Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 11/6, 1:26 PM CT
Brewers GM Doug Melvin said on Friday that outfielder Mike Cameron will not be back with the team in 2010 after the club acquired Carlos Gomez in a trade earlier in the day, according to Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Our View: Cameron had a solid season at age 36 in 2009, batting .250 with 24 home runs and 70 RBI. He should find plenty of potential suitors this winter.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersMonday 10/5, 10:15 AM CT
Mike Cameron is dealing with a minor concussion after making a diving catch in St. Louis on Sunday, according to MLBlogs.com.

Our View: Cameron has suffered numerous concussions during his 15-year career. After hitting .250 with 24 home runs and 70 RBI in 2009, Cameron is a free agent this offseason.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersMonday 9/21, 11:02 PM CT
Mike Cameron went 2-for-4 with a pair of solo homers off Tom Gorzelanny in Monday's 10-2 loss to the Cubs at Miller Park.

Our View: Cameron ended a 16-game drought without a homer, and did so with a vengeance tonight. He now has 21 homers for the season.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 9/11, 7:22 PM CT
Mike Cameron is set to return to the Brewers' lineup tonight at Arizona following his bout with a strained right hamstring, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Our View: He will roam in center field and bat second in the order. Opposing hurler Doug Davis has a 3.81 ERA, and Cameron should be fine for fantasy duty.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersMonday 9/7, 9:14 PM CT
Mike Cameron is expected to remain on the shelf until at least Friday while recovering from a strained right hamstring, according to MLBblogs.com.

Our View: Cameron noted that the injury is bad, and is spasming right now. The Brewers have Corey Patterson, Jody Gerut and Jason Bourgeois all available to roam in center field, meaning Cameron should not be rushed back into action.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 8/28, 9:03 AM CT
According to FoxSports.com, four Brewers' players have cleared waivers and could be possible trade targets for teams. Mike Cameron, Jason Kendall, Braden Looper, and Craig Counsell are the player who have cleared.

Our View: Cameron, Kendall, and Counsell are all free agents after this season, so their trade value is decent at this point. Contending teams may be interested in any of the three veterans to either fill starting or bench roles, so don't be shocked if any of them gets moved. As bad as Looper has been this season, it seems unlikely that anyone will be willing to take him on for this year and next, so expect him to stay.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 7/29, 10:24 PM CT
Mike Cameron paced the Brewers to a 7-5 win over the Nationals on Wednesday, going 3-for-3 with a home run.

Our View: Cameron is batting just .256 with 14 home runs this season, and is a fringe option at outfield in mixed leagues.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersSunday 7/12, 6:09 PM CT
Mike Cameron went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI in the Brewers' 7-4 loss to the Dodgers on Sunday.

Our View: Cameron has been red hot in July with a .394 average and nine RBI, which is helping to make up for a miserable June where he hit just .153.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 7/9, 4:18 PM CT
Mike Cameron went 1-for-3 with a single, and recorded the Brewers' lone RBI in Thursday's 5-1 loss to the Cardinals at Miller Park.

Our View: The Brewers only mustered three hits in the game. Cameron has a hit in five straight games, but only has one RBI over the span.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 7/2, 11:17 PM CT
Mike Cameron went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored in tonight's 9-5 loss at Chicago. He hit a single, double and a two-run homer off Ryan Dempster.

Our View: Cameron ended a 19-game drought without a homer, and has 13 for the season. Tonight's shot was his sixth away from Miller Park.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 6/23, 10:50 PM CT
Mike Cameron had his first multi-RBI game since June 7 on Tuesday, but the Brewers fell 7-3 to the Twins.

Our View: After starting out very hot in 2009, Cameron has come way down to earth, and is now batting only .248. He still has reasonable power, but is not the greatest option at outfield. You may want to explore other options if you are an owner.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersSunday 6/21, 11:43 AM CT
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that Mike Cameron is back in the lineup Sunday after serving his one-game suspension.

Our View: Feel free to get Cameron back in your lineup. He's not having the best of fantasy campaigns, but can still help in the power department. He has 12 homers and 12 doubles.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 6/19, 5:30 PM CT
Mike Cameron's two-game suspension has been trimmed down to one game following his appeal hearing, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. He was suspended for making contact with an umpire in Atlanta.

