram has just two home runs in September, but is actually having a very solid month, batting .320 with 12 RBI.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsFriday 9/11, 4:37 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez went 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 6-4 win over Cincinnati at Wrigley Field. All three of his knocks were singles.

Our View: Ramirez raised his batting average to .315, and racked up seven RBI over his last five games.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsTuesday 9/8, 9:24 PM CT
With one of the Cubs' record tying eight straight first inning hits, Aramis Ramirez singled in two runs, helping the Cubbies shellack the Pirates 9-4 in Pittsburgh.

Our View: Ramirez now has an impressive 51 RBI in 65 games in his injury-shortened 2009, and doesn't appear to be slowing down at all at age 31.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsSaturday 8/29, 2:05 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez is feeling better since receiving a cortisone injection on his shoulder, according to MLBblogs.com.

Our View: This is good news, but Ramirez admitted that he will have to deal with pain for the remainder of the season, and won't be 100 percent until 2010. He is out of Saturday's lineup for a scheduled day off to rest.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsThursday 8/27, 4:26 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez homered and drove in three on Thursday, but couldn't prevent the Nationals from taking two out of three at Wrigley Field, as the Cubs lost 5-4.

Our View: The home run was only his second this month, and it is clear that his balky left shoulder is probably still not 100 percent.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsThursday 8/20, 12:12 AM CT
Aramis Ramirez had another big night at the dish on Wednesday as the Cubs pounded the Padres 7-1. Ramirez went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run, two runs scored, and three RBI.

Our View: A-Ram just seems to crush the ball every time he is in the lineup these days, but the problem is that he hasn't been able to do so. If he plays, he is one of the better fantasy third basemen in baseball, but you have to watch to make sure he is going to play.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsTuesday 8/18, 12:24 AM CT
Aramis Ramirez went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles, and recorded the Cubs' lone RBI in Monday's 4-1 loss at San Diego.

Our View: Ramirez ended a six-game drought without an RBI. He is hitting .222 over 27 at-bats this month, after holding a strong .333 average in July. He should get back on track when his sore shoulder feels better.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsSaturday 8/15, 12:05 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez will miss his second straight game with the flu on Saturday.

Our View: This will make seven straight games A-Ram will have missed with a sore shoulder or the flu. In the first six, the Cubs have gone 1-5.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsFriday 8/14, 1:46 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez, who has sat Chicago's last five games with a sore shoulder, had originally planned to play on Friday but was scratched from the Cubs' lineup with a bad cold, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Our View: It looks like you'll have to wait another day or two before seeing Ramirez back on the field, but at least he didn't suffer a setback to his shoulder.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsFriday 8/14, 12:22 PM CT
According to ESPN Chicago, Aramis Ramirez is back in the lineup for the Cubs in Friday's contest against Pittsburgh. He is slated to hit fourth.

Our View: Ramirez was given a cortisone shot on Monday and doctors decided that he wouldn't need surgery on the previously dislocated shoulder. He spent two months on the DL earlier this season because of it. There is a caveat though... Ramirez may end up being a late scratch Friday due to a head cold. At least it's unrelated.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsThursday 8/13, 12:56 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez will miss the Cubs' game against the Phillies on Thursday, but he said that he expects to return to the lineup Friday, according to MLBlogs.com. Ramirez has been out with soreness in his left shoulder.

Our View: A-Ram has been killing the ball since coming back from the shoulder injury a few weeks ago, but you have to wonder if his shoulder can hold up for another few months. Check back tomorrow to make sure he is in, but it looks like that will be the case.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsMonday 8/10, 9:19 AM CT
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Cubs' third baseman Aramis Ramirez could require a cortisone shot in his ailing left shoulder. Ramirez would be forced to miss at least two additional games if he were to get the shot.

Our View: Ramirez is hoping he won't need the shot, but if the pain persists he won't have much of a choice. The Cubs desperately need him in the lineup this week with series against LA and Philly, so look for him to be out there if at all possible.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsSunday 8/9, 1:24 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez (sore left shoulder) will not be in the Cubs lineup on Sunday, according to Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times.

Our View: Not good news for the Cubbie faithful. It's the same shoulder that shelved him for nearly two months earlier this season. He had been very hot of late, and the whole lineup had been hitting better with him back in it, so the team desperately needs this to be minor.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsSaturday 8/8, 11:24 PM CT
According to MLB.com, Aramis Ramirez left Saturday's game with a sore shoulder.

