Mike DeJean performed terribly on Tuesday against a bunch of minor leaguers in a split-squad game versus the Reds. Mike DeJean continues to progress in his recovery from shoulder surgery. He's allowed three runs over 4 1/3 innings while making three appearances for Double-A Tulsa, according to the Rocky Mountain News. "His velocity is moving forward steadily," manager Clint Hurdle said. "There have been no red flags." It appears that DeJean could be available for big league action at some point in June.

Mike DeJean is now ahead of schedule in his recovery from shoulder surgery, according to the Denver Post. He's been throwing 40-pitch simulated games and hopes to begin a rehab assignment in two weeks. "The sharpness of my pitches is there," DeJean said. "I need to brush up on my mechanics and build up arm strength." DeJean is recovering from a procedure that repaired a torn labrum in his shoulder.