Our View: Cameron will play Friday at Detroit, and will serve his suspension tomorrow. Adjust your lineups accordingly.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 6/11, 11:41 AM CT
Mike Cameron is not in the Brewers starting lineup today against the Rockies as manager Ken Macha is giving him and other slumping players the day off according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Our View: Cameron is just 4-for-25 in June and has only one home run and two RBIs. You might want to consider benching him until he emerges from this funk.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 6/9, 11:37 AM CT
Digital Sports Daily is reporting that Brewers' center fielder Mike Cameron has been suspended two games and fined an undisclosed amount of money for his actions in the ninth inning of Saturday's game at Atlanta. Cameron has filed an appeal, so he will be able to play Tuesday when the Brewers take on the Rockies at Miller Park.

Our View: Cameron made contact with an umpire while arguing a call on Saturday, and the league hit him with the suspension after reviewing the incident. These suspension appeals usually take forever, so Cameron should be safe in fantasy lineups for awhile unless he drops the appeal at some point.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 6/3, 3:37 PM CT
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Mike Cameron is back in the lineup for Wednesday's game after missing a game with shoulder and knee soreness.

Our View: Cameron will start in center field and hit fifth behind Prince Fielder. He is good to insert back into fantasy lineups.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 6/2, 6:32 PM CT
Updating an earlier report, Mike Cameron is not in tonight's lineup due to his knee ailment, according to MLBblogs.com.

Our View: Jody Gerut replaces him in center field. Cameron should be held out of fantasy lineups until further notice.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 6/2, 11:20 AM CT
MLB.com is reporting that Mike Cameron will have his left knee re-evaluated Tuesday after his tendinitis flared up "more than normal" in Monday night's game. It is not known yet whether he will play Tuesday night or not.

Our View: The prognosis sounds iffy, and with Cameron's injury history it appears as if he will probably miss Tuesday night's game, if not a few more. Jody Gerut (1 for 11 in a Brewer uniform) will get the start should Cameron not be able to go.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersMonday 6/1, 9:13 PM CT
Mike Cameron left Monday's game at Florida with knee irritation, according to MLBblogs.com.

Our View: The ailment is believed to be minor, and Cameron is considered day-to-day.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersSunday 5/31, 6:33 PM CT
Mike Cameron left the park for the second-straight day on Sunday, going 2-for-4 with his 11th home run and three RBI.

Our View: While his .286 batting average is likely to dip, Cameron continues to provide fine power at the plate, while his speed should start to pick up as well. He's one of just four players since the turn of the century with at least 200 home runs and 200 stolen bases, joined by Alfonso Soriano, Carlos Beltran and Bobby Abreu.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersSunday 5/24, 10:27 PM CT
Mike Cameron's homer in the fourth inning of Sunday's game put him in an elite club. He became the 20th player in Major League history to join the 250 homer/250 stolen base club.

Our View: This is an impressive feat and a very nice moment for Cameron in his career. Unfortunately it came in a 6-3 loss that saw the Brewers get swept by the Twins. Cameron was 1-for-4 on the day and now has nine homers this season.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 4/30, 10:46 PM CT
Mike Cameron went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Our View: Cameron looks like a new hitter at the plate this season. He has drawn 13 walks to go with his 14 strikeouts, and the result is a batting line of .333/.430/.667. He has never been much of a source for batting average or on-base percentage, but he is off to a good start through 20 games. However, we have our doubts that he'll be able to keep up this sort of production going forward, so temper your expectations.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 4/29, 11:10 AM CT
Outfielder Mike Cameron will have the day off on Wednesday. Chris Duffy will take his place against Ian Snell and the Pirates.

Our View: Cameron is having an excellent April, but we suppose it's best to rest the 36-year-old when possible. He is not injured.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersSunday 4/26, 5:14 PM CT
Mike Cameron was 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI in the Brewers' 3-2 loss to the Astros.

Our View: Cameron is showing some nice pop in the early goings this season. He now has seven doubles and four homers and is hitting .328. More than half his hits on the season have gone for extra bases.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 4/16, 12:47 AM CT
Mike Cameron had a perfect day at the plate on Wednesday, going3-for-3 with two home runs, three runs and three RBI in the Brewers' 9-3 win over the Reds.

Our View: Cameron still has some pop in his bat and can help fantasy owners in the speed and power categories. His legs aren't rusty yet as he's already swiped two bags this season.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 4/9, 12:37 AM CT
Mike Cameron was 1-for-3 on Wednesday, but his one hit was a solo home run that helped sink the Giants as the Brew Crew won 4-2.