Our View: This is the same shoulder that cost him two months earlier this season, so this can't be a good sign for the banged up Cubbies (they lost Carlos Zambrano earlier today). We'll keep you posted.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsMonday 8/3, 9:18 AM CT
Aramis Ramirez could return to the Cubs' lineup for their Monday night game against the Reds, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Ramirez left Saturday's game after being hit with a pitch near his left elbow.

Our View: Ramirez said that he left the game Saturday after feeling dizzy from the pain, but he also mentioned that the injury is not serious. Look for him to go tonight, and he should be a safe play, especially against a Reds' staff that has been struggling as of late.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsSaturday 8/1, 10:45 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez went 2-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored in tonight's 9-8 win at Florida. He hit a single and a double.

Our View: Ramirez extended his hitting streak to nine games, and has 15 RBI over the span. He should continue to perform well among fantasy third basemen.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsWednesday 7/29, 4:21 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez homered for the second straight game on Wednesday, helping the Cubs pound the Astors 12-0 on at Wrigley Field.

Our View: Since getting off to a slow start after coming off the disabled list, Aramis and his shoulder have looked like the old Aramis. As long as you kept him stashed, he'll be helping you out big time down the stretch.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsTuesday 7/28, 11:04 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez pounded a three-run homer in the bottom of the fifth on Tuesday, but his team ultimately fell to the Astros 11-6. Ramirez was 1-for-4 on the night with two runs scored and the three RBI.

Our View: Aramis has been scorching as of late, and he is one of the big reasons for the Cubs sudden surge. The team will need him to keep hitting, especially if they are going to get starts like they did tonight from their rotation. Ramirez is hitting .336 on the year with eight homers.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsFriday 7/24, 4:34 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez carried the Cubs in Friday's 8-5 win over the Reds at Wrigley Field, as he went 4-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored. He hit two doubles and a solo homer off Aaron Harang.

Our View: Ramirez raised his season average to .325, and has five RBI over his last two games. His homer was the 255th of his career.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsWednesday 7/22, 4:16 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez had his first multiple RBI game since coming off the disabled list on Wednesday, driving in two in the Cubs 10-5 victory over the Phillies.

Our View: While his shoulder is obviously still not 100 percent, A-Ram is slowly coming around, and should likely put up big numbers down the stretch.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsFriday 7/17, 9:36 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez only had one hit on Friday, but it was a big fly as the Cubs downed the Nationals by a score of 3-1. Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a home run, a run scored, and an RBI in the win.

Our View: Aramis has been good since returning from the DL, and the Cubs are going to need him to be big in the second half if they are going to make a run. He is getting the job done now, but he will have to stay healthy to contribute for fantasy owners.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsSaturday 7/11, 6:02 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a single and an RBI in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Cardinals at Wrigley Field. He also scored a run.

Our View: Ramirez has a hit in four straight games, and collected his first RBI since coming off the DL.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsMonday 7/6, 9:19 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez (shoulder) went 0-for-4 in his return from the DL on Monday.

Our View: It should come as no surprise the Ramirez went hitless in his first MLB action in nearly two months. Expect him to get back to form before too long.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsMonday 7/6, 5:46 PM CT
As expected, the Cubs activated Aramis Ramirez (shoulder) from the DL on Monday, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Our View: Aramis will start for the Cubs tonight. He may take a bit of time to get back into the swing of things, but he's consistently been one of the top-hitting third basemen for the past half decade, so it wouldn't be at all crazy to start him in your lineup this week if you can still make the change.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsMonday 7/6, 9:20 AM CT
Aramis Ramirez is expected to be activated from the disabled list and to rejoin the team on Monday, according to the Arlington Heights Daily Herald.

Our View: At long last. The Cubs' slugging third baseman has been out 50 games with a dislocated left shoulder. The North Siders have gone just 24-26 during his absence, and often seen their offense grind to a halt. His return should greatly bolster their struggling lineup, and serve as the big second half acquisition your fantasy team has been waiting for. He is returning from a serious shoulder injury, however, and all of his power might not be there at first. Give him some time to get going before you start him every day.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsMonday 6/29, 8:21 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez is set to begin his minor league rehab assignment on Thursday, according to the Chicago Tribune. He has been recovering from a dislocated left shoulder.

Our View: Manager Lou Piniellia anticipates Ramirez needing three or four rehab games, meaning he could return to Chicago before the All-Star break, assuming he does not suffer a setback.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsFriday 6/26, 6:42 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez, who is recovering from a dislocated left shoulder, is hoping to begin a minor league rehab assignment soon, according to MLB.com.

