Marlon Anderson, LF, New York MetsSaturday 4/11, 2:41 PM CT
As expected, the Mets designated Marlon Anderson for assignment Saturday. The move was made to clear a roster spot for Livan Hernandez.

Our View: Anderson will likely catch on somewhere if he refuses to go to Triple-A, but he won't be a factor in fantasy wherever he ends up.

Livan Hernandez will have his contract purchased and make the start for the Mets today, meaning someone has to be cut. That someone will most likely be Marlon Anderson, according to MetsBlog.com.

Our View: This move would make the most sense for the team, as Anderson has just four at-bats so far and since he has played very little on the infield in recent years, his versatility isn't as useful as it once was.

Marlon Anderson, LF, New York MetsSaturday 5/24, 4:39 PM CT
The Mets placed Marlon Anderson on the DL Saturday with a strained left hamstring. Nick Evans was brought up from from Double-A Binghamton to replace him on the roster.

Our View: The Mets outfield is really banged up. Evans started in left field Saturday, while Fernando Tatis got the start in right field. Endy Chavez should be in line for most of the playing time in left while Moises Alou is out.