Our View: Cameron can still run and he still has some pop in his bat. He's not the player he once was, but he can still help your fantasy team. A 20-20 season is not out of reach.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 4/7, 7:23 PM CT
Mike Cameron had a nice day at the plate on Tuesday in Milwaukee's 10-6 road loss at San Francisco. He was 1-for-1 with four walks and a pair of runs scored.

Our View: Cameron was a terror on the basepaths, as his four walks led to two stolen bases. Now he needs just 16 more to surpass his total from a season ago.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 3/26, 7:14 PM CT
Mike Cameron was 1-for-4 on Thursday. His only hit of the contest was a solo home run. His third of the spring.

Our View: Cameron is a decent power-speed option in deeper leagues and NL-only leagues, but that .243 average he put up last year can hurt in rotisserie leagues.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 3/19, 4:40 PM CT
ESPN.com reports that the Yankees have once again looked into the availability of center fielder Mike Cameron. The team nearly acquired him back in December, but elected to pass.

Our View: At this point, it looks as if Brett Gardner will be the opening day center fielder with Melky Cabrera backing him up. The Yankees have some major issues on defense, and while Cameron is a good fielder, he's not much better than Gardner. The team would be better off trying to upgrade the defense at positions manned by some bigger stars.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 3/12, 1:09 PM CT
MLB.com reports that Mike Cameron tweaked a muscle in his rib cage Wednesday during relay drills. The team is not sure of the extent of his injury, but he has been restricted from doing anything baseball related for the time being.

Our View: Hopefully this isn't too serious for Cameron, as he is a nice source of power and speed for your lineup. However, that average can get you into trouble.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersSunday 1/11, 10:28 AM CT
In an ongoing, yet slow moving, story, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the Yankees still have interest in Mike Cameron. However, Brewers GM Doug Melvin is not motivated to move him.

Our View: Other reports have indicated the Yankees are no longer interested in him, as they suddenly have a surplus of outfielders. The Yankees don't have a reliable option in center, and it's not unfathomable that they attain opt for an overpaid player like Cameron.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 1/9, 9:12 AM CT
The Yankees are believed to be losing interest in Brewers' outfielder Mike Cameron, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

Our View: Melky Cabrera has fared very well in winterball, and the club also seems content with Brett Gardner competing with him in center field.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 12/19, 1:08 PM CT
There is further confirmation that Mike Cameron is not likely bound for the Bronx, according to the NY Post. Brewers' GM Doug Melvin stated, "Yankees' GM Brian Cashman basically just wanted to tell me why he hadn't called. He said he has had a lot of things going on. I told him we're probably going to hang on to Mike."

Our View: Cameron would have looked good in pinstripes, but could still hold favorable fantasy value with a solid Brewers' club in 2009, namely in the power department.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 12/18, 1:16 PM CT
ESPN.com reports that Brewers general manager Doug Melvin said the Mike Cameron to the Yankees trade talks are dead. "[Cashman] had called me on an idea, and I got back to him with another idea, and we haven't heard from each other since. I assume what we're talking about is no longer alive, and that's fine. I'm not upset; that's just how deals are," Melvin said.

Our View: It sounds as if the Brewers have no problem with Cameron starting in center field, although he brings big strikeout totals, a declining glove and a .243 batting average from last season.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 12/16, 4:14 PM CT
The Star-Ledger reports that the Yankees and Brewers have a tentative deal in place to send Mike Cameron to New York for Melky Cabrera, but the Yankees think that they don't have to rush the deal.

Our View: The Yankees probably can take their time here, as Cameron hasn't been drawing interest from other clubs. If they're truly interested in signing Mark Teixeira then he will be their priority, not Cameron.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersMonday 12/15, 8:07 PM CT
The New York Times reports that the Yankees are backing away from a potential Melky Cabrera-for- Mike Cameron trade with the Milwaukee Brewers. The reason they are shying away are apparently baseball related and not financially related.

Our View: Maybe they just noticed Cameron is turning 36, struck out 142 times in 444 at-bats and hit .243 last season. Not only that, but it was clear in the playoffs that his defense has certainly taken a turn for the worse.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersMonday 12/15, 12:11 PM CT
The Yankees are expected to resume trade talks regarding Mike Cameron today, according to Jon Heyman of Sports Illustrated.

