Rangers lose to Isles in shootout, will battle for home ice Sunday
New York, NY (Sports Network) - Richard Park scored the game-winner in the fourth round of the shootout as the Islanders downed the Rangers, 4-3, in the back end of a home-and-home set at Madison Square Garden.

Jaromir Jagr posted a goal and an assist while Henrik Lundqvist finished the game with 29 saves for the Rangers, who had won their previous two games and with 96 points sit in the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference. That's one behind the Devils.

Player Notes
Wade Dubielewicz, G Saturday 4/5, 10:16 AM CT
Wade Dubielewicz continues to work late-season magic for the New York Islanders, kicking 48 of 51 shots on goal to the side in leading his team to a hard-fought, OT victory, 4-3, over the New York Rangers. Dubie comes off three consecutive losses following a hot start, having joined the team in January as an AHL call-up. His save percentage his dropped to 91.9%, but outings like this show the tender has potential to do better.
Joey MacDonald, G Tuesday 4/1, 9:07 PM CT
The Islanders may have fallen short of their hopes in allowing the Devils to secure a spot in the upcoming NHL Playoffs, but goalie Joey MacDonald did what he could to prevent the 2-1 loss. MacDonald stopped 45 of 47 shots on goal in just his second start this season. Who knows what the future holds for MacDonald, but he certainly flashed strong potential in the heartbreaking loss this evening.
Kyle Okposo, W Tuesday 4/1, 7:21 PM CT
Kyle Okposo , the top prospect and future superstar for the New York Islanders, is reportedly going to get a strong look in the team’s remaining nine games, according to the New York Daily News. Okposo has joined the team and will be seeing significant playing time starting tonight versus Toronto. The 7th-overall pick of the 2006 NHL entry draft, Okposo left the University of Minnesota early after signing a three-year, entry-capped contract in December, an agreement that does not take hold until next season as long as the 19-year-old phenom plays in less than 10 games. That time has come.