Our View: Ramirez was able to take batting practice prior to today's game against the White Sox. Skipper Lou Piniella believes Ramirez will need three or four rehab games, and maybe serve as a DH once before returning to Chicago. The star third baseman could be back in action before the All-Star break, barring a setback.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsTuesday 6/23, 7:24 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez will likely take live batting practice Friday, according to MLB.com. He is recovering from a dislocated left shoulder.

Our View: He amped up his rehab, and is feeling much better. The third baseman is still hopeful of returning to Chicago before the All-Star break.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsWednesday 6/17, 1:58 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez is nearly ready to begin taking batting practice according to MLB.com.

Our View: A-Ram has been out since May 8, and any news regarding his recovery is good news for the Cubs, who have been crippled offensively in his absence. He says he hopes to be back before the All-Star break.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsMonday 6/1, 11:31 AM CT
The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that Aramis Ramirez may need offseason surgery on his shoulder. At this point, Ramirez is still on pace to return to the team after the All-Star break.

Our View: The timetable on Ramirez' return hasn't changed, but this is the first we have heard about surgery in the offseason. If his shoulder is still in bad shape when he returns, his power numbers could suffer. He was solid before the injury, but his stock upon his return remains in question.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsThursday 5/14, 10:41 AM CT
Aramis Ramirez indicated that he is still experiencing pain from his separated shoulder, according to the Daily Herald.

Our View: He expects it to hurt for a while, but is able to do exercises. He will be on the shelf until at least early July.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsSaturday 5/9, 10:04 AM CT
Updating an earlier report, Aramis Ramirez is expected to miss at least 4-6 weeks after suffering a separated shoulder in Friday's game against Milwaukee, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Our View: The newly acquired Ryan Freel could help replace Ramirez at third base, as well as Mike Fontenot and Aaron Miles. It is uncertain who may get the bulk of the starts as of now.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsSaturday 5/9, 6:58 AM CT
Aramis Ramirez suffered a disclocated shoulder while diving for a ball in Friday's battle with the Brewers, according to MLB.com.

Our View: Ramirez will be placed on the 15-day DL, and skipper Lou Piniella is yet to name Ramirez's replacement at third base.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsWednesday 5/6, 10:07 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez was 2-for-4 with a solo home run as the Cubs defeated the Astros 6-3 on Wednesday.

Our View: This was just his second start since a calf injury sidelined him on April 24. He has 15 RBI through 16 games and he should continue to be the top RBI-man on the Cubs.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsSaturday 5/2, 11:38 AM CT
Third baseman Aramis Ramirez (calf) is out of the lineup again on Saturday. Manager Lou Piniella informs the Chicago Tribune that Ramirez "told me he was feeling better, so hopefully very soon we'll have him out there playing." Ramirez injured his left calf on April 24.

Our View: The Cubs continue to refuse to simply put A-Ram on the DL and let the calf heal up completely. He remains day-to-day.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsFriday 5/1, 11:55 AM CT
Third baseman Aramis Ramirez (calf) is out of the lineup again on Friday, the Chicago Tribune reports. The team is still hopeful that he can return during the weekend. Mike Fontenot will start at third base.

Our View: This will make seven straight games on the bench for Aramis. Fantasy owners should probably plan on keeping him out through the weekend, as we're worried that he could be limited when he does return.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsThursday 4/30, 8:17 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez will not head to the DL after undergoing an MRI recently, according to MLB.com. He is dealing with a left calf strain and GM Jim Hendry expects him to be back in action in a few days.

Our View: This is certainly good news as Ramirez has turned into an RBI-machine in Chicago. Without him, their offense has struggled badly. Expect him back at some point next week.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsThursday 4/30, 8:36 AM CT
The Cubs may place Aramis Ramirez on the 15-day DL today due to his strained left calf, according to BleacherNation.com.

Our View: He will try to run today, and could be shut down if his calf does not show improvement. 31-year-old vet Bobby Scales would likely get promoted from the minors to cover Ramirez's spot on the roster.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsWednesday 4/29, 8:52 AM CT
Third baseman Aramis Ramirez took batting practice on Tuesday, but his sore left calf continues to keep him out of the lineup. "He couldn't accelerate at all," manager Lou Piniella informs the Chicago Tribune. "I think the plan is we're going to wait until Thursday and have him run again in Chicago. If it's not any better by then, we're going to have to weigh all our options."