Our View: The Yankees still want the Brewers to either absorb a few million of Cameron's $10 million salary or take some of Kei Igawa's contract, but the Brewers do not want to do that.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 12/11, 5:47 PM CT
A hurdle has been cleared in the proposed deal that would send Mike Cameron to the Yankees in exchange for Melky Cabrera, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Our View: This deal could happen as early as tomorrow morning. We'll keep you posted.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 12/11, 11:10 AM CT
The Yankees were nearing a deal to acquire Mike Cameron from the Brewers, but negotiations are on hold as the Brewers don't want to pay a portion of his $10 million salary, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

Our View: The Brewers are also asking for a second player in addition to Melky Cabrera. It remains to be seen if the two clubs can work this out.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 12/11, 7:54 AM CT
The Yankees are gearing up to add Mike Cameron to their outfield, according to ESPN.

Our View: The Yankees are expected to ship Melky Cabrera to Milwaukee. The Yankees are willing to part with Cabrera as the club views Austin Jackson as their future starter in center field. Cameron would be a solid stopgap until Jackson is ready, as Cameron blasted 25 homers over 120 games in 2008.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 12/11, 1:06 AM CT
The Newark Star-Ledger reports that the Yankees and Brewers are once again discussing a trade that would bring Mike Cameron to Yankee Stadium. The teams discussed this deal last month at the GM meetings, but the Brewers were holding off on doing anything with any of their players until CC Sabathia made his decision.

Our View: Melky Cabrera and Wilson Betemit could be a couple of the Yankees whom the Brewers have interest. Cameron hit 25 home runs with 70 RBI in 120 games last season. He also struck out 142 times.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 11/6, 7:18 AM CT
The Yankees have inquired about Brewers' slugger Mike Cameron, according to the NY Post.

Our View: The Brewers are weighing the idea of dealing the outfielder, and the club has been asking about Melky Cabrera, trying to determine why he struggled in 2008. The Brewers also reportedly did research on Wilson Betemit.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersMonday 11/3, 11:03 AM CT
The Brewers have exercised Mike Cameron's club option for 2009, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: The 35-year-old slugger will be paid $10 million for the upcoming season. He blasted 25 homers over 120 games for Milwaukee in 2008.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 10/23, 8:54 AM CT
The New York Yankees would be interested in signing center fielder Mike Cameron if Milwaukee does not pick up his option, according to the New York Post.

Our View: Cameron would represent an upgrade both offensively and defensively in center field. He hit 25 home runs with 70 RBI, stole 17 bases, but his average was just .243.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 10/10, 10:59 AM CT
The Milwaukee Brewers have yet to decide whether or not they will pick up the option on center fielder Mike Cameron's contract, and will wait until they decide what to do with GM Doug Melvin, according to Buster Olney of ESPN.com.

Our View: The Brewers have five days following the World Series to make up their minds. The option is for one year at $10 million, which is a bit pricey for a guy who hit .243 and struck out 142 times in just 444 at-bats, which is nearly once every three ABs.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersSaturday 10/4, 4:53 PM CT
Mike Cameron will be with the Brewers for Saturday’s Game 3 of the NLDS against the Phillies even though his wife underwent an emergency surgery on the previous day, according to the AP. Cameron left the team early Friday when he discovered that his pregnant wife was forced to undergo an unexpected C-section in Atlanta, delivering a baby girl.

Our View: Cameron is expected to be in tonight's lineup as the Brewers try to ward off elimination while trailing Philadelphia 2-0 in a best-of-five series.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 10/3, 10:33 AM CT
The New York Yankees may be interested in having current Milwaukee center fielder Mike Cameron man the same position for them next season, according to the New York Post.

Our View: Milwaukee won't pick up the $10 million option on Cameron's contract after the season, which will make him a free agent. Still a quality defender, Cameron also hit 25 home runs and stole 17 bases this year.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 9/24, 5:10 PM CT
Mike Cameron will bat leadoff tonight for the ninth time this season according to the Journal-Sentinel. He is 10-for-15 with three home runs against Paul Maholm.

