Donnie Sadler has been suspended 50 games for violating the minor league's drug policy. Apparently he didn't test positive for steroids; it's believed that it was marijuana, according to the Arizona Republic. He played just one game with the Diamondbacks this season and sported a .214 batting average with Triple-A Tucson.

The Diamondbacks designated Donnie Sadler for assignment on Thursday. He was just recalled on Friday. The club now has 10 days to trade, waive or release Sadler.

The Diamondbacks recalled Donnie Sadler from Triple-A Tucson on Friday to replace Alberto Callaspo, who was placed on the restricted list after his arrest on suspicion of assaulting his wife, according to the Arizona Republic. He was hitting .255 with a homer and two steals in 51 Triple-A at-bats.