Our View: This injury has turned out to be worse than reports suggested over the weekend. Ramirez has already missed four games, and it sounds like he could land on the DL if he doesn't feel better by Thursday.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsSunday 4/26, 1:44 PM CT
Third baseman Aramis Ramirez (calf) remained out of the starting lineup on Friday, but he could return as soon as Monday, MLB.com reports.

Our View: The Cubs play seven times in the coming week, and even four or five games out of A-Ram is probably better than your backup plan.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsSaturday 4/25, 11:24 AM CT
Aramis Ramirez will not be in the Cubs' lineup on Saturday as a result of his strained calf, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Our View: There is no word yet on whether or not this injury is of the day-to-day variety or something more severe. With Milton Bradley down with a groin injury, the club can sorely afford to lose Ramirez who is hitting .358 with 14 RBI in just 13 games this season.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsFriday 4/24, 8:43 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez left the game against the Cardinals Friday night with an apparent calf strain. The extent of the injury is currently unknown.

Our View: Stay tuned to find out the severity of the injury. Ramirez was replaced by Aaron Miles in the Cubs' lineup.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsTuesday 4/21, 10:42 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez was 3-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored as the Cubs beat the Reds 7-2 on Tuesday.

Our View: Ramirez has eight RBI in his last three games and is clearly seeing the ball well early on in the season. He has 14 RBI through 10 games in 2009.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsSaturday 4/18, 6:44 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez was 0-for-5 when he stepped to the plate in the bottom of the 11th inning Saturday, but all was forgotten when he hit a Dennys Reyes meatball out of the park for a two-run homer and walk-off win over the rival Cardinals.

Our View: Ramirez now has 3 home runs and 11 RBI on the season and loves feasting on Cardinal pitching. He started slow, but has racked up six hits and five RBI so far in the series against St. Louis.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsFriday 4/17, 4:35 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez had a monster day at the plate for the Cubs on Friday, going 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and three RBI. He bumped his average up to .364 for the year.

Our View: Ramirez is seeing the ball well to start the 2009 campaign. He only has two homers, but his nine RBI are very impressive. If he stays healthy he could be one of the top third baseman offensively in the league.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsThursday 4/16, 11:43 AM CT
The Chicago Tribune reports that Aramis Ramirez will be in the Cubs starting lineup on Thursday. He sat out Wednesday's game for precautionary reasons with a stiff back.

Our View: This is good news for Ramirez fans. The third baseman stands a good chance of being a Top 5 player at his position once again this season. He has six RBI and two home runs through his first six games this season.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsWednesday 4/15, 12:04 PM CT
The Chicago Tribune is reporting that Aramis Ramirez will be out for Wednesday's game against the Rockies, but manager Lou Pinella is not worried. "He's still a little stiff," Piniella said. "He's better, but one more day won't do any harm."

Our View: This is just precautionary for Ramirez, and as Sweet Lou said, nothing to worry about. Mike Fontenot will start at third in Ramirez's place with Aaron Miles starting at second. Expect Ramirez back for the Cubs' next game.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsMonday 4/13, 1:39 PM CT
According to MLB.com, Aramis Ramirez is not in the lineup today due to stiffness in his back. He is expected to be back in the lineup for tomorrow's game.

Our View: This doesn't seem to be anything to worry about for fantasy owners. Ramirez has started off well this season, and he should be back in the lineup tomorrow.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsWednesday 4/8, 11:51 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez had a monster day at the plate Wednesday as the Cubs ripped the Astros 11-6. He finished the day 4-for-6 with four RBI. He now has five on the young season.

Our View: Ramirez's numbers aren't what they were three seasons ago, but he's still a solid fantasy option at third. The Cubs will score a lot of runs this season and it's a safe bet that Ramirez will be in on it quite a bit.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsTuesday 3/3, 6:50 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez hit a three-run bomb Tuesday in the fourth inning of Chicago's 6-4 win over Oakland.

Our View: With plenty of protection in front of and behind him, the 30-year-old Ramirez is primed to have another solid, if not spectacular, season in 2009. Barring injury, he should be able to surpass last year's total of 74 walks, which was a career-high, and threaten 2008's total of 27 home runs.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsWednesday 2/4, 8:20 AM CT
Aramis Ramirez will not represent the Dominican Republic in the upcoming World Baseball Classic, according to ESPN Deportes.