Our View: Cameron is hitting .239 on the season so he seems to be a bizarre leadoff selection. However, he clearly has owned Maholm to date so we'll see if manager Dale Sveum's decision pays off.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 9/16, 3:03 PM CT
In the first notable change from Ned Yost to Dale Sveum, the Brewers interim manager has center fielder Mike Cameron hitting leadoff for the team's game against the Cubs, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Our View: This seems like an odd choice, as Cameron is noted for his strikeouts, and his OBP, .335, is mediocre. The paper also notes that Cameron does not have good success against the Cubs starter, Ryan Dempster, as he has just three hits in 13 at-bats (.231) off of the right-hander in his career.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 9/9, 11:39 PM CT
Mike Cameron returned to the Brewers lineup on Monday and on Tuesday he wishes he was still on the bench. Cameron was 0-for-5 with three punch-outs and he stranded six runners on base.

Our View: Cameron has had some nagging knee problems but has showed some good power with 24 home runs for fantasy owners.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersMonday 9/8, 12:00 PM CT
Mike Cameron, who is recovering from a sore knee, is expected to rejoin the Brewers' lineup Monday, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Our View: He missed his second straight game Sunday, but it appears that fantasy owners can pencil him into their lineup for the new fantasy week. He has been a favorable source of power this season with 24 homers.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersSaturday 9/6, 5:32 PM CT
Mike Cameron has been scratched from the Brewers' lineup on Saturday due to a sore knee according to the Journal-Sentinel. Gabe Kapler replaces him in the lineup.

Our View: The injury is not considered serious and Cameron should be back in action soon.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersSaturday 8/30, 9:35 PM CT
Mike Cameron went 2-for-4 with four RBI in Saturday's 11-3 win over the Pirates. He registered a double and a three-run homer.

Our View: Cameron collected his 24th homer of the season, with three coming over his last seven games. He should remain a solid source of power in NL-only leagues down the stretch.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersSunday 8/24, 5:26 PM CT
Brewers outfielder Mike Cameron had a stellar day, going 5-for-5 and hitting his 23rd home run of the year to help the Brewers beat the Pirates 4-3 in extra innings.

Our View: Cameron's average in the month of August rose to .360. He is a streaky hitter, and switches between hot and cold often. However, his power and decent speed are good tools for fantasy owners to utilize.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersSaturday 8/16, 10:11 AM CT
Brewers outfielder Mike Cameron is having a much better August than he did other months, but he has a difficult opponent tonight in L.A.'s Derek Lowe. Cameron is just 4-for-30 in his career against the right-hander.

Our View: Cameron's average is a measly .133 against Lowe, and he he has also struck out 11 times against him. If you have another option, try to use him.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersThursday 8/14, 5:25 PM CT
Mike Cameron went 2-for-4 including a home run off Trevor Hoffman in the ninth inning, but it wasn't enough as the Brewers fell to San Diego 3-2.

Our View: Cameron has had a great August, hitting .310 with five home runs, nine RBI and four stolen bases. That's the type of production fantasy owners love at this stage of the season. He was certainly on the rosters of NL-only league owners, and mixed league owners should start to take notice as well.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 8/8, 10:27 PM CT
Mike Cameron hit his 18th home run of the season on Friday as he also knocked in his 48th run for the Brewers.

Our View: With 78 games played, Cameron is on a 162 game that would produce roughly 35 home runs, 100 RBI and 20 SB. He has also been coming through in the clutch of late with eight RBI over his last nine games.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersSaturday 7/26, 10:05 PM CT
After another hitless night in which he went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts, Mike Cameron is now hitting .228, and is in a 4-for-28 slump.

Our View: Stay away from him for fantasy purposes. Despite his 15 home runs, that batting average will just do too much damage.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersSaturday 7/19, 12:22 PM CT
Mike Cameron was 2-for-3 with a home run and two walks on Friday against the Giants.

Our View: After his .203 June, Cameron has rebounded to hit .333 with 10 RBI in 13 July games.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 7/2, 11:46 PM CT
It's a running theme of the night as teams across the major leagues are finding more runs on fewer hits to earn the win, and such was the case for the Milwaukee Brewers this evening in their 4-3 win over Arizona. Outfielder Mike Cameron led the way, going 2-for-4 with ninth double of the season to post two RBIs for the game.

Our View: Cameron hit a hot streak in the middle of June but has since cooled, going 5-for-24 with no homers since June 23rd (tonight's RBIs being the only runs driven in during that span).
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 6/24, 9:53 PM CT
Mike Cameron went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts on Tuesday. It was his second game back since injuring his big toe.

