Leafs acquire Grabovski from Habs
Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired center Mikhail Grabovski from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for the rights to 2008 draft pick Greg Pateryn and a second-round choice in the 2010 draft.

Grabovski, just 24 years old, notched three goals and six assists in 24 games for the Canadiens last season and missed 25 games because of an ankle injury. He also posted 20 points in 12 games with Hamilton of the American Hockey League.

The Maple Leafs are getting closer to signing highly regarded Swedish defenseman Jonas Frogren, according to TSN. "We have never stopped a player who wanted to become an NHL professional, and when we could (we try to) find a solution with Jonas and his agent became (so) all the parties are satisfied," said Farjestad president Thomas Runddqvist.

Our View:Frogren has told a local Swedish newspaper that he is on his way to Toronto after a season of just one point and 38 PIM in 47 games hinting at his lack of ability on offense.

The Leafs have inked former Canadiens' center Mikhail Grabovsky to a one-year deal, according to TSN. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Our View:The 24-year-old recorded three goals and six assists over 24 games with Montreal in 2007-08.

The Montreal Canadiens and general manager Bob Gainey still believe they can land free agent Mats Sundin, according to Slam! Sports.

Our View:Sundin is taking his time deciding whether or not he even wants to play this season. If he does, he is a top fantasy player, as he put up 32 goals and 46 assists last season, and has a +/- of +17.