Our View: He is not nursing an injury or concerned with getting hurt, and he pulled out of the WBC because he does not want to back up Alex Rodriguez at third.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsSunday 10/26, 4:59 PM CT
The Chicago Tribune reports that Aramis Ramirez is expected to be named winner of the National League Hank Aaron Award, presented by major league baseball for offensive statistics, prior to Game 4 of the World Series Sunday night.

Our View: Ramirez hit .289 with 27 homers and 111 RBI. He is a surprise winner, considering he did not even have the best offensive statistics in the National League at his position, third base. The Mets' David Wright hit 33 homers and drove in 124 runs while hitting .302. And Ramirez's numbers pale in comparison to the Cardinals' Albert Pujols, who hit .357 with 37 homers and 116 RBI. But for the first time, fans voting at MLB.com picked the winner, which explains the reason Ramirez won.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsTuesday 9/30, 8:41 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez has been the most consistent power bat in a stacked Cubs lineup all season, according to the Cubs Official Website. "He's been our anchor all year and without him we wouldn't be in this position," teammate Jim Edmonds said. "He's about as solid a No. 4 hitter as you get in this league."

Our View: Ramirez set career bests with 44 doubles, 74 walks and a .380 OBP. He also hit .423 in "late and close" situations to lead baseball, on his way to socking 27 dingers while driving in 111 runs. He will be a key cog in the Cubs attempt to end their massive World Series drought.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsWednesday 9/24, 10:26 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez hit a 10th-inning home run on Wednesday to propel the Cubs to a 9-6 victory over the Mets. He drew three walks in the game and finished the night 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Our View: The slimmed down 2008 version of Ramirez has not lost much of his power. His 27 home runs and 11 RBI are more than last season's totals.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsWednesday 9/17, 10:48 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez finally hit his 25th home run on Wednesday night in the Cubs' 6-1 loss to the Brewers. The home run was Ramirez's first one since August 28.

Our View: Ramirez has had a home run drought in the last few weeks but he continues to drive in runs. His RBI total is up to 108 on the year and his average is climbing to .285.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsTuesday 9/9, 10:19 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez has been taking some criticism about his defense lately but he has not been taking the fielding woes to the plate. Ramirez was 3-for-4 with two RBI on Tuesday in a losing effort against the Cardinals.

Our View: Ramirez has been solid all year with over 100 RBI and 24 home runs.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsMonday 9/8, 10:14 AM CT
Aramis Ramirez returned to the Cubs' lineup Sunday after being taken out of Saturday's game as a precaution for the quadriceps tightness he has been battling lately, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Our View: Ramirez should be kept in lineups this week and should remain a solid source of homers (24) and RBI (100). The Cubs are off today and start a three-game set at St. Louis on Tuesday.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsSaturday 8/30, 6:23 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez went 1-for-4 and recorded his 100th RBI of the season in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Phillies at Wrigley Field.

Our View: Ramirez has reached at least 100 RBI in three straight seasons with the Cubs.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsThursday 8/28, 11:26 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez hit a game-winning grand slam in the bottom of the eighth inning on Thursday night for the Cubs.

Our View: Ramirez is hitting .283-24-99 on the year in yet another in a long line of excellent campaigns from the third base position. With just two more home runs, Ramirez will have his sixth straight season of 26 dongs and 92 RBI.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsSaturday 8/23, 3:35 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez went 3-for-5 and generated six RBI in Saturday's 9-2 win over the Nationals on the north side of Chicago. He had a single and two three-run homers.

Our View: Ramirez has hit homers in five of his last six games, with seven over the span.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsSunday 8/17, 3:59 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez went 2-for-4 and chipped in two RBI in Sunday's 9-2 win over Florida.

Our View: Ramirez was out of Saturday's linuep due to a bruised right hip, but he was not bothered by the ailment in Sunday's return. That was his fifth multi-hit effort over his last six games.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsSaturday 8/16, 5:28 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez is out of the lineup again on Saturday night due to a bruised left hip, the Palm Beach Post reports. Mark DeRosa will start at third base. Ramirez remains day-to-day.

Our View: The injury comes at a bad time, as A-Ram is hitting .390 in August. Ramirez has surpassed 145 games only once in the past four seasons, but he still has a shot to hit that total this year. Let's hope Aramis can get and stay healthy over the final weeks.
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago CubsFriday 8/15, 5:57 PM CT
Aramis Ramirez is out of Friday's lineup due to a bruised left hip, according to MLB.com. He was injured last night on a slide at home. Ramirez is available to pinch hit.