Our View: Cameron has 18 whiffs in his last 44 at-bats.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersMonday 6/23, 8:39 PM CT
Mike Cameron made a successful return to the lineup Monday after missing four games with a hyperextended right big toe. The outfielder had a two-run homer and a walk in four plate appearances.

Our View: Cameron's batting average (.224) is bad (Isn't it always?), but his power numbers (12 homers, 28 RBI) are quite good considering he's played just 41 games.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersMonday 6/23, 2:38 PM CT
Mike Cameron is expected to return to the Brewers' lineup tonight against the Braves, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. The veteran slugger missed the last four games with a hyper-extended right big toe.

Our View: He in penciled in to bat sixth in the order, between Corey Hart and Bill Hall. He is only hitting .222, but still holds value in the power department as he has 11 homers over 158 at-bats.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 6/20, 5:11 PM CT
Mike Cameron is not in the Brewers lineup for the second straight time on Friday due to a hyperextended big toe, and he will miss the entire series with the Orioles, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Gabe Kapler will start in his place.

Our View: This should be a short-term issue, but those of you looking for at-bats could run to the waiver-wire and target Gross who should see some action over the weekend.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersWednesday 6/18, 10:26 PM CT
The Brewers scattered 11 hits over eight innings to total just enough runs to win, defeating the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4. Outfielder Mike Cameron was the man in charge, going 1-for-4 with his 11th homer of the season to total two RBIs and two runs scored, also adding his fifth stolen base of the season.

Our View: Cameron now carries four homers with seven RBIs for the month of June, but is hitting just .212 with 14 strikeouts versus just seven walks.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersSunday 6/15, 5:46 PM CT
Mike Cameron went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer in Sunday's 4-2 victory over Minnesota.

Our View: That was his 10th homer of the season, with three coming over his last five games. Too bad he is still hitting a mere .225, with 53 strikeouts.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersSunday 6/8, 3:10 PM CT
The slumping Mike Cameron was out of the lineup Sunday for the third time in four games, and when he does return to action, he's likely to be hitting lower in the order, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "I might do that," said manager Ned Yost. "I'm thinking of that. I don't know. We'll see. I'm thinking through it, with an off day (today). I don't want to act on impulse. But we're getting closer to that point. Maybe move both players and they both take off. I've got to think through it and make sure the timing is right."

Our View: J.J. Hardy would replace Cameron in the two hole. Cameron is hitting just .214 in 32 games, though he does have seven homers.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersSunday 5/25, 5:46 PM CT
Milwaukee outfielder Mike Cameron did what he could at the plate today to bring the Brewers success, but it was for naught as his team fell 7-6 to the Nationals. Cameron went 2-for-5, hitting his sixth home run of the season to gather two RBIs and one run scored on the day.

Our View: Cameron has six home runs and 15 RBIs through the month of May after missing the bulk of the first weeks of the season to injury.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersTuesday 5/20, 9:40 PM CT
The Brewers enjoyed a flurry of offense in taking the 7-2 whooping stick to Pittsburgh this evening a outfielder Mike Cameron led the way. Cameron went 3-for-4 at the dish with is fifth home run of the season, totaling two RBIs with one walk and two men left on base.

Our View: Cameron was caught stealing as well, but he gathered six total bases on the night and set the pace for an evening in which the Brewers posted 14 total hits.

Mike Cameron went 2-for-5 with a pair of homers in Sunday's loss to the Astros. He drove in four runs on the day.

Our View: Cameron has already swatted three homers in his first week with the Brewers. As usual, though, he is also striking out a lot. Fantasy owners know well what to expect out of the veteran.

Mike Cameron's 2008 debut went about as well as could be expected, as the outfielder picked up three hits, scored two runs and drove in another two. He hit second in the lineup.

Mike Cameron will make his 2008 season debut on Tuesday after serving his 25-game suspension, according to the AP. In October, Cameron was suspended 25 games for a second positive test for a banned stimulant.

Our View: Cameron possesses solid power and his home run totals should improve while he now plays his home games at hitter friendly Miller Field, as opposed to San Diego's pitcher friendly PETCO Park. He will help the Brewers defensively too, as he is a former Gold Glove winner in center field.
Mike Cameron, CF, Milwaukee BrewersFriday 4/25, 5:02 PM CT
Mike Cameron is eligible to return from his suspension on Tuesday and will immediately be inserted into the Brewers everyday lineup.

Our View: Cameron's numbers should improve with his move from PETCO Park to Miller Field. Over his last nine big league seasons Cameron has averaged 23 home runs and 25 stolen bases (based on 140 games). Don't expect the veteran to hit for a big average or approach 25 steals, but NL-only owners who roster Cameron shouldn't hesitate placing him into the Week 5 starting lineup.

Mike Cameron hit a home run in his first minor league game of the season for Triple-A Nashville. He has served 22 games of his 25-game suspension for taking a banned stimulant.

Our View: It sounds like he will be good to go next week for fantasy owners.

Mike Cameron traveled for the three game series in St Louis, and is working out with his teammates, this according to JS Online.

Mike Cameron and Tony Gwynn Jr. are both expected to join their teammates and fellow Brewers on Monday for an optional workout held during that team’s day off, according to MLB.com.

Our View: Mike Cameron was suspended for a second positive drug test last season and is nearing the half-way point of that suspension. He is allowed to spend time with the team and take batting practice, so long as he is not in attendance at the stadium when the gates open for spectators. He is also allowed to play for a minor league affiliate during the final five games of his suspension to help him prepare for his return, and the team expects Cameron to play with Triple-A Nashville to take advantage of that opportunity. Cameron is eligible to return to the majors on April 29th. Gwynn did not travel with the team on their current trip to New York due to injury and is hoping to simply gain much-needed practice to regain form for his eventual return.

Mike Cameron is applying for a therapeutic use exemption that would allow him to take certain supplements or substances not currently approved by MLB, according to MLB.com. He also plans to undergo a series of neurological tests on Friday to see if he's still feeling the effects of a 2005 outfield collision with then-teammate Carlos Beltran. Cameron, who is facing a 25-game suspension at the start of the season for testing positive a second time for a banned stimulant, said that he feels fine physically but that he's been having some minor mental lapses sometimes. This news isn't likely to affect Cameron's fantasy value one way or another.

Mike Cameron sat out Wednesday's workout to rest a sore left leg. "I felt a little something (Tuesday), so I thought I better have it looked at," Cameron told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. The outfielder might skip Thursday's workout, as well. "If it was the middle of the season, I don't think he would have thought twice about it," said manager Ned Yost. This is no big deal, especially considering Cameron has to serve a 25-game suspension at the beginning of the year, anyway.

FoxSports' Ken Rosenthal reports the Brewers have reached a one-year agreement with Mike Cameron. The deal is pending a physical and will be for $7 million in 2008 with a $10 million club option for 2009. Cameron, who batted .242 with 21 homers and 18 steals last year, will be the Brewers' everyday center fielder, meaning Bill Hall will move to third base and Ryan Braun will shift to left field. It's worth noting, though, that Cameron will miss the first 25 games of the 2008 season for testing positive a second time for a banned stimulant, so the year will begin with Braun at the hot corner and Hall in center.

The Brewers are interested in bringing in center fielder Mike Cameron. The move would result in Bill Hall either going back to the infield or being dealt and Ryan Braun heading out to left field, according to Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Brewers GM Doug Melvin has stated previously that he would be reluctant to ask Hall to change positions again, which could mean a trade is more likely if the team signs Cameron, who is suspended for the first 25 games of the season for testing positive for a banned stimulant last year. Stay tuned.

With Torii Hunter out of the picture, the Rangers could shift their attention to Mike Cameron. Cameron, who has to serve a 25-game suspension at the start of next season for testing positive for a banned substance, could probably be had for a two- or three-year commitment at less than $10 million per year, which is more attractive to the Rangers than giving Andruw Jones or Aaron Rowand a multi-year deal, according to the Dallas Morning News. The team could also pursue a trade for Boston's Coco Crisp.

Mike Cameron has been suspended for the first 25 games of the 2008 season after testing positive a second time for a banned stimulant, according to the AP. "The one thing I wanted to make sure was explained is, no steroids," Cameron told AM 1090, the Padres' flagship radio station. "I never took nothing like that before in my life. That would be 50 games, and that would affect me a whole lot more." This is bad timing for Cameron, who is set to become a free agent. Teams looking for a center fielder will still pursue him this winter, but it could give some clubs some pause, considering he'll miss roughly the first month of the year.
